He also said, " You're being detained for not listening" Um, sir, that's not lawful. He also said, "You took off," as the man is laying on the ground following all the cop's orders....
@@ThatOneWeirdGal indeed! Those unlawful statements should cancel out the entire police interaction. In another video the cop wrestled the grandmom to the ground and put her in cuffs. After she questioned him after being in the back of the police car for some time; he told her that he was trying to decide whether to take her in or not. No….. he was really staling to try and find an honest reason to arrest her. He didn’t have one. He didn’t even have a lie good enough to cover his actions. These officers are rouge!
Cop yelling "Get on the ground!!" repeatedly while citizen is already on the ground is a perfect metaphor for the disconnect between citizens and police.
That's scary. He complied to all of his commands and still almost got shot...

^^^ Cop saw him leave on his bike, not "flee."
He had a light.
He came towards the cop when asked.
He dropped the bike after being asked.
He went to the ground when asked.
The cop asking a couple times before the guy put the bike down is not resisting, he simply asked why and then complied when the cop made it clear he wasn't going to clarify. Just having to tell him to put it down 2 or 3 times doesn't mean resisting, especially when the person was not made aware they were being detained.
He gave him his information when asked.

Asking questions is arguing to a cop. They're used to their wives obeying or getting beaten, so they're a bit taken-aback when someone doesn't obey completely with no questioning.
Maybe we use slightly different definitions of 'argue'. In my mind, he did argue (debated his side). That, however, should not be cause for further suspicion or charges of resisting.
Also, regardless of how we define 'argue' it is, still, protected speech. Arresting somebody for "arguing" is so clearly a 1st Amendment violation. ACAB

The fact that the sheriff decided to try to defend this cop by listing the crimes of the victim just shows how corrupt they all are in that department. A person's criminal background is nearly irrelevant to how you treat them in separate interactions.

18 U.S.C. § 241
CIVIL RIGHTS CONSPIRACY
Unlike most conspiracy statutes, §241 does not require, as an element, the commission of an overt act. The offense is always a felony, even if the underlying conduct would not, on its own, establish a felony violation of another criminal civil rights statute.
A person convicted of a felony loses the rights to vote, to run for state office, and to serve on a jury. These rights are restored automatically upon completion of sentence.
A person convicted of a felony loses the right to possess a “concealable weapon” (such as a handgun) for 10 years following completion of sentence, which includes any period of parole or probation. A person convicted of a crime against a person-such as homicide, assault, kidnapping, or robbery-loses this right permanently.

How do you arrest someone for a secondary charge? Resisting to arrest without a reason to be arrested.
That shouldn't be allowed. But it is in some states. The judicial system in the USA is pretty messed up.
That is typical. Cops love the obstructing, interfering, resisting charges as they are so subjective anyone could be arrested under those clouded statutes.
Only makes sense to Tyrants.
It is a common misconception among people who watch 1st amendment audit channels that you can't obstruct or interfere with an officer without committing a primary offense. That is wrong. All a cops needs to stop you is reasonable suspicion that you may involved in a crime. Whether you are involved in a crime is the purpose of the investigatory detention. You very well may not be involved in a crime. During the course of that investigation, it is entirely possible to obstruct, hinder, or interfere with an officers investigation, which can result in an arrest.
@@luciddream2033 but people are being arrested by unlawful stops. A police officer cannot investigate anyone at will without probable cause. That goes against people's rights and freedoms.
What an unprofessional, childish, bully.
It’s obvious they have had interaction with this man in the past. “Get on the ground James!” speaks volumes. He wanted to harass this man and find any reason to arrest him.
Making up bogus charges like that should be a crime in and of itself.
It is, it's called deprivation of rights under color of law.. the problem is prosecutors and the federal government do not go after cops..thank the police unions for that.
Those are Nazi tactics
Arrested and threatened to be tazed over.. driving a bike at night without a headlight. Wow. That's some serious crime ya prevented there officer.
Not only that but he had a light. And he wasn’t riding it when the cop approached
@@PepeToTheMooonand he was on private property
AND lying saying he had to answer his questions when no citizen has to help an officers investigation AT ALL.
*walking a bike with a light... 😮
Why is it so difficult for officers to simply answer a detainment question?
So if I get pulled over in that town for speeding I chose a life of crime and I can have a full weight of the law come down on me what a freaking idiot of a sheriff and he should be fired
The sheriff was elected in Jan 23 and he's been in the department for almost twenty years he is beloved among his followers but he is quickly burning that up... He is hella crooked and I wouldn't be saying anything if I still lived there cause way too many ppl I know of came up dead in the less than three years I lived in silver springs Lyon county nevada
10 seconds into it and pulled a taser over a phone light, and riding a bike 🤣☠️
Well.... should have complied. 😮
Not riding. Walking a bike on private property
@@user-wg3gy7sy9zGet lost bot. We don't just comply with tyranny here in the us. The bigger the splash you make when you get arrested, the more likely your innocence can be exposed to the public.
Isn’t that ‘Sheriff’ openly and blatantly stating he and his officers are discriminating and targeting people solely on past interactions? How is that not some kind of civil violation.
It's Florida. 😢
Nevada
This is BULLSH1T!!
Cop WASN'T discriminating nor targeting this individual!!
Cop did all of this while NOT knowing whom he was!!
This is the classic re-writing of history!! Cop acted poorly and later found "justification" in the stranger's history!!
"Put the bike down!"
"Get on the ground!"
These are examples of awful orders... Not lawful orders... If cop thinks he has a reasonable suspicion and is detaining citizen WITHOUT explanation is furthering the BULLSH1T!! This also shows that it CAN'T be resisting!! Resisting what? Citizen WASN'T made aware that he was being detained... Until he asked!!
Threatening with a taser, while OR after citizen has gone to his knees, is a use of force to enforce an unlawful order...
Cops have a bad habit of "dragging citizens around." While he's hand-cuffed, cop grabs citizen by the arm and moves citizen WITHOUT informing citizen of his intentions... At that point, in order to comply, citizen has to read cop's mind... Because citizen WASN'T moving in the fashion (and to the spot) which the cop wanted!! Only person who knew what the cop wanted was the cop!! If he wanted cooperation, he should have given clear orders!!
Grabbing me and lugging me around WITHOUT directions nor notice of intentions is an assault/battery!!
All of this is "abusive."
Going through citizen's pocket and then his wallet is an illegal search!!
The "how do I know that you WEREN'T involved?" is BULLSH1T!! As a citizen, you DON'T have the burden of proof... Cops do!! AND... If a cop's job is to know what *EVERYONE* ISN'T doing, cop now has a 24-hour job!! A cop could LITERALLY stop ANYONE and investigate, at any time, under the "statute" of "how do I know?"
Thank you for your insight with knowledge! You are inspiring and informative and as citizens, we all need to learn our rights and responsibilities in our community and country.
I just stumbled across this channel. Wow, what a fantastic channel you have. Your knowledge and information givin is stop on! Great job!
If "riding a bike without a headlight" elicits threatening the person with a taser and ordering him to lay on the ground and to handcuff him, I don't even want to know how this cop reacts when someone commits an actual serious crime.
More likely than not, he doesn't respond to calls about ACTUAL SERIOUS crimes...

Reason for detention and restraints - failed to listen.
Deaf people must have it rough in this town
Deaf and ALL disabled have it extremely tough with ALL LE everywhere! Tased, then may acknowledge a possible disability, eventually.
There are so many arrest videos of deaf people that are so heartbreaking. Many times cops don't get it. They do stupid stuff like yell. There was one that was even told by their partner that he was deaf and he still didn't get it and continued to give him stupid commands. They even continue to charge them with resisting when they just didn't hear the commands or see the cop because their back was to the cop. Bull-headed a**holes.
@claudiametzger306 my family live in the US but I'm UK based right now.
Our police aren't great but they would never do stuff like this. With the repeat offenders there's almost a mutual respect in many cases. It's sad and shocking to see the regularity that this happens over the pond. That poor woman with dementia, wow.
The other thing is your cops just get off with anything.
I was pulled over in FL(near Ft Myers) about 15 years ago, me white, black wife in the front and a 3 and 10 year old in the back. He told me on his speaker to get out with hands up and get on the ground, I got out but refused to get on the ground, he came at me weapon drawn shouting to get down, I shouted "I refuse to be demeaned by you in front of my children and the ground is hot". The accent got him calm real quick but it left me shocked and that's how I found all these videos.
He tried to make little of it and suggested the same must happen in the UK. I told him "we have cowardly cu*ts in the UK for sure but they don't have badges and guns"
Man I love the US but this shit is sad.
Ofcourse they dont listen then throw up gang signs at a officer😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@cyruslad5462 This is a horrible scene in the video, but i literally watched the UK police arrest a lady for praying silently. Don't kid yourself its equal or much worse.
Let's disgust how to make a fake charge for this guy....gotta love it! Auditor are literally superheroes
"You took off!" As he's laying on the ground and following all your orders...🤦♀
What’s most egregious is the Sheriff justifying the arrest and admitting he expects his officers to violate the citizens constitutional rights and abuse their power…….A lawsuit should be filed and the justice department should immediately investigate the entire Sheriff’s Dept starting from the top down!!!!!!!!!
Hey deputy just some advice. If you have to do mental gymnastics to justify a stop then you are in the wrong.
love your videos. they've taught me a lot. even helping me out interacting with police in the past. Thank you
So, no victim, no crime, and the cop still took him to jail and found something to charge him with, and the dept agreed. Corruption always infects the Godless
Corruption is a religious practice
I bet 90% of the department considers their selves Christians .
Organised religion is about control and corruption.
@@wvguy7238 1 of countless reasons i prefer to be a Pagan (Asatru)
Wow. This is a corrupt Sheriff department. The fact, the sheriff even supports the deputie’s misconduct proves right there that this is a corrupt department.
This will never end .. ata, you will NevER ever ever run out of content! I like how he yells come here like he’s a gd dog !!!
At this point I’m convinced you can not even have a middle school degree and still become a cop later on if you live in America
When they refused the supervisors, you start saying that you want to speak to your attorney and then you say nothing more.
Can they please fire this officer?. It’s completely egregious and the worst violation of public trust. This guy needs to go.
even if he does get fired he'll just be hired by another department to continue harassing people without consequence...
Fire ? 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄 I guess you are dumber than I thought. You see them conspiring to find a reason to arrest him since they clearly didnt have a reason but you expect them, to fire him
@@lilium9361it’s crazy cause they really dgaf they do what they want it’s so sad
That cop should be arrested for public intoxication. Drunk on power, amirite?
There’s a sheriff that needs fired and given all the falsehoods in this interaction who could say if all others were just as flawed contacts! This is a clear display of harassment in full..!
When you have to confer with a fellow officer to figure out what you can come up with for a charge, you knowingly detained and arrested someone in retaliation. The entire interaction is a lesson on civil rights violations. The irony is that the fire he was investigated could have burnt down the entire apartment complex and these officers couldn't have cared less.
"This guy been arrested before, therefore hes probably guilty. Lets arrest him again"
"See! hes a career criminal!!"
They do target people who’ve had previous interactions with the law.
It’s criminal for Mr. Gresham to be alive in their eyes now.
His previous infractions work in their favor as they continue to harass him for doing nothing wrong.
He doesn’t need to talk to you!!!!!
You INVESTIGATE FIRST!!!!!
The Sheriff's comments would lead a person to believe there is no opportunity to become an upstanding citizen. Once a criminal, we will always treat you like a criminal.
…. and, yet, they wonder why the guy was leaving…?
You mean unless you're a police officer, then you're a criminal.
