Hey there! Great videos I am learning a lot! What software are you using that is compatible with Hatch, that will allow you to use Hatch on your Mac?

Thanks! I'm running Parallels on a Mac Desktop Pro with Windows 10. Hatch 3 requires more resources than older versions so you will need to make sure your Mac can reserve enough to match the specs on the Hatch website,

As a newbie to Applique, as well as learning how to make an Applique template, I'd hoped to learn how to tell if a file has an applique element as I'm struggling to tell whether some files are only Embroidery, or have Applique included - Any advice would be gratefully received. I appreciate all the online videos that are produced as its a great way to build your knowledge in an area you want to learn, but your video today missed the spot for me unfortunately. Thank you for trying to explain, but is there a reason why we can't just print off the images once they're copied, and cut around them manually? I could see a print option on the output design tab - would that not work for those of us on Windows machines?

In this video, I'm only showing how to create an applique template from an EMB file in Hatch. If you're working with stitch files, the best way to know if a design has an applique element is to look at the included color sequences. Then you'll just find the outlined object in your object list and do what I did here. If you have Hatch v2, it will export SVG files for the various cutters.

I tried the break apart of an appliqué created in hatch in the Edit section and I think it would not break. (Not really sure), Is the Appliqué creator break apart different than the one in the Edit section?

It's the same break apart tool. It's just duplicated for convenience. Find your applique object on the Sequence Docker. It should be one object. After break apart, you should see multiple objects.
