  • It's here! Took longer than I thought it would to edit this one. I have mixed thoughts on season 8, especially after realizing why Rainbow decided to change target audiences. Here's to hoping the next season is halfway decent!

What did you think about season 8? Are you excited for the next season? And do you think Rainbow was justified in changing their target audience to keep up with the market? 🤔I'm curious what your thoughts are.

I honestly think that Winx Club has overstayed its welcome. It’s revival lasted much longer than the original series. Making a live-action adaptation for adults was just an insult to the now grown up fans of Winx Club, assuming that just because they are adult, they’re too old for cartoons. I think the Winx Club revival was one of the worst cartoon revivals of all time.

    • @robinsordahl8947
      @robinsordahl8947 2 года назад +12

This might seem like a mediocre reboot that serves to cash in on nostalgia, destroying the reputation of the original creator’s work, but the unique problem for this revival is that it even fails at being that. Calling this just a cash grab to capitalize on nostalgia or a disgrace to the original creator would give this revival too much credit. In fact, this revival was planned by the creator himself, Iginio Straffi, and he was actually happy with the result. He enjoyed working with Nickelodeon, who was accused of making the storyline childish, while in fact, Straffi changed the target age demographic because of the decrease in older viewers and increase in younger viewers of animation. He even thought it was a good idea to have Brian Young destroy the diversity of the characters, make Alfea into a dark generic castle, turn the characters into complete jerks to each other, and include the typical clichés of a live-action adaptation for young adults. I’ve never seen a serialized cartoon whose storyline became this convoluted, I’ve never seen an animated cartoon whose target age demographic has been lowered that made the revival this terrible, I’ve never even seen a magical girl series that tried to lower the age demographic just to stay successful and keep the company from going bankrupt, I’ve never even expected this to be such an insult to the preschool audience or even be something that the original creator approves, I’ve never seen a cartoon revival that did so much irreversible damage to the IP’s reputation in this way before, I’ve never even seen an animated series whose creator was so ignorant of the fan base who criticized the revival, that they had the audacity to make a live action excuse for an adaptation that even the older fans of the cartoon never asked for that felt like an insult to them, and I have never even seen a cartoon revival that is all of these abysmal qualities combined! I would rather watch Teen Titans Go!, the PowerPuff Girls 2016 Reboot, Sailor Moon Crystal, the seasons as of 2010 of Spongebob and Pokémon, Jellystone!, VeggieTales in the House, I would even rather watch Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon than this abysmal excuse for a soft reboot!

What if people just stopped watching those most viewed videos that you’ve listed, so they can enjoy the videos with less views. Just because the views make the money, doesn’t mean that the videos themselves have content that is even worth that obscene amount of views. Popularity=/= quality. It would be better off if the companies just declared bankruptcy than to keep making more awful seasons of a serialized program that should’ve had a good conclusion just to get more views and money. An end to terror is preferable to a terror with no end. Maybe people viewing these new Winx Club episodes should check out Huntik:Secrets and Seekers or 44 Cats. There are cartoons from Rainbow that are overlooked and don’t get as much appreciation as they should, and they have such good quality that fans should check out. If the views and ratings mattered in the animation industry, so should the quality of the content. There are box office bombs that are actually masterpieces that should’ve had more money and deserved to be watched. Using the under 7 demographic as the primary demographic of animation would be a disgrace to the animation industry. have you seen the latest Oscar’s? They think that animation is a kid’s genre, rather than a medium that can be aimed at any age. Even some adults would find animation much more appealing to them than live-action. We’ve got Family Guy, Terkel in Trouble, Robot Chicken, South Park, Sausage Party, and Drawn Together. All of those are notable examples of cartoons that are almost exclusively to adults.

Same! NGL I actually hated it at first considering Icy is probably the most iconic villain aside Baltor, considering she was literally made to be the most powerful witch in Winx Club. And I just hated how it seemed they were trying to “victimize” her by creating this new backstory clearly divorced from the Trix’s original backstory as the descendants of the Ancestresses, the witches that destroyed Sparx/Domino.
But ignoring their canon story, Icy actually used to be one of my favorite characters when I was younger, so I was actually kinda intrigued that she was a princess (maybe even a fairy) who lost her realm to a shaman witch. And Sapphire is so adorable as a little arctic fox, my only complaint is why did Icy abandon her on Diamond instead of taking her with her to Cloud Tower or somewhere close so she didn’t starve to death? And no “magic sustaining her” doesn’t count, considering at least when Sparx died, its citizens were turned to stone (despite it never says how the entirety of Sparx got sucked into Obsidian when I thought it was only Oritel and Miriam?? And even Faragonda says “Anyone who enters Obsidian is lost forever” I get how powerful and willed her parents were considering they wielded the Dragon Flame too, but how did their subjects resist being lost in Obsidian?

And if you want to humanize Icy,a better way would've been to actually show how she and the other Trix meet and formed a friendship.

While I can understand why they did it,I feel like they did it in the wrong way. The soft reboot option is half-assed and only makes it harder to differentiate between S1-4 and S5 onwards. The best way they could've made this shift is if they had ended the show at S4 and SotLK,since the latter was the original intended end of the WC's stories and Bloom's Myth Arc and the former makes a good epilogue. Then, after that hard reboot the series and make it clear this series is for a younger crowd. That way, older fans don't have see their favorite characters suddenly regress randomly or the lore being broken/ignored and Rainbow can have their younger demo show. A win win.

I also like the WC Next Gen idea and considering they're going for a younger crowd that wouldn't have gotten attached to the characters,it could've worked. With a new cast, you wouldn't have to reference things and you get the younger kids attached to this new set of characters, given it's done right. Just have the new cast be at Alfea and there you go. I would rather not have any of the new cast be related to the OG cast. Maybe one of them could be,but I would much rather have the new characters be good on their own, than just banking on them being related. And Roxy's character could've easily had a role by having her be in the same year or an upperclassman to the new cast. The problem is that that I think Rainbow thought it was too risky to do and didn't want to let go of milking the WC cast. Why bank on something new, when you could just milk what's already proven?

I really love S5 when he wrote that song, but the cheating with another music fairy plot was dumb, considering Musa doesn’t actually confront him about it. After the nightmare of S6, I really wish they sat down and talked about their feelings, but in the end ultimately agree to just be friends and stop trying to force a problematic relationship to work. I don’t get why Musa can’t just be single or just be friends and understanding Riven still deeply cares about her, but isn’t the one meant for her

I think you are one of the few people who analyze a bit of Musa's story, and in my opinion I think it is much more interesting than Bloom or Aisha's story.
Most girls have a problem that they have to solve and they solve it by having a happy ending. Bloom manages to find her sister and find out where she comes from, Aisha solves the problem with her kingdom and more, but Musa is never happy since she cannot overcome the loss of her mother and the damage her toxic relationship with Riven did to her.
While the girls are happy, Musa is always sad. I think that if this series were a series for adults, Musa would have depression because that is really what she represents and I really like that idea because she is very different from her friends and from what the series shows its viewers, but of course, being a children's series, they have to hide Musa's story a lot because it is somewhat complex to understand

2 things that make me unable to give season 8 a chance, the way they handled Valtor and Enchantix. From an actual threat to a boring cliche threat with the downgrade version of a legendary iconic transformation into a colour's mix mess with extra layer for the clothing oh and pink is a must now. (It's a shame that they can't used the original Enchantix song because of copyright and had to go with the movie version instead)
Even so, I still have hope for season 9 (or should we called it a reboot?), I hope they'll finally be able to redeem themselves into making Winx great again, that little last glimpse of hope...

Uh no. I respect your opinion but I personally was never a fan of Musa and Riven. Riven was always my least favorite guy/character in the show as a kid, but watching it as an adult and the other seasons (specifically 4 and 5, I grew up on 4Kids) I personally wished they broke up in S4. I completely understand why he got nervous about Musa pursuing a career that might limit their time together and she’s been unintentionally ignoring him with all of her duties to the mission and stuff. But it literally takes them forever to FINALLY sort through everything. And in S6, I seriously don’t understand why Riven’s character development was shattered and he basically acted like he was in S1, a judgmental prick who’s constantly ignoring Musa for no reason and is obsessed with training and being a better fighter. It NEVER explains why he got so insecure all of a sudden or why he even forced Sky into a duel for the position of leader of the specialists. Yes its very nice to see him feel awful for how ignorant he was towards Musa and admitting he needs a break from their relationship because he has personal issues he needs some time alone to deal with. When Musa said “And it’s clear now that we’re not meant to be together” it always gave me the impression she meant “I’ve given up on the idea of marriage or a more serious relationship, we’re ending things for good this time. No more trying to force a toxic relationship to work.” And while its cool to see Riven has truly improved and stuff, I think they should’ve stayed separated and simply agreed to be just friends and find other people better suited for them. I don’t understand why we can’t have a couple where they break up and manage to stay good friends while falling in love with another person

Who killed the Winx Club revival
    Suspects:
    - Iginio Straffi
    - Viacom(Paramount Global)
    - Nickelodeon Executives
    - [ ]
    - Rainbow S.p.A
    - American Writers
    - [ ] Janice Burgess
    - [ ] Sascha Paladino
    - [ ] Adam Peltzman
    - [ ] Carin Greenburg
    - Fans of the show
    - Streaming Cartoons for ages 6 and under
    - [ ] Cocomelon
    Clues
    - Straffi requested minor changes to the script to make the dialogue more suitable for younger audiences.
    - Nickelodeon moves some cartoons to NickToons, which requires extra payment for some cable providers, Dish Network requiring the highest priced package, affecting the shows ratings. Ex: Harvey Beaks, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Welcome to the Wayne
    - Straffi set the age demographic to ages 4-8 because “the animation audience has skewed younger”
    - Straffi can’t monitor Nickelodeon 24/7, and Nickelodeon used the soft reboot for lazy plot development, profit from a successful franchise, and demoted Stella into nothing but a fashion freak.
    - Some shows aiming at the under 7 age demographic on streaming services get more views and make more money than those of teens or adults.

Giving Icy backstory and Valtor returning back are retcons and don’t make sense- Bloom killed Valtor with her fairy dust- and season 8 retcons it with excuse- “ooh Valtors essence was still present” - when you know fairy dust is supposed to be powerful with Enchantix- and Icy backstory ruins her character and retcons her being descendant of ancient witches and makes her hypocrite since she went after the Bloom who has lost her kingdom- also new childish artstyle and whitewashing in season 8 - that makes season 8 the worst.
I hope season 9 fixes everything, but thats only my hope and its close to zilch/zero/nothing.
Seasons 5-8 are not mature they are childish and kiddified and I hate nickelodeon for that- nickelodeon completely stripped away mature themes.

    • @meduzsazsa8490
      @meduzsazsa8490 2 года назад +5

Season 9 doesn't need to fix anything, because Season 8 already did! There wasn't a season like this for a long time! Season where fairies are no longer childish and where plot is mature and where transformation sequences are not lazy and horrible!
About Valtor, it totally makes sense, Valtor was never killed, Bloom just shut down his dragon flame, but if you remember the story from Season 3, Valtor was not just made of dragon flame, but also was made of darkness, so he lost his dragon flame, but not his darkness, which means his essence is still here and then Obscurum fullfiled ex-flame's part of his essence with cosmic power!
And Icy's backstory didn't destroy the fact that she is descendant of ancient witches because she could have still been a great great great great... daughter of ancient witch!
And also Trix were never meant to be sisters so S8 didn't destroy that either
So in conclusion, S8 can't be the worst, because just look at that Nickelodeon disaster! Nickelodeon destroyed Winx Club and everything we loved! And Rai tried to do everything they can to bring it back to old feel and you can totally feel the old Winx - there wasn't : Magic Winx Cosmix or Bloom, Fairy of the dragon flame and Winx again had their own style of clothes, each fairy had different clothes depending on her own style and personality, clothes were not just the same with different colors like in seasons 5-7
So S8 is plotwise, transformationwise, qualitywise better than Nickelodeon seasons

    • @Sungod77777
      @Sungod77777 2 года назад +6

@MeduZsa Zsa Um😐 season 8 whitewashed Aisha, Flora, Musa and Stella and uses new ugly artstyle. Cosmix is bit boring transformation because they censor legs. Season 8 is the worst, also I cannot feel anything for Icy because now in season 8 she is made hypocrite because she attacked Bloom also the girl who lost her kingdom- I don’ t feel anything for Icy. If there was atleast small hint of Icy backstory in original seasons 1-3 it would be good but not still not that great- as I like Icy as a villain.
Also yall need to acknowledge that season 8 WHITEWASHED Aisha, Flora, Musa and Stella- thats main reason it sucks- there is less diversity in season 8 because whitewashing- now almost all of the Winx are white in season 8.
I will never stan season 8, even season 7 that is not something great didn’t whitewashed and didn’t used ugly new artstyle, that why season 8 is worser than 7 in that aspect.
      Season 8 also massacred Enchantix.

Original Winx Club was also about diversity- Aisha is black, Flora is brown hispanic, Musa is asian and Stella could be white passing POC with slight tan.
And for season 8 to remove all that beautiful skintone diversity is just ew. In season 8 they made Aisha lightskin, Flora a white girl, Musa a white girl and they removed Stella’s slight tan- now almost all of Winx are white in season 8 which is disgusting- rainbow should apologize for this and stop whitewashing POC characters.
Just imagine how darkskin girls growing up with Winx Club will feel when they found out they whitewashed/lightened Aisha skin in season 8. I don’t care about “its palette, lighting” excuse because that excuse doesn’t work- season 8 is blatant whitewashing.

It is perspective, my love. If they changed their perspective and produced a way more mature version of this show, targeting young adults and adults, like Castlevania or Invincible or Vox Machina, trust me, they would kill it on ANY platforms. Because their target audience would be the same people who watched the Winx Club when they were younger, nostalgia would bring people back, and this drastic change of tone would also keep them engaged. Because we are not kids anymore, we can handle seeing blood, death, dark magic and such... I wouldn't mind if one or two people of the main cast died for example, I wouldn't mind if they touched on sensitive topics like politics, sex, gender, war, violence, abuse... Eg. Trix's back story could alternatively be explained with abusive parents, even worse grandparents, messed up lineage, etc... They could finally say that Riven suffers from Bipolar personality disorder or something that fits him better (I'm not a psychologist, I just remember his mood swings and unbalanced behavior which seem kinda fitting? i mean no offense to anyone with my ignorance) and they could rebound with Musa after she learns about his issues and maybe decides to be more tolerant towards him.... You see, the sky is the limit if they changed their perspective. If they did this, we wouldn't have to endure the bane called Winx Saga, it would be totally unnecessary.

Iginio Straffi: This as gone far enough!
Fans of Winx Club: You already rebooted the show to younger audiences and they’ve already done their adventures, just leave them alone and go do your other projects.
Iginio Straffi: I can’t do that! I have ideas to make Season 9. The show is my ticket to success.
Fans of Winx Club: But the writing, character depth, and plots don’t make sense, besides being childish. I’ve heard that the plot elements about your show were generic and far from creative, they don’t even respect the original series, which actually had original characters and reasons for them to exist.
Iginio Straffi: Too bad, this is my show, my rules. I wanted this show to be a success, so I had to come up with something to commemorate the 10th and 15th anniversaries. Plus, it’s for the children that I had to do this.
Fans of Winx Club: It doesn’t have to be this way. You don’t have to force the writers to rush on writing each episode of your show, and try to pander to young audiences with such childishness, it’ll even make less sense for the show.
Iginio Straffi: I had no choice, we still needed more money and more viewers. Having a good story and serious characters aren’t even enough anymore. The cartoon audience was skewing much younger, so we can’t even get enough viewers with the original demographic.
Winx Club Fans: Listen, We understand you needed a second chance for success in America and I know the animation audience might have gone younger, but overworking very busy writers of Nickelodeon to work on the revival, relying on Hollywood voice actors that put you in serious debt, having to become a major sellout to girls, and saturating the show with pure glamor and cuteness? This is just nonsense. You can’t keep doing his to your show.
Iginio Straffi: You don’t understand, the most viewed animated programs out there are for preschoolers and elementary school children, so they make the most money, This is my company, so I need to make sure it doesn’t go bankrupt or out of business, so I had to aim Winx Club at younger audiences! I can do whatever I want with my show, I created it, so don’t you dare tell me what to do! You know what, I actually want more and I will make more songs, more transformations, more episodes, sell more toys, and even earn more money. I will reboot the show a thousand times and will get more success and power and I will make my people work on the episodes all day long without rest and set a quick deadline if necessary before I let this entire franchise and company die, and I will silence anyone WHO GETS IN MY WAY!!!!!

After years of being a fan of winx club once I found out about season 8 I judged it. Today I watched some of the episodes and honestly I like it and maybe more then the old version. The art style is cute and I love the clothing. and I like that the specialist have jets now. HOWEVER, I don’t like how they changed the skin colors.

    • @I_always_have_been_Daniel49
      @I_always_have_been_Daniel49 Год назад +2

I liked season 8 too! The artstyle is absolutely terrible, the clothing is okay for the most part since the Winx always get new clothes for a new season. The changing skin color thing is distracting and bad. I just wish it was animated in the old artstyle since I saw some cosmix reanimations with the old artstyle and it looked way better. Plus, the moves in the transformation was not that good and the enchantix redesign is way too ugly, including sirenix, other people like the sirenix redesign but DEFINITELY NOT ME. The cosmix song is sooo fine. Crystal sirenix is pretty for some part. Especially in the old artstyle. Trix and Valtor, including the lumens or what they are look acceptable in the new artstyle. Thank god season 9 looks better, as of artstyle and character design. Too bad that season 9 is a total reboot I guess :(

I disagree with this idea that cartoons need to 'skew younger' to make money. If anything I feel like animated shows appeal to older audiences like never before. At any rate this was a strategy that failed for Rainbow. Season 8 did not attract audiences back to the brand like Rainbow hoped it would.

    • @kristinahuchison2511
      @kristinahuchison2511 3 месяца назад

No, but its a very negative misconception companies LOVE using “cartoons are for kids!” Despite the first cartoons ever made were actually made for adults, specifically men (there’s a reason why Betty Boop is designed the way she is)
Say with Disney’s newest movie Wish. It had a very different story in the original draft and truly felt like it could be the next Moana. Star himself was fully intended to be a shapeshifter and love interest for Asha, who was originally a princess in the story. But sadly, Star was changed to be a marketing ploy to sell toys, Disney straight up didn’t care about writing a good story. All they cared about was selling toys and making it appropriate for kids. Aside Encanto, I feel a lot of their more recent movies don’t go as dark as movies from say the Renaissance era or even post renaissance.

So my friends were huge winx fans when we were like 5-9 years old and I was never really interested in it, but actually my phase began last year when I was 12 and I am really disappointed to see s8 to be... Like this. But I guess it makes sense. I seem to be the only one in my age that openly likes winx and stuff like that. I guess it's uncool and preteens with a lack of self conciousness need to be cool, I guess. It's sad, both that the older kids don't want to watch it anymore, and that it's like this now. The girls are very cute but what the heck did they do to the boys I died when I saw them

My personal opinion… Insted of doing this „ season 8” Rainbow shuld just do re-make of the show.
Younger children would be pleased by look. New style wouldn’t be so shocking as well, becouse a lot of time passed since Winx Club first debut. Winx going back to school would be actualy resonable since season first started from Bloom just starting her magic education as she didn’t even know she was a fairy back then, so there would be a lot space to not only coppy old plot but also to improve story.
After soo many years of Winx Club there is for sure plenty things that were pointed out to late to include/fix them in show (Trix past for example was never touched ever before).
In my opinion it’s a missed oportunity. If Rainbow just changed style while doing a re-make most of the worst ‚mistakes’ that were pointed out wouldn’t be counted as one, becouse if they were to go back to the begining they could solve a lot of things in diferent way relatively easy and actualy have pretty good reason to do so…

Now I do like Icy back story but I don't think it works well on Icy specificaly. In the first 3 season the Trix are presented as evil for the sake of being evil, they know than what they are doing is wrong and they like it. Season 2 makes a point to show us how unredemable they are, and it makes sense for them since they are the ancenstral witches successors. If a villan has that kind of back stories they usualy need to show early signs of that otherwise it feels like a big retcon. I don't know if you have seen/red The Hunger Games and The ballade of Songbirds and Snakes but President Snow, the villan of the trilogy, depsait the fact than he is Katniass enemy he still respects her and even helps her when he is about to die. In the prequel we learn than this relationship is due to the fact than when he was young Snow mentored to victory and fell in love with the District 12 femele tribute named Lucy Grey Baird in the 10th Hunger Games, even if by the end of the book they tried to kill eachother Snow still repsected Lucy Grey untill the end, so much so than he strted to poison his political rivals inspired by Lucy Greay's use of poison both in and out of the Hunger Games arena. Icy should have showed at least a litte simphaty for Bloom' situation since the start for this backstory to make senese. I also didn't like the way they showed the Trix's relationship with eachother, it felt too mushy for them. In season 2 and 3 the Trix act like any siblings when they intrect with eachother, moking eachother and joking around in an evil yet warm way, they are quick to join forces against Drak Ray, and the fact than they resisted Valtor atempts to try to devide them showed us how close they where and how much they ment for eachother in a way than is fitting for a villan.
Overall Season 8 is not that bad it has some standout moments and I honestly woudn't mind a re-watch, unlike season 5-6-7 witch I'll gladly never watch agian.

Yeah Its like zoe’s backstories getting slapped on our faces with her “emotional past” unlike chloe. In miraculous ladybug, at least chloe’s backstory doesnt gets slapped right onto our face, they are telling it without telling it- the creator meant to make zoe a good character within her backstory. She needs time to get known.
Ok now my point is The problem with icy’s backstory is to make her be good. Because as you said, It was explained that ice and the other two were evil. Now they want to give icy and her friends some attention, miserably failing at it, because in the latest seasons, the trio have remained trash. To make a good character, they need a good reason to be good or evil, have favorites, dislikes and a interesting plot

I think what most fans want out of more adult (not that the original 4 WC seasons weren't that while still being for kids,) WC show is one where the tone and spirit of the original is still intact, but the darker subject matter, like genocide, divorce, politics, family death etc. is made more explicit and expanded on, than just leaving it as subtext. Add in some new plotlines that take the implications of the OG show and run with it(like PGSM to the SM anime/manga) and you got the perfect show made for older fans.
They're never going back to the all ages approach like in S1-4. Rainbow has made it clear that they want WC to be more childish now(even if it ruins what came before). And while the execution is bad,Fate shows that they still want to give something for older fans. So the best way is to let them know that Fate is NOT the right way to do it by not giving it any attention.

At least 4Kids I’d say was PG, considering it did have some adult jokes occasionally. While Nick just doesn’t have anything aside the time in S6 when Stella was putting on the groomsmen outfits on the specialists, she forgot pants and Sky very stupidly said “I think this look might be a little too tropical” when it was so obvious they were in boxers.

Actually I enjoyed season 8 as a whole. Yes, the infantilism and new art style are outrageous - especially the pedophilia with the specialists… But at least the series had a plot. Cosmix had a point of existing, the Winx weren’t a hive mind as other seasons, Knut and the Trix were back, the attacks were interesting and we got Enchantix and Sirenix back (although I hate their redesign). Crystal Sirenix was something and the Winx’ casual outfits were so iconic and way better than “school uniforms”. I liked that Valtor was back, even though as a weakling.
Actually I do agree that the Trix being back saved the season - I loved their OG personalities and how they deeply loved and cared for each other (I shed several tears, ok 😭😍).
I adored the finales of the two haves: when Bloom had to made a dangerous choice to safe her loved ones and the Sun or give Cosmix to Valtor and when Icy aided the Winx with the last prime star. The stakes were pretty high, even for a lower demographically made Winx season.
Also what happened to those dark creatures that were talking with Valtor? So much ideas for lore and future villains!

Winx Club season 8 is the worst Season of all because the characters drawing design are a lot different from their usually Nickelodeon Season 5-7 designs drawing and to me the Winx looks like Bratrz doll.
The story it's self is a bit off. First obscurum team up with Valtor half way in the episodes and then later the Trix have returned and team up with Valtor again for the second half of Season 8. But it's not just the episodes it's self but the characters in Winx Club season 8 doesn't make sense.
    1. Orion- we only seen him halfway until after episode 13 and never seen Orion again for the rest of the Season 8 like if he's done for good
    2. Diaspora- Now I have a lot of issue with Diaspora returning in Season 8. Back in Season 6, Diaspro team up with the Trix after they conqued Eraklyon Institute and was promise to be part of the Trix's team after she succed in taking down Bloom which Diaspro is willing to. However Diaspro suddenly disappeared after the confront with Bloom's sister Daphne and never been seen for the entire Season 6 which doesn't really make sense.
But now Diaspro reappeared in season 8 at Eraklyon Palace instead of attending still at Eraklyon Institute. What I've notice that she wasn't punished for what she had done at Domino or her scheme from Season 3 like if these event never exist in the first place. What bothered me is that Diaspro is still after Prince Sky again and this she tricking him to go on her Eracklyon misson but failed and then left at the beginning of episode 19 which doesn't make any sense either.
What else doesn't make sense is why hasn't Diaspora transform to her fairy form just like she did back on Season 6 in order to help Sky against the black unicorn 🦄 or during their fake mission.
    3. Musa and Riven- They've break up their relationship at the near end of season 6 but in season 8 they got back to together again which doesn't make sense at all in the first place or why Riven return in the series.
    4. It's a shame Roxy didn't appear again in Season 8 then again neither have Daphne, I just hope that Roxy will return in the new Winx Club Season 9 so she could finally earn her enchantix and become a guardian fairy like Bloom, Stella, Flora , Musa, Tecna and Aishia.
5.The worst of all in Winx Club Season 8 which I felt is unfinished is the abandon story of Icy's kingdom and her sister sapphire still curse as a white fox by the Shamon Witch. I just felt this is wrong and I'm hoping that the upcoming Winx Club Season 9 will continue were Season 8 left off.

You know, it's really stupid to say the season is the worst just because of the artstyle and whitewashing 🤦🤦
Just imagine if there was old artstyle, would you then say S8 was the worst? Try to think and say objectively!
In this season there was no : Magic Winx Cosmix, or : Bloom, fairy of the dragon flame, each fairy got her personality back, we saw their friendship and hanging again, each fairy had again her own style and clothes depending on her own style and personality! Clothes were not just the same with different colors like in seasons 5-7!
Also the plot was more mature than seasons 5-7! Transformation sequences were not lazy and horrible anymore!
So in conclusion, S8 can't be the worst, because just look at that Nickelodeon disaster! Nickelodeon destroyed Winx Club and everything we loved! And Rai tried to do everything they can to remove bad things Nickelodeon brought to the series!
So S8 is plotwise, transformationwise, qualitywise better than Nickelodeon seasons
