    This is the Miriam Webster pronunciation.
    poinsettia
    noun...poin·set·tia. pȯin-ˈse-tē-ə, nonstandard pȯint-, nonstandard -ˈse-tə

    If you look at the actual word, it is POIN...no “t” . They come later... “SETT “. The last two letters are “ IA” If you pronounce it as it is spelled you have the correct pronunciation. I think it has become “POINTSETTA” only through mispronunciation. It looks like they will except either...one being non-standard. I like to pronounce things as they’re supposed to be pronounced so I do the first pronunciation. Anyway, a buttercream poinsettia is going to taste delicious no matter how you spell it! Lol! I can’t wait to make some!

    Hi, I'm german. The Video is great. Herr in Germany the german Name of this flower, translated in to english, means "christmasstar"! That is quite nice, I think, and way easier then your Name. One flower, I would like to See in one of the next videos, is a frangipani.

    • @TheDeltaBelle
      @TheDeltaBelle 6 лет назад

      h.a.d.umanga Lakmini To make the icing, just beat one pound of butter till soft, creamy and lighter in color. Then add two pounds of confectioners sugar, beginning with just a little at a time to prevent it from becoming one big dust cloud. Then add two teaspoons of vanilla extract and just enough milk or cream to get the consistency you want. Start out with just a tiny bit of the milk or cream, then add more if needed. This icing will keep in the refrigerator for 2 or 3 weeks in a covered container.
