    Great video, thanks very much. I'm about to do some under car floor restoration on my latest project. After you neutralise the deoxidine with water try compressed air while you are wiping with your dry cloth. It might help especially when its humid. Subscribed for more. Cheers!

    I always found deoxidine a messy but very necessary process if you want something to last. Many probably don’t know that Holden treated the bare steel the same way.

    Hi mate great information I have ? How long can you leave it in metal after treatment befor you epoxy primer thanks michael

    • @TheRestoShed
      @TheRestoShed  6 месяцев назад

      @michaeljohn8842 I usually try and get it prepped and in epoxy within the hour ideally, you can push it a little longer depending on the humidity/weather.

      @michaeljohn8842 watch part 1 of the basic HQ body restoration series if you’ve not already. I go through the order of getting things ready/into epoxy primer.

    This is very informative
    So if I’ve got little areas in different sections of my car that I want to prevent from turning into holes I should follow this process?
    Car is painted and complete but getting little surface rust coming out

    • @TheRestoShed
      @TheRestoShed  2 года назад

      Hi mate, it really depends on the areas that the rust is coming through on.
      As long as the car is kept clean and dry you shouldn’t have to worry too much.

    Hey mate I’m restoring a HG Holden Wagon, so heaps of metal to take care of lol. Just curious mate where can I get that protec metal conditioner from?? Places like auto barn and repco don’t sell it. I’m assuming a paint supplier might sell it?

      @TheRestoShed  2 года назад +1

      Anyone paint supplier who stocks Protec should have it, but there is other brands that make the same or very similar product, this is just the one that I’ve been using for years.

    Hi just wondering do you dilute that or do you put it on straight?

      I only dilute it if it’s very minor cleaning.
