Oh my Goodness! It FINALLY made sense to me! I made my first motif that I started on (not diligently in my defense!!) a year ago! I rewatched the video. Walked away, came back and I got it! Thank you so so so much! I'm over the moon happy! Now I need to do a couple more so it sinks in!! Thank you Lindee!
I enjoyed this video and understood everything until the 14 minute mark. After you created Motif 1, you went back to your sample and copied a Basket Weave Motif. From the sequence docker, you right clicked and copied the object properties from the basket weave and then selected the Motif 1 and applied the object properties. This replaced Motif 1 with the Basket Weave Motif. I was thinking that the purpose of the exercise would be to copy all properties except the Motif 1 stitch. What am I missing? I hope my question makes sense.
really helpful, but what's different between manual setup run from start to... vs branching setup start and end point, with manual you have many layers, vheres with branching you have solid object... And one more question, how setup object angle when create motif i mean upside down vs normal what is on screen, becouse when i try create it always gos upside down, not what is object digitize. Thanks realy amazing Your tutorials
RE: Branching - because I can control the pathing that way and that's how I made motifs before Hatch. Question 2: check your entry-exit points and how you create your reference line. Glad you like the tutorials! There's more in Hatch Academy; many free, some premium.

I'm new to hatch and had no idea this could be done. Thanks for your video.
Thank you Lindee. Great tutorial, now I just need time to play!!
Outstanding video Lindee showing so many ways you can be creative designing your own motifs!!
Thank you so much for this very helpful tutorial, Lindee. Just what I needed!
Thank you Lindee. Really love how you share your ideas with us. Anxious to try this.
What is the size of your ruler guide? I see you are doing this tutorial in Metric. Thanks for taking the time to share your digitizing tips.

Thats very good instructions now i want to have a play.Do we need a graphic to work with?
Graphic is not necessary. I've made a lot of motifs without images.
Thank you Lindee for the great video I did it

Oooh what fun❣️ Thanks for sharing this 😄
Really nice! Would love to see how you did the others :-)
Pretty much the same way just more detail and more futzing around to get it aligned the way I wanted.
Love these Linda :) ty
Hoe komt het dat mijn vierkant niet helemaal gevuld word met het motief ?
Hard to say without seeing what you are doing. Moeilijk te zeggen zonder te zien wat je doet.
how do you get the motif mold???
I'm not sure what you mean by "motif mold." Do you mean the backdrop image? Anywhere you can get images - online, clip art, scans, etc.
@@LindeeGVideos you are awesome for replying back so fast thank you
