Atlantis The Lost Empire definitely has the highest on screen body count of any Disney film, & it is also 1 of the most underrated films (along with Treasure Planet).
I recommend watching the second movie. It’s lower in quality but only because it is a fusion of three episodes of an unfinished series that was planned. Not sure why they cancelled the series, what we got was enjoyable and I would’ve liked to see more, but the characters had a slight shift in personality probably due to time constraints. Hopefully the minor issues don’t ruin your perspective of the movie if you watch it.

This is my new all-time favorite animated Disney film because it has fewer songs and more explosions. In my opinion, the real reason why it failed at the box office was because of competition with Shrek (2001), at a time when audiences started craving computer animation.
It was more because of Disney lack of adverting for this film, but if they showed in another weekend than it would have made more money, and be remembered well.
It flopped cuz it was trying to expose the truth, and they wanted to distract us with a more bullshit which is why shrek did so good, it wasn’t a coincidence trust me
The underwater creature literally destroyed 75% of their army+. And yet they still had enough firepower to literally hold a whole civilization at gunpoint. Makes you wonder if just taking a precious item was rly the villains motive entirely

The facts I have: This was Disney's first foray into an animated action adventure film, Tne directors Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise previously directed Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback of Notre Dame, The voice of Vinny- Don Novello would read through his dialogue the way it was written the first time and then they would allow him to improvise his words and that is what is in the film, Jim Varney who voiced Cookie died during production so some his dialogue near the end is done by a replacement he voiced Slinky Dog in the first two Toy Story films and also known for his Ernest films, The language of the Atlanteans was created specifically created for the film and made by the same man who created the Klingon language in Star Trek, Legendary actor James Garner only agreed to play the villain Rourke when the people working on the film told him it would be like his older military roles, Michael J. Fox improvised the line “Carrots why is it always carrots”, The filmmakers felt a cinemascope widescreen aspect ratio would be perfect for the film as a throwback to old fashion adventure films, The artistic look of the film was inspired by Mike Mignola who is the comic book artist behind hellboy and was actually one of the four production designers for the film, While this last one isn’t a fact about the film it is a fact about me. I love Kida Nedakh and have a pretty good size collection of Atlantis items either of toys, pins or other items featuring her or are of her. I have 25 items so far and there is quite a few I have my eyes out for, The full pronunciation of her name is (key-Duh, Knee-dach), She is my favorite unofficial and overall favorite Disney Princess of all time! So even though Joss Whedon has a story credit Don Hawn and the others involved with the production said all he did was one time pitch an idea like it to the studio and so they listed him credited mainly to avoid a lawsuit, The last thing is a big one and explains the pacing problem of the film. See in 2000 Disney released a film called Dinosaur and it wasn't as big a hit as they were hoping for so they slashed the budget for this film and the original screenplay was 155 pages and so the original version of the film would have been that long one page equals one minute of film so with the cuts they had to drop: The entire second act, Cut down the final battle whixh would have been much bigger, And Cut the reveal that the Crystal was of Alien origin discovered by Atlanteans a millena ago, That's not all though see they also had plans to do a tv series, but since the film wasn't a hit (gee I wonder why) the studio also dropped the planned tv series so that which was done as abandoned episodes were compiled into Atlantis Milo's Return a direct to video release. The real kicker is the series would have had a crossover with Gargoyles! Freakin Gargoyles. All of this makes me hate the film Dinosaur even more than I already did,
Okay, I knew that there was a planned tv series for Atlantis but I never knew they planned to have it crossover with Gargoyles. Also, didn't know that it was because of Dinosaur that Atlantis bombed.
When I watched it for the first time a couple months ago, I was blown away by how good this movie is. I really wish the sequel was half as good, because that movie reeks. Atlantis: The Lost Empire is just, magical, and became one of my favourite Disney movies, and my third Favourite Experimental Era movie. Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale ended up leaving on a quality high note.
I love this movie for a lot or reasons but the ones I like the most is 1. It’s truly one of Disneys underrated masterpieces 2. The Animation and CGI and the art style mixed together is brilliant and 3. The cast in this movie is top tier and 4. I love the adventure music gets me hyped all the time. Honestly it’s an amazing movie with a lot of great plots and characters and I’m glad you guys reacted to it and can’t wait for next Tim 😊😁😄😉❤️❤️❤️
Fun fact: James Newton Howard who compose the score in this film chose an Indonesian orchestral sound of Gamelan incorporating chimes, bells and gongs after Howard decided to have a different musical theme for the culture of the surface world and Atlantis
Fun fact: the voice actor who plays the explosives expert (can't remember his name sorry.) Only spoke one or two lines from the script per take and improv'd the rest.
The fish behind Whitmore when he's talking to Milo in the beginning are Coelacanths! They were thought to be extinct for 66 million years but that was proven untrue in 1938! The movie takes place in 1914 showing that Whitmore (despite his eccentricities) is a brilliant explorer and is good at finding what many thought were lost!
I was absolutely in love with this movie when it came out in theaters and was begging my dad for us to go see it every Friday night. It's still an all time favorite.
The only super technology Plato (our original source for Atlantis) talked about was their having sailing ships and horse chariots thousands of years ahead of everyone else. Likely farming, too.
When both Milo and Kida, saw that beautiful gorgeous view. I was getting the Breath Of The Wild and Tears Of The Kingdom vibes! Love the atmosphere: it was breathtaking 😍🤩😎
Facts: The language of atlants was created by Marc Okrand (creator of the Klingon language in the Star Trek). The visuals were created by Mike Mignola (the creator of Hellboy).
one of the best things Disney has done but unfortunately it wasnt accepted back in the day cause of the formula people were used to, this tried to change the game but people just werent open to it, luckily its getting more and more recognition it deserves, brilliant adventure film, not afraid to be more mature with its approach, beautiful visually :) also Kida best princess :D
Jim Varney passed away on February 12, 2000, at age 50 due to lung cancer from smoking, before the production ended, and the film was dedicated to his memory. Producer Don Hahn was saddened that Varney never saw the finished film, but mentioned that he was shown clips of his character's performance during his site sessions and said, "He loved it." Shawn Keller, supervising animator for Cookie, stated, "It was kind of a sad fact that he knew that he was not going to be able to see this film before he passed away. He did a bang-up job doing the voice work, knowing the fact that he was never gonna see his last performance.
Fun fact! What he drank may have actually been Nitro as it lowers blood pressure and is used as a heart medication, he would have gotten extremely light headed and passed out before being given medical attention. It needs a bit more than a little scare to set it off, something more along the lines of a direct shock.
Love this film just as much as Treasure Planet! Though, I like that Jim is more relatable. There’s a scene in the film after Milo gets on the ship. He gets sick and says something about hating carrots. Michael J Fox improved that line as he is actually allergic to carrots. This film has a lot of interesting facts. Always wanted to see this movie and treasure planet included in Kingdom Hearts, but alas; Disney doesn’t really acknowledge these films developed popularity.
I read somewhere that the line, "the heart of Atlantis lies in the eye of her king," means, yes, literally right in front of his eyes in his chambers, but also for the apple of his eye (children, wife) who would be used as power sources in case of disasters
If I’m not mistaken a funny fun fact is that when Milo got sick and thought that it was carrots it was ad lib by Michael J Fox since he is also disgusted by carrots. This is one of my favorite movies with a lot of good action. Love the reactions!!
3:19 You might also know Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly from "Back to the Future"! Sadly, he has Parkinson's now, but he still appears at Comic Cons from time to time. Someone pointed out on Tumblr that the fish in Whitmore's aquarium (5:58) are coelacanths! The movie is set in the 1910s, but the coelacanth wouldn't be discovered until 1938, nearly a full decade later! The gag at 7:06 is a reference to the fact that Michael J. Fox is allergic to carrots! Cree Summer, a voice actress from my childhood (you may know her from Kids Next Door as Numbuh 5, who, coincidentally enough, also has a sister named Cree), voices Kida, and she has expressed profusely for Kida to be included in the Disney Princess pantheon. I kinda share the sentiment there, but being a part of an underrated Disney flick is good enough for me. This was also the final film role that Jim Varney (Slinky, and he also plays Cookie here) ever did, passing away before the release of this film and Toy Story 2 being widely available on VHS. Leonard Nimoy (a.k.a. Captain Spock) also voiced Kida's dad, and he passed away in 2015 And yes, my favorite character was Doc Sweet, I had a Native American great-grandma myself!
What I love about this movie, is that it breaks the stereotype of Atlantis being an undersea kingdom, like how it is depicted in DC and in Marvel comics. Here, it follows the source material, -circular layout -the “heart of Atlantis” -being advanced society before sinking.
I think my favorite thing about this movie is how Atlantis isn't depicted as a Greco-Roman society. While the original story did come from Greece, Plato described Atlantis as being much further west. West of Egypt, at least. Though I don't remember the exact description.
This whole movie is a passion project just like Treasure Planet was. It deserves ALL the praise it can get. You also have to love how the team took the time to create an entire language
For a side note, I remember playing with my cousin a tie-in PC game to the movie, called Search for the Journal, which serves as a prequel to the film. A first-person shooter, it covers the search Milo's grandfather, Thaddeus Thatch, took to Iceland to find the sacred book given to Milo.
first of all, he said 800 years, not 8000 , technically speaking when not necessarilly explaining more furtherly, though we can assume that both physically have the same age or something when it comes to a mythical city that became unsealed thanks to milo and the explorers, at least theoretically speaking besides of the health crystals second of all, Moliere most likely said something pervert like sleeping with me or something which that offended Kida enough to perfectly punch him third of all, we can technically consider Helga missing because if you recall, the ground she fell was the same that Audrey confimed that it was soft ground and not that far that she fell, so we can consider that she possibly survived but with an unknown fate afterwards I still insist to check out the other hidden gem Capture the Flag, hopefully you trust me
Apparently a lot of people were disappointed by the sequel. But I personally love it, and would LOVE a reaction. If nothing else, please put it in a poll or two for future ones. It's essentially 3 Atlantis movies in 1.
correction, it's the first 3 episodes of the followup tv series that got cancelled midway thru production, which is why the animation is so much worse they were working with a tv budget
@@gmh3 Sir. I was 12 when I had the DVD. And even now, I don't care about the animation. From that day, to now (I'm about to turn 28.) To quote Stoick: "You're as beautiful as the day I lost you."
21:35 this estimate is 2700 years shy. Atlantis sank, according to Plato, in 9600 BCE. This corresponds with the end of the Younger Dryas period, when the ocean level rose almost 400 feet, inundating low-lying lands-like Atlantis. This puts Kida’s age in 1914 as at least 11,500 years old, not 8800.
This and Treasure Planet are my top favs of the underappreciated Disney movies. Both films got poor marketing so didn't do well as a result in theaters. Which is tragic because they're both very good movies that hold up as far as CGI use in it. Atlantis though at least got a "sequel" but it's not really a sequel. It's a compilation of "episodes" for a TV series that ended up never seeing the light of day. They did the same thing with Tarzan's sequel. But Tarzan actually did end up with a TV series being made.
Packard is the most "I don't give a f*ck" woman in this movie. Ship sinking and about to explode? Lemme give my friend some relationship advice real quick.
This is honestly one of my favorite Disney films of all time because it does something very different compare to a majority of Disney films do. They're not bad, but sometimes they feel a bit similar with musical numbers and princes and princesses. Here there's action, some mystery around an ancient civilization, the comedy is some of the funniest next to Emperor's New Groove, and the animation and score are just incredible. It's a shame that it didn't performed well when it first came out, but I'm glad there's a cult following as I grew up with this movie.
This movie really grew on me when I saw it the first time, didn't like it much as a kid, getting to my teen years and even now this is one of my favorite Disney movies
25:49 I was really surprised to see Milo's quirky friends suddenly just turn so cold and ruthless. Obeying orders from Rourke without a second thought (at least until Milo talked them out of it). Chilling.
@@a.g.demada5263also it was pointed out that they were his old team that worked together with him and Milo's grandpa. They had their share of adventures where guns were used... But as Demoman says the distinction was that they were graverobberies, tomb excavations and they used guns against their competition or bandits... But here Rourke asked them to cause a GENOCIDE on the whole city of a peaceful people. Of course they went along at first but when they started to see consequences of their actions starting to unfold - they refused to go through with it.
@@Ghostel3591 yes, you're right despite the fact Audrey wasn't on the old team. It's funny because in the french version, Enzo says " Well, some people suffered but not the dead ones "
I remember when my mom took me to see it in theaters when it first came out. I remember the hype I had when I saw a trailer for it. I remember trying to teach myself the Atlantean alphabet. I remember the Atlantis chocolate cereal. I absolutely ADORED THIS MOVIE AND STILL DO!
Fun fact, the guy who made the Klingon language from Star Trek also made the Atlantean language. This movie is probably the greatest Disney movie of the early 2000s other than Treasure Planet
There's actually some very interesting history behind the particular studio that made this movie. This, and several other movies came from the Florida studio, which for a long time was a backup animation studio that did work the main Burbank studio didn't have time for. Then in 1996 Disney decided to focus all their energy on transitioning to 3D animation, acquired Pixar and started working on A Bug's Life. They basically told the Florida studio (their only remaining full-time 2D animation studio) they could do whatever movies they wanted. And the Florida studio, for the first time, got to produce feature films: • Mulan (1998) • Tarzan (1999) •John Henry (2000) • The Emperor's New Groove (2000) • Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) • Lilo & Stitch (2002) • Brother Bear (2003) Then in 2004 Disney decided to stop producing 2-D feature films altogether, closed down the Florida studio and laid off all the animators. Many of whom then got hired by Dreamworks.
As huge scifi nerd, this hits like tons of brciks personally. Its so good film, one the most impressive hand drawn animation Ive ever seen in Disney film... But also having Scifi Icons Michael J. Fox (Back to the Future), Leonard Nimoy (Spock from Star Trek) and Claudia Christian (Ivanova from Babylon 5) this film with Treasure Planet should get more recognition.
22:04 LOL, that reminds me of when Paul Barbato's mom told him he speaks Korean like a toddler (or, as Barbs himself put it, "a 5-year-old that got electrocuted in the brain").
Umm this underrated treasure! the attention to detail, the casting, the plot, the diversity... My favorite Disney movie. Still got the video tape, DVD, and now blu-ray. Idc what format I'll get it 💅🏽✨
The sequel is worth the watch. It may not be good for reacting to, because it's basically 3 episodes of a tv show instead of a movie, and the artist is different, so the feel isn't quite the same, but it gives some closure for Milo and Kida.
10/10 Sweet! This movie was great! It was an excellent rendition of an ancient myth. The animation was somewhat odd, but nothing new from Disney. It was definitely better than expected for a Disney movie with no singing. The background animation was magical. It was a different level of work for the Disney people. Some of the characters were a little boxy, but it was more than made up for with the beauty and lushness of the scenery. The music was largely instrumental but that was perfect for the movie. This was definitely not a film that needed the characters to bust into song. Perfect. 10 out of 10. P.s - This movie has more body counts than ever and that's scary

I'm so GLAD you watched this lost gem, no pun intended. It's too damn good and so unfairly forgotten
Makes you wonder if just taking a precious item was rly the villains motive entirely
what you mean?
RIP jim varney who did the voice of jebidiah allardy 'cookie(1949-2000) and RIP florence stanley who did the voice of wilhelmina packard(1924-2003)😢😢 and i love atlantis the lost empire👦👓👩🏼🔱👩🏿 🦲👨🏻👧🏻👦🏼🧑🥽🌊❤😊❤ it's one the most underrated disney animated of all time and it's an Amazing/awesome disney animated movie and fun fact: micheal j fox from the back to the future trilogy did the voice of milo and maybe it wil be cool to have a live action disney version of atlantis: the lost empire and tim maybe do a collab movie reaction to wreck it Ralph Ralph breaks the internet brother bear home on the range the good dinosaur finding nemo finding dory the cars movies the croods the croods 2 thr adventures of tintin the rescuers the rescuers down under Pocahontas the rest of the shrek movies the iron giant alice in wonderland cinderella dumbo snowwhite and the seven dwarfs dumbo and a bug's life please🎥🎬❤😊👍 and tim have a nice day✌😎☀️🤙
Don't forget Lenard Nimoy, the voice of Kida's father!
Please don't remake more movies. They aren't good remakes.
Jim Varney was also Slinky Dog from Toy Story, well the first two movies that is,
@nicktechnubyte1184 He Was In Star Trek, The Simpsons, and Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon
I’ve rewatched this on Disney plus twice and I had no idea that Michael J Fox voiced Milo
The facts I have:
This was Disney's first foray into an animated action adventure film,
Tne directors Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise previously directed Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback of Notre Dame,
The voice of Vinny- Don Novello would read through his dialogue the way it was written the first time and then they would allow him to improvise his words and that is what is in the film,
Jim Varney who voiced Cookie died during production so some his dialogue near the end is done by a replacement he voiced Slinky Dog in the first two Toy Story films and also known for his Ernest films,
The language of the Atlanteans was created specifically created for the film and made by the same man who created the Klingon language in Star Trek,
Legendary actor James Garner only agreed to play the villain Rourke when the people working on the film told him it would be like his older military roles,
Michael J. Fox improvised the line “Carrots why is it always carrots”,
The filmmakers felt a cinemascope widescreen aspect ratio would be perfect for the film as a throwback to old fashion adventure films,
The artistic look of the film was inspired by Mike Mignola who is the comic book artist behind hellboy and was actually one of the four production designers for the film,
While this last one isn’t a fact about the film it is a fact about me. I love Kida Nedakh and have a pretty good size collection of Atlantis items either of toys, pins or other items featuring her or are of her. I have 25 items so far and there is quite a few I have my eyes out for,
The full pronunciation of her name is (key-Duh, Knee-dach),
She is my favorite unofficial and overall favorite Disney Princess of all time!
So even though Joss Whedon has a story credit Don Hawn and the others involved with the production said all he did was one time pitch an idea like it to the studio and so they listed him credited mainly to avoid a lawsuit,
The last thing is a big one and explains the pacing problem of the film. See in 2000 Disney released a film called Dinosaur and it wasn't as big a hit as they were hoping for so they slashed the budget for this film and the original screenplay was 155 pages and so the original version of the film would have been that long one page equals one minute of film so with the cuts they had to drop:
The entire second act,
Cut down the final battle whixh would have been much bigger,
And Cut the reveal that the Crystal was of Alien origin discovered by Atlanteans a millena ago,
That's not all though see they also had plans to do a tv series, but since the film wasn't a hit (gee I wonder why) the studio also dropped the planned tv series so that which was done as abandoned episodes were compiled into Atlantis Milo's Return a direct to video release.
This reaction took me back over 20 years ago when I was a kid. Very refreshing to watch it again after so long. I'm glad you guys liked this movie
A florist that becomes a pyromaniac. What a backstory.
I liked how they simply hugged instead of the standard know each for one day and immediately kissing.
One of my favorite Disney movies ❤
The fish behind Whitmore when he's talking to Milo in the beginning are Coelacanths! They were thought to be extinct for 66 million years but that was proven untrue in 1938! The movie takes place in 1914 showing that Whitmore (despite his eccentricities) is a brilliant explorer and is good at finding what many thought were lost!
One of the best movies and one of my favorites! I love every character in this movie, even the bad guys.
I'm so happy to see coelacanths in the background earlier on. I love coelacanths!
I love that Leanard Nimoy did the voice of the King, such a legend💯💯💯
This film deserved better, honestly. For a post-renaissance Disney film, Atlantis is very good.
When both Milo and Kida, saw that beautiful gorgeous view. I was getting the Breath Of The Wild and Tears Of The Kingdom vibes! Love the atmosphere: it was breathtaking 😍🤩😎
Facts:
The language of atlants was created by Marc Okrand (creator of the Klingon language in the Star Trek).
Kida also beat Elsa to being a Princess who became a queen by a fair few years.
This is the one Disney movie that deserves a live-action remake
He Also Played Slinky Dog From Toy Story and Toy Story 2
@@Kovy2003 And Ernest P. Worrell
@StephenLuke Oh Yes I Forgot He Played Ernest
@@Kovy2003 His acting career will never be forgotten. 😢💔
Fun fact! What he drank may have actually been Nitro as it lowers blood pressure and is used as a heart medication, he would have gotten extremely light headed and passed out before being given medical attention. It needs a bit more than a little scare to set it off, something more along the lines of a direct shock.
I always get goosebumps when the King explains the Crystal to Milo.
One of the best Disney movies. Really funny and original. I enjoy all characters and the action is spectacular for a movie of 2000's.
Congratulation to reacting to one of my favorite Disney movie growing up, when ever it’s on Disney XD, I immediately watch it from beginning to end.
Milo: What's Mole's story?
Sweet: Trust me, you don't wanna know
Me: I kinda do though
“All I can say is, ‘it’s about time!’”
😎
I read somewhere that the line, "the heart of Atlantis lies in the eye of her king," means, yes, literally right in front of his eyes in his chambers, but also for the apple of his eye (children, wife) who would be used as power sources in case of disasters
If I’m not mistaken a funny fun fact is that when Milo got sick and thought that it was carrots it was ad lib by Michael J Fox since he is also disgusted by carrots. This is one of my favorite movies with a lot of good action. Love the reactions!!
The king was voiced by Leonard Nemoy.
Captain Spock) also voiced Kida's dad, and he passed away in 2015
And yes, my favorite character was Doc Sweet, I had a Native American great-grandma myself!
What I love about this movie, is that it breaks the stereotype of Atlantis being an undersea kingdom, like how it is depicted in DC and in Marvel comics. Here, it follows the source material,
-circular layout
-the “heart of Atlantis”
-being advanced society before sinking.
I think my favorite thing about this movie is how Atlantis isn't depicted as a Greco-Roman society. While the original story did come from Greece, Plato described Atlantis as being much further west. West of Egypt, at least. Though I don't remember the exact description.
You know someone is the villian when they have good bone structure.
This whole movie is a passion project just like Treasure Planet was. It deserves ALL the praise it can get. You also have to love how the team took the time to create an entire language
If you slow it down to 0.25 when the commander is asking if Milo can drive a truck and he sounds drunk when he answers.
It's like Cameron filmed «20,000 Leagues Under the Sea».
For a side note, I remember playing with my cousin a tie-in PC game to the movie, called Search for the Journal, which serves as a prequel to the film. A first-person shooter, it covers the search Milo's grandfather, Thaddeus Thatch, took to Iceland to find the sacred book given to Milo.
first of all, he said 800 years, not 8000 , technically speaking when not necessarilly explaining more furtherly, though we can assume that both physically have the same age or something when it comes to a mythical city that became unsealed thanks to milo and the explorers, at least theoretically speaking besides of the health crystals
second of all, Moliere most likely said something pervert like sleeping with me or something which that offended Kida enough to perfectly punch him
third of all, we can technically consider Helga missing because if you recall, the ground she fell was the same that Audrey confimed that it was soft ground and not that far that she fell, so we can consider that she possibly survived but with an unknown fate afterwards
I still insist to check out the other hidden gem Capture the Flag, hopefully you trust me
Apparently a lot of people were disappointed by the sequel.
I still vaguely remember seeing Atlantis: The Lost Empire in theaters.
The Greek philosopher Plato, spoke of Atlantis and Hyperborea two advance civilization during the antediluvian era, the time before the great flood.
Also, I was convinced that this movie was based on a true story. I am still convinced that is based on a true story to this day .
grew up watching it and love it
Packard is the most "I don't give a f*ck" woman in this movie. Ship sinking and about to explode? Lemme give my friend some relationship advice real quick.
The moment she's on the phone, with Helga shouting at her, is much funnier in the french version
"you do swim pretty good?
Milo: I swim pretty girl...... pretty well!!
she def like that, smooth man Milo :D
Yo keep up the good work btw love your channel tim
Thanks Rosa!
This movie really grew on me when I saw it the first time, didn't like it much as a kid, getting to my teen years and even now this is one of my favorite Disney movies
When I was younger, I believe that this movie is the one that sparked my love for history.
Kida: You do swim, do you not?
Milo: Oh, I swim pretty girl. Pr-pretty good! Pretty good.
Best part of the movie
My favorite Disney movie as a kid! The toys were awesome as you could build multiple vehicles with the parts
25:49
I was really surprised to see Milo's quirky friends suddenly just turn so cold and ruthless. Obeying orders from Rourke without a second thought (at least until Milo talked them out of it). Chilling.
Well, Rourke is very charismatic so I guess he used some convincing arguments
Omgomgomgomg it's happening EVERYBODY STAY CALM
I remember when my mom took me to see it in theaters when it first came out. I remember the hype I had when I saw a trailer for it. I remember trying to teach myself the Atlantean alphabet. I remember the Atlantis chocolate cereal. I absolutely ADORED THIS MOVIE AND STILL DO!
Also the King of Atlantis is voiced by non other than the original Spock himself, Leonard Neemoy!!
Disney greenlits a live-action remake of MOANA
But ATLANTIS is the one that deserves a live-action the most
Tarzan deserves a remake too! I’d love to hear Phil Collins’ songs again.
at this point the past should be left alone, alot of people are pretty much getting sick of live action remakes and it honestly doesn't seem to work
An underrated masterpiece!
And the Florida studio, for the first time, got to produce feature films:
• Mulan (1998)
• Tarzan (1999)
•John Henry (2000)
• The Emperor's New Groove (2000)
• Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001)
• Lilo & Stitch (2002)
• Brother Bear (2003)
Then in 2004 Disney decided to stop producing 2-D feature films altogether, closed down the Florida studio and laid off all the animators.
"hard to believe hes still single" haha its 100 years later, and its not so hard to believe anymore
22:04 LOL, that reminds me of when Paul Barbato's mom told him he speaks Korean like a toddler (or, as Barbs himself put it, "a 5-year-old that got electrocuted in the brain").
I first saw this on VHS and Loved it immediately
I loved this as a kid and I love it now!
Umm this underrated treasure! the attention to detail, the casting, the plot, the diversity... My favorite Disney movie. Still got the video tape, DVD, and now blu-ray. Idc what format I'll get it 💅🏽✨
Gotta love the modern prejudice here. 23:00
The sequel is worth the watch. It may not be good for reacting to, because it's basically 3 episodes of a tv show instead of a movie, and the artist is different, so the feel isn't quite the same, but it gives some closure for Milo and Kida.
Really underrated movie, can’t wait for the sequel
I really love the style of this movie. Very beautiful and cool for a disney movie.
Atlantis: the lost empire is was & always shall be my gnarnia, my toontown, my Disneyland! Good job timothee & malbread! ❤️
Gnarnia was such an epic movie!
The character design on this movie is an all time peak for me.
The dialogue from 15:00 - 15:59
Me:...well I really want to know now!!! TELL ME Mole's origin story!!!😂😂😂
10/10
Sweet!
