Saban’s Power Rangers has long been a super popular brand, selling millions of toys and attracting a massive audience to its various shows and movies. With 90’s nostalgia being such a big cash cow, it only makes sense that a modern blockbuster reboot was attempted in 2017.
The 2017 Power Rangers movie does raise some questions though. Like why does it take an hour and a half to even see the titular Power Rangers? How does Rita Repulsa speak English? How did the Rangers know how to form Megazord? What’s up with all the Krispy Kreme references? Why does Jason keep having car accidents anytime the plot needs to move forward? Did they really just slap the bad guy into space to save the day?

Honestly, the fact that the good guys win by slapping the bad guy into space makes me want to actually watch this movie. With super hero movies, it often feels like there's stuff that the characters can do to end fights pretty easily but they don't for some reason. The fact that in this movie they just slap Rita into space and that ends the fight is kinda awesome lol.

despite everything, and there was a lot, this was a really fun movie and the lore about Rita being the green power ranger was really interesting.

It's a decision that reeks of studio interference,as it makes no sense in-universe and doesn't eliminate the threat(sequels) and avoids higher age ratings.
we all know everything the power rangers beat explodes, while they pose. it's like, the one thing every single power ranger team shares. (besides morphing and megazords of course)
