This sim lost everything from investing all their money into future cubes. He has a bunch of stock left over he couldnt sell but he's dedicated to turning it into a profit. The trauma of losing all his money stimulated his fear of the color green, which he tries to overcome by connecting with the outdoors and gardening in his free time
Ohhh or what about a fixerupper kinda thing where he first needs to guess what the challenge was and then generates a challenge on how to "fix" the houses😂
I love the wording “afraid of” instead of “doesn’t like.” it’s just so hilarious to imagine a sim screaming in terror every time they see the color green lmao
I made my sims fear be centered in the middle of the lot in a cage with an observation camera and testing equipment like they think it’s some outlandish creature needing to be studied. Figured that fit “fear” lol
This build is like a video documentary on a successful career sim who loses their battle with addiction to buying future cubes, and slowly has to sell all their belongings to afford more of them.
A James Turnee house: - must contain Batuu - cannot have a bin - optional, black and white colour scheme Edit: oh my goodness thank you for all the likes!!!
@@mel0dicHarp Yes, Oasis Springs has multiple 20x15 in the mostly desert area around Johnny Zest. At least two, but I think it's actually three. Might even be four; I just know one lot with a house is this small for sure and I'm pretty certain one empty lot is also this small and one or two of either is as well.
I'd like to see you renovate this build into what it could be. The house deserves to reach it's full potential. Even keep the rest of the rules, just ignore budget.
I think the rule should be if you do the optional challenge e.g. building on a diagonal, then you get to eliminate one of the other challenges, e.g. 30 future cubes!
One Thing I would like about the challenge is if you can pick which packs you have.. for example if it had to have a climbing wall I would be lost because I don´t have the pack with it :)
I know how expensive future cubes are because I'm always excited when I fish one in my Rags to Riches, so as soon as he started putting in the furniture I was thinking "What about the future cubes?" Sorry, James. Instead of thinking it, I should have yelled it and saved you from having to delete all your nice touches. Great build challenge.
With 30 future cubes this feels like a house built for one of the sims in Lilsimsie's nightmare legacy challenge since she had a generation where she kept using the future cubes to make decisions....except she'd make them ask more than once. Here she could have literally just kept choosing different future cubes! LOL I don't think I've ever paid so much attention to the tiny color details of items when placing them, so seeing James keep looking for any amount of green on any indoor furniture was both funny and intriguing! Though since one of the desks' green was literally some photo of the outdoors and this sim loves the outdoors, should that have counted as part of their fear. I know fears are irrational thoughts and don't make logical sense, but if the sim loves the outdoors then I'd think they'd be okay with an image on their desk of the outdoors. They just wouldn't want anything else green.
Can you revisit your bridge house? I just thought about this. You did like a bridge and a mountain home a while back. I think there should be a revisited old build series. That’d be so cool. Love ya James. ❤❤ ❤
Just used the generator, I am so inspired!!! The chaos is unreal and I am here for it. I cannot wait for my course to be over and to have some free time!!!
i want him to make that bathroom smaller so bad and check how much the wallpapers cost 😭 but i have a feeling nothing would still change bc of how expensive those dang future cubes cost

Yes, I was SO hoping you'd code a build generator as well! I'm excited to try it! Love the "James Turner" style category lol. Doesn't that mean it has to be a black and white build? 🤭
The whole time I was hoping you would include the future cubes, but not subtract them from the budget! I would love to see this house renovated in full James Turner style - I loved the direction you were going!

I think you'd love the renovation challenge, James. I am watching Amanda Play Sims do iit now. Perhaps when you move out Sims from your current series. Great build!
The sims you build for in this challenge are afraid of the weirdest things. I literally got a couple that was afraid of windows and railings on staircases!

All the future cubes remind me of that Doctor Who episode. If your Sim is career driven, make them a scientist and clone the future cubes, then you’ll have more budget for the build.

Because it says "must have THEIR 30 future cubes", I'd totally interpret that to mean they already own the thirty future cubes and it doesn't need to be counted towards the budget. But this way is also fun 😂

Aww I would argue that this is exactly what a James Turner fixer upper would be like!! Maybe you should have gone the route of building a more run down, slightly decrepit looking place and move one of your future sims into it!! It could be their starter home. One where they explore their budding interest in outdoor activities while they prepare themselves for a career… in a tech start up selling next gen future cubes… 🤣
Oh please re-do this. I was so excited (and had no idea what a future cube was) and half way through the video I immediately became irritated at the stupid cube lol

Spot on!
@nannasofie thank u!
Omg yeah, I can totally picture this. Him sitting on his bed with three or four future cubes, repeating his mantra "buy the dip.... buy the dip..."
Poor sim needs the psychiatrist from Sims 2
Outdoorsy lifestyle but afraid of green... what a sim!
i'm guessing they're an arctic person XD maybe a mountain climber not a lot of green up there.
Beach, snow, lava and dirt. Lovely outdoors 😂😂
Honestly i wish james built on oasis springs... Pretty sure the lot near the river is 20x15?
I rolled a gardener sim with a hedge maze in a tiny house on a giant lot.. who is afraid of nature
Came to say the same thing, they must be scared all the time.
makes sense to me that a career-driven sim would have a house with no furniture because they spend all their time at work
And they’re paid in future cubes
@@amynewton774 maybe they're the inventor of the future cube? so they're actually working on all those cubes
I'm thinking about American Psycho apartment 😅
Now we need a reverse challenge. Someone builds the house and someone else has to guess what the challenges were.
This!!!
He could make a video out of that. Guessing viewers challenges or something like that
YESSSS
Ohhh or what about a fixerupper kinda thing where he first needs to guess what the challenge was and then generates a challenge on how to "fix" the houses😂
This would be a great video!
A James Turner house? To me, this means a modern build, white walls, black and grey furniture, platforms, half walls and of course BATUU!!!
Don’t forget no garbage bins as he always forgets them. 😂😂😂
And the city living wooden things!😂
And lots of columns
I was wondering what "James Turner House" means. Now I have an idea 😂

Damn, I felt so bad when James had to delete EVERYTHING because of the future cubes 😂
Same 😭 It was so pretty before
Same I want the original house
i’m so excited for my sims to get nothing done but ask the future cubes their future lmao
Kayla did that, every choice her sim made was based on the cube.
@@indigowulf no i loved that video haha

Refuses to go outside during spring and summer.
Outdoors can be brown too. Ooh or they could live in a snow covered area
Could use the alien plants from Get to Work.
Yeah I would have put this household in one of the desert worlds. 😂
I just imagine this sim screaming cause of all the green while gardening…
I tried it and got:

-Owners are afraid of stairs

Ladders it is! 🤣
They are a vampire or spellcaster then 🤣🤣 additionally you can have a good level in wellness, you can also teleport
James saying “That’s a James Turner thing” and “I think James Turner would do something more like this” had me laughing 😂
Now, the challenge is to download the house, zero the budget, sell the future cubes, and bring JT's actual vision to life. This is SUPER FUN!

A JT house means weird shapes, texturizing with walls, black and white with a small drizzle of AH BATUU YEHEHEHEAA sprinkled in
If only there were places in the sims where you could build a house without grass outside...... maybe some sort of *oasis* perhaps?
