In addition, Season 6 outfits had waaay too much pink for the characters. Very redundant... that's not like Rainbow at all to design their clothes like that. EDIT: I can say the same thing about Season 7's outfits when it came to the plaid color. Heck, Bratz dolls hardly had any pink clothing. I can clearly see what Carter Bryant did there and I commend him for that. And like Winx, they had diversity.

There is a rumor going around about there being a season 9 and it going back to the original art style, so maybe some of these outfits will make a comeback.
The issue with Bloom and her color palette is exactly the same as the whole Disney's Little Mermaid issue. It's all about how both industries had started their story with a REDHEAD as main character- and that's not the problem! The issue is, *because* they are *the main characters*, this means the targeted audience will have them as "favorite character" most likely; and, that targeted audience happens to be little girls who are in their "ALL PINK" phase. It's not about who the characters are, their personality or ethnicity, it's about what kid's parents will buy for them. And that's pink.
I actually like the vibe Season 4 outfits gave the Winx. It's a lot more home-y and chill, just the Winx girls kind of like having a casual day in the planet Earth.
They never thought of that. Kids don't wear high heels so you don't really think about that detail. In fact I never thought of that so...????!???!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think in season 5 this was the first time we saw actual water powers from Aisha like two cups she just moved water in cups into does douchebags faces so I think its intentional to give Aisha her more water side
Personally, I really don't mind pink on Bloom, as long as its blended well and doesn't over-power her. Blue is her main color, we've been known (which Fate obviously isn't, although I *do* like the red leather jacket they gave her), and it contrasts so nicely with her fiery red hair. In regards to the regular outfits, I think her altered S2/S3 look with the pink hearts and pink armband works because it's a noticeable detail on her clothes without being distracting, and I think her S5 look is super pretty, a beautiful balance of using both pink and blue as a main color scheme (as are ALL the casual S5 Winx looks, because wow, they were gorgeous). With the transformations, Believix and (original S5) Sirenix used pink the best. Believix used a very light, pale pink for Bloom's sleeves, the edge of her skirt, the long socks, and the heart patterns on her wings, while still letting blue be what catches your eye the most. Sirenix, especially in CGI form, was almost entirely blue, with dark pink being used as a striking yet subtle blend in her wings, skirt, and shoes. 💙 (And personally, I think Sirenix looked better in CG, on all the girls not just Bloom. The wings looked two jagged and their more wild hairstyles too messy in 2D). But yeah, looking back at her entirely pink shirt and entirely blue skirt in S4, the colors clash pretty violently, especially against her hair. 😬
I agree completely! I don't think pink on Bloom was bad at all! I even really liked her season 4 casual, and I don't think it clashed as much as others might think.
Funny, I actually like Musa’s Season 4 look as the loose hair with the side bang is a nice change and the plaid skirt looks cute. However, it does look more girly than her usual look so I definitely understand the criticisms. The Season 2-3 outfits and Season 5 outfits are the best.
What I love(d) about Winx Club was how they said "fuck you" to color stereotypes, where Bloom's main outfits are primarily blue, Flora is pink, yellow, and orange, Stella has greens and oranges, Musa has reds and blues, Tecna's purples fits in with her greens, and Aisha's pinks and greens are gorgeous.
I would love to see your rankings of the Trix’s outfits/transformations (since they seemingly forget to wear normal clothes after season 3 (except for the dance stuff in season 8))
If you’re ever considering covering another show, I’d recommend the pretty cure franchise. It’s a sentai style magical girl series that’s really big over in Japan and it’s also created by Toei. It gets a new season with a new cast and plot every year. Unlike most magical girl series the girls rely more hand to hand combat, some seasons more than others. And it sometimes also touches on some dark stuff like depression and parental death. It also comes with a troubled history of getting to the west. The first season actually got a decent dub, but it only aired in Canada. 4kids licensed it but never produced a dub, though it still got a hack dub known as Glitter force by none other than Saban which was actually pretty recent and it’s still on Netflix. The only country where it really caught on besides Japan was Italy where it aired on the same channel as Winx, they were able to faithfully dub up to heartcatch until glitter force came along. The west only started getting official subs last year and so far only 3 seasons have been fully subbed in English.
Fun fact: The first season of Pretty Cure with Cure White and Cure Black also aired 2004/2005 in Germany with a german dub of course. I watched it as a kid and loved it to death 😂
I loved seasons 2-3 outfits but season 5 is a close second. I loved the bright colors and how each s5 outfit was uniquely designed for each girl. everyone sleeps on season 5 as a whole, but the outfits were one of the best parts of the season:)
I loved Blooms iconic blue theme as being a redhead who also loves blue it was nice to see outfits/colour combinations that I could potentially wear (also as you said I was tired of fire type girls being in red/orange- still waiting for a water type with red hair) was really sad when they try and put her in more and more pink as its just so generic Also yes Musas tomboy looks! in the newer seasons they constantly make Musa and Tecna more femmine like the others and loosing their tomboy/geeky side which made them unique and showed you don't have to be a generic girly girl in pink with long hair
I’m so surprised that Season 5 outfits took the top 3 spot, I mean it’s one of their best casual outfits so far after Season 3, and that also is one of my absolutely favorites looks for them. The Winx have their own different personalities and styles, the color palletes and it’s combination matches very well.
« Flora s5 looks like she’s gardening rather than saving the world » that’s exactly what the nature fairy is supposed to do when she’s not saving the world 😂🥲 this is her casual outfit so it doesn’t have to be badass. For me it’s one of the best winx looks ever, it fits her so well and represents so well her sweetness and elegance
Almost all of Musa's and Techna's outfits are enby/femme goals. The one exception would be Techa's S8 outfit, and I'm not quite sure I could pull off Musa's S2 "back to school" top. However, Musa's S5 casual outfit more than makes up for that.
one of the main reasons i can’t fw the later seasons is the way they completely threw away Musa’s tomboy personality and made her so femme. don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with feminine characters. but as a little girl i always identified most with Musa because she was a tomboy unlike most of the group in season 1. like you said, it seems like they forgot who Musa was
@Will N I mean realistic and healthy aren't the same thing. Tecna and Timmy are way more interesting than Bloom and Sky, but nothing will be healthier than Nabu and Aisha for me.
Overall I don't dislike any of the outfits, except Musa's stage outfit in season 4. That's how I dress when I go to a convenience store, not when I'm performing.
Stellas s1 outfit is about sunflowers, hence why orange-green-yellow color palette, I suppose she likes that flower bc she also made a cushion with the same pattern. It makes sense, fairy of the sun likes sunflowers.
Time for an overly long comment overanalyzing cartoon outfits: I feel that the later seasons had over-designed outfits, which makes them seem messier. The later seasons also kind of missed what made the earlier seasons' designs work. The season 1 look is very iconic as is the season 3 look, but they were stylish in their simplicity, both in coloration and patterns. They used 2 base colors at most and these colors enhanced each other because the colors were close to each other's antithesis in the RYB color wheel. This made sure that the designs caught your eye, but it also made it easier to recognize which character you're looking at. As much as I like plaid, it's very busy when looking at these designs in particular. That's not to say the other seasons didn't have outfits that worked fantastically, but it is just something I noticed. Maybe it's more personal preference, but because the characters are now oversaturated with pink, patterns, and layers, they lost a lot of the eye-catching contrast and simplicity that made the first designs work for me.
I know he's at least a fan of She-Ra and The Owl House, seeing how both of those shows were mentioned in his video covering The White Fang. I'd actually love to see a video covering The Owl House, especially with all the news that broke out yesterday regarding that show.
Everything about the first three seasons is iconic and arguably the best seasons of the franchise. From story to fashion and even the humor, everything about the seasons was amazing.
I feel like the reason why Musa makes the season 7 & 6 looks worthy of the praise is because of her hair and because the colors of the outfits are her color palette for her transformations, pink/red and purple with occasional blue.
Sorry for the essay: Okay, I need to explain this very carefully because I'm getting a little annoyed from the uniform seasons. If you're going to do a school uniform in your series, design a background/blank character first with the uniform. To set the standard of what the base uniform will be. Then do your main cast, and add their character touchups. The concept of a uniform is to make it look like that they're all going to the same location. This is the reason why in most anime you have a school have a school uniform . It has a sweater vest, blue jeans or pants, or looks very much like a suit. Not to mention also the school budget usually comes from either the students buying the uniforms or the school itself supplies the forms. This is all about using the accessory system to shock your individuality and also to see what you can add to a stock uniform. For example, take a look at the sailors scouts in the series of Sailor Moon for an actual school uniform with the exception of their ribbons, and their collars, which technically should be the school uniform colors, but it does distinguish the characters. Besides technically the books are usually in black and white, which means it shows off the idea of why your accessories, and descriptions come in handy. That said, I do think the prototypes do look nice. They're just following the wrong rules. Unless they're going with the color scheme uniform type, but even then there are some spurt guidelines on where the placement of those color types, and what outfit can be utilized with those color. And I'm NOT even writing a school drama and I know this stuff! Sorry for the essay level of my ranting it's just this combined with nobody in the media deciding to do research(and I barely cover the news) I get a little annoyed when nobody does. This is more knock on the outfits! But your work is fantastic, and love the fantastic artist works!
It's the fact that they wore a frickin uniform on s6 & s7 (sure not exact the same but you know what I mean) when during s1-s3 they use casual outfit and yeah not uniform. Cause that's how their school is. Although I still like some casual outfit from s6 like the one they wore when they visited Eldora
Tecna's s1 look is also kinda sporty, and she was "the sporty one" in s1 showing her strenght from time to time and her martial arts transformation intro.
This is a really nice video and I honestly agree with almost all of the commentary. At 16:07 I was like “isn’t that the point!? 🤣” Flora’s always looking like a she’s ready to hit up a flower shop, but that’s just who she is. I like the softness because they didn’t erase that part of her, if she didn’t have the softness it’d feel like they were erasing a key part of who she is Inherently. And I’d honestly have Floras outfit before Stella’s or Blooms in this seasons casual look. 🌸💚
8:39 Yeah, looking at it in perspective, Musa's look doesn't really make sense with her character.... but I still think aesthetically she looks amazing!! 🤩🤩😍😍
My opinion: 8)Season 7 uniforms 7)Season 4 casual (I love Techna and Aisha outfit) 6)Season 8 casual 5)Season 6 uniforms 4)Season 2 back to school 3)Season 5 casual 2)Season 1 casual 1)Season 3 casual

I loved this vid! Your outfit analyses are great, and how you pointed out strong points. Maybe you could do a similar vid for the boys casual looks? And throw in their combat outfits as an aside since they don't really change xP
Finally, someone said about pink on Bloom. I also think it's not her colour, or should i say this garish-bright shade they constantly want to throw on her, especially in the later seasons or Specials. For this reason, i don't like Bloom's outfit in Season 4. Too girly for her personality
My opinion that will be updated: 1. Season 1 Casual Iconic, amazing, no words, just my favorite. Made me love Winx, especially Blooms pants, no skinny jeans in this house. 2. Season 2 Back to School Amazing. I love it. Bloom look is iconic. The Stella outfit? Amazing, i love it, love love love it. Everything is just amazing 3. Season 5 Casual Stella stealing Blooms Enchantix look? Kinda iconic. Musa being more masculine again? Yes. Aisha? Yeees. I just love it. 4. Season 3 Casual It's here just because i didn't have any space left. I love it, but not that much as the others. It is truly iconic but i never got the chance to fully watch or understand season 3 5. Season 8 casual It's middle, or almost middle. It's fine, not good, not bad. Idk how to feel about it just 6. Season 6 Alfea Uniforms I just liked them, there was more diversity then in season 7 and it was just kinda cute, not good, not really bad either. 7. Season 4 Casual I am sorry Musa, you deserve in this outfit more, and Layla too, but oh my God, what in the heel si everybody else wearing? (Like, i love the Musa on yes, but true, it doesn't fit that much, and she looks like future e-girl). Tecna si fine, but bloom? No. No no no. Stella's shoes? 😬 And socks? 😬 8. Season 7 Alfea School uniform Hard agree, also what is wrong with Flora's shirt? 🤨
I hate how everyone says musa always saves the fit. Or looks the best. When in some fits, she really doesn't look as good as the other, and all that is just because she's their "favourite"
I love most of the outfits that the girls wear like the outfits they wear in season 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and 8 and the world of winx. I also I love most of their transformation outfits they are so pretty. Also I love Bloom's sweater with the hearts and the skirt, she looks pretty in them.
My personal favorite outfits are season 5,3and 1 I love the colors and how it shows the girls personalities there just so beautiful no one can top those imo but I mostly always love musa’s outfits

outfit was actually eason 2 show must go on/Magic in my heart.
is it just me who loves Musa's season 4 casual outfit?..
Not just you.
You're not alone
Stellas s1 outfit is about sunflowers, hence why orange-green-yellow color palette, I suppose she likes that flower bc she also made a cushion with the same pattern. It makes sense, fairy of the sun likes sunflowers.
I love the outfits they wear in Season 4 while giving the Shop a makeover
Time for an overly long comment overanalyzing cartoon outfits:
I feel that the later seasons had over-designed outfits, which makes them seem messier.
I think we all can agree that tecna is a queen💅🏽✨
Thank youuu
Tecna. Not Techna
Techna ???????????????
NOTIFICATION SQUAD WHERE YOU @.
Btw you should totally check out Miraculous, Shera, The Owl House and Lolirock🥺 I love your writing
I know he's at least a fan of She-Ra and The Owl House, seeing how both of those shows were mentioned in his video covering The White Fang. I'd actually love to see a video covering The Owl House, especially with all the news that broke out yesterday regarding that show.
Maybe you could do a video ranking the Totally spies outfits? They had some of the best fashion
Everything about the first three seasons is iconic and arguably the best seasons of the franchise. From story to fashion and even the humor, everything about the seasons was amazing.
My favourite outfits are the ones girls wear while working at Love & Pet. Flora's headband with a cat ears = ❤️
I agree Season 3 and season 1 are the best! They just look so cool especially Musa with her ponytails.
I feel like the reason why Musa makes the season 7 & 6 looks worthy of the praise is because of her hair and because the colors of the outfits are her color palette for her transformations, pink/red and purple with occasional blue.
Anyone else in LOVE with Bloom's s8 outfit?
(And flora)
Me
Sorry for the essay:
Okay, I need to explain this very carefully because I'm getting a little annoyed from the uniform seasons.
Season 7: *I'm blinded by the plaid.*
Season 4 is my favorite and nothing will change that! The casuals are my favorite,Believix is so beautiful!
I would have to agree style wise. My favorite season storyline is season 2
@@wolfie_snowflake ok
Whoa I didn't expect s1 outfits NOT being on 1st place, they are ICONIC for me, colors are perfect, while I don't like s3 palette.
I kinda wish they'd wear the outfits when they visited Alfea's park for the whole s7 cuz i love it espacially Stella!!
Bloom’s season 6 outfit makes her look like the annoying teacher’s pet🙄
It's the fact that they wore a frickin uniform on s6 & s7 (sure not exact the same but you know what I mean) when during s1-s3 they use casual outfit and yeah not uniform. Cause that's how their school is. Although I still like some casual outfit from s6 like the one they wore when they visited Eldora
I love how bloom wears blue . It compliments are hair
Tecna's s1 look is also kinda sporty, and she was "the sporty one" in s1 showing her strenght from time to time and her martial arts transformation intro.
I love it when people make commentaries and rankings of the Winx’s outfits. I love this video.
So in other words,... Musa got the best outfits.
THANK YOU! I've never really liked Bloom in pink/purple. Always liked her more in blue green and sometimes yellow.
awe, I wished you had mentioned Roxy's two mail outfits as a bonus!
This is a really nice video and I honestly agree with almost all of the commentary. At 16:07 I was like “isn’t that the point!? 🤣”
Flora’s always looking like a she’s ready to hit up a flower shop, but that’s just who she is. I like the softness because they didn’t erase that part of her, if she didn’t have the softness it’d feel like they were erasing a key part of who she is Inherently.
And I’d honestly have Floras outfit before Stella’s or Blooms in this seasons casual look. 🌸💚
Season 4 made me cry. I still miss you Nabu 😭😭😭
He got killed off after just one season.
Musa's back to school outfit really gives her 1999 pilot outfit
YES give that love to S2 back to school looks, they need more appreciation, especially Tecna's and Musa's
9:00 I feel like musa’ could’ve been saved if they gave her sneakers and a different hairstyle 😭
8:39
Yeah, looking at it in perspective, Musa's look doesn't really make sense with her character.... but I still think aesthetically she looks amazing!! 🤩🤩😍😍
My favourite are the season 5 outfits!!! I kinda wish that kept them for a few more seasons.......
My opinion:
8)Season 7 uniforms
7)Season 4 casual (I love Techna and Aisha outfit)
6)Season 8 casual
5)Season 6 uniforms
4)Season 2 back to school
3)Season 5 casual
2)Season 1 casual
1)Season 3 casual
Girl I love that Video. Can you please make a video ranking my favourite type of outfits - Ballgowns. Love your channel and I also felt that season 7 outfits...that there was something odd about them and you inlighted me. Great vid.
Flora always had the best outfits
5:50 aisha... Did you eat?
So am I the only one who literally Loves Musa's season 5 and season 6 designs? My opinion only tho I respect you're other opinions!
My opinion that will be updated:
1. Season 1 Casual
Iconic, amazing, no words, just my favorite. Made me love Winx, especially Blooms pants, no skinny jeans in this house.
2. Season 2 Back to School
Amazing. I love it. Bloom look is iconic. The Stella outfit? Amazing, i love it, love love love it. Everything is just amazing
3. Season 5 Casual
Stella stealing Blooms Enchantix look? Kinda iconic. Musa being more masculine again? Yes. Aisha? Yeees. I just love it.
4. Season 3 Casual
It's here just because i didn't have any space left. I love it, but not that much as the others. It is truly iconic but i never got the chance to fully watch or understand season 3
5. Season 8 casual
It's middle, or almost middle. It's fine, not good, not bad. Idk how to feel about it just
6. Season 6 Alfea Uniforms
I just liked them, there was more diversity then in season 7 and it was just kinda cute, not good, not really bad either.
7. Season 4 Casual
I am sorry Musa, you deserve in this outfit more, and Layla too, but oh my God, what in the heel si everybody else wearing? (Like, i love the Musa on yes, but true, it doesn't fit that much, and she looks like future e-girl). Tecna si fine, but bloom? No. No no no. Stella's shoes? 😬 And socks? 😬
8. Season 7 Alfea School uniform
Hard agree, also what is wrong with Flora's shirt? 🤨
I love the winx and Bloom's back to school one is good
I think the S6 outfits would have been perfect if they kept with S4's narrative that they were teaching at Alfea
Why isn't Tecna the queen of fashion?
THE SONG AT THE VERY END JUST REVIVED SO MANY MEMORIES
end result: musa is the most fashionable
Stella because she makes the outfits lol.
Lol you have to thank stella for that cuz she's the one who make the outfits
I love Musa's long hair with Magic Winx in Season 3.
I only watched one Winx club episode but the outfits in the thumbnail is so pretty that I had to watch!
I’m in love ❤️With this
We need more fashion videos.
Maybe next you talk about the looks in World of Winx
My personal favorite outfits are season 5,3and 1 I love the colors and how it shows the girls personalities there just so beautiful no one can top those imo but I mostly always love musa’s outfits
14:20 I love how her top gives off an eastern vibe or in her case I guess a Melody vibe.
"I'm old! Oh my god, I'm so close to death..." such a mood
Also, "bloom is a fire elemental who isn't automatically put in red" is something Fate: The Winx Saga needs to take notes on.
For season 5, they also all have the same friendship charm bracelete. Yes, I agree with these statements and your statement on tecna "Buissness casual or just fking weird"
