In today's content, we look at perhaps one of the most ridiculous cross-over games in history when we look at The King of Fighters All-Star X WWE. A mobile game that mixes a roster of WWE Superstars with fighting game favorites. What does this game bring to the table?

This game is not so bad if you’re into beat-'em-ups like Final Fight, Double Dragon or Streets of Rage. The graphics on this game is pretty impressive considering it’s for mobile.
WWE crossover legit brought me back to the game, The Rock telling Orochi it doesn't matter what his name is, don't care about his tattoos or why he's floating in event stories had me laughing for hours 🤣

They did though not way you think. Their wrestling fighting game is King of the Monsters in which it is a wrestle mania game but with 6 kaiju (most which are homages Japanese kaiju cinema such as Godzilla and Ultraman) rampaging across 6 Japanese cities. 🦍🦖🏬🏭🏯🕋

@@michaelwhitmire9015 I totally agree! 100%! It should play just like the 1st game with it's wrestle mania style fighting mechanics with some improvements to update it's gameplay. Have all 6 monsters (Geon the dinosaur, Woo the Ape, Beetlemania, Poison Ghost, Rocky, and Astro-Guy) and all 6 Japanese cities (Tokyo, Kyoto, Okayama, Osaka, Kobe, and Hiroshima) return. But of course, expand the roster with new monsters (probably one based on the kaiju turtle, Gamera and the kaiju version of Frankenstein from the Toho Frankenstein movies to name a few) and more cities to battle and destroy. The games arcade mode should be a mix between the 1st and 2nd KOM games in which first you fight the playable monsters to then fight the bosses from KOM2. If Samurai Shodown can return, so can this Monster Mash. 🕶👍
One of my favourite mobile games. The crossover made sense in a weird way. KOF All Stars seriously deserves a big brother console version.
This was actually last year, they're doing Dead or Alive 6 now.
Other fantastic collabs also include Tekken 7, Samurai Shodown IV, GinTama, Seven Deadly Sins, and Netmarble's own IP, Seven Knights! :D

There is a solid fighting game under the surface, and the rates aren't completely unfair. I've gotten respectable results with little cost on everything but SamSho.

At least you can still use previous collabs characters on the beginner Time Attack mode.
i too got in on this crossover. Just for Netmarble to get a WWE license and then to get Michael Cole to do some voiceover work was pretty extraordinary. Its a fun beat em up even if its a whale heavy game. Im waiting for an SF cross over to happen. doing a Capcom vs SNK mobile thing would be a bit of treat.
You're out of your mind...this should ABSOLUTELY exist (at least conceptually), and there should be more of it. Just as a legit non-gacha game.

I'm guilty of putting quite a few hours into All-Stars. This crossover event still baffles me. It's like a cereal mascot bursting through your wall and asking if you always wanted the taste of rusted nails for breakfast.
This game had so much goddamn potential. I couldn't imagine playing as Terry Bogard, Jin Kazama and John Cena all in one arena. So many KoF characters, and it's a pay to win Gacha... I have this game in my phone, and I've only played it 4 times so far
A couple facts you didn't mention: Angel from KOF is a fan of wrestling, and she even does the People's Elbow. Also, Ramon is literally a luchador.
I used to play KoF All Stars but after 2 years it became a chore to to daily tasks and the developers weren't even trying anymore to hide that every change they made was a trap to make you spend money (Which I never did luckily).
It was a nice beat em up with a great idea for the story but it got stuck and I doubt they will ever finish it anyway
But the real question is: Can the SNK characthers SEE John Cena?

Maybe that's what he was called outside America? I know WWE travels world wide, so maybe Undertaker had to change his name to suit other regions or something.
KOF All Star collabs with Gintama, Tekken and The Seven Deadly Sins are the best for me.

To be fair, the core game is "fun" but the lack of agency in choosing new characters and upgrades will ruin the experience unless you have absolutely 0 investment in character preference and can comfortably play at the f2p rate.

How about the Brawlhalla X WWE crossover? rumors suggest that Ryu and Chun-Li will be add to that game soon
or that World of Tanks x WWE crossover from several months back.
The story is funny as hell, the ones of the collabs... or the regular events like Boss Sygnature os Special Signature...
Boss Syndrome and Special Signature are upgraded version of original boss and signature fighter on KOF universe.

The crossover is great and i collected all of them, Cena was at S Tier the whole time and you can win with infinites on multiplayer.
I wanted them to return for another new roster, like adding Roman Reigns in it.

As someone who plays KOFAS, you can get away with just playing and not dropping a single cent. There's plenty of events and giveaways to get in currency items and to have a chance to compete with top players. This was probably the weirdest crossover but currently there's one with Dead Or Alive. If you like beat em ups, KOF or fighting games in general and are not worried about heavy execution, it is fun for on the go. No need to call people stupid for playing something they enjoy. If you like it enough, then there's no harm in supporting their work but save that dough for KOFXV though. I'll be on that as well.

If KOF15 truly wants to shatter all expectations they’ll bring at least some of the crossovers from KOF All-Stars into 15.
Tekken, WWE and/or DOA would be my preference. Maybe some more SamSho characters to join Nakoruru assuming she comes back.

Yeah, it's not pay to win & you don't have to spend money to get the characters you want. It just takes time getting the currency & leveling up your characters. If you don't have time or patience that's your fault but that doesn't make it pay to win.

I pulled them all at the time. The problem with this game is that you need to pull the character and their card to use them, meaningfully, in late game / end game. And that destroyed the fun of everything.
I'd love to see you do a video about WWE All Stars for PS3 and Xbox 360. It's by far the most fun wrestling game I've ever played. It's like NBA Jam meets wrestling.
King of fighters all stars is beat em up for the most part but also has a fighting game-like PvP mode. The WWE guys are actually strong in there although they have been powercreeped. Also the storyline for this collab was hilarious.
The game is gacha but used to be very F2P friendly, sadly it's been going into a P2W direction lately

I just started playing this game earlier this week. The gacha mechanic is worse in this than in most games I've played, and I can only imagine it was just as bad during this crossover. Over 30 pulls from the event gacha and I still haven't gotten a single event fighter.
New to gacha?... I am a dolphin I I just missed a few collab characters, not that bad... 4 from tekken, and 1 from 7DS...

@@Noriega_Mxl I dig the game, just not the gacha. I've been having a blast with the game itself, tbh. The flow of the story seems pretty cool so far, but I'm only through the first game's arc. It seems a little too generous with the stamina though. 🤣
Terry Bogard is basically the video game version of John Cena.
I ended up getting Two John Cenas (Thuganomics, and Babyface), Seth Rollins, and Kofi Kingston. It was an off crossover that caught me off guard when it came out hahaha They even got Michael Cole to do voiceover too! I wish I would have gotten Becky Lynch or Taker though.
WWE did crossovers with the console/PC f2p party fighter (or platform fighter, or Smash clone, or whatever else you want to call the genre) Brawlhalla. Though I believe Brawlhalla's crossover characters are effectively costume swaps of existing characters?

The one thing the really bothers me is, that they misused the opportunity to make a crossover between The Rock and Angel, her specials are based on The Rock's moves, she even says the line "what's Angel sama cooking", but instead paired him with Rock Howard, so freaking dumb, it's obvious that this people has no real love for the franchise.

I prefer KOF All Stars do crossover with something fantasy characters. Looking forward for:
Street Fighter, Street Of Rage, Virtual Fighter, Bloody Roar, Master Of The Universe (He Man and She Ran), Thundercats, Marvel, DC, Image Comic, Mortal Kombat, Terminator etc
It also include 7 Deadly Sins Gintama Tekken Samurai Showdown Dead or Alive 7 Knights and Street Fighter characters
It would be cool to see WWE crossover with Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.

I agree with the title for sure even before watching the video. WWE lost it's touch long ago and SNK slowly climbing back at the time, it was weird. Doesnt help it happned on a wack mobile game. If KOFXV has guest teams, AEW would be the best to pick from imo

KOF All Star as a game existed way before the WWE collab and had many collabs before such as Tekken and Gintama.

I think those crazy crossovers are the most attractive of KOFAS xDD The truth at first seems an interesting game, the story is strange but it seems that whoever writes it at least knows the lore of the saga, the problem is that from 94 to 99 the game is very boring and repetitive, I think the worst thing is not to get the characters but to improve them to the maximum, you have to get the lot of objects that the developers added and that is too f**** exhausting, the other thing I do not like is the battles when there are many main characters are too chaotic and it is better to put the auto option because it does not look very well what your character is doing or where he is xDDD I only play for a while now if I have nothing better to do.

than the live-action KOF 2010 movie.
This crossover event was from a time when the game was still fun and fresh. Yes, the basic gameplay is quite shallow, but the WWE event story was surprisingly well-written and hilarious if you have some knowledge about KOF and WWE. I was pretty skeptical about the event when it was announced, but it was actually one of the best crossver events in the game's history. It wasn't even that cynical yet for a gacha game, and it was fairly generous towards free players then. Unfortunately as of this year, KOF All Star had taken a huge creative nosedive, and it's now a cynical shadow of what it was last year.
It's a shame, because cynical monetization and very poor optimization and programming aside, the game has excellent artistic values. It looks fantastic, is very well and faithfully animated and voiced, and many of the new and reimagined music tracks are excellent too. It honestly looks better than KOF IV, and if that was made using this game's assets, I don't think anyone would have minded.

I am making a guess here, but I believe that you are not a fan of this game. I would not be against seeing a fighting cross-over with the WWE and/or AEW in a traditional beat-em-up style on consoles.
