What I see is a truck that the original owner was so disgusted with they traded it in at a steep loss. As evidenced by the Carfax showing multiple service visits in one year and 7500miles. The 5th wheel hitch being left in it tells me they switched brands and that hitch would not work in the Ford or GM that replaced it! Suddenly this truck no longer seems like a good deal!
Kills me when people mention MSRP lowering, they are still $20,000 over a new Limited should be $75,000, they are still building in Mexico wages are lot lower then the here in states
Not to mention reliability hasn't improved one bit. Still not purchasing anytime soon.
Don’t forget the Shitlantis CEO just made a 30 million dollar for last year.
You’re right. It tells you they have everyone trained to negotiate off the sticker or even worse to accept “adjusted market value” markups. It wasn’t that long ago you were considered pretty dumb to negotiate off sticker than doing some research and finding the dealer invoice costs and paying 2-5% over that, especially on a special order. I think it’s time buyers made their own “adjusted market value” assessments and knocked $25-35K off the sticker as a starting point.
All you guys forget is that Ram trucks have 25% import duties on them, since they are not built in the states
@@smkhotshotsinc.1776 didn’t NAFTA get rid of all tariffs between the US, Mexico and Canada?
No pick up truck should cost $100k. $60k is too much.
I think it's ok for a luxury pickup to be 100k, but I think they should have basic trucks in the 40-50k range too. Hell why can't we choose the 10k Toyota that is not sold in the USA. The free market has been shackled with over regulation.
I have a '23 but bought at 20% off msrp, no dealer fees... buy right, and you'll have no regrets.
Being a retired diesel mechanic I’d choose the in line six over V-8 diesel any day. The in line six gives you an extra main bearing which is huge in decreasing the stress.
The thought of the previous owner possibly moving over thousands of dollars of negative equity from this vehicle to another vehicle, makes me to believe a lot of people are in that scenario with todays economy. Interesting times today. Great video thank you!
They put wheels on it inside of 7500 miles. Smart financial decisions went being made. Or someone just got money to blow but that's not often the case.
Way too many people spending money they don't have on luxury items they don't need.
Didn't the 22s have the most problems?
Yes they did
Yeah they had bad batch of engines
I have a 17 loaded Limited dually with 50k miles, I wouldn't do an even trade on a loaded limited 2022 model.
My 22 Limited had a ton of issues, but nothing with the engine.
@@fivesfilms - I say that because there is a guy on YT that has a hotshot business, he said every one of his 2022 Rams blown the engine close to or just over 100k miles. He has earlier year models with 300k - 500k miles on them, no engine issues.
The HO limited night edition is a unicorn in the used sales market
I traded a 2022 3500 Ram Megacab Limited Cummins HO with the matching cap for a 2024 Denali Ultimate. The truck is now well below the trade value they gave me and is currently $17k below what they listed it at the time of the trade back at the end of January and still for sale. I had the extra rear step, dual alternators, Sun Roof, chrome package etc… added when I built it, its loaded with 18k miles and like the one you are looking at not a scratch on it, and they cannot move it. Last list was at $71k. They are still moving the GM’s. I think the recall and Cummins failure issues on the 2022’s are hurting RAM.
Funny thing about the Exhaust brake, once you do the weight loss program plus a nice tune up, she actually gets way better on the exhaust brake
😂😂😂 Love the weight loss program, I’m gonna make a video out of this 🤝🏾
The exhaust brake on the manual transmission rams 2018 and prior are ridiculously strong, enough to skid stock tires on concrete
My neighbor just dumped his 2024 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton and lost an equal amount of money. He hated the truck, the Duramax Diesel, and the problems that went along with the truck. He bought a brand new 2023 RAM 3/4 Ton Cummins, I believe it is a Laramie Limited in a deep Red paint color with a tu-tone Brown interior. The truck is gorgeous! If you have the money and don't mind taking the loss, more power to you. He lost a ton of money on an Electric Audi as well.
When i was in the market at the beginning of the year, there were a ton of dealerships with brand new 2022's on the lot, and they were still trying to sell them for msrp. I got a 2024 longhorn for 22k off msrp
I had a 2019 Ram DRW limited mega cab. Best truck ever! I used it to pull our 16,500 pound 5er. Never an issue. Sold the 5er as we bought our winter home in Florida. Did a trade in deal with the local Ram dealer, got a brand new 1500 Ram Laramie, 15,000 in cash and no taxes on the new truck. I came out with getting a 80,000 dollar deal on the trade in deal. I paid 87,000 for my Dually in 2019. I put 29,000 miles on it while I had it. That was a great deal…
Damn dude you all over the place with that bibble babble” you lost me somewhere towards the middle. Possibly because of periods, commas and exclamation points out in the wrong places, just run on Bibbling” 😂
I found $20 on the sidewalk once.... beat that!
@@uploderpilot
I found $10k in a paper sack behind a car tire in a parking lot !
True story no bs.
@@marionburchett6873 You got me hahaha
Bought a 23 Tradesman with some tech upgrades in August ‘23. Sold it last month for a thousand or so less than what I owed. It has 11k miles on it and was in perfect condition. The dealer that bought it is unable to sell it… he is going to take a $5k loss just to get out of it. It’s a shame… it’s a nice truck! Wonder if I should buy it back…. 🤔
I have 2020 Limited Ram 3500 SRW Mega Cab HO Loaded no sunroof, w/air suspension, pre pandemic delivered 01/02/20. Sticker $89,980 paid $76.600, 93,000 miles now, having issues with regen to frequent in town, and they are working on it . Other than that best truck I have owned . I pull many different trailers mainly bumper pull so heavy tongue weights and the air ride I love. We don't know what he paid for this truck,if he paid full price he has money to burn ,I don't and I would not pay that price for it used unless there giving me 65000 for mine. I usually get a new truck every 2 years maybe 3 years but because of prices jumping I'm keep this one.I have had a 18,15,12,and a 10. And I will buy another Ram if I buy one.
Every mfg's vehicles are getting hit hard, has nothing to with "just" Ram. Sold my RAM 1500 2013 5.7L work truck roughly 3 months ago for $20k, today that vehicle is worth $16k . Bought a brand new 2024 Ram 5.7L 4x4 to replace it - MSRP $62k paid $50k, and that new vehicle is worth $46 - $48k today, so yeah things are crazy. NO complaints. SO glad I passed on the new Toyota Tundra trucks, what garbage (turbos w/a V6 ugh) - all those recalls for engine issues. Today, saw a new Titan 4x4 loaded (leather and ever gadget) advertised for $51k.... a base model Titan V8 $42k. If you really have to buy (like I did), take a hard look at the Nissan Titans, they are highly discounted. Cheers and happy hunting!
Titans are going away as soon as they run out of parts or orders whatever comes first is what I heard.
@@pauldiesel4582 Nope, the base warranty is 60mos. Just buy an extended warranty. That's a legal obligation, unless they go out of business. You've still saved $30K over any Toyota).
Your old ram depreciated massively so your remedy was to buy a new one? Good grief Charlie Brown.
The Tradesman package is a great package on these Rams. Especially when you gain a few thousand pounds in payload.
A person told me this you pick your poison between Ford, Chevrolet, and Ram!! Diesel trucks
I picked up a 2018 ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn rodeo edition 😅
I wouldn’t buy a 22 from any of the big 3.
The previous owner proably realized he was only getting 6-9 mpg when towing heavy. Those Nexxus tires are crap. My 16 3500 Laramie Longhorn had 3 of the 6 tires separate while I was on I-10 between Vanhorn, TX and Junction, TX. Leaving me to limp all the way to Corpus Christy.
I have a 2022 ram limited. The interior holds up really nicely. It has 21.5k miles on it now. I purchased it May of last year with 3.5k miles. You can find deals you just have to look. I think I bought the truck for 61k when the original owner was trapped in it for around 75k. I just had to leave my local area to driver a few hours. The best part is.. if you can find one of these gems guys a lot of them are CPO meaning the powertrain is extended to 100k with 5 years. I wouldn’t buy a ram newer than a 2022. There is another RUclipsr who put nearly 300k miles on his 2019 limited. He hasn’t had that many issues.
Paul, yeah, he puts them thru their paces!
Nice truck. I would want the locking rear differential. The only option i did not see. My Ram 2500 has 4:10 gears with the locking rear differential and it is a great feature when pulling trailers on dirt gravel roads.
If you're referring to the LSD It's not listed on the window sticker because it's standard on the 3500.
Id stay away from 22s, they are the worse 5th gens to get. Maybe you will get a good one but 22 had major issues compared to 19, 20, 21, 23, 24s.
I’ve got one in 2500. Had a ton (6) recalls - took care of all of them - but had zero issues otherwise. Been a good, powerful hauler for me
My trucks at 2022 and after the recalls, I haven’t had one issue with it. It runs like a rape tape and it’s a towing machine monster.
@@carltuckerson7718 glad it is treating you well. My 22 was so bad I went backwards to my 19 and it’s been so much better. I chalked it up to Covid

Get a pedal monster from banks & they also have a patent on cold air kit using their patened sensor to allow more air accepted by the computer if you want to wake up the torque in you Cummins ho
Cummings is the best diesel option. Fact: it’s what they use for the big rig engines. 😉
The engine break is the best !
I think you did a great job with this review. 💯
I don't like Black Wheels. I don't mind the black-out package, but I want either polished Aluminum or Chrome Wheels.
I should drive out there and trade! This is a great spec!
Pre-pandemic it was normal for domestic trucks to be 50% MSRP after 3 years. Sooner or later this will come back.
Just Plain crazy! No way would I purchase any car/truck today.
I bought the RAM mudflaps, they are an oem option.
Anyone paying 80-100k for a truck is a fool and these companies know it. If only people would learn to let them sit and understand they don't need a new truck every two years, these companies would start feeling the pain when the quickly realize they have zero sales month after month. Let them feel the lay offs like others are right now, let them feel the pain. These greedy CEO's are part of the problem with their ten figure salaries.
Bought it auction probably means this was maybe a repo not somebody going to a class a, also probably why the fifth wheel hitch is still on it. Also 54 hours at idle out of 189. I’m not buying that This was personal. This person was probably running a transport business (required mud flaps), on the side hence all the idle time. And with the RV market collapsing, probably lost the business again hence at auction. This thing was ridden hard, business failed and nice try to shill it for your buddy the Steeler dealer. How much did he pay you to shill this one? $78k, I wouldn’t touch that truck for that. I would value this at about 60 K tops stop shilling for these clowns.
I’d still take a 20 year old diesel for under $20k over the new ones. They are simple and to the point and don’t have all the electronic failures.
Then get rid of your gm JB and get the ram
Just an idea working part time with larry h miller and keep doing the videos. Definitely be easy for you to sell trucks.
These trucks only worth what you are willing to pay . In my opinion they are worth no more than 50 thousand new . Trucks and Suvs are over priced . As a business owner these trucks have to work 7 days a week to get your money's worth .
Owner got 74K and they are asking 78k? No way! I've seen dealers by cars for 4K and try to sell them for 11K. This guys probably got $65-$68K. It sounds like this JB works for the dealership.
No you can't go by Carfax it could have been in a wreck and not been reported I have seen vehicle totally mangle fix them up and say they got a clean title and a clean Carfax 😂😂
I'm more interested in getting a Limited Dually Mega cab Night Edition, with a short box that's murdered out
Great information !!
Anyone looking into a 22’ and up make sure you get an extended warranty and save about 20k when the cam rollers go out when your warranty expires. There’s a reason they are so cheap. Don’t listen to to this car sales man.
Waiting for the zf trans
NEVER BUY A PICKUP LOADED WITH OPTIONS... A TRADESMAN KEEPS ITS VALUE...
18 or earlier.
Meanwhile, pre-emissions Dodge Ram Cummins models are appreciating
Yea. I’ll bet you dollars to donuts Someone got tired of CELs…flashed it off…and left it there happy to have lost money. I wouldn’t drive it if you gave it to me. Literally.
79k is way too much for that truck! Should be 65-70 max
Truck has a check engine light on...
Wait 2 more years, maybe even 3 before buying a used Dually. The number of bad loans will have made Repos available everywhere by then.
I doubt the first owner paid anywhere near sticker.............
Even ram guys know that 22’s were bad news bears
You lost me at $26k in options....on a truck. I would rather ride a bicycle than get completely taken advantage of.
Did they fix the high pressure pump issue?
No
Still a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty
Oh, you can break dually tires loose…
I drive a ram limited dually 2022 night edition every option available I paid 106,000 but I’m only 24 my goal is to make sure this truck last me 3 generations for my future kids and if I decide to trade it imma pay cash and negotiate a better deal next time caused i could’ve pay way more less
You just financially screwed yourself for the rest of your 20s.
@@cooleyjay not really lol i already have a home i just have a few perks others dont got and a business pass down by my parents so if you can afford it i dont see a problem spending money but next time ill be smarter caused i couldve gotten a ram 2009 dually instead of a 2022 but screw myself lmaooooo bro i got three trucks wym this is just a life lesson for me.
Last 3 generations! 😂😂😂😂😂
The truck is out dated
Why would I pay more for a used truck? I could get a new one for less.
Just give it up stellantis 🙄
The Duke says, so much for the argument that the diesel boys always make to buy diesel over a gas. How many times have you heard, buy a diesel, it holds its value better. you'll get more money for your trade in. I call b*******. What did I teach you?
new mirrors are next level. I disagree
Seems like this truck may have been repo'd the owner may had fell on hard times financially
It's a ram the worst of the big 3, you can't expect much 🤷🏿♂️ the only good thing about it is made by an entirely different company.
Should be $50000 still too much money
I own one of these pieces of junk! Try getting replacement parts for the manufacturers defective parts! All they ever say is they are making a new upgraded part. After several years of hearing this from the dealer you just give up! No one will buy a ram 3500 duelly diesel with problem lights all over the dash even with less than twenty thousand miles on the truck! Let's face facts, stellantis is giving up on the USA and turning their back on their customers turned victims. Stay away from any and every stellantis built vehicle especially their EV junk, they won't support their customers!
Hi John! We hear your frustrations and would like to see what we can do. Please send our team a private message via Facebook or X so we can be of further assistance. ^HC
I’m struggling to trust a guy that calls slotted rims “holes in the wheels” hahaha
It's a limited it has it all. Give us the price already. Don't need to hear what it has
You can continue to schill for Ram, but if you truly believe in what you are spouting, I say trade your current truck for this Ram. Show us with your actions not words.
If this guy or girl bought another truck. Id say stay away from this troubled truck.
Truck market is going to implode! This is just the start. I'm already starting to see discounts on HD's from $5,000.00 to $7,000.00 below MSRP. Stellantis just recalled over 200,000 trucks and SUV's. The powers of the big three. Really screwed up. They should of just kept things simple and affordable. Focused on dependability.
I was about to rage, but after reading the comments, it's been covered.🫏
