Here's how they could have redeemed Kimberly for me. It would take 10 seconds long. When that debris was falling onto the cheerleader's car, Kim should have deflected it with her Zord. Shoot it away, fly into it, or cover the car, protect her. And then just fly away. It would have shown water was under the bridge, she learned not to villify other people, but to fix yourself first, and be a good person. It would have been so quick. One day of shooting. It takes 2 sentences of the script. And It would not make me hate her so much 😤
I watched this pitch meeting when it came out and I knew that you’d laugh when he says “making your monster grow is tight”😂😂😂. Anyway, great reaction as always, Pitch meeting wins for me though
An updated version of Dawson's Creek with super-powers & robots tacked- on. (and Krispy Kreme) The Honest Trailer was good, but "I'd just *love* for my dad to say he loved me, y'know just one time..." was what won it for me.
I loved both the '95 and 2017 movies. For their own reasons, they make me feel good about being a fan of the franchise. Edit: Oh but I hate how poorly Kimberly was written. She never had one scene where she learned her lesson. She got away with a crime, and she punished the victim for outting her?
I watched the 1995 power rangers movie multiple times a day as a kid. I watched it again a couple years ago (I'm 31 now), and it's exactly what I remembered it to be. It's actually a decent movie.
I had a good time with this movie, because of the things they pointed out, especially the stereotypes and the Krispy Kremes (which I don't really enjoy) references. It was fun to make fun on. I having a few of the older Rangers in the movie was good too. I didn't like that the movie was campy, but trying to be serious. Now as for who won, I think "making your monster grow" wins! They were both funny, but PM takes this one...yet again. I have a few connections with the Power Rangers, so I wanted the film to succeed, but it was just too.... unveven. I wonder what the new Rangers will be like? Jungle or Ninja or space... Maybe the Ranges could either face off with or fight with Voltron!! hehe These are so fun!! Great job on the reactions and the commentary!! Can't wait for the next one!
It's tough for me to choose, because both were great. I tend to like Pitch Meetings better, but my favorite line out of both of these was from Honest Trailers: "If you love The Breakfast Club, but wish they all turned into ninjas at the end". I think I'd give a slight edge to Honest Trailers. The movie itself I actually found entertaining. but I did not have high expectations going into it.
Yeah, I knew they would mess it up on some way. Just didn't think it would be by barely having action and focusing more on the characters home life. I'm all for character arcs and growth, but that didn't happen forna number of characters, lol!!
That's awesome you got to watch the pitch meeting 😁👏 What's gonna happen with power rangers is a full on reboot that won't reference anything from the 2017 movie and will have a new story and cast. At that point, the franchise was owned by Saban (original creator) and now it's owned by Hasbro and they've revealed they have plans for cinematic movies that are connected to tv shows (which is another reason why it won't count with any of the established story elements from the 2017 movie). As a PR fan, I enjoyed the movie. At that point in time, we had been getting very kiddy style of writing for the actual show that didn't focus on characters at all and was all about the suits, the megazords and all the things casuals wanted out of the 2017 movie. For most fans, getting something that was more character focused came as a treat though we all agree we needed more power rangers action in the movie as well. It's unfortunate it didn't perform as expected cause I was interested in the pay off to all their set up 👐. We'll just have to wait for hasbro's version at this point.
Since Hasbro is taking over do you think they will try to create a whole cinematic universe around Power Rangers with crossovers like the show has done?
@@OnMyMindEntertainment yeah it seems they want to rival the MCU and they also own transformers and GI Joe so maybe crossovers between them could also be possible. Fans however are disappointed that the show that has been going on since 93 for almost 28 years is now coming to an end with the newest season in order to do all the new stuff hasbro wants to do with the brand. It'll be cool for people that don't follow power rangers as closely but it's still disappointing to us. 👐
Apart from this movie the only other movie that I’ve seen kinda has vulture looking characters and the white power ranger stops a train from derailing I was so young when i saw that one the last time I saw part of it was when I was 14 and I’m 33. Both pitch meeting and honest trailers was so incredibly funny

I'm don't personally mind the power rangers 2017 movie because here is the thing: number one: you have to built your characters up to understand to get to know them cause this is not the show we know when we were little back then and number two: the tone, I'm don't mind the tone of the film because it's make sense to have a grounded tone like I'm say it's nothing wrong with having cheesy but fun but do want to consist film not just every thing be action, action, action and action because the movie post to be getting to know these people and understand why they are but I'm understand where you coming from it's can be little boring and also getting to long get into their suits tho but it's least you getting know the characters especially in the film and also what interesting tho that the 2 people who play the original Jason & Zack (red ranger and black ranger from the show) whom I'm saw and met when we have a little comic con at my hometown they say they enjoyed the film but overall I'm do like the easter egg when they have the green jacket (which is Tommy) 💚
I think they could've kept the tone and the character moments if each character felt different. The only one that's wasn't so somber and sad looking was Billy. In the show, the team each had things they were dealing with personally, but there were also things we could be happy about and cheer for each character. In this film everyone is a loner for different reasons, that's mad at the world. It's not interesting when every character is essentially the same, just with a different name. So when they get the suits and start fighting Rita and the puttys, I felt nothing because no one really learned a lesson by the end of it. Maybe Jason...lol
@@OnMyMindEntertainment yeah that true but I think the reason they kept them as loners because I'm like say is get to know them and not being friends quickly you know I'm saying but also another thing is that there some more delete scenes from the film you can find on RUclips so I'm think probably that why we don't get much action from the movie and still I'm don't mind the character story driven movies like this because it's least you humanized the characters not just all it's about action or you know the monster of the week like we seen on the show or the 1995 movie
