Just bought a Glock 43X, and this video couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Now I can put an Olight PL mini onto my new Glock! Thanks Lenny!
Marth I plan on doing the same! But I did hear through the grapevine that the Olight PL mini doesn’t fit the rail I guess the rails don’t quite match up. The alternative was the Olight mini 2 . A bit smaller and fit perfect from what I saw. Just trying to save you the inconvenience!

OMG! Thank you! I was struggling to find a light for G26 and thought TLR 6 was the only option. Now I can get TLR 7 for both G19 and G26 for consistency.
What do you use as a holster for the 26 with the tlr7?
@@_NotmyShadow_ I ended up abandoning the idea of a laser and light and instead settled for green dot plus off hand tac light. That expanded my holster choices. I have Safariland GLS 575 and 578 because they fit all my glocks, HKs, etc.
For me consistency and uniformity for practice and muscle memory was more important. So same holster on all handguns, same green dot, etc.
Congrats on the move, wish it was to Dallas, Texas though...

Nice idea...tried it on my Gen. 2 G23 (no rails) and it fit fine. Installed an Olight Baldr mini light which also fits well.
PROBLEM is it doesn't fit into a holster... Yes, I bought a IWB holster specifically designed for this light and my gun...however, the light sits lower than it would if it were mount on the frame rails on a newer Glock. These Rail Adapters and a light will not allow you to use a holster unless you want a custom made holster I guess...

For those of you looking for a holster:
In theory, the light should be wider than the rail, so it shouldn't matter. But, most holster manufacturers aren't counting on the fact that you're running a SureFire X300 Turbo on a Glock 43, so they won't make a factory holster option.
You have a few options, and only 3/4 of them are good.
1) There are a few companies making holsters to accommodate this combo with larger lights, others have noted them in the comments
2) Leather light-bearing holsters. This one is the bad option, leather isn't a great idea for striker-fired guns without manual safeties because it can deform its way into the trigger guard over time.
3) Custom kydex. Get your gun set up, take it to a local shop that does custom kydex and have a holster made. You're gonna need to know what you want from the holster, in terms of suppressor height sights, an optics cut, cant, clip location and type, retention, etc. They will most likely be able to help you if they do good work.
4) This last one is a bit of a guess, amd only works for one combo. You *might be able to run a Raven Concealment Vanguard 3, which indexes off of the light instead of the gun. This only works for SureFire X300 lights, and the fact that this rail adapter drops the light a little lower than normal, may not provide adequate trigger guard protection.

ReCover Tactical coming in clutch with this one. Been wanting more lumens on my G43. It’s very dark around my house the porch light only does so much!
Even good for the early gens. I’ve got a gen 2 Glock 22. They don’t have a rail.
That is a very cool work around to be able to fit a light but a downside to it would be that it covers the serial#. I think it would be possible for them to have a window cut out on it, half on each side so when they come together on the gun there is a rectangle opening for the serial#.

Anyone else realize that the magazine extension that Lenny shows off on the g43 is actually from Shield Arms? Which is not an extension that is sold by glockstore. I know this because I own an extension from them, and they always put their shield logo on the bottom. You can see it clearly at 00:46 and 11:12 on the video.
Looks good. But don’t look flush with the frame of the firearm. Seems to stick out a little bit. But still looks good I might have to pick one up.

Slimfit holsters can they give you the option if you have the recover rail and gives a few different light options as well I love mine
Should we use lock tight on the picatinny rail?
So with this rail and the TLR-7a, there isn’t a plate that will fit in any of the grooves. So at that point the light is just holding on from the tightness of that one little screw. In which case it can and will just slide off the “rail system”. Suggestions??

I prefer the TRL6 look but does it for the SS80?
While I do like the TLR6 for my G26, I find the lack of a rail system inhibits the ability to maintain zero on the laser. Because of the nature of mounting it to the trigger guard, you can push the zero right or left when turning the system on.
The TLR6 definitely would benefit from grabbing the top of the frame like the rail system does. Also, the button gets harder to engage the bigger the weapon. My 43 and 42 turn on easily while some creative hand placement is required for the TLR6 on a 19, 26, etc.

This is a great idea but holster options will be scarce.
Jason Cook im betting the glock 26 will work with a glock 19 holster.
The glock43 will be difficult however.

A single rail should be standard in a 26.
I can not bring myself to buy a 43 . Something about a single stack glock is not right. I have my summer cc gun as a 26. Now I have ham hands do they make anything . That can go on the rail to hold my fingers ?

I've got a serious question though. I'm building an ss80 and I'm having trouble finding info on either a rail adapter or just a flashlight for the frame. I really like the look of the new nightsticks, but it definitely doesn't fit the ss80's modified trigger guard. Is there a solution?

Any time you mount any light or a laser to any gun you need a new holster, how is this different? What's the big deal, buy a new holster for your 27 as you would if you put a light on your G19

SOMEONE needs to make cheap, 3D printed, plastic, two piece shrouds that can screw together on an attachment rail to give their “tactical glock” that smooth draw, sleek look. I HATE all these new generations of pistols give you a rail, even when a lot of people never use them. I would buy 3 rail shrouds for different pistols i own because i crave that classic aesthetic.
You absolutely should be using the rail. Darkness is half of all time, and most of the crime. Get a light.

With the new supreme court ruling on 2A rights, living in california where the gun roster exists and can only (for now) get my hands on gen 3 glocks, do you think its worth it to buy a gen 3 glock now knowing thag the cali gun rosters days are numbered? Further, say i do buy a gen 3 glock today, lest say i need to buy a part 5 years from now due to it breaking or malfunctioning on my gun, will gen 3 glocks still be supported?
