And I’ve also found running it over with a very large tank helps. Specifically the panzerkampfwagen v, works like a charm. Then again you could just smash it on a furries head until the disc reveals itself.
Been using the screw to manually insert and eject discs on original PS4 for probably two years now. It's the only issue I've had with it since I bought it back in 2014 so I can't really complain.

Most of the time when I want to fix a certain problem with my ps4 there are tutorials where they say what to do without actually showing how to do it or they show it but they usually don't bring the camera up close to show how they're fixing the problem and then all you see is the just there arm
I've always fixed this problem with a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Just slide the q-tip across the slot until you hear the rollers engage. Keep it there a few seconds to clean the rollers, wait a couple minutes for it to dry and you're usually good to go!

Before that happened the damage was that it kept ejecting my disc for no reason or powering my console off, like if someone was pressing the buttons. Then sometimes touching the buttons wouldn't even start my PS4 or eject my disc. And after it broke entirely down. I had my Overwatch PS4 game stuck. I thought I lost it. I didn't wanted to let it go. Since I thought there was a way I could retrieve the game. A lot of time passed since then, and then I got this video in the recommendations. And it saved my Overwatch disc!! So I really appreciate this!
It WORKED!!! Turning the ps4 off, holding it vertical, turn on, press eject (IT WORKED, DISK CAME OUT!), turn off put it back horizontal. Accepts disk fine now. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This really worked! AWESOME! Thank you for your detailed instructions!
I've done that when my disk doesn't want too eject and usually works for me but I could be doing it wrong and like you said its at my own risk and thankfully it helps me fix it

My advice will be to press the stick. For few seconds and then roll the stick. Also connect the controller with the ps4 and reset the controller. It worked for me

Gotta have a disc version. Ordered ps5 in disc. Even though I had the problem in the vid. Got all those cool looking discs with artwork on them. Besides, it feels like you're actually getting something for your money .
If the disc is stuck inside just go on your ps4 hover over the game (dont start it up) click optoins then click the optoin that says remove disc and the disc should automatically come out *edit* this is only if the button is broken if the actual rotation thing that inserts and removes the disc is broken this wont work

The second time, it was a little metal string that is connected to the disk drive and it was out of place. You can search up videos on how to put it back if that's the case. But it could also be the rollers if they get super dirty they might not be able to eject/insert disks.

You shouldn't change from horizontal to vertical or vice versa when the console is hot. As for turning it upside down, wait until it's totally cold. Unless you want your PS4 to look like this. For a more easier solution: First fully shutdown ur ps4 then wait for the white light to go off then plug out the ps4 then keep it plugged of for 25 then plug it in open it and eject. It always works for me

I actually knew that already. It's a troubleshoot in a gadget that is located inside the disk, nothing really important but can cause problems..

Also if your comfortable with taking your ps4 apart the rollers inside the disc drive can pop out, all you have to do is pop them back in.
My disc got stuck and I got it out but now it won’t take one back in
