      You need to listen to the video again. He was a convicted felon that already served time and was released. He got possession of a weapon, which is illegal for felons to possess, and once police found out, he became a fugitive.

      Not defending the guy, but also this sort of behavior is to be expected as its human nature to not want to be taken away and locked in a cage. i feel like this says more about those officers's strategy, ie serving a warrant for someone ILLEGALLY OWNING A FIREARM, like wtf they should have apprehended him not in his home where all of his illegally owned guns are.

      They need to turn Wyoming into a giant prison. Start handing out football numbers for every crime. 25+ miles over the speed limit? 39YEARS to life. Driving on an expired registration? 60 YEARS to life. Robbery? LIFE SENTENCE. Possession of drugs? 75 YEARS with parole after 50 YEARS.

    It's not an ambush if the cops went to him. For it to be an ambush he would have to stake the officers out and hit them by surprise. They weren't surprised since they went to his house knowing he had a gun they should have been prepared.

      Actually, it could still be an ambush if the target was somehow tipped off to the impending raid and thus had time to prepare their defenses. The officers would go in thinking they had the element of surprise only to find that they had walked into a trap.

      @possumverde I can see your point and I agree with you because police aren't trained properly in many areas they need to be trained in. As a vet we were trained to always look for the trap or ambush even if we thought we had the element of surprise. Which brings me back to my point they should have been better prepared even if that preparation was through proper training they failed to receive.

      The officers approached the suspect outside in the yard with the Arrest warrant. The suspect immediately pulled out a gun and started firing upon the officers immediately and the officers fired back killing the suspect instantly in the front yard. Then someone inside the house started firing back on the officers with a high powered rifle

      Its common for cops to lie to get warrants. Just ask Breona Taylor. In this case, because it impacts second ammendment rights, there must be a historical analog law on the books at the time of the founding in order for the law to even be constitutional. The crooked cops skipped that step in the process and murdered that dude. Just like in Arkansas.

He immediately pulled out a gun and started firing on the Officers and the officers fired back killing the suspect immediately in the front yard. Then someone inside the house started shooting at the officers with a high powered rifle

      The man in the house has the advantage he knows the house layout and the surrounding area. I’m prior military so I know the possible breach points of law enforcement and even a swat team so that’d be my primary defensive position setup to counter an assault on my home.

      I totally agree with you. In both cases lives were lost because of the system of injustice. The police knew this type of person would not surrender. Bad judgment by the police and even worse by the judge. Lives lost because of a warrant for possession. This does not make sense.

      @@jo2832 thats misleading and you know it. enemy territory in your example includes hundreds of square miles not knowing which hedge or trench they might be in. in this case, its one house with a few rooms. they already know hes in there and in one of those rooms. its not an ambush if you know roughly where he is before hand. it'd be an ambush if the felon in question were waiting outside the police station and opened fire while they were on their way to serve the warrant.

      The officers never kicked down the door, they met the suspect outside standing in the yard. The suspect immediately began firing on the officers and they fired back instantly killing him. Then another suspect inside the house began firing on the officers with a high powered rifle

    I'm unclear about how this went down. They're saying three were killed, another five injured. So was it eight officers trying to serve this warrant? I just don't see how eight officers could be taken by surprise like that, serving an arrest warrant about possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. They knew the guy was armed, so they must have known he might start shooting. How in the world could he hit eight officers?
    There's got to be a lot more about this that they're not telling us. Maybe they don't know yet... but this just doesn't make sense to me.

      your right courts have been wrong. How is that the cops fault? Also, you're right again they have shown up to the wrong houses, two things with that 1 that could fall under the fault of the dispatcher, which is not a cop, and two, how dose that in anyway relate to this situation. This was the right house. Also, the bonus point the times they are wrong are extremely rare. A lot of the time, the national media picks up stories that happened years ago. Or they only show the big stories, and they either have high casualties or someone messed up because that's what gets clicks or fits their political narrative.

    8 shot 4 dead one suspect shot dead in the front yard ... They say they were shot at while aproching the dead suspect in the front yard... After hearing neighbor's say they heard over a hundred shots fired I can't help but wonder if some of the cops weren't hit with friendly fire by some of their own... I cant see one guy with a gun being able to shoot 8 officers before being shot dead... Sad day but were missing something here

    Maybe the ATF and US Marshall need to learn from some local PD that will conduct what appears to be a normal traffic stop and then swoop in rather than serve warrant where someone may barricade themselves inside with their rifles and ammo within easy reach. There were two others inside this house who may have been innocent but were put in danger along with any neighbors.

      Yes, they were at the right house, they saw the suspect standing outside in his front yard. As the task force approached the suspect with the Arrest warrant the suspect pulled out a gun and began to immediately fire upon the officers. The Officers fired back, killing the suspect in the yard. All of a sudden, someone inside the house, fired back at the officers with a high powered rifle
