Marilyn and I have a similar story, but for me I have a family. My mother divorced twice but always loved God. She is a beautiful soul, but suffered from mental health as a human being. Thank God for Jesus’s mercy and forgiveness for us! I suffered as a child, but it’s not anyone’s fault. Please pray to God for my lustful sins and an abortion! I have repented and now looking into Catholicism instead of staying a Protestant. I pray for mercy and forgiveness.
God always grants mercy to those that ask…it’s the thing He most joyously gives….

I remember praying for celebrities in Hollywood at 3pm and I saw Madonna’s heart. It looked really really dark and I remember feeling very tearful at this. But it wasn’t my grief it was the lord’s. So yes the devil makes us think it’s silly to pray for people that we see on tv but we have to remember they are real souls and Jesus died for them too. Keep praying for those that we’ve judged as being marked for hell. Because maybe they are , but Gods mercy allows us to do something about it.

The music industry is demonic says Jesus that,s why he wouldn,t let Colton from Heaven is for real sing We will rock You. The movie and music industry need prayers because those people that suddenly become successful so fast is because they sold their souls to the devil..this is common knowledge with alot of people around the world. Tom Cruise needs alot of prayers to get away from scientology. They tried to get me to join their club but I said no and started walking out of there while the sales lady was following me trying to keep me from leaving. Those people are pushy. I felt nothing but darkness in there and there were young people sitting in front of these computers looking as if they were being mind controlled. Thank God I got out of there quick. The place felt purely evil.

I saw an old classmate on 2 dreams in purgatory 35 years ago. He committed suicide at 21. He asked me to forgive him for bullying me at elementary school. It's a real place with huge flames all around these poor souls.

I never believed Marylin Monroe was somebody with malice in her heart. Rather, someone mixed up badly. I am pleased to hear she got cut a break. Prayers for Marylin and hope she passed into higher levels of purgatory by now.

Not the same but I have one story from when I was a student nurse on my last placement before qualifying.
I was working in the ED when a patient came in after a suicide attempt where they poisoned themselves with a plant and due to being qualified in that area they knew it would kill them and that there was no treatment for it.
We did what we could in the ED, toxbase in london said no one in the world had ever survived this poison and all we could do was keep them as comfortable as possible as they died an awful death.
We transferred them to the ICU after several cardiac arrests in the ED and another as we transferred.
As I was driving home from my shift I was distraught because I kept thinking about how the patient told us they were Catholic but none of the nurses called for a Priest despite all nurses knowing we must do certain things for different religions as they die and being a student still I didn’t have the confidence to speak up at the time during all the hectic-ness of trying to save them.
But driving home there was something telling me ‘you have to call a Priest, you have to call a Priest now before it is too late’.
When I got home I broke down telling my mum and dad what I could about my patient and them being Catholic without breeching confidentiality.
My mum then called one of our locals Priests to ask about getting someone in to give my patient their ‘last rites’ and that Priest went and arranged for the on-call Priest at the cathedral in the same town to go up. The local Priest said he would suggest to the on-call Priest to say to the ICU staff that he was just passing on his way home and thought he would pop in to see if any new Catholic patients had arrived before going home so to protect me from disciplinary action for doing all this outwith the hospital setting.
When I arrived the next day to my shock I was told that despite every specialist involved and all ICU doctors knowing my patient wouldn’t survive the night because no one in the world had - my patient was not only still alive but had stabilised and would survive!
I have no doubt that the Holy Ghost or maybe my Guardian Angel was the one telling me that I had to get a Priest for them.
I have another story from a couple years later where again it was either the Holy Ghost or my Guardian Angel that saved my life when I was in a horrific car crash caused by another driver.
When I realised I couldn’t swerve to avoid the other driver in my lane because if I did I would either go down an embankment, go into a load of trees or crash into innocent people in another car.
It felt like someone was shouting in my head to ‘lift up my legs and let go of the steering wheel and try to curl up in a ball’.
The traffic police told me they could see where I started braking and where I released the brakes from the skid marks on the road.
The fire brigade, air ambulance and staff in the ED could not believe I only ended up with torn muscles in my neck and a bruised sternum because with the damage my car sustained I should have lost one or both my legs and could likely have died.
The mechanic who had the contract with police to recover cars in accidents said when I went a could days later to collect my belongings from my car that he could not believe I was the driver as in all his years of recovering cars as damaged as mine the driver/passengers normally ended up either extremely hurt and in the ICU or dead…
Wonderful testimonies thank you for sharing. I wonder where your poison patient is now - and did their prayers for whoever had called the priest send help to you when you needed it? God bless you ❤️🙏❤️

I think it’s so important for women to speak out about how destructive abortion is to women. It’s a part of a whole exploitative method of thinking about women and our sexuality that victimizes women and their children, and no one should be allowed to speak of it as empowerment or human rights without being reminded of the grim reality of what it is and what it represents. Enslavement to death.
And the truth is all those abortions empower evil, not woman. Human sacrifice is what gives him his power. Pray we abolish abortion & evil

I have been setting up Masses once a week, for 12 years, for the Holy Souls in purgatory. That's how long ago my son graduated from West Point. I told my son he would never go to war because I have friends in very high places. Daily I pray for the deliverance of the Suffering Souls in Purgatory, and I ask them to pray for my son, that he never goes to war. My son is an officer and he has never even been close to a war zone.

I always had a lot of pity for poor Norma Jean broken and desperately looking for purpose and love. Her life was such a trail of tears. Please God have mercy on her and give her the solace she always so eagerly seeked.
As a young woman I felt compelled to have Mass said for Evita Peron and like Patricia I thought I would be judged. So I used her maiden name Eva Duarte. I haven’t prayed for her for many years thank you for inspiring me to begin again. Viva Cristo Rey!

I have had dreams of dead relatives in a gray place surrounded in ashes in purgatory. And I had some bad relatives who died but I never saw them again. Some of them have definitely entered in heaven a few days or weeks after death. I saw one in a very very dark place I could not see anything in the darkness but I knew he was right in front of me. He was glad I cannot see him and I can feel his awful feeling of nothingness blending in the darkness. He is not in hell but at the lowest purgatory since 1960. I had the impression that he will stay there until the end of the world. I pray for all souls like this.
So beautiful that God has mercy on those who have childhood trauma and make poor choices because of their formative years.

It makes sense. I know people in my personal life who are very difficult to convert because of their childhood trauma. It makes them defensive and not very open to receiving God's Word or His love. I'm sure God weighs everything and takes all of this into account.
If this type of god really had mercy, he would just take them in his arms instead of letting them go through torture.

When you listen to older music or watch films with deceased actors always take a moment to pray for them. Same goes for TV shows with unsolved mysteries and such. Pray for the people mentioned.

Many were strongly devoted to the Catholic faith and were not ashamed of it unlike today. Many may just need a few prayers or ONE mass to be released. They will intercede for us of course when we pass over and are bound in Purgatory.. I pray more for those who died suddenly, those closest to heaven and for those who converted to Catholicism.
Agree, I started this Nov having Masses said for those that die suddenly like plane crashes. I watched the story of an airline (US) where the salvageable plane parts from a crashed plane were placed in different planes which led to the airline staff on those planes having 'ghostly' encounters from those that died in the crash. Inspired me to have Masses said for them, and those that die tragically/suddenly in various ways that never got to prepare. Fr Jim Blount says ghosts are likely souls asking for prayers.
Great interview! I have always liked Elvis and felt that he did truly have a heart for God but the fame tore him apart. Kind of like a King David person…one of his most beautiful songs is called Miracle of the Rosary ! I was watching a video on purgatory once about how, this woman was given the opportunity to visit purgatory and among other famous people there she said she saw Elvis and that he had finally been moved to the very first level of Purgatory and. was there waiting for more prayers to get out , this woman said that Elvis told her that he needed more prayers. so that "The Lady from above" would come and help him get to heaven . is this true ? I would like to believe that it is , but you be the judge ! 👍

After reading the book of Maria Simma I also started to pray more for the holy souls in purgatory, by some occasion I had the strong feeling that I had to “ adopt” Freddie Mercury /Farrokh Bulsara.
I also have masses said for him, I will continue to pray for him.
I was not a fan of him before at all, but now I start to get fond of him, and try to focus on the good things he did for others.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I sent this to my son. He knows I have a passion to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. My husband and son found out that Elvis and Marylyn Monroe were distantly related thru DNA. Yes these poor souls in purgatory desperately need our mass prayers to help them get to heaven. I pray for them everyday.
I once had a dream of a young woman who came into my bedroom while I was sitting on the floor. In the dream, I started to scream while scooting away from her while still sitting on the floor. She still walked toward me with a sad look on her face. It was very striking that she had red hair. Somehow I realized that she was asking for me to pray for her soul and calmed down. Though she didn't speak in the dream, I then said " Oh!, you want me to pray for you!." I woke up immediately and prayed for her. Many other family always appear for prayers, but this was the first time a total stranger appeared in my dreams for help.
Well - keep praying - more will come - don’t be afraid - they seek your prayers and your charity for them

@@JeOrtiz1 God knows exactly who to send them too - and it might be the case that it was someone from your local area - there are usually good reasons why certain souls are sent to certain people

several months ago my parish Priest came out and blessed my house and did deliverance prayers over myself and my son. He decided to do deliverance due to many reasons from everything I had told him as he came to the conclusion we were both under demonic oppression.
After the Priest blessed my house and did deliverance twice over me and once over my son it has made a massive difference.
In a few days the house felt ‘normal’ there use to be this heavy depressing air in it. I no longer felt like I was constantly being watched and my horrific ‘dreams’ where I was being attacked by something in my room stopped.
I never mentioned it to my son as wanted to see if he noticed and a few days later he said to me that the house finally felt like a home again, he felt he could leave his room at night and not be terrified doing that, he wasn’t seeing people in his room anymore and the black cloaked ‘person’ that sometimes came that also brought an impending sense of doom no longer was appearing.
I wish I spoke to my Priest sooner about it but you try to rationalise things and also don’t want to think everything is the devil because like the exorcists say the devil is everywhere but he isn’t under ever rock and isn’t to blame for everything that happens
I believe the Gregorian Mass (30 consecutive Masses) is the most effective method of relieving souls in purgatory..
I have requested a Mass each day for the month of November for souls who have no one to pray for

You know, l found out that 44 masses takes them out of HELL. It is and orthodox story and is real. I myself 20 ya l remember becoming more attract towards christianity so l had this revelation about conecting two biblical scriptures that results in somthing l hardly remember seconds later. But l had the strong feeling the Hell is not forever, so God removed It imediatly from my brain.
I wasn't able to remember the two scriptures ever again, nore what they REVEALED.

I don’t speak much English, but I saw this video because l have some interest for the souls in purgatory, now I’m praying the daily rosary for my friend pregnancy who has complications and just some times I offer the prayers for the purgatory souls. Watching this testimony make me feel the importance of offering more prayers and make me think in the soul of Robin Williams because I liked to saw his movies since I was little and his dead was sad to me thinking in his soul.

A very long story but I was raised Protestant and God led me into the Catholic Church. Even after coming into the Catholic Church, I was still struggling with the concept of purgatory. God took me through a series of events that convinced me otherwise. This included dreams, my own research and now purgatory souls visiting my home seeking prayer. I go to the cemeteries to pray for the souls while spraying Holy Water on their grave sites and they will reach out to thank me for the prayers. I’ve had former clients that have passed away and they have reached out to me seeking prayer.
Coming from someone that never believed in purgatory, God changed my whole perspective on the subject and it’s very real.
Embrace the teachings and those that have experiences with the purgatory souls. I also have Saints that will reach out to me from time to time through apparitions and messages.
As a Protestant, I had never experienced any of this.

I had a similar dream right after Kobe Bryant died. I believe that the souls are allowed by God to seek our prayers. What the church teaches is that there is no more sin in purgatory. We most definitely need to help the souls that are being purified. Please pray.

There is a prayer that our Lord gave to St Gertrude for the souls in purgatory. I was given it while in a Bible study group and my husband and I pray each time we complete saying the rosary.

It was just a few weeks ago I was thinking n wondering WHERE M.M. and Elvis are now? And thinking to myself that although still beloved by many in the world, doubting that even 1 person was praying for their Souls? Yes I learnt too late in life to pray for all those who have died and gone. But now I pray every moment I think of my relatives friends and especially those who have no one to pray for them. The neglected souls. I pass a cemetery and I pray for every one buried there.
I have music artists and actors written in my prayer intentions notebook. I've been praying especially for Miley Cyrus. I will add Marilyn Monroe to my prayer intentions!

I have been praying for the Holy souls and whenever I wake up in the middle of the night I start praying the Mercy Chaplet, sometimes I don’t finish :( but I try every night. I will now offer it for the Holy Souls and those who are still alive but who seem to be going down the wrong path. Thanks for this testimony it does help us realize how important it is to pray for them. Edit: madona seems especially in need of prayers, she’s not well at all.

This is one of the most uplifting stories I've ever heard. Patricia is literally rescuing souls from a scorching fire. I believe we, the living, should imitate her bravery.

Priests of our FFSP Church explained that because souls in Purgotory do not have any attachments to sin, when we offer a plenary indulgence for their soul (ex:communion, pray the rosary in church and prayers for intentions of the Pope within 20 days of confession) the soul receives the plenary indulgence and goes straight to heaven (even if we had some attachments to venial sin).
Since learning this recently, I’ve offered over 20 plenary indulgences. This very straightforward sure method I feel compelled to do.
I praise and thank the Lord for His kindness and great mercy. Thank you Alvaro and Patricia for making this video. I try my best to pray for souls in purgatory, especially those who I read about in the news who recently passed away. No prayer is wasted with God and if they are already in heaven, God will apply our prayers to other souls who need them. May God bless everyone who reads this message and watches this video.
This is a wonderful tip! To know that even if the person prayed for already "graduated" out of Purgatory the prayers can be applied to a different soul!

I had just asked GOD earlier today to help me really care about the souls in Purgatory and not just pray for them out of some vague sense of duty and guilt and when I saw this video I was truly stunned. Feels like GOD might actually be answering this prayer on the very same day I asked!!! Which would indicate the level of urgency He assigns to this Prayer category😭😭😭

If it is for the greater good, God will answer our prayers at the proper time. 😊 I've had some prayers answered immediately whole others prayers took longer to get answered. But I know and truly believe that God listens to prayers said from the heart.
Wow! I just prayed in my Divine Mercy Chaplet this afternoon for GOD to help me to pray for the souls in Purgatory out of truly and deeply caring about them and not just out of some vague sense of guilt as I usually do😭

Ok, if that's not a sign from GOD I don't know what is. I'm a little spooked to be honest, but maybe this is to show the depth of how desperately GOD cares for these souls. I will start praying for specific celebrities whose deaths have touched me, usually suicides, like Robyn Williams and Naomi Judd and Ms. America Cheslie Kryst who died earlier this year.

The promise Christ made about it releasing 1000 souls was to Saint Gertrude herself so there is no guarantee that it has the same effect when we say it.
HOWEVER that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t say it because Christ can use all prayers how he sees fit and if he deems he may use it to release 1000 souls.
The church has no official position on the merits of Saint Gertrude’s prayer.
While the Saint Gertrude prayer does have ecclesial approval from a Bishop.
The Bishop was only approving the theological soundness of the prayer, not the results of another person, other than St. Gertrude, saying that prayer.
All we can do is leave the efficacy of someone else saying the St. Gertrude prayer up to the Lord.
This is the same for many prayers that have came from private revelations.
In those revelations they would be told the outcome of themselves saying the prayer not how the prayer would work if others later start saying it.
@@irishandscottish1829 TY so much for the detailed response. What I've been doing the last couple of days is asking the holy souls themselves which prayer they would suggest that would be most helpful to them. Meanwhile I just pray for them on the Divine Mercy Chaplet and my regular Rosaries daily.

What you are doing may come close to being classed as occult behaviour because unless God wills it we are unable to communicate with them and you are much more likely to communicate with a demonic entity.
The exorcists that are publicly know say we are never to ask for names or to try to communicate with anyone on the other side because they have seen a lot of possessions that they had to deliver the person because they done such things even thought they had genuine and pure intentions like yourself.
I highly suggest you get some spiritual guidance from your parish Priest before you do that again.
You may need confession because of it
Additionally regarding prayers revealed to people in private revelations - the Catholic Church leaves it up to ourselves whether we believe in the private revelation or not because the revelation was only for that person. There is no rule that we must believe in private revelations

When I was on a retreat many years ago I saw the souls in purgatory when I was in the chapel praying with my husband. It was faces flashing over the altar and at first I thought I was going crazy then I’ll never forget at that moment I heard a booming voice in a very clear voice coming from my stomach saying “these are the souls in purgatory that need your prayers “ I was so shocked by it that I didn’t even tell my husband until the next day! I thought how can I tell anybody they will think that I’m crazy! But I’ll never forget that booming voice feeling like it was coming from my stomach but maybe it was my soul. It was real, the faces were dark like charcoal. Listening to this channel has renewed my fervor for the suffering souls, thank you.
Absolutely delighted I came accross this. I often think k of George Michael who was a kind person, had addictions, wasn't happy, suffered depression, I said prayers for him, now I will get masses said too for him. I feel George needs them but he's lucky he had good family to pray for him also. We do forget, their fame is at their souls expense. They need us to pray for them. I will. For sure. For George. And others too, who have no one to pray for them. Amen

During Mass the day after Anne Heche died, I had the “feeling” of being her, in the burning garage. I felt tremendous heat, “smelled” chemicals burning, felt my breathing constricted, felt trapped in the car and unbearable sheer panic. So I began praying for her, offered the Mass for her and popped into the adoration chapel afterwards to pray some more for her. But the horrific imagery and sensations stayed with me for days, so I kept praying for her. Turns out my sister had very similar thoughts and also prayed profusely for her. Evidence shows that she was actually murdered. She wasn’t burned and was fully alert but I’m thinking God allowed us to have these terrifying thoughts so we’d pray for her. I believe she’s been spared damnation.

Great story on purgatory I pray in my rosary’s especially the saint Gertrude payer rosary every day for the holy souls and I often think it would be neat to have a dream on how my prayers are helping these souls like the lady’s dream was clear and she had no doubt it was true it’s a great grace God has given her
Had cousin who is a good person at heart got caught up in drugs and died young .One day my thoughts of him were strong just all of a sudden while awake during the day when I never really thought about him. I told my mom about this and she said he's reaching out to you to pray for him in purgatory. Around that time I told my sister about this even before speaking to my mom and she said she had the same thoughts about him at around the same time it was wierd but not wierd at the same time. I now pray for him always.

I connected with this story. I was never really in tune with the Great Michael Jackson. However a few years ago for some strange reason I started listening to his music. I started to feel a sorrow in my heart for him. I felt drawn to offer masses for him. But I also stopped myself from doing so because well ....they would think I was crazy.. So I never did 😢

Freddie was a sweetheart. I would definitely feel extremely sad if he didn't make it to heaven. So I prayed for his soul so Jesus would save him. I know that he passed away almost 30 years ago, here on earth, but time is different in the spirit world.

How serendipitous to have found this video interview. I too have been curiously compelled and mentally bombarded to pray for a particular celebrity whenever I picked up the rosary to pray for myself, family and friends. This happened over 20 years ago but then I figured they probably had no one to pray for them despite their fame.

I saw her in a dream, also. She stumbled out of a casket in front of our church - she didn't know she was dead - she had marks of discoloration on her, as if decay - it was disturbing, however she was in front of the church which seemed hopeful.

This was a great interview and a beautiful reminder of God’s mercy. It reminds me of the scripture 2 Peter 3:9 of how God is so long suffering with us not wanting anyone to perish but wanting all to come to repentance. Our duty as Christians is to pray. God will take care of the judging part. I’m thankful for programs like your’s. I was never taught about purgatory until within the last two years as I’ve been on a journey searching out church history. This makes me want to pray more diligently for these precious souls though. Honestly, it gives me hope for those that’s passed on before me.

Since the passing of my father I have a strong call to pray for the souls in Purgatory. It was the greatest pain of my life, I panicked with the idea that he could be still in pain and I prayed night and day for him. There was a physical oppression on my chest for years, like a heavy and serious responsibility. Until one day I woke up feeling an intense relief and there wasn't a need to pray for him anymore, at least not with the same intensity. Since then I pray daily for the Holy Souls and took it as my mission in life. When I mention that to other Catholics, the majority look at me in disbelief, many mock me and others get offended with the idea that a dead relative is not in Heaven. When I say we don't have how to know if someone is or not in Heaven, I'm even attacked sometimes. I still pray for them all. I ask God to direct my prayers to those forgotten, who are the longest in Purgatory, the religious souls and those who were not Catholic in life and don't have anyone to pray for them. I also pray for my ancestors.

I've never had such a dream but one time as I was running Saturday errands, the idea came to me that I needed to pray for Stevie Nicks. I mean it hit me like a ton of bricks in my face. To my knowledge Stevie Nicks is still alive and there have always been rumors about her practicing witch craft so honestly, she's not someone for whom I had ever thought to pray. I said a quick prayer for her that day but I haven't made it a habit to continue to pray for her. This interview is making me think that maybe I should take that thought to pray for her more seriously. I'm just stunned by this amazing story.

I began a 54 day novena on November 1 to December 24 for souls in Purgatory; that 1st night I dreamt of an Administrator - a religious Sister I hadn’t thought of in years. I asked if I could hug her and those around her said ‘no’ - I said it’s no longer ‘cov’ so I made the attempt and it appeared as if she ‘fainted’. I continue to pray for her soul and I’ve added Marilyn M to my list.

God is soooooo Merciful..Recently, I've been more aware of the "calling" as I believe we all are, to help the Holy Souls in purgatory. Masses, of course, being the most important and "Best" way to help them. As St. Faustina of the Divine Mercy said, that Jesus spoke to her on this. to the effect that, when we pray and sacrifice for the Holy Souls and "they" are released, from their prison, Jesus is most grateful Imagine that, we are comforting the Lord, too.Just one thing. re:: Father Groeschel, he once said he was concerned that when he died, people would assume he would be already in Heaven and would not pray for his soul ( not that he believed he was so good. but others did). We should pray for all, knowing that if the soul is already in Heaven, the prayers will be applied to another.
I am a so glad I encountered your channel. I have entrusted my sainthood to the souls in purgatory because I know their intercession is powerful and I hope my intercession is powerful enough to release them as Triumph saints which by God's grace I will also one day be. God bless you!
