I love The Pieta book, my mother gave me one years ago, and I have replaced it 2times since then. At the front of the (it's a small blue paper book) it's says the church gave us these indulgenced prayers to help us in our way to holiness. I read in it every day. There's a daily reading and several more to do every day, most are indulgenced. There's a 1- year St Bridget 15 prayers of the cross its, very, very good. I would be in church after Mass the only one in there and go before the Eucharist and say it. One day I was saying the prayers and to my left I felt a strong presence, I guessed it to be Our Lord. I was a little scared, but I told Our Lord I had about 6 weeks to go to finish the 1-year prayers. (it's about the crucifixion). I wanted to give Him something. So, I told Our Lord I would say 2xs a week the 6 weeks I had left with deep devotion for Him. It took me 4 months to do it and I felt like he put His hand up and said you're done! The Catholic Church has millions of prayers given to Saints by Jesus or the Blessed Mother, to help us in our path to holiness. Grow in Holiness, God bless you

I say this as well but I don't know if there are any indulgences attached to it. I just started adding it to my Morning Offering and Prayers about a week or two ago.
Thank you for these wonderful videos. The Diary of Saint Faustina was one of those books that changed my life. You make me want to go read it again. Thank you Alvaro. I’m so grateful for these videos
The Catholic faithful may also obtain a partial indulgence, who 1) "while performing their duties and enduring the difficulties of life, raise their minds in humble trust to God and make, at least mentally, some pious invocation" (can be any invocation whatsoever) 2) "devote themselves or their goods in compassionate service to their brothers and sisters in need." and 3) "in a spirit of penance, voluntarily abstain from something which is licit for and pleasing to them." Anytime we do any of these 3 things we may gain partial indulgences from the Church for the souls in purgatory!!!! provided we have that general intention (of gaining the indulgence) when ever we do all these acts.

I have a book of Indulgenced prayers from before the Council, are those prayers still valid for gaining Indulgences? Did the Church completely eliminate prayers that have days and years Indulgences. I find that it is, a matter of importance that today most know nothing of indulgences, not even purgatory. We were not taught many Truths of our faith or practically nothing.
That is a great question - let me see what I can find - in the meantime - I would imagine that if you present those to Jesus with faith - He will honor them
I only learned about indulgences and temporal sin 2-3 years and I just turned 60. I too grew up in a very watered down Catholic faith and I started getting an interest in finally learning and understanding our faith sometime around 2019.
Had an interesting dream last night. I was in the residence of Rod Stewart, and he was getting ready to go out. He didn't sense my presence. He wore a hot pink colored jumpsuit, and put over it a short white fur jacket. I watched him go down the stairs to go outside. From the window, I watched him cross the street, go around a corner, and then enter a car that had been waiting for him. Then the dream ended. When I woke up, I was wondering if the dream meant anything, and thought maybe Rod Stewart had died. But looked on the internet, and he's still alive.
I am not always so good at performing the corporal works of mercy like feeding and clothing the sick and poor. Will praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory prevent me from being condemned by Jesus on the Last Day?
Peter is miraculously released from prison twice in the book of Acts. In considering this story as Christians, we must be careful and take its description of the religious authorities with some reservation, remembering that it was composed in the context of Jewish-Gentile schisms in the first century. The New Testament’s villainization of Jewish leaders has had violent consequences throughout Christian history. The point here is not to condemn the high priest or the Sadducees, or to draw an exact parallel between the prison Peter was in and our modern prison-industrial complex - but instead to recognize God's liberating action within the story. The liberating work of God makes Peter’s story resonate with contemporary abolitionist efforts.
@@UniquelyMaryi so love Father Jim. what could this mean sir Alvaro? that he has been silenced? yea suddenly nothing would be heard of him. so he is still not actively preaching esply on social media?
There is a partial indulgence, yes. “A partial indulgence is granted to the Christian faithful who devoutly sign themselves with the cross while saying the customary formula: ‘In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.’ “ God bless.
Please help clarify for me: The part I am stuck on with indulgences is that we need to be entirely free from any attachment to sin. Doesn't this mean only the holiest of persons can earn them? I haven't any problem with this, but why is this so often discussed if so few are in a position to earn them? Am I misunderstanding? Thank you.
You are correct - as rare as a full scholarship is a plenary indulgence - but we try in the hopes of obtaining it - that’s why partial indulgences (which have less requirements) are so crucial
We all need to seek in becoming saints. That is all of our mission while we live this earth life. There fore in this striving every day to achieve holiness, we can pray these beautiful prayers and ask Jesus to accept them in his unfathomable Mercy. God knows we are sinners. When we ungrateful, miserable sinner pray with a contrite heart for others living and deceased. Well God will take our imperfect prayers and grant our request through His infinite Mericiful, love. You see we can do all things in Jesus Christ. We must stay the course, with Him and in Him, and Trust in His Great Mercy. This is why we should pray unceasingly.
@@PatriciaCastaneda-us1mv indulgences can be offered for oneself OR the holy souls in purgatory (some indulgences are only for the souls in purgatory, such as the Requiem Aeternam). But you are correct that indulgences cannot be offered to other living persons.

My grand daughter's daily missel has a pray plenary indulgence it states after a low mass say 3 hail holy queen prayers. You will gain 17 years plenary indulgences. Or u can give to Mary to distribute, for others.
That is a great question - let me see what I can find - in the meantime - I would imagine that if you present those to Jesus with faith - He will honor them
@@UniquelyMary Thank you for responding to my question.
Can we say St Brigid and 1000 souls be released to heaven
I'll send it in an email to you Alvaro. How are u doing? I haven't heard from you. Did you connect with Fr Jim
I never got a chance to connect with him and now I think he has been silenced by his bishop unfortunately
@@UniquelyMaryi so love Father Jim. what could this mean sir Alvaro? that he has been silenced? yea suddenly nothing would be heard of him. so he is still not actively preaching esply on social media?

What are Indulgence prayers. List of prayers.
Is there an indulgence for the sign of the cross
There might be - I might need to publish a full list
There is a partial indulgence, yes.
“A partial indulgence is granted to the Christian faithful who devoutly sign themselves with the cross while saying the customary formula: ‘In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.’ “
God bless.
Forgot to add my source: The handbook of Indulgences: Norms and Grants. Authorized English Edition, Catholic Book Publishing Corp.
Love these videos and the way you explain everything just makes me want to know and see more ! God bless you 🙏
Hope your watching living waters

Can I pray for the holy souls in purgatory if I'm not in the state of grace? Or do I need to be in the state of grace for my prayers to be effective?
Get to confession asap and always pray pray pray
Ooops ask the souls to pray for the reparation of sins of the world i meant to say.
Can you give your indulgences for the healing or conversion of another person?
You can only offer indulgences up for the holy souls in purgatory.
@@PatriciaCastaneda-us1mv indulgences can be offered for oneself OR the holy souls in purgatory (some indulgences are only for the souls in purgatory, such as the Requiem Aeternam).
But you are correct that indulgences cannot be offered to other living persons.
@@PatriciaCastaneda-us1mv thanks

Hey just a heads up don't use AI images to represent the faith it's not of God. Thanks.
A lot of evil people who have committed crimes and got away with it think they are free ‘ but the next world have a prison that’s waiting for them ‘ hopefully it’s not the prison of Hell
Many decent people go to hell unfortunately. I always thought only ax murderers go there and the likes but those people who are indifferent to Jesus go too, never pray or make sacrifices. We.must pray daily for these souls....Jesus Mary Joseph I love you save souls. This prayer saves a soul from hell. I am trying to say it 100x a day.
@@Jcr2446 yes you’re correct, we can never be complacent, and think the worst of the worst just go there, and that’s a powerful prayer you mentioned ‘ I have to start saying it , I say other ones similar to that
Quit following Fuastina she is nit like other Saints and never will be
