I actually don't plan on installing LEDs - I'm of the opinion that in actual real world application whiter light = less visibility. Projectors are superior even for halogen bulbs, and doing a retrofit like this will definitely improve visibility - old school halogens or not! Thanks for the tutorial, just got my set today.
Tell me about it. I actually bought the Morimoto MLED 2.0 projectors for my 2010 Honda Fit and I ended up exchanging them through a warranty claim and later selling them because I just couldn't see at night. Xenon HIDs in a proper projector all the way for me!
Thanks dude. Yeah miromoto will be excellent quality I’m sure and will probably work slightly better than the ones I used. But I’m all about doing stuff on a budget and it works good enough that I’m happy with it without breaking the bank. Plus the car looks different than others CRVs on the road so it’s cool to be different
Pretty sure you just have to wire the flap to high beam signal wire. So when you pull the high beams it should move. I’m doing mine soon so I’ll comment later on how I got it to work
Do you know what size the bolts were that you had to find to hold the shrouds in place? Thank you awesome writeup! I'm doing this since my depot lights have zero light output...
Wait so does anyone know what kind of bulbs I need to buy or leds or hids to fit into the small hole the way his did ? Cuz I got hids but they didn’t fit in the hole at the end of the halo
@@MooreProjects yeah I was looking at morimoto ones and noticed that they are made overseas. Just wondering if "ebay" ones and morimoto ones come from the same factory lol 😆
So I have the projectors but without angel eye, getting ready to do this but I don’t understand if it’s required to use h1 bulb. H1 bulb only has 2 connectors are you using the angle eye as drl?
@@MooreProjects from the information from the projectors seller, the projectors should be wired to high beam and the flapper motor thingy not sure the name of it should be changing hi beam low beam blocking the beam. Gonna play with it might possibly mod them to fit the h4 somehow
I'm thinking about doing this set up. Was thinking about using the h4 bulb, find one that fits in the projector of course and plug like normal and wire the projector flapper to the hi beam wire so when I switched to high beams, the bulb will go hi beam and the flapper also will open... Think it will work?
HIDs would be better since it’s more light area that shines overall. I used LEDs because I’ve had less issues with LEDs over the years than I did with HID kits
@@gregorytextoris9246 they are bright enough for me to see. But make sure you buy decent headlight bulbs. The first set I bought were only $12 and were NOT bright enough. But neither set have gave me issues in the projector setup using them for prolonged periods

I actually ended up wiring it up to my low beam power wire to the light bulb. So it just automatically stays on high all the time
Thanks I appreciate
How's that housing/led strip holding up? It would suck to have it go out and have to open up the headlight just to change it.
No issues so far. Both the white and orange are holding up just fine. Not sure on the longevity of it but so far so good
