I had to try this product a couple times to find a good way to use it. I have found that with the soufflé, if I use this product sparingly for a twist or braid out, it does great. There is a VERY FINE line between using the right amount and using too much...way more than with any other product I've tried. Also, I've found that combination to be awesome for bitter cold weather, keeping my hair moisturized. I probably won't repurchase this one, but I have tried very hard to find a use for it while I have it.
It’s hard for me to want to play and work with products when there are so many good ones out there. And products in general. Shea Moisture’s Coconut and Hibiscus makes you work too hard, lol.
Lol...I feel ya! I tried the souffle when I had a twa and loved it. So about a year later, I thought I'd try this stuff too. Since I have it, thought I might as well give it another try.
Great review! I can't stand products that leave an awful residue! Dark n lovey coile soufflé does that but the curl define doesn't but it does feel greasy.
Great video as always. I've tried that line too (didn't like the gel either, way too greasy) and the Moisture Retention line. Initially the shampoos and conditioners made my hair feel really nice and soft. After using it for 8 weeks or so my hair became very hard and dry. Thought it may have been product buildup. Tried clarifying and deep conditioning with moisturizing conditioner. This still didn't help. I guess their products have too much protein for my hair.
I think the product works best for a more defined twist or braid out, but it must be used sparingly or it comes out too sticky. I have a love/hate relationship with this product.
Finally able to leave a comment but not from my mobile account. I have really tried to like this line as well but its just not happening. I have tried 4 of their products and 3 of them all leave my hair flaky and goopy. No bueno!
