I've always loved her non-traditional builds! But I think because she posts so much, it totally makes sense she wants to stay in her comfort zone - I'm guessing builds she's not as comfortable with take more time, and she deserves a life outside the Sims too.
Luckily she put some stairs outside so we can pretend she just moved them and changed them. 😂Not that it matters much since she wasn't submitting it for the challenge and I'm pretty sure they can't even tell if the originals got deleted but ya know. 💠🟩

I have a new challenge idea (don't know if somebody else had the same idea yet): You build a normal house with no restrictions, but when it's time for furnishing, you only get to use items starting with the same letter as the name of the room. For example, inside the bedroom you only get to use items with the letter 'b' as its first letter (like bed, bookshelf etc.) and inside the living room you only get to use furniture with the letter 'l' (like lamp or lounging chair). You can make it a little easier for yourself and allow names like leather couch for the letter 'l' or you can make it harder and only allow couch for the letter 'c'. Also, you can use 'alternative' names for the rooms to 'choose' the letter like you could use restroom or bathroom, which makes two different starting letters for the same room. I hope the 'rules' are understandable.
It would be interesting, but I'm having a very difficult time thinking how to get a functional bathroom in such a challenge without having to use the bushes as toilets. Technically there is a bidet upgrade available for toilets, but do any of the toilets in-game have names that start with the letter B? Or L (lavatory) or W (water closet) for that matter?
Elaborating on what joyfulcabbage said, maybe instead of things that start with the letter of the room, you could only use the names ea named the item in game. So for example if you’re doing the bathroom you can use the toilet that’s named “bashful sitter. “ (not an actual toilet name in the sims) 😅

I like that she used other stuff besides base game, no budget, and a different build style than usual! It looks really good and I'd love to see her build more like this tbh
I started imagining the family that would live in this house. I have Jessica the painter, she’s always got some paint on her, loves her wife and daughter, inspires creativity in everyone. Then Sarah the gardener, her plants are her pride and joy second only to her daughter, you’ll find her spending 90% of her time in the garden tending to her babies. Finally Nicole is their teen daughter, her moms have always encouraged her to follow her dreams and she loves to try new things. She doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life yet, but she’s excited to find out! I love them and this house❤️
The second bathroom you made looks EXACTLY like the bathroom in my friend's house (the layout not the colour scheme) so don't worry if you think it looks somewhat bizarre, it looks good! Loved this whole build and you should have more confidence in your decisions because you always say 'oh that looks bad' etc but realistically, compared to something I know some of us could make, it is more advanced and looks a lot nicer - we love your builds, Kayla!

16:23 you can actually use the "outer" end piece (the one between the basic counter and the right finish) as an end-piece cause that's a square and it looks nice! that's what i often do when the actual end pieces don't look how i want them to
I've only just recently found your videos, one thing I don't like is the fact that you doubt yourself at almost everything you do. There are things sure that you don't like but if you do, don't doubt it!! I've loved most of the builds you've done. Don't forget if there are people that don't like the build they don't have to download it. Even if you love it!

Kayla, I thought we had learned by now that The Sims don't do matching color swatches 😂 You cannot crave two matching greens or two matching woods, that is too much to ask from the creators 😂

I'd love someone to do a build with this but make it as buggy and glitchy as possible, like add a curved wall and all other cursed assets and game play possible lol. Like "Here ya go team, this is the pinnacle of Sims 4 😜". I just noticed that the ghost pillow is wearing a Santa hat!
I absolutely adore this build! I like all the textures and im such a sucker for green with wood. It just looks so cool and makes me happy. lmaoo the outside is incredible btw. playing there would be a lot of fun. Only nit pick is that fairy lights on the "deck/roof" would have been so cool!!

What the hell even is that?" I laughed it off but it really hurt me🚶🏽♀️ (because I really liked the house and it took me 3 days to build)
This house is giving 'this was the only house we could afford on the market so we bought it and DIYed the exterior really well, because we couldn't afford to tear the whole house down and start again' and it really works
Awesome job. It would probably be easier to make it a community lot, like a hospital. That way the one pointy end can be like a feature area with a statue or a fountain, and the other pointy end could be "utility area" with pipes and stuff. The other thought, if you really wanted to lean into the green/plant thing, would be to make the entire thing an elaborate greenhouse with pools winding through to look like irrigation and have a fountain/water feature at the pointy end. If you're allowed to add a basement, then you could do a story driven build with it as a bunker "Plumbob Eden" and have your solar panels and stuff on the roof with everything off grid...
Yeah, I did the plumbob challenge and you are right, Kayla, it was a very odd shape to work with! My entry ended up looking whimsical and quite silly! It was a lot of fun to build. Corners like that i corner off with raised platforms to make little ledge shelving kinda areas to put clutter
