This helped me. I overworked myself and didn’t have enough rest. After work I went into my garages to grab something I didn’t think was that heavy and had pain for almost a month now. These stretches helped me and rest to recover better than before. Thank you for this helpful video
Hit my tailbone on cooler door at work last night and OMG the stretches but mainly breathwork instantly felt the relief still sore but at least I can now stand up straight without having to hunch over
So glad you found this helpful! Sitting all day can contribute to tightness around the tailbone. Breathing when sitting and different positioning when sitting can be helpful.
Hello Dr. Melissa. Found your sight looking for tailbone work. My61 year old aunt was on a hoverboard and fell. She has soreness on right side of tailbone. Think brunt of hit may have been on sacrum. She has mild soreness, no pain. She has been icing. Any recommendations to begin a self care treatment until she can get checked out by her chiro. She doesnt want to sit waiting a week until she is seen if there are things she can do now to help keep muscles loose while healing. Appreciate and looking forward to your response.
Hi, I really like your video. My tailbone feels so bruised when I sit for long or short amounts of times. I really hope this video gives me relief over time. Do you have any recommendations for the best sit pillow to help with this pain. I’m having a hard time finding a good one as the ones I have tried bother my piriformis. Thank you very much!
So glad to hear you enjoyed this video! Keep up the great work! We do have a video on desk athletes where I go over sitting positions in chair that you might find helpful. I don't recommend a specific pillow per say, but give suggestions on where to place pillows for when sitting. 💗
Everyone is different so listening to your body is best. Some do the exercises daily, some do every couple of days, and some when needed. And for "bad sleeping posture" it's identifying when you have the pain or a cause of the pain. So if sleeping causes pain or someone has more pain when waking up sleep could be contributing.
Yes I just hit my tail bone last night while lifting about 50lbs of ice cream mix (box of six) and on way up jammed my tailbone into cooler door causing me to instantly drop box and fall as soon as the work adrenaline wore off it felt like I broke my tailbone these gentle stretches really really helped more than anything the breathwork helps the most
Great question! These can be used for tailbone pain postpartum. Breathing is going to be key with the exercises. We also have a few other videos for tailbone pain like this one ruclips.net/video/oMQ4_r3m0dw/видео.htmlsi=SZ-YCcUC6wQnojbQ Keep up the great work!
My tail bone started to hurt more I think I should see a doctor immediately this pain is like 9 out of ten it's unbearable .. I felt this pain yesterday after I was sitting long at the dinner table on my phone talking 🤦♀️so much pain
I always recommend checking in with your healthcare provider for what’s best for you. I have clients who are pregnant that do these exercises, but it’s all about how you are doing them.
