i’m in England and my tip for females is buy mens stuff - it’s sooo much cheaper! for example i needed a new purse but a mens wallet was £10 cheaper than the female equivalent 💁🏼♀️
tip: if you buy crackers, cereal, or anything like that, when its finished, keep the bag! It's made of very durable plastic, much better than baggies and cellophane. Keep as a bag or gently take apart at seams and use as flat plastic wrap. Can be washed and reused dozens of times! (I wouldn't re-use if you've used it for meat in it though).
@@tammya5403 I've never actually bought ziplock bags (or any other kind) to keep groceries, I wash and reuse the bags I got with bread and groceries, fold them tight at the top and secure them with a clothespin. I've got a small basket of clothespins in the kitchen for that use. When the bags get too shabby I used them for the rubbish.
I started doing pick up on my groceries...I order online then pick it up after Walmart shopped for it.Thats keeps me on my meal plan and budget.NO IMPULSE BUYS!
Same. I spend far less when I order them to be picked up. I buy less stuff and guess what. My family doesn’t starve. It’s easy to buy more than you need in a grocery store
One thing I do is look for items I want to but and put them in my shopping cart and put as many things as much as I want, then move them later to 'save for later' and just gives the window-shopping effect- dopamine rush and no purchase
Hi Nicole ! I am from Portugal in Europe . I love your videos . I think it's really important most people start understanding how to protect the environment and their finances . Everything I use on a daily basis I try to re-use including zip lock backs . I use them , i wash them , hang them out to dry and good as new. They last me years !
Minha mãe sempre tem feito o mesmo com todos os saquinhos ziplock ou não, e eu agora fago o mesmo. Os vizinhos vão pensar que fiquei tolo ao ver os sacos na corda fora com a roupa O_o
Fast internet is one of the things I definitely splurge on, because otherwise I may rage break my computer... 😅😅😅 That's mostly a joke... I also don't understand why people are willing to pay service fees on bank accounts... Like, why? Most people do online banking now anyway, and never visit the teller. I've needed a teller ONCE in the last 7 years.
For females I would suggest: menstrual cups that are renewable 2 for $12.16 on Amazon or reusable menstrual discs 2 for $11.99 (save 5% w/coupon) or $11.39. Save the environment, save money and time not purchasing monthly products. As a female I count the number of toilet tissue squares. For pee, 3 Charmin, 4 Cottonelle and for poo, 4 Charmin and 5-6 Cottonelle. If needed, I use more. Definitely wash your hands afterward. PS you should be washing anyway. Monitor/experiment with how much product you need. Everything from laundry soap to dish soap, shampoo to body wash/bar soap. On a heavy perspiration day I use more vinegar. Vinegar kills bacteria that causes Oder on clothes. Every now and then I use vinegar to wash my underarms if they get smelly and soap just isn’t enough. Sometimes I wash and then use a triple antibiotic cream (generic, of course).
My family (of 5) and I always buy our phones used on eBay. Only from people (not businesses), only ones in super good condition, battery health really good, seller has a 98% or above rating and/or has sold a ton of stuff - and it's always worked out well! Only 1-2 times in, like, 10 or more years have we gotten a lemon (that's a TON of awesome phones)! My current iPhone 12 Mini was OG $600 - got it for :D
Ohh I'm here for that one! I cook almost everything I eat and I feel really good when I do in addition to saving money. And I live in a tiny Boston studio so I only have 3 pans, maybe 5 or 6 cooking utensils, a sheet pan, one cutting board, one good knife etc.
@@rorygilmorelove6 I actually didn't learn until I was in my early 30's and it was mainly out of necessity because I was diagnosed with RA and Lupus and needed to get better habits. I'm 38 now and doing really well because of those habits. I only used Pinterest recipes! I would search stuff like "cheap paleo meals with ground turkey" or "healthy Mexican recipes." I never make anything complicated or super expensive. :)
I used to use Rakuten but I found that Top Cash Back mostly has much better cash back. Sometimes I'll still check Rakuten if it's a larger purchase, just to make sure.

I’m loving all your content so far. I’m definitely getting inspired to do better & consume less. There are a lot of things I don’t necessarily agree with though, one of them being that vegan is better for the animals. Hunting helps the animal population so it’s not overrun with disease. However, I can see why one would be vegan-dairy farms along with pig farms and other facilities that slaughter animals have horrific conditions and the animals are treated poorly. I wish more people would bring attention to this topic. It does make me feel bad for consuming meat, but for me vegan wouldn’t solve the problem..something more has to be done. Anywho, love your honesty and I’ve been enjoying your channel..keep them coming:)!
It's inarguable that vegan is better for the animals, they don't want to die. Especially by the literal billions each year. That hunting thing is a US specific issue. Doesn't apply all over the world. It's pointless disagreeing with people who live their lives by strict moral codes & values.
I buy a lot of stuff NEW at Costco, use it for 6 months or a year until I’m tired of it, then return it for full refund and buy something else that I want.
Agree on food and coffee and drinking (I don't drink alcohol much) I wish more folks would eat at home and vegan/veg and crush factory farming. It is cheaper!

I've just stumbled on this tip recently myself!! The female tax is foul. Excellent tip :)
this is true in America too!

I reuse this too, haven't bought bags in ages. Love hearing from like-minded people. Warm wishes from South Africa. 🌻
I also reuse resealable frozen fruit bags. They're excellent!
Thanks! I need this since I no longer buy ziplock bags
