    If my Nomad 2 goes south. I'll be checking this out. But so far I have well over 100 fills with zero issues.

    Getting back into Field target shooting after a couple years off. I have always shot spring piston guns because of the air.
    I got my first PCP and a hand pump. That is all great. Next step is a compressor. And for a review this is always my favorite. Thanks Rick.

      Hey at $499 this is a steal vs what the airgun world was offering just a few years prior. no need to sell the kidney. Save 50 bucks out of each paycheck and don't buy that case of beer every week and you will have saved up enough in no time!

    I have one. Not loud. Pretty Quick at filling a 6cf, 3000 PSI cylinder. Just be sure to use a Double Filter. The one that came with had Oil in it when I was finished. My Second filter (At Tank) appeared dry.

    I own one of these and I own a 4500 PSI Vevor with auto stop. Not trying to compare the two and would definitely recommend the Air Venturi. However, when my Vevor would only pump to 2000 PSI and then give up. I contacted them. They were on the ball with steps and any parts I needed, all the parts came with the unit, to service the unit and get it running better than new. As far as my original time to 3000 PSI fill time. If I didn't have $500 dollars to commit to a compressor Vevor makes a good compressor for half the money and backs it up. Not as fast or quiet but a viable option on a budget.

    Great video. I’m a recent subscriber and relatively new Airgunner. I purchased a Nomad II just this past fall when I got into the hobby, because it was much cheaper than buying a tank with a fill valve; and a compressor that could fill a tank reliably starts around $1500 (without jumping through all kinds of hoops like the yong heng). Anyway, now I’m seeing videos about how much better the Nomad III and this RovAir both are than my Nomad II, which are giving me a big case of buyers remorse since they were both released almost right after I got my compressor. Do you have any older videos on the Nomad II in the archives that might reassure me that I made a decent purchasing decision?? Haha. Thanks.

    • @FalcoINC
      @FalcoINC Год назад

      Sorry to hear that. I almost did the same thing and picked up a nomad 2 a little while back. thankfully and just by coincidence, I made a big purchase in a different hobby so I wrote the nomad off for a little while and then all the sudden bam, the nomad 3 and this thing came out and I just ordered the Rovair. I know he's reviewed it before and some others have on RUclips as well if you search. I think the biggest difference is a little longer fill times for your N2 and I think you still may have to do some small MX service periodically.

    Its probably just me but these compressors seem a little sketchy longevity wise. I'm really 2nd guessing. I thought a tank was the way to go but now that you mentioned you can only use a portion of the air in the tank because the level drops below what's in the gun. Doesn't seem all that great now as I don't want to be running to the drive shop every other day. I'm starting to regret buying a PCP.

      Hey there. Don’t stress about what “might” happen. Just use it within spec and have fun. Even if you need to swap one every few years, they are worth the cost. I’ve used the Vevor, GX water cooled, JTS, GX battery powered, hill, ready air, and others. They all still work. If you are concerned about repairability then get the ready air. They have rebuild kits and it takes about 15 minutes to rebuild it.
      Hope that helps
      Cheers

    NOT set the pin but the midldle of the arm.
    The pin is to center the pressure arm under the setting arm.

    mine does not build air at all when I screw in the pressure release valve. New out of the box. Any tips? Its plugged in right and turns on in the proper steps just the fill needle never moves off the bottom and no air pressure seems to be building.

      If the rifle is completely empty, just cock the gun and leave it open. Should start filling then until complete. If your just topping off the tank you won't have to cock it you can just top off. Hope this helps.

    Hey Rick I have something to ask if may ! Everyone tells me to open the bleed valve slowly on my compressor when I'm done filling a gun ! If I do it slowly on one of my guns it bleeds all the air out of the gun ! But if I do it faster all is good is that normal ??

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  Год назад +2

      Do what works for each gun. If going slow drains the valve then go faster. Some check valves don’t seal quickly so you have to go fast with it.

    I don't know a lot about PCP air rifles but I'm trying to learn can you not use a regular small air compressor to fill a PCP air rifle ?

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  Год назад +2

      Hey there.. no you can't use a standard compressor. They normally top out at about 150 PSI. Your guns will need 2000 on the lowest end and 4500 on the high end. These little compressors are really great if you like to shoot.
      Cheers

    So, if you have time and a small bottle, why can't this fill it running in like 10 min sessions? I would think a few times and your bottle is full. Might take several hours but it would fill a bottle right?

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  Год назад

      No. You’ll burn it up. Even if you run it a 10 minute increments, you are running at redline for every 10 minute interval. It’s not meant for that.
