I went through the same thing 2 days ago, try to get the smalest rachet with a long 8mm socket and dont be afraid to move those wire harnesses around !
Good job just changed the head gasket on my 2012 srt8 It’s hard to mix the upper and lower push rods being that the intake push rods are shorter then exhaust push rods and the rocker arm rest on the spring and the cup of the rocker arm is in its natural position so that’s why I didn’t have to mark them And the rocker arm shaft for the exhaust has a notch in it versus the intake rocker arm shaft I bought the Haynes manual for the car made it very easy to do this job
hey!! sometimes we take these things apart and redo things to stop the rough idol, and lack of performance. I went through all these things with my gen 3 but it wound up being the transmission valve body...just food for thought...rough idol was fuel injector, but removing the heads and getting ported ones are the best option for a good 30 hp gains and similar trq.....good video man...thumbs up.......oh I took out the wheel well liner and accessed the lower bolts that way....real easy to get to that last bolt...removing the headers from down pipe is easier than taking it out of the heads....just because of breaking the bolts...
I have an 07 Charger 5.7 I took the intake manifold off and next I'm on gonna replace the heads. I just hope the pistons are in good shape. Good job on your video bro.
Well my charger needs a new crankshaft rod bearing spun and shaved the crankshaft down really bad. So that is why I have metallic shavings in my oil pan whole engine needs to come out. Just my luck.

if your piston is bad, you can do it from under the car.remove the oil pan and pump, expose the crank, then take the connecting rods off for that piston ,drop the piston down and replace it .....I seen it done by my dad and know it can be done.,....harder while under there but you wont need to remove the motor...
@@AMONTE7 awesome..im getting a creat motor, going to monster my old 5.7 one myself..somthing about the torque it has..just slams...good luck brother..take it to the limits..
The trick on the back passenger bolt by the firewall saved me soooo much time and effort. Big respect for that
No problem
Those last two bottom head cover bolts brought me. I’m loosing my mind over here. 2011 5.7. I’ll get ‘em 😂

Did you drain the coolant from the block first? Or did it all fall out when you pulled the head?
I drained it but it was still some left
Iv got a 2019 RT charger does the manifold have to be on the head when reinstalling ?
It’s easier to put the exhaust manifold on the head before it goes back on if that’s what your asking
What tools did you use very helpful
Ratchet wrenches, Ratchets, Breaker bar, 3/8 impact wrench, a bunch of sockets, jack stands and a jack
I know that’s right!!
I love you and your videos!!!
did you get it back together?
First off, you might want to get rid of the leaves.
Taking off a head and you are worrying about leaves ?😂😂
can't hear what they say . no help .
