You can take a set of Micrometers and T gages to check it. I asked my machine shop to check it when I had them hone it. So I got a standard set of rings and bearings
@@MooreProjects thanks so send the block and head to a shop and have them re seat the valves and hone the cylinders? And check the size I’ll need? First engine rebuild just trying to figure it out
@@jakeblowme310 yes I would take it to a shop and get everything checked by a machine shop so they can verify how much material needs to be taken off for everything to work properly. Then order your rebuild parts according to them. If they are just honing the block and micro polishing the crank, and it’s the first rebuild on the engine, then you can assume to use Standard sized rings and bearing
And no i highly doubt it bottomed out with that much threads I guarantee you it gripped with the bottom/3rd ring and it started to grip with it causing it to not go down further
I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to spin the whole column. You loosen the 2nd one and spin the top ring to lower it right? Spin the 2nd one to raise it, cause all it does it spin the spindle. Not the springs. Right?
They have them on eBay. CRV cluster overlay. I love them. Easy to install, just be careful when sliding the overlay over the needles. I broke one of mine and had to source another cluster from the junkyard.
Thanks brother. Just got me another 2000. Needs some work though but getting it fixed piece by piece. Love your vids. One more question for you, how are those coilovers holding up? I'm looking at getting those this week.
Not to be mean . But I just installed the same and all I did was lift it up broke the fork bolt and shock loose. Then dropped the spring. I took nothing else loose same for the rear. Other than content I see no reason for all that work you did
Dude he literally said at the start of the video that it wasn’t necessary and he was only doing it to replace other parts while he was already in there..
Bro you took apart waayyyyyy more than you needed to just undo the bolt at the bottom of the fork and the bolt at the top of the fork and the two on top u see the hood and done no need to remember the whole brake and axle assembly
@@MooreProjects yep, i did the right rear this evening when i got home and sure enough, with adjusting the load on that one wheel improved the ride 100% alone, I'm doing the left rear and the front tomorrow and replacing the lower ball joints so i cant wait till im finished
Man dude, the springs on the rear were adjusted all the way up, there was no spring in them at all, i adjusted the load like you showed in your video and now its like i ride on clouds,, so comfortable that now my wife falls asleep when we go anywhere long distance,, now now in turn my car is soooooo much quieter ... Lol
@@MooreProjects hey, is there a way to adjust the toe in or out on the rear? If you have a video on that will you send me the link,, BTW.. mine sits lower than yours,, i call it the georgia slam, 😁😁😁😁
Well I did say at the beginning I was rebuilding all of suspension. So I also made it a better view to see what you were doing. And the upper adjustable control arms are a must if you are lowering unless you grind your factory ones down some so they don’t get stuck in the frame

How much lower than stock would they be if the set at max ride height?
You can set it basically at stock height in the front and it would be about an inch lowered in the rear at max height
How did you determine the ring size for the cylinder bore when you built the b20z
If you could point me in the right direction with that it would be appreciated
