I had this pain two days ago, and i noticed i sit (slip) as you show(gaming/studying keep me sit for hours), bad decision avoiding look for it. I'm avoiding sitting too much for now, because it hurts, just laying and will start make the exercises you showed. Thank you very much!
Thank you for giving us a different approach to cure Tailbone pain and also thank you sir for giving us an important information that TENs can make the pain worse.
Merci bien pour cette vidéo excellente - I keep slipping exactly as you demonstrated! I will follow your great tips as I have coccyx pain and also occasional sciatica so this will help
Olivier. Thank you! Keep the content coming..this along with your books is amazing Info... everyone else on RUclips wants you to do crazy exercises that aim to help you but kill your back lol. You my friend is what physical rehabilitation is all about.
Am i permitted to these exercises as I underwent biinguinal hernia operation 2.5 yrs back. Having coccyx pain noticed since one year. Sitting long hours and am 62. Thanks in advance.
great video, original content, genuine advice. For so long I have been experiencing this pain, and I never see a professional "sitting" advice as real as this. It seems you yourself experienced this pain because your remedies are real (these positions and exercises are quite similiar to my personal pain relief remedies).
Easy explanation. I def think this will help me. In due time right lol I work in a factory and sit on a "padded" stool for 10hrs/day. I currently do the lean foward position but thats due to the type of job. Unfortunately, things are getting worse even though I'm m pretty flexible and I do stretches throughout the day. Im most interested in the one one where you are on the floor stretched out over yourself and kinda go in a circle. Looks like it gets into the deep lumbar.
I had this tailbone pain for a while so I tried something I saw online, which is sit on a folded pillow so there's no pressure on the tailbone. It worked but now I have pain under the butt (from sitting on the folded pillow), like between the butt and thigh. That pain isn't going away. I think it's sciatica? But it started recently and isn't getting better..
I was also sitting on a wooden chair for like 5 years. That probably caused my butt pain. Right now, the pain is mainly between the butt and the thighs (right under the butt cheek). I have a good office chair now but that area still hurts everyday.

Hi I’m having the same pain in the middle of my bum. I have previous history of herniated disc. So its been 2 years im healed but now due to work I’m getting this pain when I sit, should I do the same stretches? Is bending down safe for me?
Sir I face pain in my tail bone area after I sit in My cruiser bike seat..I did add gel seat.It didn’t help much..But I think I need to work on my seating posture as u mentioned to make it correct.
I don’t feel pain but I know the coccyx is out of place because all the weird symptoms I am having I just felt down to the floor and hit myself very hard on my right glute and since that moment I felt from hips down to feet stiff and the misalignment of the body but mostly from my hips down can you please what can I o to help me with the pain and thank you
Olivier = I have sit bone pain that get much worse if I do a hamstring stretch can you propose any exercises - I understand this is not medical advice 🙂
I work in EMS and currently have this issue. I thought it was my fall from being knocked down by a huge wave and onto the hard sand and on my tailbone the week prior to returning to work but now it probably is my posture but I thought I normally sit okay. The chair at home is hard though and I don't have a proper cushion for it for my home computer so that may be my issue and then the injury from the fall. But the pain has been occurring for a week now and I've never had issues with my chair at home or my sitting posture (since it's usually decent) prior to the hard fall. I'm wondering if the fall exacerbated it then.
@@OlivierGirard Its because I am doing strength training and I would like bigger/ stronger glutes and thighs. Its not that I "have" to do them, but it does help not having a flat ass. So if I have tailbone pain, am I still ok to do squats and lunges using barbell, would you know the answer to this?
@@daisyh8481 I would be very careful with these exercises… they strain the gluteus maximums which can worsen your tailbone pain. At least, start with minimal or even no load
@@OlivierGirardit’s interesting that the aeron is recommanded over the mirra I was afraid the harder mesh seat on the aeron would hurt me more. But I saw you review of the mirra and I see how the gap at the back could be a problem.
Hello, thanks for your videos. I have a Q. For About 4 weeks I had pain in my coccyx and sacrum area. But it was more like burning feeling. It started after I sat for 3-4 hours. But then it was more intense every day. I didn’t have any problems while moving around. And walking was the best relief. I felt most pain when laying down and even in the evenings when going to sleep. Could these be the symptoms problem with this area?
I have had tailbone pain for 2 months now. I have 35 degree thoracolumbar scoliosis. Ultrasound shows “ soft tissue prominence” at end of coccyx. Waiting for cat scan. Assuming this is a bone spur ,will it decrease in size or reposition if I do your exercises? Coccyx cushion is helping. Thank you .
this is exactly why I laugh every time someone tells me he/she doesn't have the time to take care of posture: busy people don't have time to be sick. That's when the real loss of time & productivity appears...

Am I still able to do weighted squats and lunges?
No offence dear... but I have a preliminary question: what makes you think that you need to do these?

Can it be treated permanent???
per se, yes. But it depends on 1) how long you have had it 2) how much effort your put into fixing the causes & symptoms
Hello , I have tailbone sacrum pain and lower back pain. Which chair would you recommend more aeron, mirra 2, leap or gesture ? Thanks
Aeron or Gesture, depending on how you feel on them. But mainly, I'd recommend that you make sure you sit well, and get up regularly. What's your job?

Sometimes even pain killers didn’t help. Doctors gave me pills with diclofenac pills.
How are you now?

I slipped of a bathroom floor. I have lowerback pain when I lift heavy objects.
You JUST slipped, or was it some time ago? Did you get a diagnosis?
