Always great seeing Colton. That chair that tips over so easily, no foot rest in mid recline and head cushion needs to be some way adjustable for different height persons.
In September I bought a recliner for 540 from Ashley furniture that's a million times better than this for just 140 more. And it's actually styled to be used in a room instead of being styled for 14yros
Really like where you going with Shortcircuts, and also Colton definitely deserves more screen-time. But one small complaint tho. I know in Canada you measure the height of a person in feet and inches, but you’re also a custom to the metric system so it would be nice for your global audience outside North America (and UK to an extent) to have actual reasonable measures. It’s totally enough to add a lil banner with the conversion and can easily be done in post. Just for y’all not familiar with it, a person’s height is usually measured in in meters with two decimals like 1,82m although 182cm would also be fine. And by the way this is of course welcome in all of the LMG channels, so simply add meter, centimeter, kilos and grams in a lil banner and I’m sure your European and Asian audience will appreciate it.
As someone who's used a recliner as a computer chair for years, to the point where it's now breaking down, can vouch for using one. So glad this this video came up as I'm in the market to replace my aging 400 dollar (on sale mind) chair. Won't be with this crap though, I already plopped down 1000 for a Laz E Boy chair.
My gaming lounge chair is one I bought from IKEA for 39$(NOLMYRA). I also bought a tiny nightstand which is use my mouse on(KNARREVIK, 9$). If you buy two of those nightstands you can have a one handed keyboard(like Razer Chroma) on the left side and your mouse on the other. I have actually mounted a monitor stand onto the nightstand, but it's very unstable. I am thinking about putting a more sturdy desk right next to my setup and mount the monitors on that. The monitor arm swings infront of me so I can rest my neck and properly relax. My PC case is a tower, perfect height as a armrest and somewhere I can place one handed keyboard. I will upgrade this slightly though, but this is a very small, but worthy investment that can revolutionize your setup. (I am about to move, and will have more space, so I will upgrade my janky setup, with a sturdy desk that will hold the monitors instead as the KNARREVIK as it is too flimsy for holding monitors without support. I have reinforced the top with a wooden plate so the thin sheet metal isn't torn by the leverage of the monitor stand)
Standing desk here for gaming, best thing ever for my lower back ;) ... just learn which muscle you actually should use to hold your body. PS: Yes, butt, abs and shoulder blades should actually keep you standing properly, meaning low back is relaxed, but many people today have it learned wrong due excessive sitting. Took me months to re-learn after getting my gaming-caused hernia.
What I learned from this whole video (which was mighty good) is that we need a video showing off the options for this "lap board". I have been using the back of a kitchen cabinet door for something like a decade now... it has the height for wrist support but not the width to sit on both arms of my recliner.
I have similar setup. instead of the cumbersome board thing, just put a small table to the right of the recliner that is same height as the armrest - it's perfect for mouse. Then wireless keyboard on the lap. Not perfect, but way less hassle to get up and sit down.
This gaming chair reminds me of the chairs we have at the dialysis center. It can recline all the way back, but it's pretty comfortable since we need to say in it for four hours - enough that I can take a nap in it.
5:09 lol, I like how Linus in the beginning was asking if it was made in Germany because "Germans are taller than us". Yea, I don't think that chair has to be made in Germany to be built for people taller than 5'6"...
Can you assemble it without the feet? Looks like it would be much more stable, wouldn't fall backwards, and your feet would touch the ground if the chair was lower?
Gaming chairs are the most useless and overpriced pieces of garbage I've ever seen. Just get a decent office chair. They are ergonomic, actual survive some years and aren't nearly as expensive.
It needs more upper back and neck support. I use a recliner for my pc. and i use extra pillows to support my neck and upper back, cause reclining back while hunching forward hurt my neck alot. I use and end table for my mouse and keyboard on my legs.
Now, this is a gaming chair I'm interested in, looks cozy and great for TV gaming, console or otherwise. I actually have a couch in my bedroom for comfortable gaming. Although I ended up not using it as my 27" monitor is too small to play from a 2 meter distance... So untill I grab a LG CX 48" it will keep not being used
