this is like if an uncontacted tribe saw a drone lightshow
And these would be the same people to shit on natives for not being "civilized."
Holy shit Education needs to be free in this goddamn country
Well, there is public education. Higher education, though, yes, I agree. However, even something free won't benefit those who insist on rejecting it.
Education is free but what can you teach a person that thinks Evolution isn't real? They probably don't even know this is what taxes are suppose to goto.
The worst part for me is that, having been a former christian, I know I woulda first thought searchlights but end up going with the crowd because I wouldn't want to be "less christian" than everyone else who sees angels. Like its not just being ignorant, it's actively choosing to ignore knowledge you definitely have because a magic book told you flying people who glow in the dark are real.
Our Mitsubishi, who art in Heaven..
Can we pretend the airplanes in the night sky are shooting stars....
@@Chelaxim That's just silly.
We use Starlink for that.
Mitsubishi: Be Not Afraid
My mitsubishi is in hell, I just sold it to pick n pull after the engine blew out
This video just depresses me. My mother is the kind of person who would believe this. And it’s heartbreaking. Because she wants to believe so badly. And every time she calls with a “sign of god” I get really sad. She’s spent her whole life believing, just like these folks. And nothing is going to happen.
Believe in God doesn't hurt anyone.
Religion breaks the sane mind.
@@godsire6217 I don't think so. I see atheist destroying the world order . Religion has a purpose .It stabilizes society . That is important
@woobiefuntime Except for all of the people who have been tortured and killed in his name and innocent people who are being slaughtered in his name today.
@@miskatonic_alumni you could say the same thing about Atheism . Look at all the people who died because people want to destroy religion. Alot of people were murdered because of that. And are being murdered in places like North Korea and China.
I'm reminded of a joke I read years ago about how I was a sinner headed down the road to destruction when I saw the light - a drunk with his brights on.
I can’t believe humans can be this delusional. They are so obviously just search lights it’s hilarious
Who remembers the people a few years ago rejoicing over the miracle tree that would rain down holy water if you praised jebus under it?
Spolier: all the trees will do that when infested with aphids.
Little holy droplets of aphid waste. 💩
@@mikean7074praise be
Or the crucifix that had water coming out near it's feet and turned out to be a busted sewage pipe from the public restroom. People were bottling and drinking that stuff claiming it was healing holy water.
When these people watch batman, do they think angles are summoning Batman?
No they just think Azrael was the best batman
that's satanic, they only watch left behind movies
@@GamingPandaCat The most believable thing about the first film is that if I were a god and I were pulling off a rapture, I too, would definitely leave Kirk Cameron behind.
@@kenpatchiramasama1076 And yet he ends up being magnitudes worse than Batman lmao
Of course. It all makes sense. Gordon is an angel summoner, and the angels are Batman summoners.
Have these guys never been around a movie theater before? The movie theater in my childhood hometown had searchlights like that you could see for miles making lights all over the clouds. You could literally drive by and watch the lights do figure 8s and shit.
I thought those lights were 🛸 when I was a teenager. It scared me because I didn't want to be kept in a space zoo.
The Costco in my hometown has them, I wondered what they were when I was like 8 and it was still new
Did someone spike the communion wine?
When we couldn't understand the aurora or ball lightning this was acceptable logic.
Dear gods.
Someone told me their inexplicable UFO experience once and I immediately knew what happened so I showed him a picture of the UFO and he exclaimed "That's it!".
I don't even need to mention what I searched to pull up the image, we all know.
@@BaronVonQuiplya balloon?
@@Gloomdrake They saw an orange orb float through the sky, split into two, fly around separately for a bit, and then recombine (I don't recall how it left).
So I googled "Orange ball lightning" showed him my phone, and he was surprised that I had a photo of the bizarre impossible scene he and his cousin had witnessed years ago.
Ball lightning is still pretty spooky to this day.
@@Houtont but also very cool
7:04 The car dealership comment broke me 😂
I hate it here.
This is so wonderful to see back in popularity. This used to be common in properly old RUclips like in 2013 and prior with people like NephilimFree, Don Exodus, and c0nc0rdance before and during the atheist V Christian (and more specifically creationist) era of RUclips and it is just so comical how inept these people are at just... day to day life.
One of those names belongs in a separate category
And I mean, like.... reeeeeaaaallllly separate. From all of us.
@@BaronVonQuiply well in one sense yes but old Neph was the major target because he believes all of it and is willing to defend it.
I mean Don was (is?) a Christian. That’s why I picked that lineup.
@@n0etic_f0x I call him Nephamphetamine because... actually, I think that word explains itself.
_"That's what you do, it's your hobby - being wrong on the internet"_ - Aron Ra describing Mephy's entire internet history that I'm willing to talk about
@@n0etic_f0x I wanted to come back and clarify that I didn't mean to criticize your list or anything, in fact Don Exodus 2 and C0nc0rdance are both great channels and the 3 you listed do bring creationism to mind. I'm just saying I grew up in a creationist environment and even child-me thinks Neph is a bit... unique.
@@BaronVonQuiply no problem, I was not raised in the best environment but hey at least it wasn’t creationist, and if you know the other two people you have been looking into this either very deeply or for well over a decade.
I have always despised Kent Hovind even as a Christian as he is just a vile person and even as a child I could see that.
But still I am so happy to see this ancient thought to return and it is just fun to see return.
I saw this ridiculous video and was hoping you'd cover it. My prayers have been answered 🙏
It used to be so common on RUclips, it was ages ago when it would happen but it was so common. One of the more modern examples is CoolHardLogic World of Batshit which started nine years ago but is a fun watch for some RUclips history.
@@n0etic_f0x I'm nostalgic over the video with the lady spraying vinegar in her backyard to dissolve the chemtrails.
@@BaronVonQuiply same, my boyfriend’s dad was insane like that, he believed in magic and that spices had powers.
I missed this so much where the popular religious people are just clearly totally insane and don’t understand anything.
These people would lose their minds if they hung out near an airport on a cloudy night. They would legit run down the runaway at a plane about to land like a deer in the headlights.
Ma'am it's just the 20th Century Fox sign.
Such Testimony from Jake, he has real life angels showing up for his stream
"How will we call Jesus if we need him again?'
"He has given us a signal!"
These ppl wouldn't stand a chance against a Scooby Doo villain
If they post this they will be eviscerated by trolls
Part of the reason I essentially found out religions a crock at around age ten is because of something just like this. I vividly remember this occasion where all the kids were pulled out of Sunday school to witness 'the presence of Jesus' that had entered into the main congregation hall. I went in there stoked to see the Jesus in real life and was bummed when it was just a bunch of full-grown adults pretending to speak in tongues.
We went to an AofG church and my parents got really mad at my Baptist grandma when later she told me speaking in tongues was total bullshit.
Those can't be angels. They don't have enough eyes.
The end is here. The end of high prices!
_"Simpsons did it! Simpsons did it!"_
I wonder if any of them drove past the theatre or dealership that was shining those lights? lol
"Those angels really have some great deals on late model cars! Hallelujah!"
They’re behaving like people from the middle ages just seeing god everywhere without any critical thought. It’s baffling
This is extra funny to me cause the last place I saw with search lights was the opening of Lovers Package the adult toy store. Seems angles love personal massagers.
I guess we know now what would happen if you brought technology back to the bronze age/dark age... except theyre living with us right now
It's a Cargo Cult that never got any cargo, never saw any airmen, didn't even live on an island, and had full access to all of human knowledge, and yet they still made the bamboo headphones.
"ain't no grave gonna hold my body down" yo, what? That sounds horrifying. Out here singing about how rad it's going to be to reanimate into zombies.
The pastor looks and sounds like he knows exactly what's going on. The lackluster response that equates to "yeah. uhuh. Yes dear."
When a Ghost song comes true
Swear I heard them sing, "Ain't no braaaaiiin gonna hold my body down" 😅
God ignoring everything else (you know, all the atrocities) just to do this BS
A stupid God for a stupid people 😂
I'd love to be able to paint this as diminishing returns, but like... this is about as idiotic as three guys seeing lights in the sky and saying "better buy gold, frankincense, and myrrh and start walking!"
Put that way, we're slowly making progress.
[aside] God DAMMIT, Grandma! I told you to stop sending your social security to Joel Osteen. He's Neither Martin short nor Tim Allen and we already talked about you sending them money!
This video makes me so fucking scared and uncomfortable. Holy fuck. People really do believe in this shit, that is so fucking scary.
In the year of their lord, 2023, these rubes immediately jump to supernatural, cosmic, religious angels.
They're reverted to cavemen hiding from Thor's wrath.
12:01 they also don't believe anything not actively in their line of sight exists, apparently...
I've seen this sort of stuff before, with illuminated smudges in photos being mistaken for ghosts and blurry photos of the sky being used as evidence of alien spacecraft.
Johnny Cash is ROLLING right now
Smartest conservatives
A perfect illustration of all of Christianity, regularly confusing the works of humanity as the work of god.
My friend, while drunk, mistook parking lot lights for a UFO. So I can see the same mistake being interpreted as something divine. The most troubling thing about this is how bloody many people are gawping and clamoring about this like it's a real supernatural event.
Seriously, not a single one of them called out the bullshit. This is why the non religious do not like the religious
Someone absolutely has to geolocate that clip, theyll be able to find the source of those angels reeeal quick
On some level I feel sorry for these people, who are likely working class folk who have been crushed by capitalism, and have so little going for them that they'll look to mundane signs as miracles. On the other hand, people like this are very easy to manipulate by those in power, who can turn them against groups suffering from even more marginalization in society. The correlation between more nonreligious societies and more prosperous societies occurs because when people's material needs are met and their lives are fulfilled, they have less inclination to turn to superstition for hope and reassurance.
Don't feel sorry for them. We're all being crushed by capitalism, it doesn't excuse them living with this degree of delusion. They chose this for themselves. They decided that maintaining a dark-ages mentality was better than trying to actually comprehend the world around them. They deserve nothing but our ridicule and derision.
@@TheCountOfMommysCrisco True, they might be TFG, like a lot of MAGA and Qanon types. The goal however is to prevent others from becoming radicalized the same way. You have to address the root cause of what makes people susceptible to cult indoctrination, which tends to be economic despair and desperation, otherwise you're just endlessly whittling away at the symptom.
Nah, I'm working class and I don't believe in this nonsense. If anything the crushing misery and hopelessness should be proof that either there is no god, or he fucking hates every single one of us and wants us to hang ourselves.
I'm thinking: You got the positive feedback of heaven and such for not thinking critically...then you got the negative feedback of the stress of hell when you consider that you might not believe...then you've got all these people telling you that faith (a.k.a. a lack of thought) is great. It's no wonder why these types of thought processes happen. People's religious views, at least those that tell of a hell for nonbelief and heaven for belief, give a ton of emotional motive to not think critically.
There are some folk who would rather find things to justify their beliefs and maintain the status quo than to attempt to test their beliefs and see if they hold up to scrutiny. American Evangelicals are especially regimented into disregarding or canceling any idea that might create even a sentilla of doubt.
Willful ignorance should not be a social standard. It should be something that sees one rejected from respectable society.
🎶 It's the end of the world as we know it / it's the end if the world as we know it / and I feel fine.

On one hand I want to laugh because it's like showing cavemen a smartphone.
On the other hand I want to cry because their lives are so full of lies, manipulation and tragic ignorance.
These people are allowed to vote 🤦
I wonder if they'll keep worshipping these lights until some clearer skies show what they actually are or if they'll just kind of eventually realize that each and every one of them are [REDACTED] and awkwardly shuffle home lmao

“Hallelujah!” “God is good!” ….. even if this were something unexplained, or even something confirmed to be divine in nature …. What the fuck is good or praiseworthy about putting some lights in the sky?
God, your creations are dying and suffering all around the globe, but you’re just fucking around with lights in the sky?! Oh yeah, great god.
Antitheism isn't the "only position." Antimonotheism is, however. Monotheism is imperialist religion which required indoctrination and encourages fundamentalism
The Greeks and Romans were polytheistic and they were pretty damn imperialistic.
... what?
@@flunkiebubs2002Did they try to replace the local religions with their own? That's been standard behavior for Christians and Muslims for more than a thousand years now.
Religion plus institutional power is the formula for imperialism and colonialism. Religion stripped of power, approached voluntarily by individuals who are given freedom of choice, is relatively harmless. However, at that point, why call it religion?
