  • Welcome to the best class of the year! I called this class advanced because we are using advanced techniques
    and a whole list of tools to make some In The Hoop key fobs! In this class we go over some different stitch
    types and how and why they work for the key fobs, we create a beautiful snowflake design from the beginning, play around with
    some motifs and put it all together in the right order and with the right optimization to create the key fobs.
    BONUS: as an additional bonus, I had another completely different design using a special Hatch font and put it all
    together for a second key fob design. This is a digitizing class, so we go over the digitizing with great detail, but
    don't worry, I do explain more than once how to stitch the key fobs out.
    There are many things to learn in this class. It is full of techniques and tools including:
    stitch control and settings
    working with the grid
    clone tool (my fav!)
    circle copy
    making connections and optimizing the design
    working with circles
    working with Motifs
    Motif stamp
    Backtrack and repeat
    Proper node placement for smooth curves
    Measure tool
    ITH set up
    Working with offsets

    I learned so much from this video! I could not find the fancy script that you used in the last section. I scrolled thru several times. After "hana" it wasn't there.

    How dense is too dense on vinyl?

    When you have a multi-needle machine and put in a color change, the machine doesn't stop - so you can take the hoop off and put the lower vinyl on. Is there a way to tell a multi-needle machine to stop for this. (I don't have a multi-needle machine but want to make sure my designs work on them.) Thanks.

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  6 лет назад +1

      Yes. You can add a stop on the machine easily when you are doing set up and you can also click on a button (reserve stop) if you forget to pre-programm - the reserve stop button will stop after you finish that color. So yes, there are a few ways for the operator to program in a stop at the machine, so everything works perfectly.

    This might be a stupid question, but will the vinyl on the back be exactly the same shape as the vinyl on the front? In other words will the front look like what is stitched out and the back be just a circle not covering the back of the tab part? Sorry I really don’t know how else to explain what I’m trying to ask. I would love to see this stitched out on a Video🙏PLEASE

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  5 лет назад +1

      there are no stupid questions :) . when you are stitching out the design, you stitch out the front completely and then add the back part under the hoop. the back looks nice when it is done - with matching bobbin thread - and will only be the pretty triple stitches showing - the back covers everything up and gives it a finishing touch.

    How about an embird tutorial for fobs please!

    • @OMLembroidery
      @OMLembroidery  6 лет назад

      you can take the information from this video and apply it to any software - Embird has the same stitches so you can do the same thing - the tools are different and named differently, but the stitches are the same. !
