- How to: Mig Weld Sheet Metal - Butt Weld & Metal Finish
In this video we bring up some minor dents using two seperate methods and run through everything from template making to the final stages of finishing a Mig weld on the rust repair we do on our project door skin.
Thanks for posting have never seen the stiffening rib idea before great idea .
You’re welcome!
yep another good tutorial. I'm doing plenty of research before i undertake my final mig welds. this is definitely one of the most honest and detailed videos.
very impressed!! good to see another panel guy showing the work being done correctly!
Thanks mate! Wouldn’t call myself a panel guy though, just a bloke who likes to do things as best as he can
Good video mate
Another great tutorial mate! Learning heaps and can't wait for the next one. With videos like this it won't be long before you have thousands of followers.

Love ya work, keep pumping out vids
Great stuff. Wishy I'd seen this a month ago. Just did two lower hx skins, turned out ok but not to this standard.
Thank you! The main thing is to give it a go and always try and do the next one just a little bit better!
Nice finish
I disagree with your approach. To me every effort should be made to flatten and shape the imperfection before anything abrasive effort enters the game .. particularly and specifically on thin sheet material. I would have hammered the crease up into a flat dolly from the underside first.
Obviously I'm saying this from crude observations, you could have had your reasons ...
Plenty of approaches to take, I was only showing mine on this particular instance.
Hammering a panel from the backside without knowing where to accurately raise is a quick way to stretch a panel if you aren’t careful in my opinion.
