Decades ago, my Grandmother came to me in a dream, she was not in purgatory. She was in Heaven. I asked her many questions & she answered them all & I was amazed! I also asked her who else was in Heaven? However, I was only allowed to remember this much: my Grandmother told me how long she was in purgatory, but I was only allowed to remember the number ‘2’. I asked her, 2 seconds, 2 minutes, 2 hours, 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years, 2 decades. I could only surmise 2 decades since her death. She was a devout Catholic, but often depressed.
She also told me over & over & could not emphasize enough that, “Very few people go straight to Heaven”. The only people that she told me went straight to Heaven were three & their names were all, John. It was made known to me that they were all infants who died in their mother’s womb. I knew who the first two babies were, 2 friends who miscarried & both babies were named John, after their fathers but, I never knew who the third baby was.
Several years later, our third baby died in my womb in the 2nd trimester due to a tri-chromosome disorder. We were devastated. When we prayed for God to give us his name, we opened our Bible to read scripture & the Lord pointed us to Luke 1:1-13:
When he saw the angel, he was terrified. But the angel said, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will name him John” (Luke 1:13).
And so, we named him John Paul. Shortly after that in a totally unrelated conversation, I shared the dream of my Grandmother for the first time with a friend, I told him that I knew who the first two babies were but, not the third.
My friend pointed out to me that the third baby was my own son, John Paul. It never occurred to me before he said it, but after he said it I knew in my heart it was true❤
May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace & may perpetual light shine upon them. Amen✝️🙏

if your greatgrandmother was a devout catholic and spent 20 years in purgatory ?.then how long will we spend in purgatory we who struggle with faith. provided we make it out of hell. i m not sure I will it's so scary.

Hello I've never left a comment before but after looking at this video I felt compelled to tell this story my mother passed away at the age of 86 about 13 years ago sometime in 2022 I started seeing her face show up in a picture which is not of her that is hanging in my bedroom wall I have seen her face there for at least five or six months she's not bathed in light she doesn't look like she's super happy she looks like she's suffering somewhat I'm getting the impression that she's in purgatory and needs prayer this is never happened in my life so I am starting to offer masses for her and increasing my prayers for her
That should do it! Especially offering the Holy mass for her
You can offer Rosaries
When you go to visit her grave, take your time and say a Rosary right there. Also bring some Holy Water and sprinkle it upon her grave (and on others as well). It is said to quench their tongues in Purgatory.

My mother died Feb 11 2002. Before she died, I had made a mental promise to offer a 9 day Novena to the Miraculous Medal for her. Family came pouring in, and I had forgotten about it. At her funeral, a pebble seemed to drop out of the ceiling at my feet while I was talking to her best friend. After 4 weeks off from work to care for her with hospice at home, I had to go back to work. On the night before I was to work, at 3am, I was awoken by my mother's voice calling my name. At the sound of her voice, I immediately realized she was young again - about 30 yrs old. But I heard a harsh growling in the background. Sounded like a demon. Her voice was gentle but urgent. After a while I had to go back to sleep. When I was walking out the front door I saw a very shiny Miraculous Medal lying in the doorstep, right in front of me! I instantly remembered my promise to her. So I made that Novena, I never heard from her again.

Can you explain how to pray the Novena to the Miraculous Medal?? Is that a regular Rosary that you tell our Lady that it’s for your mom ?? Or a special prayer that you said for 9 days?? Help me please.
@@claudettemonty4077 its a booklet you can order from the Association of the Miraculous Medal 215 Chelten Ave Germantown Pa. Our church in Florida held an actual on site Novena using the booklet, and the deacon reading it and blessing the medals. You can order the medals from the Association.

My Dad just passed away 3 weeks ago, and I wanted to do everything I could to help him before and after he died. I had the Priest say the Apostolic Pardon and prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet while he was dying in Hospice. The night before he passed after getting the Apostolic Pardon, I whispered in his ear, "I did everything I could for you, Dad, to help get you ready to go. It's ok. I love you so much and am going to miss you, but it's ok". I got a call at 3:07 a.m. from the nurse that he passed at 3 a.m. Divine Mercy hour!!!
I took this as a signal grace!!! I also just requested Gregorian Masses for him through the Divine Mercy Shrine in Massachusetts. I will continue to pray for him and all my loved ones that passed 🙏 😢

Saints of God, come to his aid, Come to meet him angels of the Lord. Receive his soul and present him to God the Most High...oh lord we commend the soul of our brother who has passed away, may he live on in Your presence. In Your mercy and love, forgive whatever sins he may have committed through human weakness. Eternal father look with pity on the soul of Your servant in baptism he died with Christ wipe away his tears and remember not his faults or transgressions but pardon him of any wrong doing he committed and wipe away his iniquities and cleanse him from his sins. Send your angels to take him by the hand and deliver him into Your heavenly Kingdom of paradise where his tears will be turned into joy and where he will see You our God as You are. Console his family and friends and bless them with the joy of knowing that his soul is now at peace and resting in your arms. We ask this with faith in Your son our lord Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit world without end. Amen †

I totally forgot about this, when I watch this video it reminds me about the souls in purgatory. When I had my c section the hospital didn't gave me enough pain killer, I was in so much pain. I hear my Guardian Angel said "Offered the pain to God for the Holy souls in purgatory." So I offered it to God, the pain become so intense then before, I even kicked the ralling of the bed it bend to the left because I was in so much pain and I bleeding a lot. Then I hear people lined up on my feet, saying "thank you christina, we will never forget this, we will never forget your sacrifice. We will help you when you needed help. We're no longer like humans on earth who always take you for granted." Then I saw them flying, one by one then it became so many, it looks like birds flying from my back yard, then I saw our Lady waiting from them on a huge Golden Gate. And my Guardian Angel holding my hand. I was alone in that isolation covid room. Then I pass out.

Thank you. I am a disabled person with a lot of pain daily and when it’s strong, I always offer my pain to Jesus for the sinners. But with your note, now, I will offer my pains to God for the souls in Purgatory and my husband too!

Another experience I had - in 2010 I was a liturgical pianist for a Catholic church. One Saturday I had to play for the funeral of a woman who I was told was murdered by her boyfriend. The next day, Sunday, I entered the church break room to have coffee before mass. I heard a sorrowful moaning sound to my left. I instantly got the impression of a woman holding her head in pain. The moan occurred again when a group of us were in the break room. Everyone froze. The next Wednesday at choir practice I was alone in the ladies room when the automatic towel dispenser kept activating by itself. That following Saturday I was in the music room getting music, and consistant banging on the metal cabinets started to occur. I then realized that it must be this woman who I had played her funeral for. I immediately went to the Pastor and told him all. He was not surprised- he told me that she had been suddenly shot in the head and died instantly. He said masses and prayers for her soul - and I never heard from her again.
Okay - this is another very shareworthy experience

My Purgatory Story is titled "How my deceased, Protestant, ex-husband led me back to the Catholic Church". I was born a cradle Catholic - fell away from the church when my mother died when I was young. When I got married he use to talk very bad about the Catholic faith. I knew what he was saying about the Church was not right but I didn't know how to defend the teachings. Among many other issues, we divorced after 5 years of marriage in 1994. We have a beautiful daughter together. In 2010, he passed away from pancreatic cancer. He came to me in a dream the day we buried him. In the dream, we were on a train like we were taking him to a place. It was dark, pitch black, all around except for inside the train cart. He was at the front, sitting down, looking straight ahead. He was solemn and quiet and not saying a word. I was sitting in the back not saying a word. Everything was quiet. He gets up and walks to me and says "Mary I loved you the best way I could. I realize I didn't give you the kind of love you needed and I'm sorry. But you need to allow yourself to be loved". Now I didn't know it at the time but he was on his way to purgatory. I didn't know much about my Catholic faith.........For the next 7 years after much searching for "what is truth and what is love" and through dreams of him leading me, I finally understood the Catholic church was the true church. I finally understood that unconditional love. It was at that time, it seemed like God opened up heaven and enveloped me with His warm, peaceful embrace and set my heart enflamed with that burning love in 2017. And I still hunger to know more, to learn more, and to love more. He never came to me in my dreams any longer until almost 2 years later. I was dreaming one night and he interrupted my dream. He flung opened a door as if he was coming out with a big huge smile and said "I finally made it". Through those years I understood he was going to Purgatory in that first dream and the last dream he finally made it home. Your RUclips channel has helped me come to a much deeper understanding. The father allowed me to attend mass in a different church and at the back i found a funeral sheet for a 25 year old girl who committed suicide. I'm sure i was guided by our Blessed Lady for the poor soul as I'm consecrated to Mary and they know i have a devotion to the holy souls and i mention people by name every day. When I had my reversion to the Catholic faith, I was drawn to pray the St. Gertrude prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory which releases 1000 souls every time it is prayed. I had previously been healed of many years of anxiety by Jesus. We had moved to a new home and my anxiety returned. On Christmas Eve morning, I woke up filled with anxiety and a prayer came to me (not from me) ...if any of the Holy Souls have benefited from me praying the St Gertrude prayer please pray for me now. The response was immediate...a white tube of light started at the top of my head and traveled down the length of my body and relieved my anxiety as it passed by. I learned that as we pray for the Holy Souls can pray and help us as well. All Glory to God!

My dad passed away in 2003. It was very devastating for all of us especially for my mom. My dad was devoted to Mary and always prayed the rosary as a family. My dad didn't have any illnesses. It was just his time. A few months later I had a dream about him in purgatory. I saw my dad with thousands of people all dressed in white except my dad, he was dressed in a light blue color. The ones who were dressed in white they were happy and singing and carrying around a statue of Mary. My dad was not celebrating with them, he just looked up at me, he wasn't suffering or anything like that, he just seemed sad. From what I understood, it wasn't told to me directly but I just knew, that this place is purgatory and all these souls were all waiting for Mary to come down and take them to heaven. Side note, It would have been awesome if I saw our Lady. I was told by a family friend that my dad is ready to go to heaven but something here on earth is holding him back, it was my mom, she wasn't ready to let him go. We told our mom and eventually she was able to let him go. Not sure how long after, an aunty of mine had a dream about my dad, she saw him and my little sister (who died as an infant) holding hands, walking away into a bright light and they were both white as white can be. Thank you.

If you really trusted Jesus, you would not be praying for deceased people. Once you die that is it, you can not be prayed for.
I don't just believe in life after death, I've known it since I saw my deceased grandmother as a "ghost" several times at the age of 6. I was wide awake, they were not dreams. I have been praying for the souls of the deceased ever since. They need our help, our prayers. And they are also there for us, they are very grateful and also pray for us. Please, pray for the souls in purgatory.

Praying for souls in purgatory is the most important thing we can do. Most of us we will be there soon enough. Then who's going to pray for us? Well, praying for poor souls is what God wants most from us. These souls will then pray for us from heaven thanking us from heaven for our prayers.
We had a similar situation in our family. My grandmother's soul would trouble my mother appearing in her dream and she would roll her tongue and speak a loud in some gibberrish language and we would wake up and she would say that she saw her mother-in-law's soul. However, one day after we heard a powerful teaching on Praise & Worship and how God dwells in the Praises of His people and when He comes there has to be Healing and Deliverance. Just one Praise & Worship in that house and she left the place and how we got to know was my mum herself admitted that now those dreams have stopped. Infact, when we started the Praise & Worship that day, glasses that were kept upturned for many good years just fell and this was another sign that the spirit left that home of ours.

My son graduated from USMA 12 years ago. I told my son I would have Masses said for the Suffering Souls in Purgatory, every week. I told my son that he would never go to war or kill. Twelve years later, my words hold true. My son works very hard to keep our nation safe. He has never even stepped foot in a war zone.
I have found their help to be as you say - incredible - their prayers have protected me so much - many saints really recommend for us to entrust ourselves to their prayers
My husband had a dream that his brother, who passed away decades ago as a young adult, came to him. His brother was wearing sack cloth and had ashes on his head. It was foggy. My husband was looking down on his brother from above. This dream moved my husband to tears. I had just started praying the rosary and knew the symbolism. I pray daily for souls in purgatory.

I had a vision of a person I knew shortly after he passed wearing a cloak with a pointy hood made of horse hair. He was a protestant and free mason. Shortly before he died of a terminal illness I gave him a book about Medjugorje. He believed it and I prayed the rosary with him. I felt God was telling me that he was saved by the bell but that he needed much prayer. Like yourself I understood the symbolism.

She sent a message to muslims who heard the MESSAGE to stay strong until the tests of the earth are over that they may inherit ever Lasting life in Heavenlies.
Even a leader of the county of Taigo who was in hell asked that man to release a message for his country that he loves them and must they repent and come to THE SON OF GOD YAHUSHA and described how selfish he was to THE GREAT ONE and even that he didn't allow Christianity on his country rather he left them with money to increase corruption instead of leaving them GOD'S remembrance the BIBLE OF TRUTH.

When going to town we passed a cross where a girl was killed in a car accident. When we passed the cross always prayed for her . All of a sudden in my head w what about me and it got louder. WHAT ABOUT ME. NOW WHEN I PASS A CEMEYERY i always pray for the poor souls

In June of 2018, I had a vivid dream of standing in line for Confession. There were three priests hearing confessions. When I got closer, the one priest waved to me to come to his confessional. As I got close, one of the other priests looked at me and said "I work with the poor." I knelt down and the priest told me his name, then spoke to me for a bit. After the confession was over, I woke up. It was about 2am. But the priest's face and name were clear in my head. I had never heard of this priest before. So, I googled his name out of curiosity. The first hit was an obituary from 2010 and to my surprise the picture on the obituary was the exact same priest I had just seen. His obituary explained that he was a Jesuit from Texas who had a deep love for the poor and immigrant.
Be aware of everything and except God for it all
Two experiences of recent date. A very vivid dream last year about a woman I knew but was not close friends with--she was a Catholic and a very passionate Catholic for the poor. But she was firmly in favor of abortion. She and I had a long conversation about this. She was respectful of my convictions but held fast to her support for abortion.years went by. She died of cancer. Just last year I had this extremely vivid dream. I had her passport in my hand and it was filled with scribbled notes that said "why don't you answer? I keep calling and calling." "Where are you? You've got to help me." Upon waking i realized this was a cry from Purgatory. I had a Mass said and began to pray St Gertrude's prayer for her.

She must have had the very rare Grace of a last-minute, deathbed repentance and conversion to the Catholic faith, because she lived her life in a deep state of mortal sin and was actually separated from the Church by her heresy. She was not a member of the mystical body of Christ but an enemy inside the Church. What I have just stated is a factual explanation of the true, authentic teaching of the Church, which in the past never minced words, nor failed to call a spade a spade. Evil is evil, and what I said about her is just fact.
Your story is surprising. It's surprising that she would receive such a rare deathbed Grace, because saints, as well as modern priests who administer Last Rites or attend deathbeds, tell us that people tend to die the way they lived, which means that obstinately heretics like your friend tend to remain that way to the end.
So, part of me is always glad to hear that somebody escaped hell, but another part of me is disgusted by stories like this, because it makes a complete and utter joke of the Catholic faith. Doctrines and dogmas and Commandments become nothing more than polite suggestions and optional beliefs that are nice if you comply with but that there are no real consequences for violating. When you hear stories about people just getting off like this, it really makes you question the faith and makes you less inclined to take it seriously.
I'm going to choose to believe that your story is not true, and that you sometimes just have a really vivid imagination. Because otherwise the Catholic faith is a total joke.
Lily, I think the “either or” that you draw isn’t accurate - at all actually - it’s essentially this “if people who live in a state of mortal sin their whole lives Can escape Hell at the last moment, then the Catholic faith is a joke” - do you see how this simply is not true and skewed way to see reality - it’s literally the way the older son in the story of Prodigal son thinks -
We don’t live the Catholic faith just to escape hell…wishing the whole time we could sin because “oh that would be so much easier…I want to sin so bad but I won’t because I’ll go to Hell”
Living the Catholic faith and living a life of Holiness is the greatest privilege and gift we could get - even if every mortal sinner got into Heaven - I still wouldn’t sin - I’ve lived that life and it’s a terrible existence - do you think people who aren’t living in the truth are happy? They’re miserable - they’re not at peace - their lives are terrible - it’s a punishment in a of itself to be in sin - but often people on the other side (older brothers) think the younger brother is having so much fun and are resentful of their strict life -
Don’t be like that - rise above that shallow way of seeing life - listen to what the father tells the older son “My son, you are always with me and everything I have is yours - but your brother who was lost is not found - so we must celebrate” -
We aren’t Catholic to keep people out of Heaven - but to make it possible to get in - so if someone gets into Heaven or escapes Hell who isn’t catholic - and we are sad about it - there is something seriously wrong about how we understand what it means to be Catholic -

The souls in Purgatory desperately need our prayers, sacrifices, and perpetual enrollments in prayer societies. My Father and Mother visited me in a dream as if coming to dinner at my house. There was a large picture window near my door. It was completely dark and Dad pointed to it and asked if I saw the pale white figures slowly walking back and forth in the dark. I did and he said they are souls in Purgatory needing our prayers to be released. My parents, brother, and my oldest son are among them. My aunt Marie visited me in a dream when I was depressed , singing "Come on get happy, we're going to the Promised Land". She appeared younger and sang. I never heard her sing before. My second son saw the ghost of a Revolutionary soldier in a room of the old farmhouse I grew up in near Valley Forge PA . There had been disturbances in this room for months. My mother and sister in law and myself and children prayed for his soul, as my Irish grandmother taught us when we see a ghost or dream of our departed beloveds. He never returned. I have many stories like this. Through our prayers and the love and mercy of Jesus, souls are delivered!
Shortly after my deceased father in law passed . I was awoken with what sounded like his voice calling my name ! I knew he needed more 🙏s and masses
About a year ago I was drawn to begin praying for the holy souls in purgatory after reading about the purgatory museum in Rome. I’ve always prayed for family and friends who passed away, but wondered about the souls that have been forgotten. This led me to arranging for a year of masses at my local church. Great video! I walk around sometimes on the main street of my neighborhood and occasionally see aparations of homeless men. Twice I've seen it. It scares me. See it out of the corner of my eye, I glance again and I don't see them anymore.
My Dad died in the year 1990 and after the novena rosary of his death I asked myself where does the soul of my father go then I started hearing the audiobooks of Maria Simma and looking up the life of Saints :
St Maria Faustina Kowalska and their testimonies of the souls in purgatory. I do believe and pray for them. In my heart I want all the souls to go to heaven but every sin has a time to wait in that graceful place.

I often think of "the poor souls" when I consider how few of them are Catholics with relatives to pray for them!
I also had very bad dreams about my father for years (he died in 1981, I thought he was a good man, he just did not go to mass at all and had some problem with gambling from what I remember). From those dreams that I had of him I thought he was so close to the bottom of purgatory so I started praying the Rosary for the repose of my father's soul. If I stop praying the Rosary for the repose of my father's soul, I start dreaming of him again, not as bad as the previous but it still made me feel sad. Last year or in 2020, the last dream I had of my father was he was wearing white top and bottom. Now, if I do not pray the Rosary for my father, I do not dream of him anymore but I still pray my Rosaries everyday as much as possible for people also that suddenly shows up in my dreams..
My friend’s older sister (at the time fallen away catholic) saw her deceased mom sitting in her white wing back in her living room, clear as day. Just kind of staring off in the distance. She wasn’t sure what to do with it. She hesitated to tell anyone. She finally told her husband & was like you are not going to believe this & it sounds crazy but I saw my mom he answered I saw your dad (long deceased) in that same spot 3 weeks ago! The younger sister called me & I said to have Gregorian Masses said & they never heard another peep. Since then I heard a Fr. Chad Ripperger talk that said the staring off in the distance thing is kind of common for souls from purgatory.

It is lovely testimony, I like to tell something beautiful. This happened few years ago. My husband and I were member of a perpetual adoration for 20 yrs in my husband hometown in rural Ireland. Our hour were 2 to 4 am in the morning ( 2 hrs ). So one morning we decided to dedicated that hours to help the holy souls in purgatory. Around 3 am, we saw ray of light around The Bls Sacrament in the monstrance, and come out of nowhere a lot of sparks of light flying slowly almost floating enter into the host in the monstrance, it was a beautiful sight. I said to my husband that must be the Holy souls from purgatory entering Heaven. The feeling of joy was awesome.

my great uncle was in purgatory. He appeared to her during a rosary or a divine mercy chaplet. He said at the time "Kati pray for me". His voice was rasped and painful. My mother kept on praying for him for a very long time and one day she learned that he is now in Heaven.
One time my mother was praying for a good friend that passed. She came to her and said "It is okay, I am in Heaven!"
Purgatory is very real.
A few years ago on a Friday morning, I was spiritually aware of someone having just died. I didn't know who, but it was clear that I should pray for the unknown person. I initially suspected a close family member who seemed the most likely, but we talked on the phone later that day. I went to bed that evening without knowing who died. The next morning, I attended a Saturday morning Mass. Upon arriving home, I saw something online that made it clear who had died the prior morning. It was someone I would best identify as my childhood's mortal enemy. Note that I didn't consider him my enemy by the time we graduated high school.
I prayed a great deal for him. It seemed very clear to me that he was in Purgatory. One of many reasons to reach the conclusion is that I was aware of his death, and felt the urgent need to pray for him. If someone is destined for hell, prayers would do no good. If someone is destined for immediate entry into heaven, prayers would not be urgently needed. Only Purgatory made sense. I later heard that I wasn't the only person who had something suggesting he was in Purgatory.
A few days or very few weeks later, I was at a friend's house and they had some time for prayer in a group setting. I prayed for him. In the midst of the prayer, I finally accepted what I initially felt at the time of the death--it seemed I should be present in the throne room, although It didn't seem like a place for someone who was still alive. I think that led to a veiled presence, such that I just saw mostly whiteness around me. There was a vertical column that had an unusual, fairly dynamic surface, and it felt like the recently deceased person was inside. If that was the boundary of his Purgatory, I was unwilling to touch it, much less breach it.
But it seemed that I could communicate to him--I felt I just knew it without thinking about it or having evidence of it. It was at this time that I first shared what I hadn't really thought through myself, but this seemed like something he needed to know. Purgatory and Confession are very similar. If you hold onto sin in Confession, it really doesn't help. Likewise in Purgatory, don't hold onto sin. Let God remove the sin. If you get in the way, it just takes longer and hurts more. (I have since heard on the Divine Mercy channel that God goes after the sin, and thus if one holds onto it, then God's wrath that is aimed at the sin ends up striking you. This went nicely with what was in my mind at this time.) So just as we should confess by airing our sin freely to God, in Purgatory, any area of sin should be exposed to God, rather than held back. If there is pain, let God finish the purging, rather than prolonging it. If a parent tries to pull out a thorn and you pull away at the wrong moment, it just delays the relief. I had never thought about how to get through Purgatory more easily/quickly, since most people focus on how to avoid it in the first place, and others deny that it exists. So this lesson intrigued me, especially since it felt like something God wanted him to know, yet I was to be the messenger.
Oh, early on, I used the opportunity to step through every wrong I could recall between us. But I concluded with forgiveness, holding none of it against him. Usually, humans [in time] can forgive but still remember in detail the wrongs one committed against them or the negative effects they may have had on one's own life. Perhaps it was due to the place where this forgiveness was happening that I can honestly say that I can't recall even one detail of those wrongs, now. I know the general effect they had on me, because it played a major part in making me who I am. But if someone offered me $1 million to list even one thing he did to me that led me to think of him as my mortal enemy, I wouldn't claim the money. For one, I probably wouldn't come up with the answer. At best, maybe it could be possible if I thought really hard about it. But the thing about sin is that when absolved or forgiven, there is no gain to trying to take in the evil/negatives. So I doubt I'd even want to do whatever it might take to have even a chance of recalling such details.
I would go to Israel on pilgrimage in 2020, just before everything shut down. I prayed for him at every site we visited. I know God tells us to pray for our enemies, but I never imagined just how much I would pray for someone that I once considered my worst enemy. May he already experience eternal heaven.
I was awakened by a vision of bodies in an ice grave in frozen ground reaching up to me pleading “release us, free us”-I had the knowing it was a gulag, and they were in purgatory wishing to be liberated although I knew nothing of purgatory or gulags. This was 21yrs ago but as clear as yesterday, I now pray for souls in purgatory daily, we are obliged to help them as they can help us-we are all connected in God’s Kingdom.🙏✝️

I had the Gregorian Masses said for each of my deceased family members. It's a Novena of 30 Masses.
A few years ago, I decided to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet novena on the first 9 days of the month. During the remaining days, I would pray for deceased members of my family by name. So that I would not forget anyone, I started writing a list and placing these people in alphabetical order. My mind inundated with the names of people I had long forgotten. I can only conclude that these were the souls in purgatory asking me to pray for them. There were so many asking to be remembered that I dedicate a decade of the Divine Mercy chaplet for 5 to 6 souls at a time each day.. Every so often, another deceased person comes to my mind, and I add them to my prayer list. I am up to 12 decades per day. Of course, I always include all the Holy Souls since I can not know them all. May these souls rest in peace. Amen.
Pray the St. Gertrude Prayer every day after your Rosary, set a reminder to pray this beautiful prayer every day. When you drive by a cemetery, pray a Pater Noster for them. God bless you both. Thank you Alvaro, Thank you Patricia.

Here in Cleveland, Ohio I have for the past five years planted daffodils, hyacinths and crocuses at my family graves of grandparents, parents and two aunts and uncles. Every time the flowers for my one aunt and uncle who were alcoholics and (fighting Irish) none of the flowers ever grew whereas the flowers did bloom on everyone else's graves. So earlier this month I had a mass dedicated for all those souls that are in Purgatory.

I'm in an outer waiting room in life where I am confined to my apartment and live a very reclusive life. I say many rosaries, St. Gertrude's Prayer. Chaplet, Memorair but, literally, it is so clear to me that I am still am not entirely accepted back into the church after leaving for many years, becoming a devotee of a guru and, probably, taking many souls with me. I've been to so many countless confessions but I feel so aware that I am living out purgatory on earth. I sit in pews in church and no one will sit with me. I accept it and I understand the significance of it and bless the decisions of others. This process has been enduring since 2006 without the desired breakthrough. I'm grateful to God for the patience he has provided me but I would love some additional understanding. Thank you for a wonderful video!!!!

Prayer sent for you Sally. I work from home and lead a reclusive life. I'm a sinner trying to get back into my Catholic faith. Once we confess our sins, I believe it's important to let them go. It's a blessing and a curse to be reclusive. I pray a lot, but it's also very lonely. God bless you!
@Arneth D I was reclusive for a significant part of my adult life. Go back to church. God healed me and allowed me to feel love and to love others that I used to avoid. Isolation is one of the devils tactics. Community helps us when we're struggling. Feel blessed to be able to pray rosaries at church with very devout people. Im my weakness, all I have to do is show up, and I receive the graces from praying with others. Ask God to show you His love and go back to His mercy, love, and strength. He changed my life. He will change yours.
I sit alone at church most days. Most people do at my church. I think it's ok because the one we're there for is more than enough. 😀 Share God's love within you with others. Simple smile, hello, whatever you can think of. Others may be feeling the same way and all you have to do is reach out. You can be the love and connection that you are hoping to get from others. Wonderful talk. My Lenten 2023 devotion will be to pray at least 1 decade of the Rosary at the gravesites of my parents, in-laws, and grandparents - at 4 separate cemeteries.
I believe there is a "Lourdes Rosary" that has a 6th decade added just for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Don't quote me on this- but I add one anyhow.
I was at a wake for a colleague's sister. As I entered the funeral parlor, I saw her before me and she was in great pain surrounded by flames. The priest came in and began leading everyone in a call-response prayer for God's mercy on her soul. With each invocation of God's mercy by the priest, I witnessed that there was a lessening of her pain. I understood that our prayers truly do help them. I offer a decade of the Rosary each day for the holy souls, and if and when I gain any indulgences, I give these to them as well; they'll help me when they reach heaven.
Thank you Alvaro and Patricia for sharing that picture. About humility of souls in purgatory my late mum''s friend shared with me the dream she had about her. That she saw her in a glittering garment but she warned her not to be deceived by the glitter of her garment rather she needed more prayers. Even last week in my dream she asked me 'what had happened?' because I had taken long without asking for a priest to say mass for her. I did the following day.

My son who died in an accident at 30 years of age spoke to me in a dream crying he was lonesome. I recited the 15 prayers that Jesus taught St Brigitte of Sweden and 365 days later after reciting them to the day I had a vision of Robert citing at the Banquet table with some of my other family members.

I also had some really cool dreams of priests serving Mass with people in a dark place lit up with the Holy Monstrance being help up by a Priest. And two nuns praying on my left knee and being healed . Also an old lady told me to pray for Father John Hardon 🙏🏼🙏🏼. Who passed away

My mum was separated from my dad when I was an infant and after I was 18, I went to stay with her for about a year because I needed to fill up the gap. Her husband and I became real friends. I moved on with my life afterwards. The husband died later and naturally I was hurt but I didn't really pray much for his soul. After some years, I saw him in my dream.He reprimanded me as a father would his daughter and said "I loved you as my own daughter and I confided in you... is this how you forget me ?" Of course I woke up to do what I should.

I was going through a tough experience once. I then remembered during prayer someone had told me you could ask the Holy Souls in Purgatory to pray for you too. I always had prayed for the Holy Souls, but not necessarily asked them to prayed for me. Meanwhile there is this hymn I love about the Souls too. Anyway I asked for their help but my situation did not immediately change. So silly me I got upset and thought... they probably don’t care😢 and went to bed. Had a dream that night I was near a beauuuuuutiful glassy turquoise like sea. Loads of beautiful green plants around it. Then this most beauuuuutiful sound of many voices singing that hymn I love about the Souls. It’s like they were singing for me!❤ Their voices sounded like the beautiful glassy sea. Soon as I woke up... with a warm heart... forgot all about my problems and prayed for my purgatory friends. Eternal Rest grant unto them Oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they Rest In Peace.

For more than 30 years i did not offer prayers or masses for my dead relatives for lack of knowledge about souls in purgatory. Just last year after the death of my sister i started offerring masses and prayers for the souls, i saw in my dream my sister-in-law, she is sick but just waiting she will be fully recovered or maybe waiting for her release in purgatory.
This was one of the best videos that I've ever seen given by "lay folks". I have always been empathetic to the people in Purgatory - especially those who have no one to pray for them.
I have found Memorial Cards from people's funerals in weird places - people that I don't know, that don't live near me, and from different decades. I take it as a cry for prayer.
Recently the name of an aunt that I never met just popped into my head - so I went to the Rectory and picked up a Mass.
Those of us who "know" - well, we know. Then I ask them all to pray for me, our country and the world.

My Great-Grandfather immigrated to NYC, and his family descended from the French Catholics who fled persecution. They are very devoted to Saint Anne so he has a perpetual mass said at Saint Jean Baptiste Catholic Church at the shrine of Saint Anne. His wife (My Great Grandma) was a very devout Irish Catholic they are cousins with Cardinal McCloskey, she also has a perpetual mass said for her by the SMA Fathers. I just enrolled my Parents for their souls, my Grandparents as well, and as many deceased relatives as I could think of.

My husband and I were alone at Adoration, and suddenly the empty pews started creaking in several places (mostly across the aisle) I said, Honey, there are Poor Souls here..he agreed. So I went up to the kneelers at the foot of the altar yo pray for them, and the 4 kneelers on the Left side all started to creak. (Like they followed me up there) I said, "Lord I don't know who these Souls are, if they're Priests or ppl who weren't paying attention during Mass, but please bring them to Heaven" The noise stopped, and it hasn't happened again...
After hearing her explain her dream, I was given confirmation about what I need to do for a soul of a loved one in Purgatory. I've been hesitating to get other people, who know this soul, to pray for him and help them convert too.

When you bless yourself with Holy Water, allow a few drops to land on the ground or floor, and say "For the poor souls in purgatory", then cross yourself. Do this in Church, your home, or wherever you are. It DOES help them by giving them relief from the tongues of fire which surround many of them. Love them, because they love you, in Christ. 🙏🙏🙏
I am from Mexico, I have lived here in the USA for many years and I have been to several funerals, of Americans, and it is very sad that no one prays recently. rosary or prayer when you need it so much, not even at their funeral, I don't think that after time passes they will pray to them. .
When in the Sanctuary of the Blessed Sacrament in the Blessed Sacrament and I pray for the souls of Purgatory I see little faces like passing or like fading in the Host itself. Very important to pray for souls in purgatory especially those in our family.
I'd like to share my experience. About 3 months ago I lost a dear friend to a tragic car accident[a young man]😢 😔 I prayed for him and offered up masses for about 2 or so months n I decided to stop like maybe he's ok now. I asked God to send me a sign just in case he's not ok n he needs more prayers. About 4 days later I had a dream where my friend appeared to me. I dont remember what he said to me but his facial expression was that of worry. And I started praying for him again. Also I never remember my dreams but this one I did not forget.
I had a dream of a family member that showed me a bed with dirt floors and saying this was her home now. I see this was probably a way for me to pray for her soul.

My daughter invited me to where she was living as manager of a storage company. She started to tell me of this Ghost they had living with them.She said the laundry closet door is always open even though she had closed it several times already and there was nothing wrong with it.. The little girl of her knew about the Ghost. They would ask her where the Ghost was, and she would
crawl to where she thought the Ghost is. The small child would crawl to that chair in the living room. They had given the Ghost a name... Charley. .. My son was there with me also. He was playing on the floor across from where I was sitting in a that chair I the exact location where the small child always crawled to for Charley.
All of a sudden a pillow that was laying on the futon where my Son and Grandchild were playing on the floor, FLEW ACROSS THE ROOM INTO my FACE, SO HARD AND FAST THAT IT HIT my FACE AND OPEN EYES AND IT HURT. NO ONE HAD SEEN IT OR THROWN IT.... I WAS SO SHOCKED AND my EYES WERE BURNING, THAT I DIDN'T SAY A WORD TO ANYONE. I GOT UP AND WASHED MY EYES WITH WATER. THEN MY DAUGHTER INQUIRED ABOUT THE PILLOW AND my EYES burning. And I told her, She knew it was real but none of us could explain it.
At home I Prayed for the person who must have been left here on Earth and couldn't leave. That's what I assumed and SO I Prayed for half an hour to release this Soul.
The next day my daughter called me and asked WHAT I HAD DONE TO CHARLEY? HE WAS GONE. I TOLD HER WHAT I HAD THOUGHT, THAT THIS GHOST HAD NEEDED TO GET MY ATTENTION TO SET HIM FREE....Well my daughter was angry with me.
The following day, she had gone downstairs where the laundry was and she discovered a box that some other employee have left sitting on the washing machine. As she opened it ! She found an Urn with Ashes in it, that someone had left in their storage unit..
The Urn sat exactly in the spot where I had been sitting upstairs and the Little Child had always crawled to.
I was convinced the Soul Knew I would Pray to set IT Free.

Watching this and reading comments made me pray the Chaplet of Saint Gertrude for the first time. I kept repeating some part to be as sincere as I could be. This was also the first time that I remember sincerely praying for everyone I knew who’d past away. I also had felt compelled to visit the cemetery where my mother was on Christmas Day, and found myself praying for those I walked passed, not even knowing anything about others needing our prayers. Praise God! For His unending opportunities to bless and be blessed. amen!

In the middle weeks of the last November my son had seen a (like a vision ) a person in full suits and hat appearing from our kitchen and going pass him, and son had felt hot then he he disappeared when my son(only recently had his First Holy Communion )uttered the name of Jesus. Then again on the day after the incident the same way he has seen a person like poor beggar was walking past him in to the living room and disappear.. That night i came across a talj in the youtube by Rev. Fr. Antony Parankimallil about the purgotory souls and his own experience of Divine Retreat Centre at Theaka, Rwanda as i recall, which was built on a old cemetery.. I immediately remembered that area which my house located also once was an old jungle cemetery where dead bodies were used to be just thrown in to. I offered two Holy Masses, also we participated in the Holy Eucharistic Adoration and healing service conducted by our new parish priest the following 1st Friday in December. My son experienced a Holy vision of The Holy Spirit as a Dove and soft Warmth touch of Jesus on that freezing cold night... I praise the Lord..Hallelujah 🙏

Mother Mary told us at Medjugorje that most holy souls in purgatory are released on All Souls day, Easter Sunday n on Christmas Day. Other times, during Consecration of the mass n St,Gertrude prayers at Masses said n offer up your pain big or small, to JESUS to save souls.

It’s the first time that I come to this channel. This morning, just before awake (or was I awake, I don’t know) I heard my husband voice calling my name just once. He died 9 months ago. The 3 others time that he just call my name, I was really awake. But after listening what you said I realized that since 2 weeks I have stop to say the Ste-Gertrude chaplet cuz I was praying what Jesus ask: pray à novena for my priest Sons . But I will do this special chaplet for the souls who are in Purgatory. Thanks to both of you. What a coincidence!! But there’s not, God is there!
When my Mom passed , I heard her call my name on 2 separate occasions! Since I started praying for the Poor souls , I often times hear my name being called in the morning when Im sleeping thats what wakes me up the voice that calls me . I've heard different voices ! Once I heard what sounded like a young girl saying in a soft voice , I'm here " or the cheery voice of a Man saying something like , " Hi ! how are you doing ?" that one kinda scared me ! But mostly I hear my name being called .sometimes it scared me, but most. of the time I don't feel afraid and I immediately start to pray for them. I hear the voices coming from different parts of my room or even close to my face as if they are sending down so that I can hear them better . I hope though that I NEVER SEE THEM !
I heard a former boyfriend call me, screaming 3 times. I didn't know he had passed. I prayed for him 3 Aves and the Rosary.

After listening to the talk about Marilyn Monroe I felt I should not be shy to asks for prayers for them. I will also find their real names and offer masses for them. I heard about someone who went to Purgatory during a near- death experience and there were a group of nuns there and one of them said that they had been there for 60 years.

I was in adoration with a group praying the Precious Blood devotion and we were praying the Litany of the Precious Blood. When we got to “Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, scourge of demons, set us free; and Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, help of those in bondage, set us free”, we heard a male voice coming from the back of the chapel saying the response, “Set us free.” We had thought we were alone in the chapel because it was in the middle of the night. When we turned around, there was no one there! We figured that it must have been a soul in purgatory making reparation before the Blessed Sacrament.
I pray for the souls of friends who have passed, and in one dream that I had of a friend who had passed a few years ago, I reminded him about a classic car that he had, and his reply was that "they don't think about those things here." I am not sure if it was a dream about a soul in purgatory?
A simple and beautiful reminder to pray for him and remain detached from earthly things
I would hope some of me from here will be carried over. It is part of what makes me , me. Maybe I don't understand well enough .
I will continue say, I hope God gives all humanity at least purgatory and pity like he did with the murder on the cross.
Unfortunately most souls end up in hell, then Purgatory, then Heaven. That's Biblical by the way. God's Plan is for all of us to end up in Heaven but humans have a canny ability to stupidity and we have Free Choice given, not by any government or Court but by God. That's what makes us human, rather than God robots or slaves. God sends NO ONE to hell...souls there sent themselves by their stupid choices. That's most of the world. The criminal on the cross REPENTED before he died and that's why He ended up, not in Purgatory, but HEAVEN. The other criminal...who knows. Probably Purgatory since Jesus forgave them all BUT, not Heaven since he still did not repent like the other. God's mercy is infinite by its nature, but limited as to the effect on each individual soul. That effect depends on how willing are we to obey His Commands and REPENT.

God graces me with picture visions. 2 Sundays ago. I asked God to show me a soul that needed prayers. I ended up praying for all of them because i wasnt guided . Then I went again this Sunday, and I was praying for my friends family. God flashed before my eyes a bunch of purple pastel flowers. 💜 it was a soul near them. But God is so good even before that I was guided. I saw a car that said geniuses because I told God a while ago I wanted. But then soon after we went past a shop called genesis. Then at the cemetary where the soul was and my friends family was buried, that section was called Genises Garden. ❤ praise be to God. ❤❤❤

Hi, I had a vision of a spinning head with dark hair that came within ~ 12"and made me back up against the sofa. He looked like my sister's friend Mike, I of offered the soonest mass available. I have a family mass card, and he was added. The dates of death the best money ever spent!
