A pencil eraser removed the stubborn carbon I had built up, off the lens,. And further more masking tape, or a layer of chap stick applied to the lens, is one way to protect it from the carbon build up while at the range. With the chap stick method it was said to just wipe off when done with a soft, clean cloth or tissue, I learned.

Only buy flashlights with positive on/off switches (click), not soft circuit board power buttons. Coleman battery guard flashlights would be an example of what I'm talking about. As far as gun lights, I have several TLRs and none of them drain batteries when off. I haven't replaced or charged the batteries in them in years.

The judge can ask how you knew the person was armed and dangerous and you can tell them that you have a light on your firearm or the opposite. You can have to not shoot somebody because you can see they don’t have anything in their hands or are not a threat.

A sub light for a sub gun but yet the light exceeds the length of the gun, that’s pretty fucking stupid I want the flashlight to sit flat aligned with my barrel or stick out less

@@scottweisz The benefit of having a light that extends past the barrel is to prevent the gun from going out of battery if in extremely close defense. Good idea to get a light past the barrel.

If it is your first, make sure to un mount it when you get to the range. Or the lens will need cleaning, and depending on ammo and rounds spent, lens may not come all the way back to pristine clean.
