The trick on the back passenger bolt by the firewall saved me soooo much time and effort. Big respect for that

I went through the same thing 2 days ago, try to get the smalest rachet with a long 8mm socket and dont be afraid to move those wire harnesses around !

Good job just changed the head gasket on my 2012 srt8
It’s hard to mix the upper and lower push rods being that the intake push rods are shorter then exhaust push rods and the rocker arm rest on the spring and the cup of the rocker arm is in its natural position so that’s why I didn’t have to mark them
And the rocker arm shaft for the exhaust has a notch in it versus the intake rocker arm shaft
I bought the Haynes manual for the car made it very easy to do this job

hey!! sometimes we take these things apart and redo things to stop the rough idol, and lack of performance. I went through all these things with my gen 3 but it wound up being the transmission valve body...just food for thought...rough idol was fuel injector, but removing the heads and getting ported ones are the best option for a good 30 hp gains and similar trq.....good video man...thumbs up.......oh I took out the wheel well liner and accessed the lower bolts that way....real easy to get to that last bolt...removing the headers from down pipe is easier than taking it out of the heads....just because of breaking the bolts...

Well my charger needs a new crankshaft rod bearing spun and shaved the crankshaft down really bad. So that is why I have metallic shavings in my oil pan whole engine needs to come out. Just my luck.

if your piston is bad, you can do it from under the car.remove the oil pan and pump, expose the crank, then take the connecting rods off for that piston ,drop the piston down and replace it .....I seen it done by my dad and know it can be done.,....harder while under there but you wont need to remove the motor...

I know I did a totally rebuild so I know the motor will be good for a while.
