So, I left it on the back burner until I found this video. Not only did you save me $150, you gave me something to do while I recover from a 3-week hospital stay. A friend bought Spider-Man Miles Morales as a Christmas gift some time ago, and when I wanted to play it, my PS4 was out of commission. Here's to sore thumbs making up for lost time! Thank you!

Update system software with internet should of worked, if it didnt just rebuild database as thats what it should of done in the process anyway when choosing the option but dont worry it doesnt get rid of anything, if it doesnt work then there might be something wrong internally

If nothing in the video worked it might be best to look into what might be causing it first, if you think its the disc tray rollers look into it online
Am having this issue, bought a plus on the 1st of this month, put it in to play GTA online, and the game just take the CD then reject it and never took back. Until I switched off the system, put the disc at the front automatic starting the game, it takes the CD then rejects it again.

It didn’t work for me but you can keep the disk by changing the angles every time at a point it will insert hope it will be helpful

When you go into safe mdoe you can either choose to update your system with WiFi or you cam rebuild database none deletes data

If you try to just press the rebuild option in theory it should work the same

Mine does that too you just have to force it in multiple times then eject if it doesn't accept it until it goes in. Or at least that's what I do.
Forcing a disc in can end up making it worse at some point so I don't recommend it

Your disk drive will be damaged, the way I showed just gets rid of bugs that the PS4 might have
