I feel EXACTLY the same about used stuff. I clean houses and I see how gross lots of people live. I am a very clean person and I can’t get past my germaphobia. 😊
I buy what I "Need" not what I "Want". I hardly spend any money per day. I am very lucky because Coffee is Free for me and co workers. I budget on Saturday like clockwork and I keep track of what I spend.
I am a single guy who lives on my own on a lower income.I Really appreciate your videos because they seem to pertain to me so much. I do the mason jar thing for drinks on the go. Now I drink coffee all day and there is a Starbucks right in the store I work in. I used to buy 2 cups a day, now I make a pot of coffee in the morning and put it in a cheap thermos i got at Walmarts and take it to work everyday. This saves me like 10 dollars a day!
I live on a very low income and yeah, taking care of your stuff is super important. As a musician, I'm of the mindset "buy the good thing once" because theres a lot of cheap crap out there that's just a waste of money. All of my clothes fir in a small closet so, I don't need a dresser, all my books fit in a box that i can put in my closet and all my tools are in a toolbox in my closet. Any seasonal wear stuff, I put in a suitcase in my closet until i need itm i don't have a bed yet but, I'm working on it :)
Here's a tip. Instead of having your freshly brewed coffee sitting on the burner all day. Make your coffee, then pour it into a thermos. I am old school and use a glass insulated thermos.😁
I have curly hair and it would cost so much money for a DevaCurl haircut. Because of the pandemic, I found RUclips videos on how to cut curly hair and now I have saved a lot of money for something I could only do once a year due to the cost.
Mason jars are fashionable though! lol I'm older than u, and i still have my old water bottle and i had to actively de-influence myself from buying mason jars cuz all the cool minimalists have one lol life's funny.
Well, seems like im already an expert of frugal living (even cheap at times lol) . Trying to find any new means to save more, but nahh, im already on top of the game seemingly (trying the survive the hyperinflation with my two dogs and a cat...)
About your germphobia, you have to work on it to actively get rid of it. Jordan Peterson comes to mind. Although he talks about many things. I stopped when I got 2 cats. My home never feels clean enough. Lol
Mason jars. I thought I was the only person who did this. I make espresso coffees every day using my $450 DeLonghi French press (that I got 2nd hand for $24) and pour them into mason jars. SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hear you on the germaphobia. Ever since COVID I have a hard time opening public doors (handles). Never thought of the mason jars for travel mugs. We have wait too many cups on my house of 5. I need to declutter some.
I think so. I have yet to have the rona despite working with the public. I've only been sick once in the last 5 years. I wouldn't really say I'm "super careful". I just avoid people who are sick and wash my hands a lot.... and take vitamin C in the winter. And I'm still wearing a mask in public. ....Maybe I am super careful 🤷♀
1st time watching. So sad I can’t follow you as your attitude toward success. ( he doesn’t need more money) is offensive. If you stick to your topic I would have stayed. Best wishes 😊
How can her attitude towards money be offensive? It's a thing, in real terms it's not real. It's origins are just a form of battering. All she's saying is what she does and doesn't spend her money on. She's just applying the attitudes of a generation or so back. It's interesting in the fact that in the 21st century we've come so far away from what was the norm for our grandparents
The way our culture celebrates the rich and powerful is really sad, infuriating and destructive to our planet. Those people could not care less about the rest of us. They will continue to rape and pillage the Earth so they can have more expensive cars and designer luggage. Wake up, Musk bro.
I save a WHOLE LOT of money by not having a girlfriend. I'm slightly above average looking but not good enough to get women's attention. For years, I'd get frustrated because of this. But now in my late 40s, I actually LOVE living and being alone. I don't spend my money on unnecessary things like dinners, concert tickets, alcoholic drinks, nice clothes, or flowers for a girl. I don't go out at all. I don't own a flashy car as I don't need to impress anyone. I am going to look for that 50% off Porn Hub promo code though.
I mean.. my bf and I don’t do like any of those things or really buy things for each other. We save a whole lot living together, splitting costs on things. We don’t really do holidays or anything. We go on vacation together sometimes. But other than that for fun we literally just go shopping for good deals, like thrift shopping.
You mentioned your vegan would be cool to see some of your favorite dishes!!
Same here! I'm also vegan and love experimenting and creating cheap but delicious meals
Noticed the 50% off porn hub hahahha

I died 😂😂😂

Nicole, how long have you been cutting your own hair?

loved the point - "take care of your stuff"
Just wanna let you know you such an inspiring soul ❤
Excellent ideas. Thanks for sharing. Have a fabulous week.
Yo vendo todo lo que ya no uso. Es una forma de recuperarle un poco de lo que gaste en ello y recuperar el espacio que ocupan las cosas.
YES! Especially to Nr. 2 , 3 & 4 (whereas, to be honest, I would not buy used sofas or other furniture with textiles either 🙂)
Agree on the textiles. Because of bedbugs, in part.

omg we could be besties! vegan, love a simplistic life and I hear you with the germophobe thing. I work with kids!! haha

I do have germophobia, but buying used electronics is a gamble. I have still done it.
So many kitchen appliances are homes for cockroaches.
I don’t care about your new house, sorry.
Doing your own taxes is insane lmao
My best advice is to never get married!
Well, seems like im already an expert of frugal living (even cheap at times lol) . Trying to find any new means to save more, but nahh, im already on top of the game seemingly (trying the survive the hyperinflation with my two dogs and a cat...)
All good stuff.
Good job!🙂

That deuce bags company discriminates big time also!
Used dishes...ugh I'm always afraid people fed dogs out of them.
Always interesting and fun too🥰🥰🥰🥰

Curious, do you get sick less since you are a Germophobia always wondered if people that are super careful get sick less
