I’m still bitter about Roxy. Even as a kid who didn’t understand writing and the behind the scenes stuff, I found it stupid that Roxy was essentially nerfed in season 7.
@Will N it feels like they wanted to include Roxy for the nostalgia, but didn’t want to make her an official member/didn’t want to acknowledge season 4 cuz it was too dark for the season 7 kid/toddler tone they were going for.
@@harryfailsgaming1246 They didn't want to acknowledge season 4s darkness, but also went through all of season 5 having Layla feel guilty about "letting Naboo die" and refusing to get involved with a new guy because of his death. Hypocritical af to me. I think they took her out because when season 4 originally came out, alot of the old fan base thought she was going to join as an official member or potentially replace Bloom so she wasn't a well liked character at the time
I feel bad for saying this, but Winx Club just isn't Winx Club anymore, and it won't ever be at this point. I accept that Rainbow changed a lot of stuff because it's their show, but it isn't what I grew up with at all. World of Winx was good though. I would've rather had some more seasons of that, but it got cancelled. My greatest wish is that they would bring back their old writers and crew and would reboot the story after Season 4. I'd love to see one or two more seasons which are darker. Musa would continue their musical dream, Roxy would grow further in personality, the Trix would be ended for good instead of coming back everytime, and Bloom and Sky would finally marry. The rest of the Winx would also find more purposes in life. Flora would probably become in charge of the Love and Pet shop. I wouldn't mind Daphne returning to life as long as she still fulfills her role as Bloom's big sister and guide. Egh, it makes me sad there's so much they could've done if they had sticked to their old style. Anyway, sorry for the rant. It's nice to have this series still exist, but the old series will always keep a special place in my heart.
I agree with most of what you said. But definitely minus Daphne resurrection. I loved the idea of the second movie of Daphne being a spirit guide. She could appear from pools and water and give Bloom a shoulder to lean on
How i imagine them Bloom: become mature, become Queen of eraklyon, help her mother, healing people Stella:marry and become a designer Flora: marry, love&pet with roxy, having kids with helia, living on earth Roxy:discover herself, love&pet with flora, living on earth, earn enchantix Layla: trying to revive nabu searching for a new power ALONE Tecna: inventing things with Timmy, living in zenith together, marry Musa: music career, end with Riven, being an independent woman Trix Icy- trying to save her sister, become a powerful witch, hn.. Darcy- idk Stormy- idk Other characters Diaspro: Become mature, a model because she is beautiful. She uses stella's creations Crystal: become queen of linphea Edit: srry for my english
IKR when ever I watch a episodes with them my eyes start to hurt and I get confused about if this is the Specialists or some 10 year old specialist-wannabes -_-
what bothered me the most about the new art style is how much lighter aisha and flora’s skin tones are. ik ppl are saying its because of the color palette but still, you can change a color palette without whitewashing characters (especially flora, who looks straight up white)
Jeremy Jones there’s a thing called diversity. Not every Latina has black hair and dark eyes. My friend’s Latina and she has brown hair and with brown eyes.
@Jeremy Jones So like my best friend growing up was latina, mother was from Mexico and dad was from Puerto Rico. She had just about the same skin color as I did and I'm fair skinned. It's ignorant as fuck to just assume that all latinos looks a certain way when latin america is actually a pretty diverse set of MULTIPLE countries, each with their own background. I get what you're saying because Flora's sister appears to be more white which makes me think that Flora might have just had a tan, and calling her latina when she's from a completely different planet is dumb too, but like c'mon, man.
I don’t get why people keep trying to defend it because “lighter” colors when season 5 did the whole pastel thing with Harmonix and a decent amount of the scenery/outfits but Flora/Aisha didn’t suddenly become white then.
Yeah i want tem to reboot from s6 and we will be good and DO NOT COVER THE BELLY BUTTON CUZ 1 IT IS NOT INNOPROPIATE 2 IN S8 IT LOOKS LIKE ITS FORCED AND LOOKS BAD AND 3 STOP THE WHITE WASH.ok im done
I thought the same thing and tbh they made flora and Aisha look mixed and it is low-key pissing me off. I don't understand why they did a complete make over over the entire cast
well these are some things I would love if rainbow to change 1. bring back the old art style like the art style from season 2-3 is actually really good 2. ignored season 5-8 story plot and continue the plot from season 4 onwards 3. have a more dark & mature theme would be nice 4. make Roxy a official 7th winx club member (she had so much potential to become a winx and is obvious that the Writers initially want her to be part of winx before the nick collaboration)
First of all, the 5-7 season plot, including WOW, is awesome. About season 8, I wish it never existed. Roxy isn't, and will never be considered a member of the Winx, since she was really hated back in season 4 by most fans, and, she's also useless. Why would anyone need a fairy of animals while fighting villains? Well, in season 7 she helped a bit - but that's it.
Remember that Roxy never wanted to be a fairy and she initially didn't want to be a winx. I would've liked to see the fairies get some more transformations....the school is stuck in season 1 and Roxy is stuck in season 4.
The point is that they brought the Trix back from certain doom THREE TIMES. They brought all of Domino back. They brought Daphne back. Now they brought Valtor back. They could bring Nabu back next season if they felt like it. Also, remember when Enchanrix was supposed to be the final fairy form? The Winx have gotten EIGHT froms beyond that by now. That's more than Dragonball has Super Saiyan forms! This series is long past the point where anything could be considered "final".
Agreed, before his voice actor and his looked amazing, now just no, also when did he ever make the Trip under his control? They abandoned him in the second to last fight with the Winx.
The redesign made them look generic. I felt like I was looking at those generic notebooks girls get. No personality at all. The background art is pretty good, but I don't enjoy the soft pastel they did for the characters, Aisha and Flora skin colors bother me a lot. Flora is almost in the same shade of skin color as Bloom. Overall I'm going to watch it when the Brazilian dub comes out because they at least are keeping the same cast.
I respectfully disagree. Flora and Aisha's skin tones are the same as usual but it's paler because of the pastel palettes being used. Like, it's not just them that got lighter. _Everyone_ got lighter
100% DONE I mean there’s no thing wrong with acting or looking like a girl. It’s just the fact that they look like 12 year olds even though they are older than that.
The thing that annoys me about Winx is that no other characters get new transformations apart from the Winx. How realistic is it that six fairies out of 100s have like 8 transformations? Also I swear it said in season 3 or that seasons movie that to graduate Alfea you had to get your enchantix form?
@@hamham4904 Roxy should be a senior at Alfea as of Season 8. It is really annoying that no other Fairy gets a new transformation. Now Daphne might not be able to get another one because she's the Nymph of Sirenix and she probably can't go past Sirenix.
@@shivachandar8473 This is literally one of the biggest plot holes in the show that no other Fairy so far has gotten new transformations. Heck I wonder which transformation Faragonda has.
It did say that in Season 3 and the first movie. Now they added so many more transformations and they STILL attend Alfea. After 8 seasons and 3 movies.
It wasn't a "maybe they're flirting" moment in s4, the girls were *actively* flirting with Andy and his friends, with Stella deliberately egging Bloom towards Andy despite knowing that Bloom was ENGAGED to Sky. I've always hated the petty romantic drama in Winx Club, but season 4 especially pissed me off with the general attitude of both the Winx and Specialists.
I agree, I got mad on both sides. The guys should really trust the Winx more. But the Winx also shouldn't be kissing other guys cheeks. Sky and Bloom really need to get married in my opinion.
@@potatojesus2565 haha, so true though, in S8 when I saw the "relationship problem" thing I was about to write a complaint to rainbow, not even kidding you.
I liked Roxy and Rainbow all of a sudden writes her out. I don't think so, not right now, they are running Winx Club, so they need to rewrite her!😡😤😡😤😡😤😡😤
cant remember what season but they were in sirenix.it said that darcy and stormy r not sisters with icy .But refer to eachother as sisters but you correct
But they made the girls return to Alfea despite the fact that they graduated in the first movie and made them act like teenagers. Also... I'm tired of seeing the Trix again. It was fun seeing them in the first three seasons, but it's time to move on. They remind me of those stupid Team Rocket trio from the Pokemon anime cause trouble for the protagonist and friends and they won't cease at anytime. And I also thought of something. Why Sky's ex-girlfriend is brought back? I thought she was banished from Season 3 after brainwashing Sky. If she did return, I want her as a genuine villain in attempt to destroy Bloom and try to win back Sky by making him a mindless love slave once more. If only the creator didn't work with Nickelodeon in the first place... we'd get more awesome stories and mature themes that viewers of all ages would enjoy.
To be fair, Rainbow shouldn't be working with other cartoon companies that are too "child friendly" in the first place. And who cares if these shows doesn't air in America? This is the 21st century and most people have access to the internet and you can easily watch an English dub on these shows. Same with anime.
35:11 "At least Winx Club now has an idea of what it wants to be." I think the problem is that most fans of the show are still the old fans and they don't want the same. At the same time, Rainbow fails at reaching the new, younger audience they want to focus on. Only if they would just accept that and try to please us by making the show like the golden era again..
I sadly see this happening with a few series lately going into the next season and the companies trying to recreate the magic. Honestly it would've imo been smarter to just cut the current Winx, give them their retirement and a position as teachers/guardians for a new gen lead by Roxy. Would've preferred that a lot to making all the characters a generic genericson and basically recycle all the past seasons.
Saporatus that would have been actually interesting asf, just imagine a battle scene were the new generation is struggling at defeating an enemy and the winx shows up ( obvisouly they’re older and adults by now) and ending the enemy in one sec...the potential this series had i--
@Will N Could be that a actually makes for a much nicer journey. I was really confused back then because they made Roxy a sort of prodigy as the only fairy of Earth and her affinity for animals and then the season concerning magical animals didn't have her in it at all whereas I thought at the beginning "Oh, they're going to slowly switch to a new group.".
And this is why i'll always be grateful with the new Phineas and Ferb movie on Disney+ that was released back in 2020. As a massive fan of the show, i love how the creators didn't double down any single character in the movie because they knew fans of the beloved characters are adults now and would still do their best in trying to appeal the the good old fans like me. And for the most part it really worked, the nostalgia of having Phineas and Ferb show still works because it's the characters i always knew and grew up loving it. It has fan services but not in a way that ruin the arc and legacy of the show
I think we're at the point where this series needs either a HARD reboot or the Powerpuff Girls Z treatment. And could we get a proper magical girl anime writer on that, maybe?
And Roxy needs a Selkie and Fairy Animal. If y'all didn't know this Earth has a Selkie named Phylla(that's her real name). She can be Roxy's bonded Selkie. Now Pixie, I don't know, same for a potential Fairy Animal.
@@caqui1993 it really does not make sense AT ALL. Chatta and Stella are both loud and talk a lot. And Amore and Flora are soft hearted, and think about emotions more. So it's kind of weird how they bonded with literally barley of the same interest.
I noticed that Stormy and Darcy aren't anywhere in Icy's new backstory. I'm sure they're going to probe into Darcy and Stormy's backstory eventually and then we'll get a season about freeing Icy's homeworld and then whatever problem is in Darcy's past and then Stormy's.
Ben Conners actually Darcy gave off some hints. In one of the episodes when they talked about why they wanted to be the most powerful witches she mentions that she wants to create a world of illusions. She also showed lots of insecurities for the longest time. I think either she was not loved in her world and wanted to replace it with her own ideal world of illusions or something along these lines. I am excited for season 9 and to see how they grow. The Trix basically keep this show alive.
I think icy’s problem will probably be far greater than stormy and Darcy simply because they didn’t have big reactions to icy’s problem like something similar happened to them Also Iginio Straffi said he knew the story’s till winx club season 10 even if it wasn’t renewed yet the story’s there It took 3 seasons to save domino at the beginning of Winx club It might take 3 seasons to free diamond
Well as far I figure they gave us hints for the trix backstory in the last 3 episodes 24 icy meets her sister 25 when the shaman witch appears there’s constantly lightning in the back ground hinting that they are from the same place also she seemed to be in a hurry to leave diamond 26 Darcy mentions the world of illusion hinting that she prefers illusions of reality
Ben Conners That’s because her retconned backstory largely contradicts the entire series. And honestly I hope that never happens, I just want the Trix gone at this point. I’m sorry but the Trix *aren’t* heroes in the slightest, the fact that they tried to retcon Icy into being a woobie with a sad backstory is mind boggling, because she was already beyond redemption by the end of Season 7. Trying to make Icy sympathetic while ignoring her crimes, which includes several attempts at murder done simply for fun, is just the worst thing you could do to a character who was one of Winx Club’s best villains. They should’ve just kept them locked away in Season 8 because it’s better than having their characters distorted to the point of being unrecognizable. And let’s be real here, they’ve overstayed their welcome, nearly all seasons after the first feature the Trix teaming up with the main villains of that season, that’s making the concept of them doing so in the future wear out its welcome.
🍵🍵🍵 Musa and the winx:We are here for you riven and we will welcome you back when you are ready Riven comes back Riven:I'm back Musa and winx:Yeah...We hate you!!
Okay potentially stupid question: If you want the show to star teenagers atending magic school and avoid the characters aging... Why not just make a sequal series staring a new group of characters? Okay I know the answer is: Because the audiance likes the current characters and wants to keep watching them but here me out: You're aiming the show at a new group of kids anyway so why not make a new cast, you can have the old ones cameo and stop bending the space time continum over a barrel and smashing it's head in with a crowbar repeatedly. also you could just pull a YUGIOH and add a subtitle to the series to clearly seperate it and make it it's own seperate thing which is less likley to piss off old fans.
Simply put, they wanted to try and bank on nostalgia and iconography. Kinda like how pokemon games love to focus on stuff from the first generation of pokemon while ignoring that 20+ years that came after it.
@@hoshihime9835 yeah, I get that its hard for shows and overhauling the status quo can piss people off... But sometimes its better to just bite the bullet and do it
@@playererror4044 It wouldn't have been hard at all. Just make expies for the start and develope them into their own characters later. That way the writers can stick to a familiar character type but do things with that character they couldn't do with whom said character is an expy of.
If they wanted to reboot or retool the show so badly...Why not just let us have the kids of the mains? The girls have graduated by now, so let us see that! Let's see Tecna's Daughter have to deal with emotionally distant parents, Musa trying to be a mother to her daughter but messing up. Stella having a son that wants to badly to be like his mom and less like his dad but can't. Bloom's Daughter having to deal with the fact that her mom has the power of life itself. Something! And if you have to give me Valtor again, let him be Valtor!
@@kimberly_5682 I mean... It looks a little fucked if you do a redesign to make everyone look younger to then stick them in the og outfits. Not saying the old outfits are bad just sayin' it's a bad look.
@@kimberly_5682 because its more targeted at toddlers instead of preteens/teens like the original. I mean Stella’s S1 outfit admittingly is a bit too revealing considering the top looks more like a bikini top instead of a haltertop shirt. It’s kinda weird in S5 Tecna’s navel is actually shown, considering all the other’s aren’t, and Tecna’s style isn’t like that. I mean in S4 that’s something I really hated about Believix at first was the clothing were designed to be less revealing, I mean Bloom has these dumb sleeves that extended all the way to her elbows.
Oh boy... Aside from the Winx and Specialists looking like 10-year-olds in spite of being in their early 20's at this point, and the Winx having their Enchantix forms made to be more conservative (they were 18 when they earned that form, legal adults. And Stella was 19, since she had been held back a year)... Icy's "backstory" is garbage. Icy had been the most heartless of the Trix and had no problem committing evil acts, which included numerous attempts at murder. Icy, Darcy, and Stormy were simple witches who wanted to be powerful and didn't care who they hurt as long as they could achieve greatness. That was it. They didn't need to be anything else. They didn't need some angsty backstory to explain their actions. They were so evil that they had to be thrown in a monastery in an attempt to reform them, and when THAT didn't work, they were sent to the Omega Dimension where only the baddest of the bad are sent. THEN they were left sealed inside the Legendarium at the end of season 6. And at the end of season 7, the Winx had to seal them in limbo OUTSIDE OF SPACE AND TIME because their crimes were THAT heinous. And not ONCE during all this, did Icy ever mention some alleged princess status or how her so-called home world got taken over. She didn't want to save some home world of hers, she wanted to take over the Magic Dimension, as she stated many times when an opportunity to do so presented itself. This "backstory" is a retcon to screw with the continuity and ruin a character's established characterization for the sake of forced sympathy and a so-called "redemption". They really should’ve just made a reboot show instead of making more seasons if they’re going to mess with the continuity like this. They should've let the show die already, but they just want to keep milking this cash cow.
@@3rebella And like, the main problem isn't that people LIKE it, there are those who ACTUALLY believe that this shit was planned from the start... even though literally everything in the show says otherwise, including Icy trying to murder Bloom as early as episode 3, and the creator originally intended for the show to end after the third season.

I feel like Winx should go for a precure/power rangers route, where each new season should center in a new group of fairies, or witches, build them up and have all of them be in the same universe with previous characters as cameos or have them crossover in special episodes. This way they can have a younger team for the target audience, and let the old ones get older. Imagine, we are in season 15, we have our fifth new team and there is this bad guy and bring back the old girls, and is this huge thing because we haven't seen them at all in years, and they are back ready to show the newbies how things are done.
I honestly think if they want to keep the Winx at 16 for their whole life then they should make a series of just 16 year olds and actually make the Winx mature over time. In the first movie it was Bloom's 18th birthday, which means by now they should be around 26-28?

And not even kidding you, when I saw all this fighting between Sky and Bloom I was about to run to Rainbow and write a complaint. XD I know, I care that much about their relationship.
Yep. And if you look at previous seasons, Flora’s eyes were also relatively more narrow in shape compared to the majority (kinda similar to Musa). Given Flora was meant to look Latina, it made me really sad to not only see the whitewashing but also the erasure of the ethnic features in season 8, as a latina with narrow eyes myself 😔
Just wanted to make an addendum. I don't recall if I made them here or in another video, but my comments in general trying to downplay the whitewashing are flat out unacceptable. Rainbow deserves to be called out for it just as I should be called out for trying to minimize the problem and play both sides. Flora and Aisha deserve to have their original darker skin tones back and trying to make them appear lighter is wrong.

The main rage against Icy's backstory was that if it is meant to make her sympathetic, it failed utterly with all she had done in the past 7 seasons and the movies. Secondly, the Trix were supposed to be blood triplets according to the early storyboards to parallel their ancestors, something that Icy's backstory contradicts by adding a 4th sister while not mentioning Stormy and Darcy.
I wish they stopped after season 3, that was honestly the best season of Winx in my option. Also had the best villain (with that sexy, sexy voice), Who actually had interesting motives and an actual coherent plan.
it was supposed to end after season 3, they decided to continue it. my fav season was 4, then 3! i feel like after season 4 it fell off.. i rlly love the winx show but like i think the other companies messed up my beautiful show )’:
My thoughts, too. I thought they were triplets... but I think that was some "I know we said that but we have a better idea now!" thing. That can go both ways.
@@georginasparks6867 Yeah, but many religious people call each other brother or sister without being biologically or legally siblings. One coven I went to a few times had basically everyone calling each other sister (they were really TERFy though, that's why I left). It's still weird they would change it up, though.
ValerieRaya The problem with that is that the Trix were written as *biological siblings* in the previous seasons, the creator behind this series even said so. And they mentioned that their ancestors were the Ancestral Witches, Icy even told Bloom smugly that her ancestors destroyed her home, which contradicts the retcon that they aren’t sisters.
S8 icy has a backstory S3 the trix fall into that river that reverses time (the episode where flora got her enchantix) and they look like younger versions of themselves. But icy didn’t look like that in the backstory i- what?
Even though you have made good points in your video, I'm still upset about three things of this whole season: *First:* They made villians, such as the trix, look like the team rocket, and they are impossible to be taken serious, since they are always beaten humoristically. Season 7 wasn't the best at all, but the trix were powerful as hell there, since the Winx wouldn't have been able to beat them if it wasn't up for their fairy animals. *Second:* They ruined two of the iconic transformations ever. Enchantix and sirenix. But specially, they screw it up with sirenix, making the sequence slower, shorter, and removing all of those camera moves, those changes of angles, and alive transitions that made sirenix look like an active transformation... even their moves are plain compared with the original sirenix... But the worst was inventing a new power called "crystal sirenix". I renember that in season 5, there was an episode where they could perfectly use in Zenith, their normal sirenix transformation, and Zenith is supposed to be a cold planet, so I don't know what's that about. I bet they're gonna steal people's money selling "Crystal sirenix" dolls. *Third and last thing:* There IS white washing, it's not a general change of color palette. Flora and Aisha were white washed, but not other character besides them. Timmy, Darcy, or even Bloom aren't pale, so we can conclude that this was just applied with some specific characters of the show.
I will say that the reason why I think season 3 Valtor is a more imposing and threatening character, other than his relation to Bloom and being an overall Master manipulative. Is that he doesn't go after just one thing, like the trix going after the dragon flame and Darkar after the codex. He goes after any type of magic. But also that he instead of sending henchmen out to do his dirty work for him, again with the trix and Darkar, he is actively doing it himself, and rarely gives other people big and vital assignments. He often just sends them off to fight, But he himself will go out and make deals and get magic himself. And thats why I found him more interesting and imposing than many other villains that came after him (and even before him), because they one way or the other fall into the two points above.
It’s all about milking a cashcow. Similar problems with movie series like Swan Princess were most of the CGI movies don’t even have Derek and Odette as the main characters anymore, let alone show WHY its called the swan princess. Even worse is a lot of the stories include stupid ideas to make it more modern (a cookoff or basically American Idol, really?!) at least in the most recent movies where they go to China, it does reintroduce Far Longer Than Forever and how Odette broke the spell on her, though I was so mad she didn’t actually become a swan again, considering in the most recent movie the villain was a sorceress and attempted to kill the princess, and I would’ve loved to see Odette almost dying as a swan again protecting her, considering it happened in the 3rd movie. Other examples are How to Train Your Dragon: Nine Realms where it doesn’t take place in the Viking era with Hiccup’s kids/descendants but instead the 21st century. Same with Spirit: Riding Free where the horse Spirit is actually his son (probably descendant instead) BUT is tamed by an ignorant city girl, completely ignoring and ruining the message of the original story

Fair idea, but this is a lot to work with, just to make sure all the villains are properly threatening for an equal amount of time, and all the reasons why they come back from whatever ‘eternal prison’ they may have been sent to make sense. It’s a lot to write and keep coherent. I do agree that some continuity between seasons would be wonderful to have again.
Winx Club used to be my favorite show when I was younger, but I’ve always loved to rewatch it. The thing is, after season 5, I’m just... wtf happened. The creator says they had to lower the demographic, but I don’t think so. Honestly, how did this amazing show go from: “for teens” to “for pre-schoolers.” The worst part is that there’s ANOTHER season coming out. I love this show, but it should have ended SOOO long ago.
Nickelodeon happened and they made everything childish. Oh and don’t forget “oh won’t somebody please think of the children” kind of parents. Original Winx Club seasons1-3(+first movie) are the best. Season 4 is good, 5 is kinda ok but 6-8 are completely trash.
I feel like in terms of animation, the Specialists were made too skinny and look like middle schoolers. The Trix and Valtor look the most like their old designs.
The redesign of the winx kills me especially of the specialists I just wanna see Stella’s marriage as well as blooms (Stella is my fave) but if they keep watering it down to be kid like this series will go very down hill
i needed that fairy dust insert to get me through the horrors of comparing aisha and stella's new enchantix designs. (stella's isn't that bud, but comparing it to her original- trash. and to me they did aisha DIRTY by making her look like that)
Honestly, the art style would be good in a new series like showing their previous life before season1 happened. Like Bloom being normal, Stella facing her family problems, Aisha being to pressured in being a princess, Musa and her mom and the whole reason why she died and flora and miele growing up together. Then in season 1 is when they all meet!
Fa Mulan true, since the whole purpose of getting sirenix was that they could go deeper into the ocean ( which immediately translates to colder...) and enter the ifinite ocean.... BUT lets just forget that!? i guess rainbow🤷🏽♀️
What I want to see in season 9 : -The winx will together with roxy save the earth -Wizard of the black circle without duman return -make people believing magic again -gain believix and bloomix power again -new powerful fairy form -new fairy appear -roxy use white circle power again
@maya nobody's know the date release but there is rumor saying it will be premier on next year (september 2022) with new style which is 3D animation i think so and with new format (52 episodes in 13 minutes).
The confusing thing for me is that stars are portrayed as small planets rather than, you know, actual fucking stars! As crazy as the series got, it never went so far as to completely throw real world science out the window. Everyone knows the Sun is a giant ball of flaming gas, but Season 8 not only makes it solid, it's smaller than the Earth. Like seriously, [Insert Butterflix Meme Here]! I guess you could argue that it's a similar concept to Mini-worlds, but that really stretching it.
The show Ninjago I'd say is a good example of a soft reboot. And one done right from the most. Sure the fandom was pretty mad for a short bit because it had taken designs after the movie. Along with changing the voice actors of characters. But the newer seasons(8-11) are considered the best yet. With Winx I feel like they are trying to hard to appeal the older fans, instead of sticking to it's guns. In an attempt to get it's footing. The show at most points feels like it's talking down to the audience, which even in younger kid shows is a big no no. With the references to the past seasons being like a set of keys being jingled in our faces, trying to keep our attention. The reason I mentioned Ninjago about being a soft reboot that works is because they didn't drop what the were doing from the beginning, the writers actually listen to the fans' critique. And try to fix the issues in the next season. They learn and grow, but aren't afraid to tell the fans what's what and stick to what they got. I feel like the Winx could really stand to try this method. Or something similar to it at the least. Because we know Winx is capable of so much more. But it seems after the Nick deal, Rainbow has seemed to forget that. These are just some things I have noticed and feel. All highly speculated and opinionated. Thank you for reading the rambles of a rando on the internet. Have a lovely rest of your day.
The whole Crystal Sirenix thing opens up a plot hole when you wonder where Crystal Sirenix was during season 5 when they went to a super cold Zenith, for an episode!
I mean, when they used Enchantix for miniaturization, technically Believix can do that too, which is ever so stupidly revered as more powerful than Enchantix (not just on Earth) I think the unspoken rule is each new form is more powerful than the previous, so logically Cosmix is their most powerful form yet. I don’t agree one bit considering how ugly some of the forms are in comparison to Enchantix and Winx
Yeah, when I saw the Sky and Bloom relationship problems I'm not even joking I was about to write a complaint to Rainbow. They also need to get married.
Here's what Rainbow needs to do if they want to make Winx Club great again. 1) revert back to the old art style ( if it ain't broke, don't fix it) 2) re-animate the first 4 seasons to improve graphics and other things 3) for season 4 it needs a bit more tweaking. Episodes should be longer. Roxy's character needs more fleshing out and showing her actually bonding with each of the Winx to prepare her as the 7th member 4) Roxy's importance needs to upgrade in S4 to save the terrestrial fairies. She should go through the basic winx and enchantix in fast, but steady pace before earning Believix but still inexperienced with magic to give her a reason to attend Alfea 5) retcon seasons 5-8 to make it more darker and intense with Roxy involved 6) for WOW it should be added in the main series in later seasons 7) make the fairy forms unique and fashionable again and yes revert to the old designs of enchantix, Believix, etc. Cosmix could be altered and give each girls different wing designs.
*Unicorn of War* I've been watching some of your Winx videos becuase I kind of like listening to you I have to admit. BUT also becuase back when it aired here on Nic is guess(?) between 8 to 10-ish yrs ago.(?) I watched it with my Granddaughters, and I really got into it with them... *(-:* *ps:* I do recall it was in the older art style you spoke of...
Season 8 is a 7 out of 10 for me. Here is a better concept: In order to earn Cosmix, the winx must face their biggest fears and gain prime stars tob be placed in the box. In order to heal Saphire, the Winx could use Enchantix and FAIRY DUST.
I think season 2 handled Trix the best. A lot of the time I was actually rooting for them. When they controlled Cloud Tower... they really worked as a team.
"Lit" got me, lol. Too many good points were made in this video, and I'm glad it wasn't all negative, because the negativity that spreads around the community really sucks. It's totally understandable but it's so demotivating to hear such sad things about something we're gonna watch anyway, and it just ends up downgrading the experience (which there arguably isn't much of but oh well, everyone has their own thoughts XD)
First off, I only consider the first 3 seasons canon because in my opinion season 4 is when it all went downhill with taking the focus off of bloom. The dark stuff bloom had to constantly deal with about her missing family and these villains shes linked to really are what kept me interested. Sometimes you just really have to know who THE main character or if its two Main Main Characters (alot of shows have this, inuyasha and kagome, natsu and lucy, Adora and catra, ect.) Usually the main face of the show gives it some direction but bloom lost almost all importance after season 3 and it really killed it for me. Like i was looking forward to her bonding with roxy about growing up on earth and finding out about your powers and finding yourself and for her to really be a mentor to roxy but they didn't do that. Anyways, yes valtor was the best villain for every reason you listed, but Darkar was still intimidating considering he had someone on the inside and was easily able first off kidnap bloom no problem and then was able to turn bloom dark, twice. I am one of the fans who really wanted more backlash from the dark bloom stuff. I was shocked her parents briefly mentioned it in season 3. But they made valtor too smart and had to make him make stupid mistakes in the end or else he would have really won lol. They did this to Tarakudo in the 4th season of Jackie chan adventures which made me sad because he is my favorite villain. And yes a steven universe reference!!!! And ben 10 and sailor moon! You hit alot of good shows! Even lollirock was a great reference! Have you watched the new She-ra reboot? Season 4 was mind blowing, but honestly every season they put out just keeps getting better and better. Also did you accidentally say Flora at 22???? I kept re-listening and can swear you are saying flora when i think you ment Musa. Enchantix was always my favorite transformation too. Also Bloom was never able to shrink with enchantix because hers was never fully stable. And I feel like the fairy dust was the best part and most useful part of enchantix. Also they only breifly touched on the fact that Lord Darhar sent the ancestiral witches (who had made Valtor) to domino to capture bloom....So her entire story kinda comes together with little to no real significance in the show since valtor was banished after that and Lord Darkar was defeated already. Do I remember that right or was that just an inconsitency in the different dubs? And finally! Great conclusion and an enjoyable video! Thanks for making it!
@Eternal Snow removing Tecna/Flora, no transformations, the plot will sounds like another generic Riverdale teen esque trash and don't even get me started how they whitewashed Musa. They can keep it.
I could have gone with life without this Personally I think season 1-7 were pretty good the only thing was their voices kept on changing but that was fine season 8 ruined the franchise it looks like there baby’s and it basically erased my favorite season season 4 Like if u agree
I do agree. They also keep overusing the Trix and retconned Valtor's death. Bloom straight up killed him (extinguished his life force/dragon fire) at the end of season 3.
Am I the only one that wants this whole thing to literally go on forever as long as it actually has good villains, good voice actors and especially WAYYYY better graphic designers.
Wow I have just today been thinking about season 8 and how it may be doing as I hadn't watched it. I just remembered Winx and knew that a new (controversial) season was coming out and I was just randomely thinking about it. Boom! A few hours later you upload this! This is so great, haha! I love coincidences like this.
That is actually what I was thinking, wanna kidnap bloom now? Oh go ahead, it's happened like 6 times! Also this is really old news but am the only one who wanted Sky to care more when she got kidnapped by Darkar?
I AM MADDDDD!!!! First they took away Bratz, then Justice Leauge, then Ben Ten, then Young Justice, NOW WINX!!! THEY NEED TO STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD!!!!

@Will N it feels like they wanted to include Roxy for the nostalgia, but didn’t want to make her an official member/didn’t want to acknowledge season 4 cuz it was too dark for the season 7 kid/toddler tone they were going for.

She could appear from pools and water and give Bloom a shoulder to lean on
Totally agree except for the Trix. I really liked the redemption arc they gave them
WILFORD 10's comment is weird due to season eight being a "soft reboot" already.
WILFORD 10 I need my fav Winx Stella and Brandon to get married for crying out loud also. /:
How i imagine them
Bloom: become mature, become Queen of eraklyon, help her mother, healing people
Stella:marry and become a designer
Flora: marry, love&pet with roxy, having kids with helia, living on earth
Roxy:discover herself, love&pet with flora, living on earth, earn enchantix
Layla: trying to revive nabu searching for a new power ALONE
Tecna: inventing things with Timmy, living in zenith together, marry
Musa: music career, end with Riven, being an independent woman
Trix
Icy- trying to save her sister, become a powerful witch, hn..
Darcy- idk
Stormy- idk
Other characters
Diaspro: Become mature, a model because she is beautiful. She uses stella's creations
Crystal: become queen of linphea

what bothered me the most about the new art style is how much lighter aisha and flora’s skin tones are. ik ppl are saying its because of the color palette but still, you can change a color palette without whitewashing characters (especially flora, who looks straight up white)
Esto es inaceptable
Jeremy Jones there’s a thing called diversity. Not every Latina has black hair and dark eyes. My friend’s Latina and she has brown hair and with brown eyes.
@Jeremy Jones flora was based off of latino pop stars and models take your crackhead takes somewhere else
My boys look like knock-off power rangers. I mean they always kinda were, but they didn't look stupid.

Also, Stella used to be the tannest white girl Flora has Stellas old skin color and Aisha has floras old skin color yikes
I thought the same thing and tbh they made flora and Aisha look mixed and it is low-key pissing me off. I don't understand why they did a complete make over over the entire cast

Honestly though. *Everyday we stray further from the original designs*
well these are some things I would love if rainbow to change
1. bring back the old art style like the art style from season 2-3 is actually really good
2. ignored season 5-8 story plot and continue the plot from season 4 onwards
3. have a more dark & mature theme would be nice
4. make Roxy a official 7th winx club member (she had so much potential to become a winx and is obvious that the Writers initially want her to be part of winx before the nick collaboration)
It's not gonna happen now though. Too bad.
THEY NEED TO MATURE THE WINX CLUB.
Yes, yes, yes! Idk about Roxy though
Remember that Roxy never wanted to be a fairy and she initially didn't want to be a winx. I would've liked to see the fairies get some more transformations....the school is stuck in season 1 and Roxy is stuck in season 4.
I like to just assume that season 8 is an alternate universe. Same with 7.
At this point, it seems like Winx Club has little more solid canon than Yume Nikki.

The thing that annoys me about Winx is that no other characters get new transformations apart from the Winx. How realistic is it that six fairies out of 100s have like 8 transformations? Also I swear it said in season 3 or that seasons movie that to graduate Alfea you had to get your enchantix form?
So true. I also don't like that they are the ONLY fairies shown to GRADUATE from Alfea. It's just ridiculous having to realize that.

@@hamham4904 Roxy should be a senior at Alfea as of Season 8. It is really annoying that no other Fairy gets a new transformation. Now Daphne might not be able to get another one because she's the Nymph of Sirenix and she probably can't go past Sirenix.

I don’t know.
35:11 "At least Winx Club now has an idea of what it wants to be."
I think the problem is that most fans of the show are still the old fans and they don't want the same.
I feel like the live action series is an attempt at this, albeit ham fisted.
Ppgz treatment. Hell yes. Maybe toei could take the responsibility.
They could rewrite season 1-3 possibly 4...
Maybe not rewrite but animate it better

@Will N Explain Digit and Tecna.
Will N oh now i get it... i always thought that amore suited more with flora, and chatta with stella etc.
@@tsuyuasui7297 No...
It doesn't make sense. Chatta has a similar personality to Stella and same happens with Amore and Flora. Just boring and empty.
I think icy’s problem will probably be far greater than stormy and Darcy simply because they didn’t have big reactions to icy’s problem like something similar happened to them
Also Iginio Straffi said he knew the story’s till winx club season 10 even if it wasn’t renewed yet the story’s there
It took 3 seasons to save domino at the beginning of Winx club
It might take 3 seasons to free diamond
Well as far I figure they gave us hints for the trix backstory in the last 3 episodes
24 icy meets her sister
25 when the shaman witch appears there’s constantly lightning in the back ground hinting that they are from the same place also she seemed to be in a hurry to leave diamond
26 Darcy mentions the world of illusion hinting that she prefers illusions of reality

Tell me why season 7-8 DON'T EVEN CORRELATE WITH EACH OTHER.
@@Margolias okay I understand that but I mean, if the writing not going to hold the old fans whats the point of apealing to them?

If they wanted to reboot or retool the show so badly...Why not just let us have the kids of the mains? The girls have graduated by now, so let us see that! Let's see Tecna's Daughter have to deal with emotionally distant parents, Musa trying to be a mother to her daughter but messing up. Stella having a son that wants to badly to be like his mom and less like his dad but can't. Bloom's Daughter having to deal with the fact that her mom has the power of life itself. Something!
And if you have to give me Valtor again, let him be Valtor!

So why do the Trix have their old outfits again? If it'd to pander on nostalgia, why not have the Winx Club themselves wear their old outfits, too?
The Midriff Ban. No navels are allowed to be seen. You can see the shift from season 4 to season 5 with Sirenix.
@@kimberly_5682 I mean... It looks a little fucked if you do a redesign to make everyone look younger to then stick them in the og outfits. Not saying the old outfits are bad just sayin' it's a bad look.
They got nerfed
Winx is officially ruind and hot garbage
And everyone likes her overused story lmao
Why do they always need to retcon ?? im so done with rainbow and this show
@@3rebella And like, the main problem isn't that people LIKE it, there are those who ACTUALLY believe that this shit was planned from the start... even though literally everything in the show says otherwise, including Icy trying to murder Bloom as early as episode 3, and the creator originally intended for the show to end after the third season.
@@Masquette100 Exactly.
@@shivachandar8473 Yeah, I mean I will keep watching regular Winx Club even if the animation and voice actors are as bad. It's a part of my childhood that I would literally cry about if I ever left it. XD yes I'm emotional.

We can’t have nice things.
For me the redesign is just a big no no
Because my godness gracious they look awful or at least in my opinion
Huge heads, big eyes, constantly red cheeks
Like c'mon if you already wanted them to look and be younger then why do they need to have a 24/7 makeup that doesn't even look good
Not even starting with the Specialists cuz they are just 12 years old kids that found real weapons in their dads lockers and decided it will be fun to kill some people
The only character apart from Winx I remember liking was the elf teacher but he was rarely appearing and I still have no idea what the hell happened with his design after first season altho I'm not complaining
From Winx themself definitely Musa cuz I always loved her short hair and how she didn't give a damn about being all girly and pinky
Also the only girl that had real heavy issues (asshole boyfriend that she still couldn't help but fall for, dead mother, a father that didn't really support her music at first and so one)
I really liked how she was ready to end her relationship, still be friends with Riven and move on
But no, because now everyone needs to be painfully happy and if someone even slighty want something then you can be sure they will get it because magic!
I do not like the redesign at all, but I will honestly always continue to watch Winx, its a part of my childhood that I could never throw away. And not even kidding you, when I saw all this fighting between Sky and Bloom I was about to run to Rainbow and write a complaint. XD I know, I care that much about their relationship.
Musa lost her Asian features and they lightened Aisha & Flora's skin!
So basically, whitewashing. Aisha doesn't even have full lips like the previous seasons. Some black people (like myself) have full lips.
Now this is what I call being honest. Not straight up hating an entire thing. For specialist they kinda looks like teenage anime boys
Probably even worse from that

The main rage against Icy's backstory was that if it is meant to make her sympathetic, it failed utterly with all she had done in the past 7 seasons and the movies. Secondly, the Trix were supposed to be blood triplets according to the early storyboards to parallel their ancestors, something that Icy's backstory contradicts by adding a 4th sister while not mentioning Stormy and Darcy.
I wish they stopped after season 3, that was honestly the best season of Winx in my option. Also had the best villain (with that sexy, sexy voice),
Who actually had interesting motives and an actual coherent plan.
it was supposed to end after season 3, they decided to continue it. my fav season was 4, then 3! i feel like after season 4 it fell off.. i rlly love the winx show but like i think the other companies messed up my beautiful show )’:
No I love season 4 and 5
What motives? He just wanted to gather power...like almost every other villain in this show
... This whole time I thought the Trix were sisters? I could've sworn they said that in the first season.
My thoughts, too. I thought they were triplets... but I think that was some "I know we said that but we have a better idea now!" thing. That can go both ways.
I can literally recall them calling each other sisters
Same
S8 icy has a backstory
S3 the trix fall into that river that reverses time (the episode where flora got her enchantix) and they look like younger versions of themselves. But icy didn’t look like that in the backstory i- what?
New Art Style, or realistically... Reconning. 🥲🥲🥲
Even though you have made good points in your video, I'm still upset about three things of this whole season:
*First:* They made villians, such as the trix, look like the team rocket, and they are impossible to be taken serious, since they are always beaten humoristically.
@Queen Of Hidden Snow I think that is why he loses a lot of his character and imposing presence.

Would it kill them to make a new show? I would be perfectly fine if they made a spinoff with completely new characters.
I'd love a Season 1-style spinoff based on the students of Cloud Tower
I wouldn’t mind if they went the next generation route and some of the characters have boys so we can switch perspectives
@@kristinahuchison2511 I'm so glad I only watched the first movie of all the franchises you mentioned, when I saw an ad for the Spirit show it made me so upset.

Roxy gets Enchantix (pls)
Diaspro moves on finally (like, gurl)
Bloom and sky's wedding (like, they had like 2 proposal's)
Aisha and Stella get crowned queen (cause I'm pretty sure there both an only child)
I really wanna see the icy backstory come into effect, maybe after remembering why she went dark to begin with she starts to regret her actions and if can be done well, a redemption arc
I also want like all the villians that can come back, come back at the end, like let's say for example season 10 is the last season, season 9 they defeated a new villian, let's say the wind stayed at alfea to learn all they could about magic to help the magic dimension, but they learned all they know, or atleast can teach the winx, and sky does propose to bloom at the end of season 9 (for like the 3rd time but, eh)
Season 10 starts off with stella helping bloom with her wedding dress, the wedding is a few months away,
What if all the villains that can come back, come back,
Like the new villain of season 9 if there is one
The Trix's obviously
I also wanna see kalshara (however you spell it) back, I also wanna see her brother back, but her brother is on the good side which can be a cool dynamic
The wizards of the black circle can still come back as well,
Tritanios (idk how to spell there names), can also come back, there was also asheron, (I can't spell ;/) sure he's is trapp in the legenderium book, but so we're the Trix's,
So what it they all came back, they decided to try to take down the winx together, and anyone else that can get in there way (ie: the specialists, Roxy, Daphne, etc)
Them decide to take over there own kingdoms separately and-
I gotta write my own season 9 and 10

Fair idea, but this is a lot to work with, just to make sure all the villains are properly threatening for an equal amount of time, and all the reasons why they come back from whatever ‘eternal prison’ they may have been sent to make sense. It’s a lot to write and keep coherent. I do agree that some continuity between seasons would be wonderful to have again.

Ok you're doing a Lolirock review now. Its official.
The plot was actually better than last seasons
Honestly, the art style would be good in a new series like showing their previous life before season1 happened. Like Bloom being normal, Stella facing her family problems, Aisha being to pressured in being a princess, Musa and her mom and the whole reason why she died and flora and miele growing up together.
Then in season 1 is when they all meet!
It’s a shame they pushed Roxy out, she was such a good character she had so much potential if they had taken the time with her
In my opinion, Crystal Sirenix is pathetic, honestly.
True it's irational.

-Wizard of the black circle without duman return
-make people believing magic again
-gain believix and bloomix power again
-new powerful fairy form
-new fairy appear
-roxy use white circle power again
I love that idea
AND GET THE SEASON 3 ANIMATION BACK

Flora: That dog!
It was almost were that Flora was gonna call Riven a bitch.
Darkar was the scariest villain the Winx had imo. but yeah up til season 3 the series were great. I couldn't stand the way things went afterwards :'(
The confusing thing for me is that stars are portrayed as small planets rather than, you know, actual fucking stars!
The new Specialists look like bootleg gender bent Totally Spies
I nearly choked on my lollipop reading this.
Crystal sirenix exists for merchandise
Mhm i bet the producers dont even care about this franchise anymore. They just want mulla
@@3rebella yup I agree
I mean, when they used Enchantix for miniaturization, technically Believix can do that too, which is ever so stupidly revered as more powerful than Enchantix (not just on Earth) I think the unspoken rule is each new form is more powerful than the previous, so logically Cosmix is their most powerful form yet. I don’t agree one bit considering how ugly some of the forms are in comparison to Enchantix and Winx
Musa and Riven being back together seems to be the only thing I'm happy about this season
mine too :>
霜降りQuon lol same. Even tho he looks five
I hate that ship
Yeah, when I saw the Sky and Bloom relationship problems I'm not even joking I was about to write a complaint to Rainbow. They also need to get married.
Um no the relationship is too damn toxic
I cackled when you added Flora's "That Dog!!!" line at 24:03...You are right..Flora will end you if you mess with her friends and family lol
In every episode I was waiting for Roxy to show up even in the background but sadly she never did 😔
It never was the same after season 4
17:16 Wow, Bayonetta 3 took a weird turn.
Here's what Rainbow needs to do if they want to make Winx Club great again.
1) revert back to the old art style ( if it ain't broke, don't fix it)
2) re-animate the first 4 seasons to improve graphics and other things
3) for season 4 it needs a bit more tweaking. Episodes should be longer. Roxy's character needs more fleshing out and showing her actually bonding with each of the Winx to prepare her as the 7th member
4) Roxy's importance needs to upgrade in S4 to save the terrestrial fairies. She should go through the basic winx and enchantix in fast, but steady pace before earning Believix but still inexperienced with magic to give her a reason to attend Alfea
5) retcon seasons 5-8 to make it more darker and intense with Roxy involved
6) for WOW it should be added in the main series in later seasons
7) make the fairy forms unique and fashionable again and yes revert to the old designs of enchantix, Believix, etc. Cosmix could be altered and give each girls different wing designs.
Bring back nabu or just make layla be with Roy and not the jerk called Nex
@@3rebella nah screw Roy. But yes bring back Nabu
Seeing winx club like this makes me upset.
It was my favourite show as a kid and seeing it massacred like this makes my heart hurt.
It is ok I like ICY but her backstory I was like crying i don't know if I like it or hate it
I hate it cause it likely isn't getting resolved as far as we know.
They focused way too much on Sirenix that I forgot Cosmix even existed
13:18 Toxic relationship. Love the pun. 😍
@Will N LOL.😂
*Unicorn of War*
I've been watching some of your Winx videos becuase I kind of like listening to you I have to admit.
BUT also becuase back when it aired here on Nic is guess(?) between 8 to 10-ish yrs ago.(?)
I watched it with my Granddaughters, and I really got into it with them...
*(-:*
*ps:* I do recall it was in the older art style you spoke of...
Season 8 is a 7 out of 10 for me.
Here is a better concept:
In order to earn Cosmix, the winx must face their biggest fears and gain prime stars tob be placed in the box.
In order to heal Saphire, the Winx could use Enchantix and FAIRY DUST.
Your cosmix concept is basically sirenix
@@savvasf7136 😂😂
Cosmix is sirenix really. Also why did they remove fairy dust exactly. was it INNOPROPIATE rainbow?
"The Ant Style"
Only one who read it like that?
All the lowercase R’s look like that
Valton
The Tnix
Tnansfonmations
The Specialists are ant-sized now, so I'll take it.
I thought it said that too. Lol
Remember when the trix fused ..good times
I remember, I watch the older seasons because I love them so much more.
I think season 2 handled Trix the best. A lot of the time I was actually rooting for them. When they controlled Cloud Tower... they really worked as a team.
When they fused that was so Nostoligic and beautiful. Reminds me of the Good ol' days. Kinda like Steven Universe.
Title: Says its Alright.
Video: Spends 36 minutes trashing on it.
Me: Very entertained.
Wasn't world of winx just cancelled? So how they gonna target older fans and auidences?
@Queen Of Hidden Snow when's that coming out
@Eternal Snow removing Tecna/Flora, no transformations, the plot will sounds like another generic Riverdale teen esque trash and don't even get me started how they whitewashed Musa. They can keep it.
Tge live action is basically advatars live action but winx :/
I could have gone with life without this
Personally I think season 1-7 were pretty good the only thing was their voices kept on changing but that was fine season 8 ruined the franchise it looks like there baby’s and it basically erased my favorite season season 4
Like if u agree
@@omqchoco6173 it’s becoming way way worse, which is why nobody wants the series to continue
WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO TO MY GIRL TECNA :A:
Wow I have just today been thinking about season 8 and how it may be doing as I hadn't watched it. I just remembered Winx and knew that a new (controversial) season was coming out and I was just randomely thinking about it.
Boom! A few hours later you upload this! This is so great, haha! I love coincidences like this.
The prime stars are literally the codex....
Or the chaos emeralds.
I mean, there are seven of them...
Hey, Icy even has the same voice as Blaze the Cat, so there’s that.
Or the Dragon balls
Or, think about it, the infinity stones (adding one extra, but still).
Yeah, and the stars quests remebered a lot of the Sirenix quests.
That is actually what I was thinking, wanna kidnap bloom now? Oh go ahead, it's happened like 6 times! Also this is really old news but am the only one who wanted Sky to care more when she got kidnapped by Darkar?
the trix is the team rocket of winx club.
Omg, true.
Team Rocket is still worse though.
Me: Hey mom can we get Winx Club?
My Mom: We have Winx Club at home
Winx Club at home:
I AM MADDDDD!!!! First they took away Bratz, then Justice Leauge, then Ben Ten, then Young Justice, NOW WINX!!! THEY NEED TO STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD!!!!
