I bought the xs20 last month. I love the deep grip, I think it makes it very easy to shoot with one hand.
Got mine coming tomorrow. The deep grip and bigger battery and same great sensor sold me. This is going to be excellent.
I started taking pictures as a hobby for almost 4 years now with my xt20. Still my first and only camera. But i found myself taking more videos lately to upload to my instagram reels and i always bring my camera to document my hiking, hence why i’m drawn to xs20 and definitely will be much greater update to my xt20 already. But at the same time, i started getting some kind of job offer to from friends for couple photo session and also post-wedding session, and this made me think xt5 might also the one i need if i want to be more serious about this hobby. And your video is so helpful but also unhelpful to my dilemma rn 😂

Very happy with the XS20 as a Beginner. Only downside is NO Tiltscreen and a little small EVF.

I bought the X-S20 last year and really like it.
I looking at a lot of reviews for the X-T5 and X-S20, I thought that the electronics for the X-T5 were underpowered for the 40 MP sensor. The X-H2 had better electronics for that sensor.
Bought the xs20 and I love the grip, the size and the pro quality video. This is one of the best cameras Fuji have made.

@bassmanchristian1431 The xs20 has all but the Reala Simulation, which it will get in a firmware update this summer.
After watching like 2000 YT Videos about Fuji and Sony .. and finding your channel here, i bought a x H2 with Tamron 17-70 f2.8 for my start. First i tough i need the x h2s but .. after much research i think the h2 has the better image quality, the h2s is better for video. So it was easy for me, cheaper, light better image quality, even low light is better in photomode, after you apply noice reduction in post you will get a better image because the 40mp get you more data to recover the image, the noise is on the same level like the h2s but you have much more details. I would go with the xt5 if fuji would but the same Technic as the h2 .. (BUFFER) ! its a insane good looking piece of art. maybe in the future like a secondhand xt5 and a new x h3 ;D love your channel and content.

Xt-5 for me I don’t vlog so I don’t need the tilting screen. I’m happy with the video capabilities of the xt5…
The XS-20 is the winner for me. I prefer more modern DSLR-inspired placement for dials and buttons, and I prefer a nice deep grip for making zoom lenses still comfortable. The X-T5 DOES have a good comfortable grip for smaller lenses. But for me I just feel much more secure with the larger grip of the XS-20. The only thing I'm missing is I wish I had the 40 megapixel sensor in the XS-20. But I can definitely live with 26 megaixels - it's more than my Ricoh GR has.
I got the XS-20 because I’m a short lady with tiny hands! I really do enjoy how “user friendly” it is while still giving you the freedom to move your ISO, shutter speed etc.
My photography buddies also call it “the post-retiree camera” and I agree!

XT5 all the way! As a Photographer I can't see my self picking XS20,are you kidding me for $1700 you get a professional camera, that can compete wity high end full frame cameras ,that's a steal for the price.
No way for me as a professional photographer gonna choose xt5, aps-c is not enough for me, sorry.

Good video. Let me just say the XT-4 intrigued me so I took a look at the XT-5 and it was instantly disqualified. They did not bring the same articulation for the screen. Many may use it for selfies. I set up photo stills with the screen facing the lens. A few complained and Fujifilm cut out 20% or so of their market share for the camera. Two things they can do, come out with the same XT-5 with full articulation or do an up grade to the XS-20. Also, am I seeing a bit of Canon game playing going on with Fuji? I won't buy Sony anything. Period, because of their bad attitude. I am starting to lean away from Canon and Zoom for the same bad attitude. Now Fujifilm is starting to play games. They need to stop and show their customers that they have their backs. Most of the issues I've seen being stated about the XS-20 are from folks whose mind set is with another brand and are having problems adapting to Fuji-think. Or, it is something of very little concern other than to a 1/2 of a percentage point of people. When I buy something it is because it will make my life better and/or easier. I am not going to buy something that keeps fighting with me. I hope this doesn't sound too negative. Again, good video.
I just bought the X-S20 with the XF 18-55 around a week ago. I was wondering if the X-S20 would do great in hotter climate because I will be bringing this camera to South Korea in July. I know there are issues with overheating and I only got it once when I was configuring the menus (temp. is set on high btw). It may still be possible to change my camera for the X-T5 and keep the lens I have now to further upgrade with a compact prime lens with WR. I will be using the camera mainly for photography, and perhaps travel.
X-S20 likes: grip, overall sensor and processor it has, small form factor, fully articulated screen, built-in flash
X-S20 dislikes: overheating issues, no WR, PASM dial (I'm a beginner but I find it easier to adjust exposure triangle based on the videos I watched)
X-T5 likes: compact (around same size as X-S20), easy access to dials (exposure triangle), two SD card slots, Weather Sealing, new and larger sensor (40MP), tilt screen
X-T5 dislikes: no built-in flash, grip (idk maybe long term)
I'd like to know if the X-T5 also has that overheating issue because I'd rather upgrade/opt for it now rather than going past the return window and regret. Any advice and feedback will be appreciated.
out of my 1 year that i own the XT5 overheating warning sign came on once. and that was due to the sun shining directly at it in 30 degree celcius. But once i changed the temperature settings I didnt have any issues. Here in the Algarve the summer time it gets around 30-35 degrees and with my limtied time i had with the XS20 it was fine. It didn't show any overheating sign but i only took photos. It'll be different if you're using this camera to film videos.

It seems to me Xt5 is more vivid and puncher, or perhaps I am mistaken. I narrowed down my search to Fuji xs20, xt5, and Nikon z6 ii.

Hey Man, I've watched this video like ten times and still undecided. I want all in one camera. Compact, two memory cards, weather sealed, most for photography. As my backup and travel camera. Main is Sony A7IV and I was a Fuji user until X-T3 and I miss the Fuji soul and colors.

@@Iamtongue Yeah, maybe ! I had the X-T1, still have the X-T2, had X-T3, the X100V I loved just the size for travel, fortunately it becomes a cult camera and I was able to sell it way more that the price I paid.
I'm just worry about the files and storage. But yes, I'm leaning towards the X-T5

If I want to make a kit: camera for video and camera for photos.. do you recommend h2s + xt-5 or h2s + h2 ? (From the xt-5 I like the screen, the size/weight, of the h2 that I would have two bodies the same and easier to know, I would mainly use them to document my life, both photos and videos.. ) thank you!!
Those are tough decisions it depends. Me personally the XH2s and the xt5 makes sense. I don’t do anything demanding to require the xh2 specs.

I'm very undecided. I don't have the budget for xt5...I sold my xt30II and now I was thinking of buying xs20...stabilization is very important for me because I use lenses like xf 90 mm f2 and Viltrox 75 mm 1.2 where ibis - plays an important role. I'm not interested in the video part, what I'm really interested in is the autofocus. Is the autofocus on the xs 20 superior to the one on the xs10?Thank you.
with the updated sensor in the xs20 it's a bit more reliable!
MPB is offering me $730 for my x-t2 and 56mm trade in. Get this or the xh2? More photocentric with light videos. Will do occasional beach photography, so the weather sealing concerns me.

I've been using the X-S10 for as long as you do. One thing that frustrates me about the X-S series is that its overly sensitive evf sensor does not compliment well with it's fully articulated screen. Whenever I shoot portrait from a lower angle, as my left hand cups the camera I trigger the evf sensor even if it's 1.5" from the EVF and the LCD screen goes blank. This often causes me to miss some important moment and seriously hinders my workflow. I've never picked up an X-T3 or X-T5, but if the 3-way tilt screen does not have this problem I'll definitely go for the X-T.

That's very true. Sometimes the camera strap also activates the sensor when shooting portrait. It's a design flaw that could easily be solved by a better software.
@@JennyLyn-qr8pl isnt there a way to turn off the sensor so that you only use the LCD screen?
@@leonthesleepyyes but then the camera becomes LCD only, and if you want to use the evf again you need to press the button several times to cycle through the options.
If you're going to do that and fiddle around just put the view mode to LCD only. Problem solved.

I wanted the xs20 but I ended up getting the XT5 with 16-80mm f4 where the lens was free. Sold the lens and now the XT5 ended up being cheaper 🙃

I know that Fuji doesn't advertise properly the dual gain iso feature
Like for example the xt4 where when using flog the second gain iso is at iso 2000 where the noise is cleaned up more and is apparent after grading compared to iso 1600.
So regarding the xs20 can anyone confirm if this also applies?!
If so what Is the dual gain iso when using flog and flog 2 ?!!!! Does it work the same as xh2s or xt5 or identical to xt4?!

I never understand people going for hire video specs because at the end of the day 99% of videos are watched really no difference between 720p and 8K when we're watching a video video creator will definitely notice it for sure but the guy or the girl on the train will not really care whether it's shot in 7:20 or 8K open gate as you would say but the difference in photo quality from a average photo to a good quality photo with the better specs is much more noticeable full stop because video moves we get distracted by the content and we actually don't really look at what it's shot in I couldn't tell 1080p from 4K half the time and this is why I think the xt5 wins this battle easily because it can still shoot 4K 60 and seriously 1080p is enough I'm actually quite disturbed by the fact that they released a camera that was almost the same specs as an xt4 I don't understand why you do that I think xs20 is a great little camera
if i buy XT5 if i only use in photo i think XS10 is great the extra 1000usd i will buy viltrox Pro lens 75mm 1.2 and 23mm 1.2 😊😄 if they will sales the XS20 maybe i pick that than xs10.

Last question, I can get the x-h2 for only about 500 more than the x-s20 right now. How would you rate the autofocus of the x-h2/x-t5 against the x-s20 now that you have had a little more time with them? Due to my remote location I am unable to try before buying.
I currently have the x-s10, but I’m not happy with the buffer, battery and autofocus.

Do you care that the X-S20 is just an XS10 with the latest sensor? Or do you want to play with an entirely new camera with a new 40 megapixel sensor in the xh2? Mind you 40megapixel raws will cost more storage space for you in the end.
I LOVE your channel! I’m a photographer that is exclusively Fuji and the XS10 was the first camera I bought and omg.. I love her. She’s everything lol. But! I need another body for when I do weddings now to use both. So still struggling with which one to get😭 I want the xs20 cuz it’s closest to my xs10 but the xt5 would be a fun upgrade and maybe I should try it out idk😭
XT5 requires more storage space meaning more cost. But it is reliable though and you may want that for the dual sd card slots.
But the xs20 is fucking awesome as well haha
I think that if Fuji will add recording directly to SSD via USB-C by upgading software in X-S20, it would be more than welcome and would make this camera even better.

Nice video! I noticed a LUMIX S5 in the video. How do these camera compare to the LUMIX S5?
S5ii is amazing.. although it could be too much video camera for me at the moment. I think in capable hands it can do some serious damage. I think the photo quality is awesome. Nice and clean, the phase detect AF is way better on the Panasonic s5ii than the XH2s and the xt5. But for some reason I keep coming back to the Fuji, probably because it inspires me to shoot. The lens selection is also lacking not much character to them.

Personally, the non-flip screen of the XT-5 is a nogo for me. I love flip screen.

I have the S2, hate the flippy screen, SHOULD have bought the superior T5 and will. Better screen, EVD, Sensor, IBIS rated better on T5 and miss the dials on T3 once had. I care nothing about Video.

I think xs20 could be a perfect camera for many people if had a better evf...2.3M is the lowest for today standards..it 3.6 would been really amazing and would sell mugh more but as for now probbaly many go for the sony a6700 for better auto focus(on that price point) imo

The xh2s is nice for video.. It has a more filmic look to it.
@@abielmedina9428 open gate wouldn’t be all you get. You get 3x the readout speed in 4k24, you get more dynamic range in 4k60, you get 4k120, and you get 14bit readout in Flog2. Xh2s crushes xh2 in terms of video
