When I didn’t have any access to mobile devices (because I was very young), I would always watch Winx Club on the TV. I would beg my parents to watch Flora’s first Enchantix transformation over and over again. It was incredible.

The point is that the Italian author only wanted to do 3 seasons since the beginning.. Then due to the success he was convinced to do one more.. After that he would have likely stopped but it was bought by Nikelodeon and so they kept the story going with little participation of the author. I always think shows shouldn't be dragged for too long or they become boring or out of ideas. 3 seasons were supergood, the 4th acceptable but then.. It went down the hills xD
But season 5 was good in my opinion
The show should not have gone that far out to season 8 to even get a life action ( which sucks) . It should have ended in season 6

Apparently a Season 9 has started to be talked about as well to be produced... I don't know if that's true or not, but I looked it up, and some people are saying it is. I actually love Season 6, but Season 4 is definitely my favourite! Roxy is my favourite character in the Winx Club franchise, and possibly one of my favourite characters of all time (alongside Hiccup from the entire HTTYD franchise and Viggo Grimborn from Race to the Edge). I fucking hate Season 8, and actually, I hate Season 7 as well, mainly because of how unforgiveable the dance was for the Butterflix transformation, and how Roxy didn't even get Butterflix, even though she's the legit Fairy of Animals! The only good thing I can really say about Season 7 is that Roxy is back to being a major character, and it's the last season that we get to see Flora as Latina-coded, and Aisha as fully black, before we get Season 8, and Aisha is practically Latina-coded, and Flora is practically white. If you like Season 8, and I'd even go as far as saying if you're a MASSIVE fan of Season 7 as well, you're SO weird, and that is such an unpopular opinion, that you shouldn't even admit it in public!
You can't imagine how frustrated I was when you cut Enchantix song before the "OoooooooOooOoooOooh".

what pisses me off about winx club nowadays is that everything is about bloom, back then in season 1 all girls were so individual and had their own background story.. but now its just, oh bloom is doing this, oh bloom is fighting her, oh bloom is struggling to do that, oh no bloom doesnt know what to do, bloom is searching for this because blablabla
i thought that the first few seasons (like 1-3) were meant to be more focused on bloom since she was trying to find out more about her past and birth family, but yeah i figured afterwards that they'd shift the focus more to the other girls' stories as well lol
(mind u I only fully watched 4kids for the 1st 3 seasons so i don't really know any plot of the rest 💀) but still the concept of bloomix seemed pretty ridiculous to me too lolll

Girl literally had two movies and 3 seasons dedicated to her. I wanna see more of Aisha, techna, Flora,Musa. Stella story is a really interesting. And we haven't seen much of Flora's background. Season 6 shows of a lot of Aisha's background just not as much as I'd like.
The bloomix outfits carried the whole season, if it weren’t for them looking absolutely gorgeous the season would’ve burned to ashes

Dude... I totally forgot that tecna was thought to have literally died in earning her Enchantix. That alone cemented Enchantix's story and concept as outstanding.
Let's say this: when America completely took control of Winx, separating it from the original Italian story, the show became dumb and horrible

So Daphne, a character that is supposed to be dead, gets her own transformation. But Roxy, an official member of the Winx, and the representative of earth, does not get any power up or new transformation. Not even in the transformation that is focused on animals.
Girl I'm so mad. My girl Roxy deserves at least a redesign.

The problem was that the way her character was introduced was... really unlikable. I didn't like Roxy with how hostile and snarky she was in general to the girls. Yes, she had a way with animals... but I never actually got why she adopted more pets than she was technically allowed. Did she think that the winx couldn't look after them properly? I mean, with her personality it was possible. But we never got a discussion. Nor did we see her return some of the pets so they could adopt them to other people.
They made Roxy out to be this Bloom substitute in that she starts out like Bloom. But she was just not very likable from her attitude which is understandable why they dropped her from the main lineup.
Not to mention, Roxy is younger than the winx club so they'd have to overcome that age gap.
@@JustAnotherPerson4U I really liked Roxy. As a girl I wanted to know more about her and the fairies of earth. As for her being all sassy with the girls, I kinda understand her. The winx just came out of nowhere, shattered her reality and expected her to be a guardian right away. Of course there were going to be difficulties. And here is were the age gap could be used in their favor, Roxy could have ended up as a her student. After all the Winx were originally going to be teachers.
The character has a lot of potential. I don't understand why she keeps coming back to the show yet she is refused from developing as a character. In that case just make Ariana Grande to voice her and make her disappear :/

Enchantix reflected their powers, differences, individualism and personalities and no one looked like the other. They all looked special and had to be earned individually by sacrificing something important. But now all the transformation outfits look the same, just in different color schemes or motives and they get them handed to them for breathing. It's quite a pity like they all became 1 person instead of a group of different individuals. The fact that Tecna doesn't wear pants anymore is hideous.
I know it's your opinion but speaking of individuality and showcasing their powers and personalities bloomix mythix charmix and believix are accurate for them
@@syedmustafa5476 post season 4 believix they all look the same, all of them wear the same dress with different motive and in different colors, the same shoes, the leggings, the style, it's hella pinkish etc- compared to enchantix or the first transformations there is no individuality. Bloomix did try at least tho they are still a lot alike overall.

@@syedmustafa5476 I think by showcasing their powers, they meant that it reflected them each and the transformation looked very individually based on their powers. Enchantix did everything right. It was cohesive, individual, natural, beautiful, strong and not to mention it was pleasing to the eye. They looked gorgeous and so powerful compared to their first transformation- not a diss since that is what the creators had intended.
Nowadays they get a bit of fire or water in their transformation and that's it. They all look more or less the same and it is just sad. They look gorgeous but just not as "wow" anymore.

Also, that is noa rgument as none of their outfits ever really present their powers. They have individual colors and the power is shown throughout the transformation.

@@francescapatti2934 I think the main question is whether there are male fairies or not. We have fairies, who we see are mainly born female, witches, sorcerers, wizards, non-transforming magic folk, and non-magic folk. Is the ability to transform a biological thing that only the female magic wielder can do? In that case, a trans male fairy could probably transform. If using male hormones or a magic spell changing the biological makeup of the body affect the ability to transform, though, then a fairy using them probably won’t be able to transform. A mtf trans person might be able to transform, but idk cause the winx series doesn’t bring up the topic of whether a male can be a fairy with transformation magic.
I feel like a large reason to why Enchantix is a fan favourite is because in the first 2 seasons their transformations were the same with the same outfits so when this happened, it was unexpected and long waited at the same time somehow. Who would've thought they would have an outfit/transformation change? It was the first time since their original outfits. But as the seasons progressed, it seemed like the makers got convinced this was a way to get high ratings and overdid it with more transformations too soon and too overdone in the way it wasn't needed and it was pointless.
I know this is a months old comment. You're right. Rainbow deliberately held off on giving the girls a new transformation for 2 seasons and this had the effect of Enchantix feeling like it'd been earned. But more than that,Enchantix was the only transformation so we got plenty of time with it and we get to see most of what it can do. Starting with Season 4,there's often 2 forms at minimum which often leads to one of the forms feeling underutilized or pointless.
Hello Harmonix,(S5)Butterflix,(S7),and Bloomix(S6) I don't think that cramming so many transformations in every season is good for the development or pacing of the seasonal story arcs. I'm not asking them to hold off for 2 seasons for a new form,but they should definitely go back to 1 form a season. I'd rather have 1 good,solid, fleshed out form(in terms every aspect including spells),than 2 or 3 undercooked ones that I don't care for because not enough of it was showcased. That was one thing I liked about WoW.

But yes,I did like the show. it had it's flaws,but I feel like it was a decent way to try capture some of the original tone and atmosphere of old school Winx for older audiences(even if feel like Rainbow should just bite the bullet and hard reboot the main series to streamline it some.) and at the same time,it didn't fall into the trap of trying to totally copy the older seasons(1-4) and did different stuff that made it have it's own identity.I do think that Season 2 was weaker though. But I especially like Wow because it actually stuck to 1 transformation a season. But WoW is a LOT better than Pixie Pop that's for damn sure.
This is off topic,but personally I wouldn't mind Rainbow doing more spinoff shows based on secondary or tertiary characters in the show instead of just an AU.
Like,if Roxy cant be an official Winx,why not make a show focusing on her school life and the conflicts she gets into?You could also use it as an excuse to expand on how the Earth and the magical communities living has been doing since Season 4. Since magic has come back,have been new fairies or other magical beings coming into their powers? What about the politics that Nebula has to deal with since she became Queen of the Earth fairies and by extension Roxy,since she is technically the first in line for the throne? What are the potential issues of magic being reintroduced into a world that has until now lived without it? And how would that clash if someone of the people that came into magic were totally normal before that?
Or hell what about a spinoff show about Mirta? Her perspective is a unique one given that she's a witch turned fairy. You also used her to expand on what Witch culture is like.
The point is that with spinoff shows, if done correctly, can do a lot for fleshing out world building. And Winx Club IMO is sorely lacking when it comes to giving enough detail to a world so it feels believable and lived in. In every season,especially the later ones the show throws bunches of neat ideas at you,but they're never explored in any way or they just get dropped altogether. And that's a shame.

In the earlier episodes, it was said that Stella is the fairy of the sun AND moon, and I hated that throughout the show the directors never highlighted that part of her. Like, where’s her moon spirit. I would have loved to see that, but of course, they didn’t.

Her charmix has blue cuffs and enchantix has blue wire in her top as well as in her wings. Also, they didn't really give Stella much moon in her character because Sailor Moon fans apparently, sh*t on the Winx about it.

Trust me. Ending with season 5 is for the better. It was the last good season. Seasons 6 and 7 were god-awful. Season 8 was mediocre, but at least an improvement over the previous 2. Heck, even the live action remake was better than seasons 6-8.

Technically she is supposed to be a Believix level, she kinda cheated the rules because she’s from Earth and believed in her magic. She was meant to be a Winx too, but Nick scrapped her. I always thought she was supposed to be a Winx level because Bloom even said it when she told her she couldn’t go to Diana’s kingdom, but considering Aurora is more deadly apparently Roxy isn’t as threatened 🙄 and I feel in way the writers were trying to cheat her way through Charmix as she overcame her fear of being a fairy and Enchantix by saving the Earth fairies including her mother from a stupid mirror. The point of Charmix is to show you getting in touch with your inner self and overcoming your deepest insecurities, but Enchantix is to emulate you have grown into a more powerful fairy and you’re ready to endanger yourself or sacrifice something important for someone else without getting something in return, like you’re doing it because you’re a selfless person. Not to say Roxy was prepared to die or something, but she literally hasn’t even been a fairy for more than 2 months, and really doesn’t even get into any situation where she knew she could die aside the Day of Justice, telling Morgana she wouldn’t leave her friends, instead fight alongside them

I feel like Aisha / Layla is the real favourite of the bunch. I mean, sure Bloom is overpowered and stuff, but Aisha / Layla is just awesome. She's talented, atheletic, her designs are amazing, maybe even overshining Bloom's, who's supposed to be the main character. I feel like having Aisha / Layla as the MC wouldn't make that much of a difference to the whole show overall.
But then again,if the roles were reversed,I feel like Aisha would get so much hate and Bloom would be the favorite girl.

@@onyrizc2262 After season 3, it made no sense from the story perspective to have a main character. The friendship dynamic could have been more equalized, with each girl being an MC. That's kinda what happened in season 4 but they deleted all character development in the following seasons.
I also think that 1-3 did a better job making Bloom interesting and she wasn't in the spotlight every episode. You could argue Stella was MC in episodes 1-5 from season 1, because she was the one moving the plot, then Bloom took over the story.

@sparkly psycho I watched winx when I was 7 too! Honestly this is one of these series that shouldve just stopped after season 4. Its like the walking dead, a really good series that just turned into a money making thing and having to stretch it for endless amounts of seasons. I think they shouldve rebranded the winx, kind of what H2O and mako mermaids- everyone still has H2o in their best memory and loves to look back on it, but maki is good in its own way too.

I have to say that something I really admired about the Winx transformation outfits and sequences from seasons 1-4 was how unique they were to each girl while still looking like they belonged together in a set. From season 5 and onward, I noticed that the silhouettes of the clothes in the fairy forms and their transformation sequences became nearly identical. Still liked the designs of Bloomix and Harmonix though even if the transformations themselves didn't have creative sequences and didn't serve a good narrative purpose.
From season 5, they basically took one design and made alterations for the patterns and colors. Everything else is identical.

Which is a shame because the original fairy forms, Enchantix, and Believix of seasons 1-4 managed to create individual outfits for each of the Winx while still keeping a cohesive aesthetic. It was one of the things that originally pulled me into the show as kid in the first place.
Season 5 and onwards didn't even try - I don’t think it would have been as irritating if two or three transformations were pretty much the same design - but all of them? Especially since they decided to have two transformations per season (with the exceptions of Season 8 and World of Winx).

It's not just the transformations. It's also the art style, animation technique, outfit design in general (outside their magic forms), the music, the writing, to a certain extent also the voice acting.
From experience I can tell you that the higher ups (in companies like Disney, CN, etc) are actively trying to dumb the show down in creative expression. Both to save cost and appeal to as many parents as possible.

I really wish that they had kept Tectna's lazor wings from her Winx transformation in all her others. It was the one thing that I loved about her original transformation more than all the other girls.

You have no idea, I had s/o pick a fight with me in my comment over Enchantix here bc guess what S8 Enchantix , Believix and Bloomix are better and more individually. They were so obsessed with changing my opinion and how the majority is all wrong. That we old ppl don't like new things and how we only prefer it due to nostalgia which it's not true. They even wrote essays on that, I swear. Like, like what ya want but I love Enchantix for various reasons.
I like how all girls had to prove themselves for getting Enchatix. Aisha/Lyla was ready to be blind, Stella and Flora almost died, Musa was ready to burn herself, Tecna risked her freedom, and in case of Bloom we saw the consequences of incomplete transformation. None other transformation beat that. BUT, it has some misperfections, which people seem to forget. Firstable, the sequences. Aisha's is extremely short, I still don't get it, why didn't she get full-sequence transformation? Also, there are some animation mistakes. I'm not the biggest fan of designs too. Musa, Stella and Aisha are hardly dressed, which seems just not practical during the battle. Magic Winx/Charmix were connected more with their powers (flower-shaped dress, headphones, shape-changing wings), I cannot see it in Enchatix.
I think Bloomix has the best design. Each girl looks individual they have some similarities, but their wings look totally different, and some of them have nice details (Aisha's fishscales, Bloom's dragon scales, Tecnas digital design etc). And BIG WINGS are back! Also they look like warrior fairies which is awesome. However, the sequence is... bland. They just doing stuff.
The best sequence... I would say Believix and Sirenix. In Believix we see Aisha's water-power (that lovely drop), Flora hugged by plants. In both Musa is dancing, in both we see Bloom's dragon flame. In Sirenix we see Tecna's "programing" herself, which is awesome too. Stella in both is shiny.
The best song- for me it's Harmonix. Lyrics are good (something like a dream has found me; full fairy power let's rock this), music is nice and it's just more than whoooaaaah + name of transformation over and over again.
So yeah, the ideal transformation for me, would be the mix of those. You can disagree if you want, feel free to share your ideas.
Well, my favourites transformations are Sirenix, Enchantix, Believix and Harmonix. The designs are so fucking gorgeous and, specially with enchantrix and sirenix, you can se the upgrade. I just love them

I didn't really like Enchantix nor Believix, I understand that Enchantix was more "prove-yourselves-worthy" than any other transformations. However, when I like something, it has to be appealing towards me. Enchantix didn't have that design and song choice I was hoping for. Transformations like Bloomix, Mythix, and Harmonix are much more appealing, in my opinion, even if the story line went to crap. We all need to understand that story line isn't the only thing that plays a role in these transformations. Again, no hate, just opinion.

I am a firm believer that story is literally everything and no matter how terrible songs, animation, and voice acting can’t pass story. I think the story on enchanted was on pint and that’s why we love it so much. It’s the reason and not the destination. It’s the execution and not the concept that fully encaptured children around the world. Kids shows need, even if it’s a little bit, a story. It has to make sense or else nothing can save it regardless if the season itself is unique in another way. Enchanted was the one time they managed to create good character progression, reasons for the transformation, character development, and a satisfying and slow execution of everyone actually earning their powers. You can still have your opinion but I’m just talking for the people who liked Enchantix because it was the one time everything made some semblance of sense and characters grew into our role models.

I really wish Belivix was earned a different way. They could have done so much more. Throughout the first episodes there’s numerous scenes where the winx girls “touch people’s hearts” so it would have been a lot nicer to see each girl earn their Belivix individually by helping someone.

How are the Believix designs a hit and miss? They actually greatly represent their personalities while keeping it Earth-themed! They're unique and most importantly, if you haven't noticed, this was the last time the designers designed them individualized. They're all different, not the same basic design or type of clothing.

i love enchantix. looking back at the way they earn it as an adult, it's dark. flora drowned to get hers. tecna almost died too. musa went into fire and bread in alot of toxic air and could have died. like could it not be eny darker? 0.0
@@Kxitties thats why they did all the spinoff shows with netflix. they changed it also because thats what nickelodeon wanted. they wanted more money from the yunger kids. also a reason they changed the animation so they could work faster.
