Glock is like a Toyota. You buy it for the bulletproof reliability, not the fancy features. Yes it’s boring, but it will always go bang. A lot of guys like me prefer the simplicity.
All Sig P365 models come optics ready and somekind of rail. Oh and metal NIGHT SIGHTS. (Not a Glock hater, i carry one for defense) but Glock should make every model MOS without charging more.
I took a Glock armorer class a few years ago, where one of their sales guys explained that a lot of their decisions like the cheap plastic sights is all in the interest of keeping initial purchase price down. He said their research shows that around 70-80% of pistol owners put different sights on anyway, so why up the price of a "base model" gun by putting on sights that people will just discard in the first few months? But the rail, in this case, is just part of the frame mold and should never have added any cost to the gun (unless there is metal reinforcement in the frame?).
I have the MOS. It has replaced my G26 for EDC. Never thought that happen. That's how much I like the 43X. Same round count. Much thinner package with longer grip. It's what the G26 should have been.
Any update on this? I watch a lot of videos comparing the 2 guns and a lot of people go back to G26 because it shoots more accurately and softer and conceals better (shorter grip). I've had one before, thinking of picking up another one.
Glock being redesigned is like telling someone you bought a new pair of jeans. Everything is the same but you are forced to explain how it’s different from the last one
Glock are literally the “Apple” of the firearm industry and I mean that as much as a compliment as I do an insult. They’ve been selling the same product with minimal enhancements for decades now and every time a “new” release comes out, they just did something like make the slide .3mm longer or scoot the slide stop back by 1mm, yet people still continue to throw money at them, myself included. There’s nothing wrong with them but also nothing good about them. They’re vanilla ice cream. I have to say, probably the absolute best marketing team in the entire firearm industry though

I have other guns , I myself just prefer my Glocks. I do spend the money to upgrade what I want on mine but , that's me.

At some point, I can begin to see trends in what info sticks and what info I can toss out. I'm not getting much consistency in the idea of mags wearing out. I mean EVERYTHING eventually wears out, but I'm not really losing sleep about whether my mags are going to fail anytime soon.
I got a PSA Dagger Micro with shield cut. $400 with a red dot and 2 15+1 magazines. I don't love it as much as my Sig, but it is a really nice shooting handgun.
@tedr.richardson4655 It's a direct clone. I've put 43x threaded barrel and a Glock upgraded flat trigger in it. The parts are mostly interchangeable. It's just as good at much less price.
Mine wasn't reliable and I can't trust it with my Family's lives. Also its not an identical clone. The trigger assembly is gen 3 glock but shrunk to fit the 43 platform. U can however replace it with the 43 parts.

With Glock you can switch out parts with other Glock models, they’re inexpensive compared to other brands, you can easily customize them for safety, durability, balance, and comfort and aesthetics much easier than other brands. Apple is also the largest company in the world who has lead the tech industry with innovation since they started.
Have the original without the rail. I'll wear my Gen 5 19 MOS with a light and green dot when I'm going far from home or night time. Like the 43x cause you can wear it with shorts and sandals and not know it's there
Try to ask GS a question about upgrading a Glock. There need to be another company that can help with questions the rep was not well knowledgeable on upgrades questions
I don’t need an optic nor a rail for a stupid laser or light on my G43X’s. My 43X’s simply work just fine without all that crap. I’m not clearing buildings, nor doing traffic stops either, so a light isn’t necessary. I’m a minimalist, it’s easier that way.
Them striker fire guns i only go with glock. I was thinking of getting the 43 but i got the 26 17 34 and 45 so i can use all the same mags. Glock is nice and light. The 17 is the 1 i always usually have but my favorite gun is my m9a4

MOS and rail should be standard on all pistols if possible modern competition and self-defense techniques all with the majority benefit from having those options although I love my Glock them making these weird changes so late in the game is not a part of Glock perfection
I would pass on that cuz its still the slim rail, not a standard size rail like on the G19/G17. With this rail You're VERY limited on what WML you can use. I do agree with Lenny that you should get the regular 43x/48 and have you're slide milled for your optic. I did this 3 years ago to my 43x, 48 and 26, got them all back 10 days later, installed a recover tactical rail adapter on all of them and now i couldn't be happier!
Like BMW, and Mercedes etc, must pay for extras that are actually essential for fullest enjoyment of the product or optimal use by the operator. Not for Western European manufacturing culture, US, Asia, Eastern European manufacturers tend to give better value for what you are buying. That arrogance will see them loose market share, as is the case where they loosing market share to Canik, S&W, Luger, & CZ and others, shame

I prefer no rails on my guns. I don’t hang lights, lasers, bayonets, grenade launchers or any other junk on my guns, and I think the rails are just plain ugly. I don’t need MOS either, as I don’t use optics. Just give me a plain Jane pistol. My favorite Glocks are the Gen 2’s…no rails, no finger grooves, just a sweet shooting pistol.
Don't get ported. I had a S&W Shield Plus, with a ported barrel. Thought the slotted slide looked cool. The gun gets FILTHY inside, and I mean the whole inside. I bought a non ported barrel for it. Buy a compensator, if you are worried about muzzle rise.
@@garyszewc3339 you're right about the filth. However, my barrel extends about 3/4" beyond the slide so the port exhaust is not deposited inside. I do love the reduced muzzle flip. Got the barrel on eBay for $100.
Go figure...... The only Glock that continuously manages to remain affordable. I gotta say, as a new gun owner and seeing all these gun related videos, I'm kind of sick of hearing about Glocks. I figured I'd own one at some point, but I'm almost ready to avoid them just out of spite against all these Glock cheerleaders that pepper these videos.

Got my 43x mos 2 years or something ago and it has the accessory rail and it looks like a baby 19x.
