@@inaworldfulloftrashbagsbet2023 no shit, Sherlock. I replied to the comment where dude said that she sacrificed for HER realm. And no, she sacrificed only for Andros that time, rewatch the series. Yeah, technically she saved the whole dimension, but Valtor didn't give a damn about it, so it was kinda not really helpful, lol.
Eternal Snow daphne doesn’t possess the power of the dragon flame. They said Bloom was born with the dragon flame, it wasnt passed on from Daphne. Daphne was a Nymph from the start because in season 1 you can see her statue with other Nymphs of the magic dimension. I guess she’s called the Nymph of sirenix because that’s the last transformation level she acquired and its her current transformation level. She isn’t actively trying to acquire any other transformation after sirenix because that transformation is ancient and very powerful so it’s good enough for any mission, trying to get any other transformation is unnecessary. She wouldn’t get Bloomix because the dragon fire was never hers so No acts of courage would make her a bloomix fairy, no one gave her a piece of the dragon flame either and she wasn’t actively trying to acquire bloomix
@@tofu_twee i know im months late on this, but aisha being the "fairy of waves" is actually just a bad translation of her powers. in italian she is the fairy of fluids. that's why her power is morphix and isn't actually water. im guessing english speaking markets knew how kids would react to the word "fluids" and decided to just call her the fairy of waves since she's from andros which is like 90% water
@@CrystalArtest That's because Aang is actually 12(give or take 100 years), and the context is meant to be funny, here it was a serious moment and Nick made it a comedy, so yeah it sounds really really stupidly childish..
Nickelodeon made it better. Watched all versions. If you like the og better it’s cuz you grew up with it. I’ve seen all lmao and nick is the only one that isn’t cheesy.
I felt that her character had potential but they treated her for population of season 4 then just threw her away like her story was over like that. We still see her which im kinda happy about but its like shes a backround character with no meaning now! When was the last time she transformed? I wish they put more depth into her character because there was pretty much no point of her even being introduced as a main character in season 4. My rant is them to create characters but give them development and more chances/lines.
I agree. I know it's completely out of order, but I think Roxy should get Butterflix and at least one more animal based transformation as she is a Princess of Animals (or something like that). Since the show hardly did anything with her as a character or royal backstory in general, they easily could had it so Roxy gained the animal based transformations due to being of an animal based kingdom. Again, I know its out of order, but it would be cool if Faragonda said, "I'm not sure how you gained these high leveled transformations Roxy, but perhaps it has something to do with your past." Then we could have either half a season or one season dedicated to Roxy and her kingdom even if she apparently (and sadly) never become a Winx member. Then in another season, they could do a filler episode on Roxy learning what her kingdom expects of her as a Princess. Oh um sorry if I misspelled Faragonda. 😊 Also sorry about saying royal and princess so much. It just irks me the creators apparently forgot Roxy was royal and stuffed her aside as a minir supporting character. Bloom, Stella, and Aisha got noticed as royalty. Why not an episode or three for Roxy? K I'm done ranting. Lol.
I really hate how winx clubs slowly shifted towards flash animation in season 4 until it went completely flash animation. Like ugh I miss the traditional animation.
Back in Season 4 Rainbow tried a new animation but they quickly saw how bad it was and that the fans would hate it so they switched back to the normal animation from that time. The new animation was in the first 6-7 episodes I think.
the new voice actor for her really pushed it too. The stella i loved was the girl who liked fashion but thought nothing was more important than friends and loved ones.
Shiva, Chandar Chandar yeah but at least bring her back in memory ya feel? Her being motherless have Musa’s so much depth. Form the first season to the third when she had to choose getting the water stars or being with her mom forever. I knew that spoke to alotnof people in the same position
Can we talk about the complete whitewashing of Aisha and flora in the newer seasons? (WOW, season 8) they both went up like 4 shades lighter than before. It's depressing.
They even made Stella's tan lighter .But they did whitewash Layla and Flora smhh. Edit: I had to re-word some thing because i am aparantly super wrong so ok 👌🤷
@@angelicslayer3466 but enchantix song became boring and the lokks were pretty basic tbh i was kinda hppy when it was gone but in season 8 they are gonna bring it back.
Believix was ok. At least it showed why the girls needed it. [Useless against the Wizards of the Black Circle] Then.....season 6 was over and done with.....
*Its season four and bloom pulls a cloth off a painting of the wizards of the dark circle and the main ones eye flashes red* oh great bloom you did done created a new season.
Honestly what always frustrated me when watching winx from season to season, was the fact that villains came from nowhere and were suddenly more powerful than anything the winx have ever faced. When you start out in season 1 (the best season imo) the power of the dragon flame that the trix seek, is supposed to be the most powerful and destructive thing in the universe, especially in the wrong hands. Fast forward to season 2 and this lord darkar, the shadow pheonix is a serious threat and in order to defeat him, the winx need convergence so they go get charmix. Next season it's valtor and enchantix. Up to season 4 it all felt pretty natural. The enemies were actually stronger and the winx had to get stronger too - pretty good power progression. After this, however, the villains were all smallfries with their trix lackeys (honestly those three were doing well enough on their own) and the winx suddenly forgot how to fairy and oh no couldn't defeat the evil smallfries, so now they have to get a new transformation because reasons. Sirenix should have been the end of it, since sirenix was this ancient power, more powerful than anything, that many have seeked but failed. There is only one fairy who obtained this power and it was Daphne - or in other words: you get this, you become a nuke. The world of winx does the power progression in the worst possible ways. By the rules of power progression, the winx should now be the most powerful god tier entities in the universe, but no, suddenly they're incompetent and can't defeat villains who got powers like a day before. They're too much for the winx to handle - yes all six of them, yes six against one - so they require the help of this other person who also got their powers a day before. It's stupid how terrible the power progression is, oh wait there is none, there is only power decline! I'm sorry this rant was a few years in the making, my childhood was pretty much destroyed by nickelodeon.
What are you talking about? Daphne wasn't the only fairy to get Sirenix before the Winx. Just because something is ancient, it doesn't mean it is a nuke. And of course the Winx encountered more powerful enemies, the universe has to stay in balance. So when the Winx overcome a great evil, a new one must be born.
@@alecrego4914 have you seen at least one episode of world of winx? Sirenix was really hyped and supposedly unbelievably powerful. Daphne had it when she faught the ancient witches, and that's a pretty big deal. The way my 13 year-old self remembers, it was specifically stated that Daphne was at the time the only fairy in the world to have Sirenix, so I'm sorry if I made a mistake and that's not the case, but my point still stands.
@@beautyelisa688 @BeautyElisa It was stated that Daphne was the last fairy to acquire Sirenix, not the only. And also, it said that she was friends with Politea, another wielder of Sirenix. And for WOW, they were literally up against legendary god tier Tinkerbell, so of course they struggled to defeat her. And it wasn't about beating her, it was protecting the dreams of Earth, which they couldn't do without their new powers that they acquired in the show.
5 year old me was a big 4kids fan (and despite the cringe factor I still get nostalgic over it), but tbh...winx club needs a netflix reboot (NOT world of winx, I'm really not a fan). Let the characters die, get rid of the season 5-beyond style flash and 3D animation, and don't shy away from the adult shit. A lot of teenage girls (and adults like meeee) would love to revisit the world of winx club without the awful dialogue and dubbers chickening out of the darker stuff.
I don't mind if netflix redos it but they've got to get rid of that babyish dialogue, I swear, if I have to sit through another episode where they explain out everything that's happening instead of developing a deep and interesting plot through word play, I'm going to pull my hair out. WOW had a lot of untapped potential that got messed up purely because of the dialogue. And for the love of everything, use fan ideas, there are thousands of fan created well developed story lines that they could use if they're running out of inspiration. I mean they reused a perfume commercial for goodness sake. Get us into the process!
It's so sad cause Winx club was at its prime in seasons 1-3 and season 4 in my opinion. I hate that they screwed over Roxy because I really like her character and would have been great as a 7th member and I hated that they brought Daphne back to life it was like her sacrifice meant nothing.
“Nearly”?! Lmao it *DID* RUIN These girls are actually adults at this point, each season they aged up 1 year. There’s all of these constant fairy wing upgrades. Question do ALL of the other fairies get these upgrades because the Winx gang aren’t the ONLY FAIRIES EXISTING. There’s THOUSANDS of you guys. Where’s the lore? The shit I fell in love as a kid? I mean I know the 4Kids one I watched was cheesy, but it was still entertaining. Enchantix was said to be their Final Fairy Form. Now we all have like over 7 extra more stages. And the PETS, oh goodness they just give you a cute animal to fawn over and then chuck it in the next season for a NEW PET. Well what worth is it anymore to even care about the pets if you’re just going to rip it out from us? Then there’s the romance drama, ok ... that one time Helia said his gf was a “friend” and doesn’t even have a personality anymore. He used to have a calm demeanor and was just as knowledgeable about plants. Nick made him into this bumbling fool now. The Specialists are just background characters at this point. I’m also disappointed how the cast is basically copies of Bloom. From S1 they all had their own styles specifically Techna(Nonconforming bc of her Winx outfit) and Musa(Tomboy). Overtime they just lost their styles and identity. Flora even looks whitewashed sometimes. Can Winx just end? I don’t wanna see more of the butchering of this franchise.
Oh you forgot this: How to ruin all the background of a série and the main character? Daphné came back, by just giving up their transformation, at the END of the season, and well all know they never use it again.... And it's not even fair, if i learned my lesson from FMA!! Sorry for the mistake i speak french
@@CureSmileful techna and Musa are my favorite since the begening of winx(and leyla/aisha joined) especially for their unique style, différents from the rest of the group, but as the season past, i observe that their cloth style especially began to ressemble the others...
Could we just take a moment and realised that techna was already using VR years before everyone know what it was??? She's truly the fairy of technologie O.o
I think in season 1 it was 2 years because at one point they talked about a summer break, then season 2 was one year, and season 3 was one or two years, I’m assuming 2 because in season one Bloom was 16 and they said that they would be in the school for 5 years.
Yeah I think that's the part that these studios and producers don't get. Kids, especially older kids, know when something has been dumbed down for them and they aren't interested in watered down themes.
@@Neon-Rain Kids are actually smarter and more preceptive then people give them credit why do you think shows with hidden adult jokes and bizarre premises usually do good, Voltron original was doing good... then it was rushed, producers wouldnt let the writers and show runners do their jobs right and look at the cluster fuck we got in the end. This is why i jumped onto anime as kid and some of the OG Cartoon net work and Disney shows, you know the shows that actually were fun and funny and had dark moments we didnt even realize were dark till we were adults and looked back on it going, huh Miss belum... was basically... eye candy... but smart... cool! Or... wow Billy and Mandy in general, hell even chowder had moments!
I remember watching murder documentaries when I was freaking 10 not like it changed me much but it definitely helped me be aware, because most of the cartoons that were out like Teen Titans Go, and other stuff like it really wasn't what I was into especially with the fact that now I'm 14 but still they think were dumb
Now looking back at the first (best) seasons of winx, the show had this anime vibe, that it just couldn't completely show off. It had a good plot and good potential to become something as good as sailor moon, but never had the chance, because just like with any other children oriented series, the focus was on selling toys. Despite it all, Rainbow still tried it's best to make it good and not just some cheap show with bad writing. And then Nickelodeon showed up.
ok i just came up with the best idea. what if they released a rebooted winx series similar to voltron, she ra etc. completely writing the whole series from scratch! changing it to be more for a teenage audience!
It's not about her powers, but her form. Believix is simply less affective underwater. You can be a super-professional water bender, but if you have Believix than you are weaker underwater.
She's not an ocean fairy. She has the power of morphix, which is basically like weird fluids and stuff that she can shape into things. Shes sorta been mismarketed as this water fairy but she's really not.
Daphne also created a huge time incoherence : in the firsts seasons, we see a flashback with adult daphne who teleport baby bloom on earth. we can imagine that Daphne was cursed a little later, and when bloom break the curse, Daphne seems to have kept the same age. okay, we can imagine that during the curse, time as kind of stop for daphne who stopped aging. okay. but then, explain me the fact that in one of daphne's flashbacks, we can see a child Daphne looking at baby bloom in a cradle ? and then, later, Daphne is an adult, and hold baby bloom in her arms ? Daphne can't have grown up in a few day while bloom was still a baby... it litterally has no sense.
As an Italian girl, who grew up with Winx when it was originally aired, I clearly remember being soooooo disappointed while watching the fifth season... I was older then the designed target for that season, but still, it was like watching your childhood being destroyed
Season 3 was the best season and season 4 was the last seasons that was alright to watch... With Enchantix you could feel how powerful they are and now Butterflix🤦🏻♂️
Wtf what butterflix meant to be, they could have done way better with it as it was some special nature transformation (also why wasn’t roxy included... literally the fairy of animals.)
Iginio Straffi said he’d never work with Disney because they sued him over Winx Club saying it was too similar to W.I.T.C.H (ironically another Italian magical girl cartoon that they were distributing here in the U.S) Thankfully Iginio won that lawsuit, but has understandably said that because of that Disney forever lost any chance of working with him.
Nickelodeon was really irresponsible with many topics. Like you said, skipping all the character depth but what upsetted me the most was forcing love interests on Aisha/Layla and bringing back Daphne. My father passed away when I was little and Winx Club had a big influence on me and helped me. When they brought back Daphne, I felt betrayed.
Yeah,Nickeldeon is well known for treating shows that don't instantly catch on like Spongebob like shit. And this is doubly true for any foreign shows they acquire. Later on, they got Miraculous Ladybug and it had the same fate, before it moved to Netflix. I get Nick may have looked like an attractive option to Rainbow because of their reach, but they really should have done some research on how exactly Nick handled their shows.
@Will N Uhh.I don't think Winx Club would work in a FOP crossover. The two shows have way too different tones, genres, and styles of storytelling. The only way i can see it working is if you dialed up the comedy, but even then I don't think the FOP has enough potential for interesting interactions with the WC to work. And what does any of your reply have to do with my OP?
Musa and Tecna should Get more screentime. I feel like the whole series is depending on Bloom for some reason. Also, why won’t the trix have transformations too?
Yeah and when they are on screen, they are so one-dimentional. Main Musa's character traits are missing her mom and being angry at Riven while Tecna has problem with emotions.
@@HazbinCovenWitch well, it ruin all the tragic, drama and a lot of serious atmosphère de could havr in this show, along with throwing out of the window the main backstory and the little développment and deep the character of bloom had. Here's the thing I hate about winx.(I still love the show tho) In the first 3 seasons everyone's outfits are at the diffrent least but now they look to similar to eachother. And techa being the only short haired fairy I hate the they dont use her design to how short hair just as good as long hair and (why the hell did they give musa long hair)

Great video, also thanks for reminding me about Nabu's death aka one of the most upsetting of my childhood. I might need to just be over this corner. Crying.
Winx Club really is due for a full-on reboot that has good character writing and less emphasis on selling toys (Yes, I know World of Winx exists but I consider that more of an AU than a reboot)
I've been saying this forever. Winx Club has become an inconsistent mess character AND worldbuilding wise. A hard reboot with proper direction could help the franchise if done right. Besides,it's not like hard reboots are anything new to toy-based franchises like Transformers or Ben 10
Yeah they need to reboot it till S3 but Rainbow is stubborn, they'd rather milk it and changed the target group to middle school girls bc according to them 'animation is just for kids'. And kids are too dumb for mature themes (bs).
Remember when kids channels y’know, treated their audience like they had more than five brain cells. Nick honestly blew it with this, this really could’ve been a popular series.
That's one thing I loved about Winx Club it was meant to be a coming of age story about the girls growing up and maturing as the series progressed. It was a show that allowed it's characters to grow along with it's audience. Then Nickelodeon fucked that up by having the girls go back to Alfea not even as Professors but as students again. Like what?....Didn't they graduated in the first movie? It makes no sense! That's why I stopped following the series after season 5 cause it just didn't felt the same anymore.
Everyone dont get confused Winx Club was originally teens TV Show if you didn't know but they made it too childish in season 8 Since kids loved the show more they started making it for kids
I hated all the voice actors. They all sounded the same. 4kids voice actors gave them personality and I can tell who’s talking if I closed my eyes. British techna❤️
What makes this baffling to me is why. Pretty Cure was booming and Sailor Moon was coming back stronger than ever with the 20th anniversary bringing the reprints of the manga and Sailor Moon Crystal. So they took the thing that made Winx stand out and stripped it down to be just like those. So it seems like they alienated their fanbase to try and poach a fanbase that was already satisfied
@@M3gur1n3luk4 What on earth was in that comment that made you think they did? Though while I do think Salior moon crystal was't very good, and while I love pretty cure, you have to admit with the exception of a few of their seasons, most of it is pretty fluffy. I guess that's what they meant? That the newer version of winx resembles that instead of a deeper more mature plot like what the original stuff might have.

techna has always given out so many 'i'm super duper lesbian' vibes, and i'm living for that. wish she could do a coming out, she must be tired of faking it for all these years lmao
I still hate Nick because they're a large part of the reason the Neo-Saban era of Power Rangers sucked was. And they're very much the reason each of them had to be split into the normal season and the "Super" season.
14:53 has me dying. I literally never understood how they could say that when it worked seasons before. Like Layla is the fairy of the ocean so does she not swim...
I hate how they just forget everything they can do with beleivix. They have an extra set of wings that allows them to fly faster and another set that allows them to teleport. Imagine how well that would help in a fight. Not to mention how fairy dust could counter Tritanus and his dark pollution magic since he straight up states he;s using dark magic.
Bloom has been 16 since I was 8 and now I'm older than her but y'all be forgetting Ashy Ketchup because he has been 10 since before I was born. Give me more 3 years and I'll be twice his age. Ffs. Life confused. Btw Roxy is a pure soul who must be protected

Luckily the creator of Miraculous, Thomas Atruc, ended the deal with Nick and had Disney distribute the series in America instead. NOTE:I know this comment is a year old,I'm still replying. I feel myself that the series would be better off with a hard reboot, rather than this half-assed soft reboot stuff they keep doing. Partly because rebooting the series from the start could give them the opportunity to try to market it again to the west without having the baggage of needing to catch people up to the series like they had to do with the Nickelodeon deal and partly because I feel the series itself has been inconsistent and retconning lore, worldbuilding, and even characters to the point it's a mess even the early seasons. What was the point again of the stupid Bloom/Sky/Diaspro love triangle, especially since it did NOTHING for character growth and it's never brought up again? (But it definitely got worse in later seasons starting with S5.) So starting over could give the writers an opportunity to streamline the series contradictory lore/worldbuilding and character depictions. However ,this can only work if there was one person in charge who could keep track of the lore/worldbuilding and make sure that the shows world is internally consistent. It doesn't hurt that the series could take advantage of the better tech and make some good 2D and CGI animation for the earlier seasons. So yeah hard reboot the series and this time, give to one of the many streaming services that are around now. Back when Nickelodeon had airing rights, streaming services were only getting off the ground, but in 2020,this isn't the case anymore and there are several streaming platforms that you could shop the series around to. Technically,Netflix does have Winx Club and WoW,but the former doesn't even have ALL the seasons, only the first two and none of the movies either.I don't know if this was because of licensing issues, but it's dumb that you don't even have all the content there,so Rainbow should make sure that wouldn't happen again.
InfiniteDreamer yeah i agree 100% the whole series is so discombobulated and half the plot points don’t align like season one: “over your next 5 years here...” season four: “3 intense years of study...” or season 2: fairies and pixies can bond like sisters and become inseparable season 4: bye forever pixies
Honestly, ending it at season 4 would have been such an awesome idea. Season 1-3 could has been about winx getting their final transformation form and defeating one of the most powerful creatures of the realm. Then season 4 could be like an extra season that shows the winx graduating and living their life on earth while facing one more problem with the fairy hunters. This also means that nabu shouldn’t have been dead so everyone could get their happy ending. However, if they wanted to make more seasons, they should have made season 5-8 all about Roxy getting into alfea and starting her own group. This would make the story so much better.
Winx was a 2d that casually used 3d, then nick vomitted terrible 3d into seasons 4 and 5 so I gave up on watching the show. It's a nice childhood memory
Korra, Winx, and Miraculous Ladybug. What is with Nick and killing cool girl shows?! Nick’s 2012 version of TMNT turned out great and the newest one is looking good( thought is has a much more comical tone than 2012’s). When I was a teen, I loved loved my favorite characters actually growing up. I like them growing with me. The 4kids dub was the first version of the Winx I knew. Even though it changed the script, most of the characters charm shined through. When I heard that Nick was bring it back to the states and the story was continuing, I got excited. Since I had already seen seasons 1-3, the recap specials wired just as intended(for me). I liked the new voices and updated dialogue. Season 4 was good to ok for me but I didn’t like seasons 5 and 6. I don’t mind the cgi( I seem to be very forgiving to tv cgi). When the characters growth and aging went backwards, I noticed. I started to realize that the new season last were not for returning fans, but for a much younger, newer audience. I’m still a bit bitter about that. I didn’t even watch World of Winx and season 8 only got my attention back with my personal favorite villain returning. Was WOW season 7? I still keep an eye on Winx and hope it can recover from the Nick deal.
THIS...the 4kids voice acting sounded like they actually fit the characters. They all had unique wnd rememorable voices. I CAN NOT stand the nickolodean voices for the characters. They all sound the same and have annoying valley girl voices.
Fun Bun 4kids has the most annoying actors Sure the animation was better, I’ll give you that, but man the voices sounded like squeaky 30 year old girls
Hands down 4kids will always be my favorite to watch because I especially loved how the Trix ACTUALLY sounded evil. The voice acting in 4kids was definitely the best and each voice suited everyone in the show as well. Icy's voice in the 4kids dub also sounded the closest to the original subbed Winx which I thought was neat! As for the Rai dub, the Trix voices were a let down unfortunately. The witches sound too bubbly in the Rai dub even though the VAs try making them sound evil (the VAs just have cute voices that don't match the evil personality and nature of their characters). I still like the Rai dub because it sticks to the original script that we don't see on 4kids though. And I'm not even going to watch the Nickelodeon version.
Literally, Season 4 should have been a turning point if they wanted to reboot the series. Have Roxy be the main character, create a whole new group with a new story, and have the Winx Club be supporting characters; professors, royalty, ect. Hell, I'd even be okay with devoting a FIFTH season to the girls finding their place in the world(Bloom becomes Queen with Sky, Aisha deals with her grief involving Nabu, Flora becomes a potions professor or something at Alfea, Techna becomes a leading force in tech improvements on earth, so on and so on), then the last episode ends with Bloom and Sky's wedding, along with "This chapter on our lives closed, but that doesn't mean the story is over. No... It's just time for another tale to begin." We get like a two year timeskip then open season 6/Season 1 reboot where Roxy is enrolled in Alfea and she and her roomates go on new adventures with new villians.
I don't understand why season 8 has the Winx back in alfia and the animation while it looks good sucks in my option why the hell did they not keep the original animation style
Season eight of winx is literally a bad sailor moon copy having a crossover with a mere twinkle precure imitation, who tried to recreate puella magi madoka magica but watered it down so much it didn’t make sense anymore...
This is the second Winx Club video to end up in my suggestions. I've always been sort of fascinated in how incompetent Nickelodeon is with... pretty much anything these days and I even remember witnessing a bit of this destruction when a friend asked me to help her see the season 6 episodes that were only made available on Nick's website (she lives in Europe). Watching the whole video made me got me getting lowkey frustrated at the situation, too. I look forward to hearing the rest of your thoughts on the franchise's history.
Now I know why Muse has the most tragic life and ithe smallest time screen (she didn't even have a sirenix* wish) all because she "doesn't sell many toys"
@@robinsordahl8947 That's not fair because Musa to me was one of the best well-written characters. The fact that she lost her mother at a young age was so sad and when she was given the option to be with her mother over the water stars was one of her best moments because even though she loved her mother and wanted to be with her more than anything she had to make a difficult decision for the sake of the whole magical dimension. This shows how she's willing to sacrifice her happiness for the sake of others. (Looking at you Elise from Sonic 06)
@@robinsordahl8947 Yeah that was just bogus cause Tecna got her emotions back and Stella got her good looks back yet Musa can't have her mother back? That pissed me off.
@@robinsordahl8947 Fair point. If only they did the same did with Daphne. I didn't like that she was brought back. Oh sure Musa's mother must remain dead but Bloom's sister can be resurrected? Talk about hypocrisy.
@@robinsordahl8947 But I thought Iginio wanted to the show to continue the story of the Winx in their early 20s and handling more story elements as well as adult themes to cater to the fan that grew up with the series. After season 4 it looked like the series was going in a new direction and I thought they would expand that in later seasons. Why did he chose for the series to stop doing that? Was it to sell toys?
@@robinsordahl8947 I understand. Thought it is a bit disappointing cause I was looking forward to seeing the girls handing down adult issues while at the same time keeping it kid friendly. And having Roxy join to group. Who knows maybe the series will get a proper reboot (discount Fate: The Winx Saga) where it can start over and revive the series how it originally was meant to be.
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I grew up watching the 4kids version, which I absolutely loved. The episodes would air around 7 in the morning. So when I saw the new version of Nickelodeon......my mind went blank. "Wha...wait wait, where the original voices?! What the with this kiddy slang?!" I was running through my head. Also, I grew up where Aisha's name was Lyla. Nickelodeon why you have to ruin the one show I absolutely loved when I was a kid?!
OMG I loved the first season soooo much. They were so much sassier and had intelligence and personality between their dialogues. They were also relatable by having character flaws and naturally wanting things that I also wanted instead of being watered down to be a generic morality preacher. My unwavering love brought me through season 4 to 5. After that, I just watched for the art. Boy when they changed to that CGI everytime they transformed. The last good thing in the show was gone and I was d o n e
Like in the first couple episodes, Stella was a spoiled troublemaker. She b l e w u p a lab. Now she's like, "I try hard to be pretty and think I have a sense of style so no one can be mean to me!"
In all of honesty, I preferred the 4Kids dubs instead of this goody-two shoes Nick version because I grew up with the 4Kids dub along with my sister. Man such good nostalgic memory!
SAME! I actually remember when Winx first came out on 4kids saturday mornings! Bloom was my favorite in season 1 but in season 2, after the Musas concert at red fountain ep, Musa became my favorite, and she remains my favorite to this day.
I remember vividly the first time Winx aired, I even remember watching the first episode before going to school, and then finding out that every girl in my class has watched it. It was a fever in Italy, everyone was talking about it. And believe me when I say that for Italy was very forward thinking that the group of girls had different ethnicities (since Flora was inspired by Jennifer Lopez and Musa by Lucy Liu and Aisha by Beyonce) - 2004-2005 Italy was not very connected to the internet and not very open-minded. It's a shame it got bad, the 11 year old in me is very sad :c Anyway, very cool video!
I acutally think season 6 was better than season 5 because it had less plot holes, a real plot without childish morals (save animals and nature) and better fairy transformations. Same thing with Mythix over Sirenix, it's simple and 3D exclusive but at least each winx is recognizable and looks like a real fairy form.
@Burning Blaze I mean it's a concept that resembles the typical fairy forms you see in fairytales with wands, all based into one element, Mythix does a great job with that besides the individuality
i remember that they changed layla's name halfway through season four (the season i remember the most) and i got so confused that was an awful decision
Oh, um... apparently y'all really like this one! Thank you so much for watching, I hope you enjoyed. There's going to be another video in the next couple months on where the franchise is now. Unicorn of War - Thomas Vaccaro I hope you talk about the villains and how they just get worse and worse in depth. (I mean worse as in the character writing) and I hope you rate them in a list.
Thank u very much for this docu. The world needed this. Not sarcasm. Hopefully in the future this will make it harder for comcast / Nickelodeon to get their hands on great animated features targeted to young girls from now on.
@@c.lineofficial personally, I was just pissed with stella from season 5 and on!! I would've been talking with her harshly throughout season 5 that she needs to dial it down with the fashion and in season 7 I just would've outright kicked her out of the group entirely
Can we also talk how they messed up the trix like after season 3 and 4 and the first movie, there was actually a lot of room for trix to grow as villains not just side kicks for *again* a male antagonist, but to actually find what tf they gonna do now when Domino is saved and everything seems pretty good.

@Queen Of Hidden Snow Oh i remember sometimes the plot wholes confuse me.
@Eternal Snow or maybe she was cursed the whole time but we didnt know until season 5 lol
Eternal Snow No she wasn’t. She said it was a curse in season 1 too.

Why the hell didn't Roxy get Butterflix. She's literally the fairy of animals
Go Away She transformed once in season 7, but she still had Believix.
Because.... reasons.
@Mostly Animated Sketches I think Roxy didn’t have a believix power because her believix power is incomplete...
Like ugh

Powerful, magical...

I think in season 1 it was 2 years because at one point they talked about a summer break, then season 2 was one year, and season 3 was one or two years, I’m assuming 2 because in season one Bloom was 16 and they said that they would be in the school for 5 years.

You know... this is why American Kids try watching adult swim shows instead of supposed kid shows
Yeah I think that's the part that these studios and producers don't get.
This is why i jumped onto anime as kid and some of the OG Cartoon net work and Disney shows, you know the shows that actually were fun and funny and had dark moments we didnt even realize were dark till we were adults and looked back on it going, huh Miss belum... was basically... eye candy... but smart... cool!
Yes, you're absolutely right on! This show is probably why I enjoy RWBY as much as I do.

Aisha: Ocean Fairy that can't use her powers underwater without special magic.

Wtf what butterflix meant to be, they could have done way better with it as it was some special nature transformation (also why wasn’t roxy included... literally the fairy of animals.)

Mihaela Stojanovska butterflix is the worst transformation and it had the worst powers. And don’t get me started on that DANCE
season 2 was my fave season

When I heard Nickelodeon was getting winx I was so pissed. I knew instantly they would destroy it. Poor winx. They deserved better than that
Nick had the money and resources to make it something really amazing and they fucked it up.
Nick makes girl shows so girly and childish
Yeah,Nickeldeon is well known for treating shows that don't instantly catch on like Spongebob like shit. And this is doubly true for any foreign shows they acquire. Later on, they got Miraculous Ladybug and it had the same fate, before it moved to Netflix.
I get Nick may have looked like an attractive option to Rainbow because of their reach, but they really should have done some research on how exactly Nick handled their shows.
I hate what nick did to winx club my childhood
@Will N Uhh.I don't think Winx Club would work in a FOP crossover. The two shows have way too different tones, genres, and styles of storytelling. The only way i can see it working is if you dialed up the comedy, but even then I don't think the FOP has enough potential for interesting interactions with the WC to work. And what does any of your reply have to do with my OP?
Musa and Tecna should Get more screentime. I feel like the whole series is depending on Bloom for some reason. Also, why won’t the trix have transformations too?
The Trix DO have transformations given to them from the season's main villains.
In the earlier season, everyone got their time on screen and was developed as well, and then, Daphné came back....
@@fandemanga3378 What's wrong with that? I was glad that she came back.
Yeah and when they are on screen, they are so one-dimentional. Main Musa's character traits are missing her mom and being angry at Riven while Tecna has problem with emotions.

Winx Club really is due for a full-on reboot that has good character writing and less emphasis on selling toys
(Yes, I know World of Winx exists but I consider that more of an AU than a reboot)
I've been saying this forever. Winx Club has become an inconsistent mess character AND worldbuilding wise. A hard reboot with proper direction could help the franchise if done right. Besides,it's not like hard reboots are anything new to toy-based franchises like Transformers or Ben 10
Now they have one coming up and it seems like its gonna suck
Yeah they need to reboot it till S3 but Rainbow is stubborn, they'd rather milk it and changed the target group to middle school girls bc according to them 'animation is just for kids'. And kids are too dumb for mature themes (bs).

Nickelodeon.. not everything is supposed to be a children’s show
ik... it wasnt meant for kids it was meant to bring magic back for teen-agers. Since thats when people loose their imagination....
This IS a kids show, though the appeal (For the first 4 seasons) can reach kids and teens.

(But it definitely got worse in later seasons starting with S5.)
So starting over could give the writers an opportunity to streamline the series contradictory lore/worldbuilding and character depictions.
InfiniteDreamer yeah i agree 100% the whole series is so discombobulated and half the plot points don’t align like

season 4: bye forever pixies

Honestly, ending it at season 4 would have been such an awesome idea. Season 1-3 could has been about winx getting their final transformation form and defeating one of the most powerful creatures of the realm. Then season 4 could be like an extra season that shows the winx graduating and living their life on earth while facing one more problem with the fairy hunters. This also means that nabu shouldn’t have been dead so everyone could get their happy ending. However, if they wanted to make more seasons, they should have made season 5-8 all about Roxy getting into alfea and starting her own group. This would make the story so much better.
It’s Was original plan for ending of the season 1-3 but I don’t know why the nickelodeon use winx club

Winx was a 2d that casually used 3d, then nick vomitted terrible 3d into seasons 4 and 5 so I gave up on watching the show. It's a nice childhood memory
I felt like they dragged the whole "sirenix quest" for like most of season 5 because they really didn't know what to do with that season!
You do realize that the Sirenix quest lasted for only 7 episodes right? The Codex from season 2 was dragged throughout the whole season

No... It's just time for another tale to begin."
We get like a two year timeskip then open season 6/Season 1 reboot where Roxy is enrolled in Alfea and she and her roomates go on new adventures with new villians.
I don't understand why season 8 has the Winx back in alfia and the animation while it looks good sucks in my option why the hell did they not keep the original animation style
very good option
Ikr. I think the new animation style would be better for a reboot instead of the same story line or same universe.
They look like some 5 yr old kids with the new animation style😔
@@linhthai611 which is odd considering how good the trix and valtor look
The first three season are easily the best. 4th is okay. Everything after that is pandering trash, especially season 5.
Fräulein Zuckerguss tru tru
When season 5 is my fav season-
CookiePlayz no offense but that’s the worst one🤣🤣
@@cookieplayz2162 I thought I was the only one that
Neva Moshref no season 1-4 are
OMG I loved the first season soooo much.
Winx RAI Version will forever be my childhood. Nickelodeon Winx never existed... 😌✨
YESSS
In all of honesty, I preferred the 4Kids dubs instead of this goody-two shoes Nick version because I grew up with the 4Kids dub along with my sister. Man such good nostalgic memory!
Same! :)
SAME! I actually remember when Winx first came out on 4kids saturday mornings! Bloom was my favorite in season 1 but in season 2, after the Musas concert at red fountain ep, Musa became my favorite, and she remains my favorite to this day.
Same
I remember vividly the first time Winx aired, I even remember watching the first episode before going to school, and then finding out that every girl in my class has watched it.
It's a shame it got bad, the 11 year old in me is very sad :c
Anyway, very cool video!
I said they should let Disney buy the franchise and show reruns on Disney XD and Disney+ . They could produce World of Winx Season 3, and Season 9
@Andy Fennell then who? Cartoon Network? Oh plz.
@@Dave102693 Cartoon Network will turn it into something immature and fill it with fart jokes most likely.
Rai or 4kids. The end. NICKELODEON SUCKS
@@antontrockenbrot8465 At least Disney will acquire Winx Club instead not that crappy Marvel thing
i remember that they changed layla's name halfway through season four (the season i remember the most) and i got so confused that was an awful decision
Aisha was her original name. They whitewashed her name in the dubs to layla
Aisha is literally her original name...
7:16 let's just casually watch musa and her boyfriend making out in the background...mhm mature themes here.
u see Rivens hand? No? Just me?
yeah he was touching musa’s b00ty
Have you seen total drama? Lol
Oh, um... apparently y'all really like this one!
Thank you so much for watching, I hope you enjoyed. There's going to be another video in the next couple months on where the franchise is now. If you'd like to support the channel further, be sure to check out the first two parts of this documentary series: ruclips.net/p/PLO_82NsgUn9jUEDDPq6lAzd0qBhKnoB3o
Thank you for talking about this I always wanted to here someone talk about it
blame the reccomended oof
Unicorn of War - Thomas Vaccaro I hope you talk about the villains and how they just get worse and worse in depth. (I mean worse as in the character writing) and I hope you rate them in a list.
Hasta la quinta temporada todo estuvo bien
Thank u very much for this docu. The world needed this. Not sarcasm. Hopefully in the future this will make it harder for comcast / Nickelodeon to get their hands on great animated features targeted to young girls from now on.
I hate what they did to Stella’s character😭
Me too. I'm a Stella stan!
@@c.lineofficial personally, I was just pissed with stella from season 5 and on!! I would've been talking with her harshly throughout season 5 that she needs to dial it down with the fashion and in season 7 I just would've outright kicked her out of the group entirely
What did they do..?
Can we also talk how they messed up the trix like after season 3 and 4 and the first movie, there was actually a lot of room for trix to grow as villains not just side kicks for *again* a male antagonist, but to actually find what tf they gonna do now when Domino is saved and everything seems pretty good.
I don't mind the Trix as sidekicks in seasons 2 and 3, but in season 5 and 8... Ehhhh...
