Fabric conditioner is brilliant for removing dust and fluff off surfaces. Furniture, TVs, etc. you need a wet clean cloth. Pour a capful of conditioner onto the cloth. I haven't tried this trick, but when we go out of town or are away a few hours I pour a cup of granular salt in toilet BOWL, let it sit and then flush it down. It helps keep tree roots from growing or kills the root, but not the tree.

I've seen a similar video minus the cloves. I've already been using laundry softener to make the house smell fresh and nice. I mix it with water in the 🪣 and then use a cloth to wipe the kitchen, floors, walls, even the furniture.

Hi all I'm from Ballarat Australia and I love the tips shared. Also use fabric softner in my wall cleaning mixture to give the house a beautiful fragrance.
Same here. Spices are wonderful for both our senses and health. The chemicals in fabric softener aren't good for us. We don't think much of it when we're younger, all we know is it smells fresh. As we age and begin suffering the consequences from exposure to it we realize just how foolish it was to ignore the warnings.
It'll be a lot easier if you use a larger bowl to mix your salt and then take your little salt mix and put it into the smaller bowl. Otherwise you're just going to make a mess
The best way to make the house smell clean is to ACTUALLY CLEAN it! MOP the FLOOR with a bit of disinfectant in the hot water. Citrus, pine , lavender or menthol work great. Make sure loos are flushed. Disinfect/ clear drains. Any food waste like spicy food, meat, fish is better to be out in a plastic bag/newspaper and out in an outdoors bin. Don’t let wet facecloths sit around. They will stink of bacteria. Open the window and/or use an extractor when cooking sulphurous food.
Daphnie from Toronto Canada 🤗! I use clove essential oil to help spring season with eliminating bugs entering my house, helps with cockroaches, bed bugs and silver fishes bugs
Keeping a clean house using bleach and or vinegar, airing it out once a week, an air purifier and perhaps a diffuser and fabric refresher are all the things you need to do. Also pour pine sol or bleach into your drains.

I definitely had high hopes of this working unfortunately this doesn't seem to be for a larger room I do believe it'll be effective in a closed-off space such as a closet a dresser drawer or even a small bathroom
Rich men can afford scented wax melts. This method does not last a week, never mind, 30 days! Also, if you wanna neutralize pet odors, use plain white vinegar sprayed directly onto area...or place a cup of vinegar in a room to rid any unwanted smells.
My kids have a habit of using a towel once and dumping it on the bed or floor then get another one when they have their next shower so instead of constantly washing them I spray them with fabric softener and send them round the dryer for a minute or two. Voila! Fresh fluffy towels. They never know the difference. 😂
Give them each ONE personal towel, different from the others, and have them wash it once a week after using it throughout the week. It's more hygiene friendly and cost efficient. Also less work for you 😊
@megan893 @sabinechanging2269 - I know this would be the more sensible and logical thing to do, I've tried that too. However, when grandson found himself without a towel his father gave him his to use. I also have no authority over how many towels my son wants to have. I don't do their washing but regardless, it's still using up water, electricity and laundry powder. Therefore if I see towels dumped in a heap I give them a light spray with diluted fabric softener etc......
@sabinechanging2269 - I dilute the fabric softener and put it in a spray bottle. Only need to give it a light spray. I don't consider this to be unhygienic as one person mentioned because they've hardly been used.

I will definitely, definitely try it. Been cleaning and spraying the house with the Sweetest smelling softeners
Hope you like it!
For how many days will the fragrance stay ? I mean if the fragrance goes away what to do next.. will discard the salt or with the same salt we'll add alcohol and comfort ? Please reply 🙏
I would say take the cloves out and add some of this to your washing machine during a wash but do NOT use bleach at the same time
Also dump in the sink with hot water run garbage disposal
Could use some to clean toilets since it has salt
What sort of alcohol do I use? Is there any substitute for the alcohol?
I did this, and I feel so rich, still poor, though
Feeling is everything. Your house smell like rich man's house - you dont become rich that way
😂
😂
Hi there, thank you for this tip, I've been looking for a fragrance that would stay in my house for days..I'm from Cape Town, South Africa .
Thanks so much
I'm watching from 5000 feet up a mountain in central Oregon, US. Great tip!! 👍😁
You are welcome
What do you do with the dtuff once the smell wears off, do you just refill with fabric softner again? Does it have any other use as well?
I haven't tried this trick, but when we go out of town or are away a few hours I pour a cup of granular salt in toilet BOWL, let it sit and then flush it down. It helps keep tree roots from growing or kills the root, but not the tree.
😮 Please do not use cloves if you have a dog. If they ingest them, they can die of poisoning 😢. Nice tip. I'm watching from Batbados 🇧🇧 in the Caribbean
Thanks
Thanks for the wonderful tip... Can we use ordinary salt as base?
Watching from Lusaka, Zambia - Africa. We have two house dogs who like the carpet! I will definitely try this.
Thanks for the tip
You are welcome and wish you all the best
Hi i iust want to ask if its ok if i used rocksalt instead of coarse salt....thanks im watching from Philippines
Yes. You can use rock 🧂rock salt
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I'll be trying it this weekend and thank you for this tip! 😊💕
You are welcome and hope enjoy with this tips
Am watching from Kenya. Thanks for this easy beautiful tip.❤
Thanks friend.
I just discovered, after 6 months of wearing them y scrub pants for work were made in Kenya. Hello! I think that's the 1st time I saw anything made from Kenya. I'm in Florida U.S.A.
Can you use Epsom 🧂 Salt or does Course Salt 🧂 work the best?
How do you revive the freshener, with more alcohol? Or does all the coarse salt dissolve in a month? Thanks for sharing Im excited to use in my garage
I’d rather use natural essential oil instead of crappy fabric softener…I don’t use scented clothes detergents or fabric softener… I would think you’d want less toxins floating inside your home…Just my POV🤷🏾♀️
Thanks for your idea
Thanks for your idea
Essential oils are very toxic for animals. Look it up! Don't tell others about toxic smells without doing your homework first. Just a thought😊
@@retiredchef238 I have and not ALL Essential oils are toxic…my cats laughed at my DIY I tried to deter them from doing their business in certain or keeping them out of my kitchen and off my counters when my back is turned😁
Does it have to be course salt like a Kosher salt,or can regular table salt be used ? I love the smell of fabric softener, thank you, much appreciated, can't wait to try.
Sure, you can try it
I enjoy your channel, appreciate the tips. I’m listening from Espanola, New Mexico.
Awesome! Thank you!
Hi friend what kind of alcohol you used for mixing your airfreshner for room?
Watching from Uganda, East Africa. Thanks for the tips
You are welcome
Watching from Papua New Guinea Port Moresby City,Thank you for sharing God Bless You abundantly, Amen 🙏
Thanks so much ❤️❤️
I've seen a similar video minus the cloves. I've already been using laundry softener to make the house smell fresh and nice. I mix it with water in the 🪣 and then use a cloth to wipe the kitchen, floors, walls, even the furniture.
Thanks for the advice. I’ll use this
Thanks for the advice.
Secret tripper that's a good idea will try this one thank you
@Sharon Chambers
Absolutely!👌 I like the lavender or vanilla fragrance of the concentrate fabric softener 💜 Perfect scent to make your entire home smell amazing.
@@SecretTripper so what must I do with it
How long does the smell last, do I have to refill it with Fabcon ,if the smell fades or I need to throw it . Thanks
Around 30 days
Watching from Ventura, California . I’m trying that this week. I love the smell of softeners. Thanks for the tip. Subscribing.
Thanks for subbing!
I Love Port Hueneme /Oxnard/ Ventura
Thank for this awesome tip. I can't wait to try this out. Looking forward to more handy hints. With love from South Africa 🇿🇦

Love the clean laundry smell... have to try this... michigan in the house😂
It's so good!
Go MICHIGAN!!!, yep
Can you use washing powder like gain? Or did it have to be fabric softners
Hi all I'm from Ballarat Australia and I love the tips shared.
Also use fabric softner in my wall cleaning mixture to give the house a beautiful fragrance.

Hi, I'm from Apollo Bay Australia. What alcohol do u think she uses in this?
@@zoepavlou6990 Isopropyl alcohol from chemist or maybe Woolies...darkish green plastic bottle with a crocodile/alligator on the label (as I recall)
@@debrastarr5083 many thanks ✌️❤️🌞
Fabrics softner isn't formulated to inhale as room fragrance. This is very dangerous for kids and asthma lungs.
It's not relax
Meh, they’ll be fine 😂
It's still better than the plug-in air fresheners, those are more toxic. :/
as opposed to the nomal air in your house?
I’m grateful for the suggestions of people to use spices as alternatives, as my senses tolerate their smells better than those of fabric softeners.
Thanks so much for your sharing ❤️❤️❤️
Same here. Spices are wonderful for both our senses and health. The chemicals in fabric softener aren't good for us. We don't think much of it when we're younger, all we know is it smells fresh. As we age and begin suffering the consequences from exposure to it we realize just how foolish it was to ignore the warnings.
Watching from Barbados..can i use table salt???
Yes you can
It'll be a lot easier if you use a larger bowl to mix your salt and then take your little salt mix and put it into the smaller bowl. Otherwise you're just going to make a mess
Thanks for your sharing
Loved this tip!. Thank you for sharing 💗. From Mossel bay, South Africa! 🌍
Thanks so much
What alchol did u use here?
That's new to me. Clever. Thank you. Inexpensive and smart❤
Oh great, I do hope you will try some time. Blessing
Fabric softner is full of chemicals and not safe. I'm happy that many people are making the switch to healthier and organic cleanign supplies.
Loving your tips all the way from the Bahamas.....I use the orange peel and cloves as well with my concoction.💯👏💯
Thanks for sharing!!
What’s your concoction?
Daphnie from Toronto Canada 🤗!
I use clove essential oil to help spring season with eliminating bugs entering my house, helps with cockroaches, bed bugs and silver fishes bugs
Thanks for your sharing
To repel bugs a mixture of cedarwood and orange essential oils is really good.
Thanks so much.
Keeping a clean house using bleach and or vinegar, airing it out once a week, an air purifier and perhaps a diffuser and fabric refresher are all the things you need to do. Also pour pine sol or bleach into your drains.
To renew this mixture do we add fabric softener to the salt mixture, or start all over again. How long will this last.
How to make your home smell AMAZING would have been a better title like only a rich man's house smells good.
Thanks
@@dorothywilliams3524 because it was such a deceptive attempt at clickbait.

Keep negative comments to yourself&enjoy the very useful tip.because of this clip,I got to read in comment section about other tips too.
Hi Donna...Don't be silly...It's more than obvious that the "rich man's house" comment of smelling good or better, was said for *tongue in cheek* friendly humor!!!
Could we use pink himalayan coarse salt?
That’s okay
I tried this. I could only smell it when I was right near the container. I follow the video exactly how it was instructed to do.
You are welcome and wish you all the best
So it didn't work?
I noticed she used a very concentrated fabric softener, maybe that could be why. It would smell much stronger (and cost much more for a cap full) 😊
Angela Isles, Morehead City NC. this is the most amazing tip I have ever seen. You ROCK❣️I can’t wait to get the salt tomorrow and make my house smell great😁Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome and wish you all the best 🙏
I definitely had high hopes of this working unfortunately this doesn't seem to be for a larger room I do believe it'll be effective in a closed-off space such as a closet a dresser drawer or even a small bathroom
Thanks so much
@@phnompenhrealestate No problem
Just mix lenor in a squeezey bottle and spray everything it smells lovely even on clothes too
Rich men can afford scented wax melts. This method does not last a week, never mind, 30 days! Also, if you wanna neutralize pet odors, use plain white vinegar sprayed directly onto area...or place a cup of vinegar in a room to rid any unwanted smells.
Thank you for your ideas
My kids have a habit of using a towel once and dumping it on the bed or floor then get another one when they have their next shower so instead of constantly washing them I spray them with fabric softener and send them round the dryer for a minute or two. Voila! Fresh fluffy towels. They never know the difference. 😂
Great tip! My kids do the same. It’s a never ending cycle of washing towels.
🤡
I use the scent granules in my vacuum bag. It’s a cleaning hack I use in my cleaning business.
Thanks for your sharing. I will try it
We have an air freshener that lasts for 45-60 days. A house smelling nice has nothing to do with wealth
