Linda please keep teaching Hatch . You are Awesome !!! thanks so much for your time and knowledge. I have learned so much from you. Thanks again, Penny
Thanks, Lindee. I have learned so much from this video, as I love to digitize but seem to have more jumps than I needed. I have Bernina V7, but am going to look into upgrading to the Hatch, which has MUCH more tools than I have on my version of Wilcom.
Thanks! Since I now have Hatch 3, any motifs I make won't be backward compatible. I do have more motifs but they are rather random and not such a large, cohesive collection.
I am trying to work with both motifs and carve stamps. One issue I cannot solve is, getting those two icons on a menu bar. In your spare time (LOL) could you discuss toolbar adjustments? As I was trying to play with the toolbars, I lost the resizing and rotation bar!
Which 2 tools are you trying to get onto which toolbar? If you really mess up the toolbars, you can reset them. Go to the Hatch website on support page and look for "reset toolbars."
@@LindeeGVideos sometimes they’re present and sometimes not. I think I finally figured out how to save carve stamps. This video was very valuable for me. One thing that I have issues with is how to use the unique features. I spent about 4-5 hours figuring out carve. The videos without audio are not worth much. Thank you for your input, without you, I personally would be lost. BTW, online I have changed my name to pat adams. I am still doing the Avid Embroiderer as pat snyder.
OK me again. I didn't see where I was asked for the starting and ending point on the lower left of my screen. I did accidently find that if I just added those points, beginning and end, they were there and I got a message that I had created a motif. Why would my software be different? I have V2.1D 1 Oct 2019 (123-20145) [aebc3dd0]
@@lindeegoodall2426 Well silly me, I managed to change something a couple of days ago so I now have the prompt to add the beginning and the ending points but now I can't remember how I did it. I also have to hit enter to stop digitizing and you don't seem to do that. Or is it something you do but don't mention thinking we already know that? Thanks.
I hadn't figured that out when these videos were made. Although they were just published, they were uploaded many months ago and held until the blog post was published. Doing "back track" to reverse a motif can work on simpler motifs but not on more complex one - the underlay/travel stitches will be exposed.

thank you Lindee - absolutely fabulous tutorial - love learning from you and you have a great teaching so easy to understand.
Brilliant! I really like your teaching style and am looking forward to seeing me Hatch lessons from you (please).
Thank you for making embroidery easier to understand!!
:)
I love your motifs. I wish besides the crazy quilt motifs, I wish you would design motif collections for sale.

This is fabulous, thanks so much :-)
Love this but I have a question, why is there a space between the red ones you created and not the first ones you did?

They are in the lower left on the status bar. Easy to miss if you aren’t looking.
@@LindeeGVideos Actually it isn't there, I was watching.
@@susan1948utube I have no idea why yours wouldn't show. Contact support.

Also, the "H" thing doesn't seem to work all the time. I have no idea, maybe I have to be in a certain place to do that??
To stitch the motif in reverse just digitize the line from right to left or circle clockwise etc. No need to change the motif and create a new one.
