- Apart from making videos and going out camping and motorcycling etc, I also have a day job and luckily it's I don't have to travel far to work as I have my own Workshop right here in the garden:)
My other channel and for more info: / jackloreknives
Craftsmanship at its finest Sandy. Another beautiful knife. I know at the moment you’re not taking orders but I’d love to buy a matching classic and wasp. I keep checking the website but missed out on a few knives now. Keep up the great work.
I did the same thing back in 2016, just remember that it takes 2-3 weeks to make them and when he says "I am gonna start a new batch in a few days" you'll know about when to check the website periodically and you'll get lucky like I did. Good Luck to you Paul!
I’m doing the same check to the website… got it on a shortcut favourite now… o’ll keep checking 😜
I do love watching you build knives. Outstanding craftsmanship, beautiful end results Sandy!
Sandy, I'm one of those people who didn't know this about you
now, I love you more than ever
craftsmanship means more to me than anything
this is a wonderful presentation
thank you for sharing
I'll be on the website as well
Enjoyed that and what a beautiful result. Your a man of many talents Sandy 👍

Really top notch knife Gotta cut the chase lol Just out of interest do you know how much these knives cost ???

Hap-E 2022 Sandy & Family, Love This Knife Build ! Stay Safe & Healthy, Friend, From Frosty Canada. ATB T God Bless
Some of these are my favourite vids Sandy. The craftsmanship and knowledge time and care put into each knife is phenomenal.Anyone who buys one is never going to get a finer blade for their money.Id have loved one 30 years ago lol.I manage quiet well with my Mora now in my twighlight years and trust me mine are well abused and still usable.Take care stay safe hope Mandy is recovering in comfort.Kind Regards Tony
Absolutely beautiful! It is always a joy to watch a true craftsman at work, no matter what they are creating. Thank you for sharing.
Do you have a website ?.
I’m looking for nice bushcraft knife .
Del
Yes Del I have a website www.jacklore.com but I'm so busy and don't take orders at the moment
A Master Craftsman !
Painstaking professional. Excellent product. Congratulations.
Alot of attention to detail there you dont get with mass produced stuff. With all the knife stabbings going on it looks like government will toughen up the law to make it more difficult to purchase them, which i wonder may have a knock on effect in your ability to sell them? As these are bushcraft camping knifes aren't there laws preventing people from carrying them outdoors where if caught you can be prosecuted? I think if the blade is over a certain length.
Outstanding.
Awesome skills and craftsmanship absolutely awesome......i bet you was Japaneese in a previous life.......do you accept deposits for the knives ?????
Skills ,which hopefully will survive ,excellent craftsmanship.
Craftsmanship at its best ,
Beautiful work Jack mesmerising where can I find your knives
Lovely. The pleasure of making something so beautiful must be amazing. HNY
Lovely to see Hand made craft here locally! We as society have lost the ability to make and create so many objects! So it's wonderful to see this! Lovely work!
Beautiful knives !!! If I needed one I would definitely would be trying to buy one . 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦
That was mesmerising Sandy. I will check your other channel for more videos- that wasvery relaxing to watch. Thanks for posting
I’ve been following your vlogs now for some time, very inspiring. My mates and I live in Swindon and regularly go camping off of our motorcycles. We have access to some local woodland near blunsdon.would you and your biker mate be interested in camping out/talking bikes/bushcraft/knives, etc. ???When the weather finally breaks😆
Hi Sandy. Glad I got mine when I did... still has pride of place in my collection..... will be in touch soon for a new commission. Greetings from the frozen Rhein Valley.
Irritated I purchased one earlier today from Gerber, not you mate. Next time. Your work, looks high quality.
Clever man Sandy👌👏 I had no idea of your day job! Heading over to your RUclips channel and website right now👍KTF🙏
Absolutely top class finish, lovely craftsmanship
I’d be to scared to use it Sandy
I've been subscribed to your channel for months now. I'm a keen cyclist and enjoyed your cycling adventures.
I'm also a keen bushcrafter, but had no idea you made knives! I can see why they are in demand, that is a beauty you created :)

Great skills Sandy great video! Regards Fred ps loved that soundtrack
You should be very proud of the skill you have there Mr W. Beautiful looking knife. Perhaps take on an apprentice to pass on that skill
I have spent 16hrs hand grinding a secondary bevel off a used scandi I bought its hard graft I take my hat off to you
Beautiful work there my friend. The only bad thing about that knife is that it will not be posted to me! OH well! :)
A beautiful piece. It puts my efforts to shame, but I get a buzz out of making things nevertheless.
Another beautiful specimen of a knife Sandy, everytime I use mine I thank you. Hope Mandy is recovering well after her fall and all the very best to you both in 2022, my kind regards.
All the best for 22 Paul
Wonderful piece of top quality craftsmanship. I had no idea you made knives.
i would love to buy a hand made knife from yourself of that calibre.
Beautiful Sandy all the best for the coming year my friend
Wow ! Who knew - I was flicking between bike and knife videos , and Wiltshire Man does both !
Tried to buy one of these beautiful knives a couple of times , kept trying but to no avail , gave up now .
Beautiful! So much work.
Lovely Sandy. You make great knives !
One word masterpiece . Best wishes dave chubb
I love my Jacklore Wasp. Sandy delivered it to me in Shrivenham personally on his motorbike. Facinating to see how much skilled work goes into them. I'm hoping to go on a wild camp with Sandy soon .
Be so good to get oot n boot I myself am just getting started n it wood be really great to have a gooood knife to have confidence in.
I am or have been involved with knives all my life, this came with my profession of being a fish merchants son thus having handled one or two along the way!
#AKnifeForLife !!
Wonder what that particular knife went for ??
Greetings from Cumbria
hadn't realized how much material has to be shaped to get that nice full handle. starts off as quite a lump
Great video Sandy, I first watched your camping videos, then I saw you ride bikes and now I find that you are a craftsman. I'd love one of your knives, they look superb.
Had no idea this was your day job well done Sandy
Dave B. Thailand.
I’ve always have liked your knives and this one I think is my favorite
Truly amazing a craftsman at one with his trade
Would be great to see your craftsmanship continue via a family member or local apprenticeship.
I doubt it very much, it will probably die with me though I have helped quite a few newbies
@@WiltshireMan Sandy, since we can't all live down the street from you, you will likely never know what the inspiration that your videos to try a craft may ultimately yield, but the sharing of your knowledge and experience, whether knifemaking, motorcycling, wilderness camping, or just how to live in this permanent form is, in a very real sense, your enduring legacy to us all. We may not be able to do the things that you do, but you always inspire us to strive to that goal. Thank you. Keep yourself and your family safe. David
Would love to buy one of these, pity they are only for sale now and again :-(
That's dedication sandy fantastic job
Great video Sandy, so relaxing to watch a craftsman at work. Happy new year to you and your family and I hope Mandy is soon back on her feet (literally) ;-)
Utility knives do not mind mild scratches
Quallity work Sandy 👍👍👍
Wonderful craftmanship Sandy - thank you so much for sharing this video. Hope Mandy gets well soon.
Is there anything that you can't do sandy ?
A master craftsman at work , I can see how it is very time consuming . But the quality really stands out in the finished knife 👌
Incredible work as usual sandy, top quality.
Superb attention to detail 👍🏻
That is a work of art great job. And thanks for sharing.
Hi sandy what's the cost of one of these pls
When I got involved with knife making and my own youtube channel I found Sandy’s site very soon. Very soon I also bumbed into this other site Wiltshire Man …and wait a minute…! The same guy !!! making other kind of videos, camping etc. Since then Sandy has filled up my youtube world very well! Thank you Sandy for all these years 💙👍🏻👋🏻🇫🇮
Osmo
Thanks Osmo. Happy new year
I didn’t know you made knives, you’re a man of many talents 👍. I have all purpose grizzly camping knife , took me a while to save up for it I hope to put it into practice as I’ve been learning camping skills of RUclips some from you.
Hi Donna, yes I build knives on a small scale, usually finish around 12 each month and have been doing it for 12 years now so I reckon I've now built around 1728 knives to date :) I think I shall always build them even in my dotage but I am beginning to slow down a bit now.
I have a RUclips channel devoted to the knife making www.youtube.com/@Jackloreknives
Absolute Perfection !!!
How much is one like that please
I dread to think the cost of these , like a stradivarius violin. Tremendous attention to detail and what a product. Craftsmanship is something society and history used to appreciate. I hope the human aspect of making things which brings a lot of joy to both maker and user is not forgotten in a world of cheap mass produced really average clutter. I know we should all use them but I also hope some will not get battered so we can show that not everything in the uk post millennium was cheap imported junk. Hats offs to a master craftsman.
Thanks, I onlky make a hand ful of knives each month and don't make a great deal of money making them, just enough to get by
Happy new year to you and you Mrs Sandy
wow! that was awesome! 😊
can you do a vid of actually making the blade from scratch? (making and prepping the handle too... like the prequal to this one!) that would be bril! 😁 (of course not everything, just time lapse it like this one)
Loads of vids like that on my other channel Geoff
That is one beautiful knife!
Lovely knife. Are you taking back orders? Norbert M0CEL
No orders Norbert sorry, I just build them and sell them when they are finished on my website. I had an order book in the past but it was hard work. It's difficult to explain but working without an order book keeps me free which is something I value
That was a beautiful knife man
Wow ! I never knew you made knives. I thought those 4 Jacklore knives in my kit bag were all made in China.
All Clay comes from China. It's in Cornwall
That is amazing , you clearly put a lot of work into making it , when I bought my grizzly what I found hard was trying to understand the different hardness’s of the steel etc ,I read about it but am still none the wiser 🤔👍
It's a bit of a science, I have a Rockwell tester here so can test every blade. The Rockwell scale is exponential which means a 59Hrc knife is a lot harder than a 58Hc, in the old days a knife was considered good if it made 55Hrc
I have a friend that engraves firearms. I can watch him work all day and never want to touch the finished product as I would be afraid to drop it. Watching you make a knife and the care you put into the making of it I would say I wouldn't want to take it into the field, BUT. You make a quality product for working in the field. Quality has a price and if you have to look at the price and wonder if it is worth it you should buy one from the grocery store. If you want a quality product you go to a craftsman. Sandy you are a craftsman. And to think I started watching your videos because you are an Amateur Radio operator. Man of many talents.!!!
I hear what U R saying about prices!
How ever its part of the deal isn't it !
My wife wanted to get me a Gooood one OK thanks 😊
Stunning work mate.
I did it the other way round. I knew about the knives before I realised you were on RUclips, then saw the knife making before the rest. I hadn't realised you had started making them again.
I've never stopped making them
Absolutely beautiful 🤩
That’s a knife🔪👍🎥
just fantastic work new to this channel and already found some fantastic vids
Welcome aboard Dave, thanks, Theres a lot of different videos here mostly about the outdoors
Sandy why are you mixing your channels up ... most who follow you do so on both your channels
There's quite a few new subscribers who may be interested in the knife channel too
I am lucky enough to own two Jacklore knives which I have had for a few years now and I am still as pleased with them as the day they arrived, the materials you use and the finish you get are outstanding, you are a true craftsman Sandy and that description I would apply to everything you do and I always look forward to your next video, keep up the good work
Thanks Jim thats very kind
How could you, deprive others of owning one?
another stunner there sandy
And she makes my dinner!
Sandy Happy new years !
I have seen yon horse on hillside, twixt Bristol and Stonehenge.
I have learnt something, just by watching. Thank you.
Works of art 🤯😍🤯
What grinder is that sandy if you don't mind where did you purchase it from
The grinder is made by Downland engineering, a quick google search should find them
That’s incredible 👏 quality workmanship gonna try and be lucky and purchase one 👍🤞
Just beautiful ...

Good grief! A secret life as a Knife maker? As well as a secret life a a lantern collector, stove collector, dog whisperer, and (secret) brand ambassador Chugs? What a busy bloke you are. ((o;
