Before the new lets play starts with Lady Bigwallet III, it would be great to get all the older kids sorted into Jobs, houses and partners etc! would be great to see Ash with Krysta and having kids in their own house, would be good to see the boys having partners, Willow starting her own vets, even if its just a couple of videos showing us how they are all getting on :)
You could have made the downstairs bedroom smaller and enlarge the gym room. It would have made more sense. 😂

for my home gyms I use "Soft Landing Playground Cover" It is actually listed in Tile in the flooring Pattern section of build buy comes in Red, Blue and Black

You could've made the gym room bigger to lessen the space of the other bedroom even just one tile. Could be good for future furnishing of the gym as well :) the keyboard piano was cheaper too, kinda makes more sense with the DJ machine? Like you can imagine to input the sound from the keyboard to the DJ station. Anyway! I love the red so much hahaha
also remember one of the twins is into fabrication! so maybe next time you can visit them and put the machine in the greenhouse like in their other house
I'm proud of you James for not making it 2 elaborate hobby rooms and empty bedrooms in the end LOL Although 4 different wood colors in the upstairs bedroom are a war crime.
An Aspen and Alder live stream mini series sounds like a perfect solution to this sad lot for two bachelors. I think a single episode would not be enough lol. Especially if you want to get that Athletic career rug for the home gym.
I recon Brodie's home needs to be renovated too. I feel so sorry for the poor guy.

The DJ twin should have the bedroom on the bottom floor near the music stuff, since he might be making noise late at night and doesn’t want to wake his brother. The gym twin should have the upstairs bedroom because it means he has to take the stairs and will be able to get in some extra steps for his workout through that!
I'd love to see you play them for a mini series and find them some great partners, so they hopefully grow the family organically as you play the other family!
I have to admit... It hurt my heart when he got rid of the easel. But I'm excited to see what all happens with the new generation
I'm definitely in favor of a Aspen & Alder mini series! Get them established in their own lives with careers (since I think one is still part time and the other is unemployed) and maybe one or both find another sim to marry. And if they have enough Satisfaction points, I think it'd be fair to get that trait that starts you at a higher level in a job. Make it less tedious to play.
And if Lady 3 is going to be the heir, maybe have a mini series where each group (Ash-Krysta and Willow, the triplets, Sandalwood) get an episode or two to set them up for their future before Story Progression takes over.
There should be a 'used' category for home furnishings/equipment as it could simulate the second-hand market and allow for homes to be completely furnished on a budget.
It would be hilarious if you added a bubble blower and some fold up chairs into the “green” house so it can still get some use 😂

I have a couple tips/tricks that might work! :) One, there is a flooring I use for home gyms all the time - I believe it's called Playground Cover (or something like that). Two, in the let's play part the other day, you kept losing the cake in the household inventory. I believe it's technically a debug item, so when you have Organized Debug on (with your mod), you need to click to have debug &/or live edit objects appear in your household inventory. I hope these help!
I feel like the issue of having way too much space and no money to fill it might have been slightly alleviated by putting both bedrooms upstairs instead, and then just making the entire downstairs a sort of hobby zone. Then again, this house I feel is just way too big for 2 sims with 0 kids. It would be nice to see them get a roommate or a distant cousin to stay with them and occupy some of this space.
I love how James is like we have a budget. Lol blows through almost all budget. This would be a fun lets play. Also how they gonna afford the house now?
They already moved in and it was paid for. Last episode.

Missed opportunity to adjust the stairs so the living room isn't so cramped feeling. Would have been cool to repurpose the archway from upstairs as well, maybe between kitchen and living.
I love how James’ colour schemes have gone from black, white, grey and red, to mint green, mint green, blue, dark and light woods and the occasional pop of pink😁
I’d say the twin who uses the music room should get the downstairs bedroom, so the other twin can go upstairs if he wants to evade the noise 😂
Chiming in to agree with those saying Ash & Willow, Aspen & Alder, and the Triplets need their own little 3-part mini series to set them up with careers, love interests, etc before Lady Bigwallet III goes on her epic horse girl adventure. I was actually thinking it would be cool if Willow & Lady Bigwallet III ended up living together on a ranch someday. I might be fond of Willow.

i was thinking you couldve moved the walls over by 1 so the gym was expanded and the lower level bedroom was shrunk a little, but it turned out pretty nice all things considered! Didnt have to do TOO much cutting back on interior items at least~

I like the red! My daughter's bedroom is red on 3 walls and a grayish blue on the 4th wall.
You could have made the bedrooms smaller, that makes more sense to me.
And yes for playing with them a little bit to get them jobs.
This was such a good video! I'd love it if you did this for all the rest of Quinn's kids too. Seems only fair that they get set up with a nice life since they were a bit neglected growing up and then all missed out on being the Bigwallet heir to their cousin Lady.
Fun fact~ those barista mats are not just for comfort. There's almost always water or some type of liquid (spilled drinks, milk, syrup, etc) on the floor behind the counter in cafes and the mats can help you not slip as easily as well haha!

For the gym floor, there is a base game tile, soft landing playground cover you can use. It's got like puzzle effect.
10:28 For long rooms like this I usually break them down with a built-in wardrobe, maybe a bookshelf *(in the centre of the room to cut it in half). The room "flows" a bit better, and then you can give the bed space more privacy. Maybe that would help?
Hi James, I subscribed to you tonight because I've been watching you for about 4 months & I really, truly appreciate that you don't ever do videos talking about how bad Sims is, focusing on any negative, how packs are too expensive, thank you! I love this game, it's my escape from my real life so I don't need it dissed.
One thing I would love to see updated is the way played households work. If I'm playing in one house, the other house I play with soho still be going to work and making money. If I invite that sim over, they will leave for work so their funds should reflect that
I think there is a wall that wasn’t painted on the main floor near the bathroom on the side where the mirror and hall table is 😊
I feel like since Quinn would miss having Aspen and Alder at home, and would be excited the two of them are living at the old house, I could see her wanting to help them fill up the empty walls by giving them some of her own paintings!
But I think this is a nice little renovation for them! I like the idea of coming back and having an episode with the twins!
When I was a kid we had a 32 inch tube TV and I was the coolest kid on the block lol it was hooked up to a VCR and a military looking satellite dish that was taller than our house and like 5 feet across 😂

The book nook loveseat is basically perfect for a built-in window seat. It looks out of place as anything else.

My headcanon for the entire BCU is that any inheritance goes into a trust which buys a plot of land for each descendant with nothing on it and doesn't give them a cent more, so in that sense the Bigwallet's own everything anyway.
It would be great if we could set visibility per item, or get another view options to toggle between how much we see of the wall furniture.
Try a "Building a house only using Expansion Packs", "Building a house only using Game Packs", "Building a house only using Stuff Packs", "Building a house only using Kits" and "Building a house only using the Free Holiday Pack" challenge. All in one video. Each house has to be only one pack. And you have to use the worlds from their packs too. Only exception is the Desert Luxe Lit, which you can _only_ use in _Oasis_ Springs.
Each kit, such as the Booknook Kit, has to be a build fitting it, so for the Booknook Kit, you'd build a library. With the Basement Treasures Kit, you build a basement. With the Greenhouse Kit, you build a Greenhouse. You _can_ use basegame things, but only wallpaper, flooring, roofing, etc. Just the small things. And yes, a hose is considered a small thing. I think I''ll make a post in the sub with the rules properly written.

7:12 if you go into tiles there’s a puzzle piece floor that’s all black, or navy, or dark red. It’d work better in the gym

honestly before i realized it was for two specific sims (idk how i watched this whole thing without realizing, poor listening skills) i didn’t like it, but realizing that i was very much humbled. i definitely think it’s a perfect base for the twins renovations and so so realistic as far as merging the reality of life in the sims (homes look so different from the staged photos taken for real estate when they’re actually lived in)
For the wardrobe press F5 so you can place half tiles instead of one full tile then you can put in the center.
Decent renovation for how little money they had and all the rooms you added, maybe the wardrobe can be separate from the bedroom and it can be a room the brothers share to store their clothes.
Maybe the one who used the music room get the creative room downstairs, it will not be "noisy" for the other when they used the room.
the barista mat is so that u don't slip with liquids and that ceramics don't break it has nothing to do with comfort. Hospitality is rough.
Those type columns are on just about every porch in the US South. If the house has a porch, it's got those columns. Also a couple of rocking chairs.
the oversized downstairs bedroom with the walk in closet seems like a huge waste of space. Turn it into a spare room, or make the home gym larger.
Because the family is so big, it'd be really fun if you just moved them around the world, like not limited to one world but spread them out, and maybe leave some neighbourhood stories on, like getting pets and kids n stuff, and just watch with Lady III on the ranch and see how the family grows or passes without James
I would have turned this house into 2 “flats” the upstairs for one sibling and the downstairs for the other. And with the stairway maybe laundry room and gym area as a shared space
I feel like vibe wise from the rooms that Alder's would be the one downstairs and Aspen's the one upstairs!
@JamesTurner I have an idea for a really ridiculous build challenge, building a house but every five minutes you are given a new pack to be use, a new theme, a new color, and a new type of room. So your shell is forever changing your house is forever changing...

That TV, new, when they first came out, would have been about $300 to $400 in North America. For $1200+ you could have gotten a much bigger one than that...likely a 45" at least.

When I was a kid, my mom asked me what color I wanted my room. I said “red” and she just blinked, and said back, “red? Like, everything?” And I just said “yeah”. So I had red carpet, walls, curtains, furniture, and bedspreads lol. I really loved it.
You could have ditched the spare downstairs bathroom...the entire room, extending the laundry room out into it.
I know it’s not necessarily meant to be super matchy, but the 5 different wood tones in the upstairs bedroom is kinda killing me.
speaking as someone with a sibling... NEVER A SHARED OFFICE SPACE! EVER! Especially if you have different views than your sibling. My "office" is my bedroom, no need for a seperate room for my pc. only thing I'd need a seperate room for is a craft room for making cosplay.

I challenge you to renovate a house and not move the walls, doors, or windows. It's expensive and you also have to figure out how to close up the holes left by doors & windows that were removed (IRL) You can't move exteriour walls and have to mind structure if removing interiour walls. What walls are load bearing and would need columns to support the celling?
I remodel places and don't move anything and if I replace windows & doors, I use an item that fits the hole. I also build the shell and then, when I'm placing furniture, If a window is in the way, I have to leave it there. I like the challenge.
