- Motorkote tested on Impala shows HP and Mileage Gains:
• Motorkote - Before and...
Check the video above for the first test and review of this product. This video features the same additive used on a different car (2003 Grand Prix GT) and what makes this video different is I analyze the break-in period for the product and at what point you get the maximum benefit from Motorkote. I monitor gas mileage over several tanks, after adding Motorkote and see where the mileage peaks and how much potential gains can be realized. I'll also translate that into how much money you will save each year by using this product. I am not sponsored by Motorkote or anybody else. This is wholly my own experiment to see how good this stuff is (or not). Авто/Мото
Thanks for the follow-up. Seems like magic stuff!
Can you test Bestline? And also test Prolong? Thank you.
I am amazed! I have experimented with different fuel injection cleans to improve mileage with good results! If I do this in addition I should get great results!
The gains seem to be legit and non-trivial. Good luck!
i live in the netherlands but i will buy this stuff for my high milage american Miata.
i hope it will also help with, when your revving and making the car hot to reduce metal to metal friction
I will have to order it all the way from america >.
I would be interested to see the fuel mileage you get if you treat your wheel bearings with it or add any type of hyper lubricant grease to your wheel bearings.
I am most certain you will have benefits even after a single oil change or more.
Based on how it performed in the project farm video running on water with no significant damage.
The manufacture says add every other oil change. Project farm says you have to sand MotorKote off to remove it. Sounds like they are just wanting to sell more MotorKote.
One tank of gas, one data point does not establish a statistical or scientific baseline. There are dozens of factors that effect fuel efficiency, especially uncontrolled, city/highway driving, over a lengthy period of time. You are right, you need faith, to think it actually help and did not harm anything.
I think you're missing the point here. RUclips isn't a community of scientists with an unlimited budget. A rough and dirty correlation is often more than enough for most people. So unless you're making the claim that, "more likely than not, based on the data in this video, Motorkote makes your mileage worse, not better", there's no point in telling me all the flaws in the setup because they don't contribute enough to negate the very obvious delta observed. I come from a technical field myself and am well aware of how to set up an experiment properly. But if I'm being honest, the data I did collect, unambiguously demonstrates that the mileage went in the "up" direction more likely than the "down" direction and given the degree of control I was able to employ, I really don't believe that the mileage improvement is a glitch due to the computer or the weather or air drag or any of that. You're splitting hairs on items which are not going to flip the results on their head.
@ChrisCamaro long before RUclips, info commercials were made by snake oil salesmen, making the same misleading claims and using junk science to mislead consumers. This was 38 years ago, watching Slick50 scam commercials. Your claim of unambiguous results are clear evidence of your arrogance and deception. Wind drag and turbulence is undisputed factors in fuel efficiency, and OEMs go to great lengths to reduce these affects. Your reliance on a brief instantaneous, fluctuating efficiency, is equivalent to claim global warming when the temperature increases from obe day to the next. A mere 3-4 mph change in head or tail wind can effect fuel efficiency on a scale greater than your results. I've done thousands of miles of testing and how wind direction and speed affect fuel efficiency as well as how unreliable instantaneous fuel calculations by the ECM. Based on your admissions and other videos you do have the resources, time, knowledge to perform a credible, unbiased evaluation of the claims of this product, but chose not too.
project farm shows amsoil signature series as overall winner!
When you motorkote in the engine how many miles do you go until the next oil change
Well I did it wrong so don't follow what I did. I'd say you want to change the oil in
Why is everybody so concerned with the mileage the oil additives give I want my engine quieter less heat and maximum horsepower. Enough with gaining 1 mpg. Is everyone that broke.
Well... kinda yeah. I mean CAA membership gives you 3c/L off and lots of ppl will drive to different gas stations to save a few cents on the dollar. An MPG or 2 actually makes a non-trivial difference over the year if you drive a lot and better mileage = more HP so it's not counterproductive.
Motorkote reacts badly with aluminum parts in a engine. it creates a port blocking black sludge. Check your oil pan.
Do you have research to back your statement
Show some proof
I saw this identical problem with engines that have variable valve timing!!!!!, auto manufacturers warn against using additives in the oil( such as motorkote), and if you do not want such problems, you "MUST" stick to the recommended type/ viscosity / change out interval for that vehicle!!!!. the oil of today is really good stuff, and you do not need to use additives mixed in with engine oil. I tried motorkote back when no one knew about the stuff, and I was not impressed with it. when you rebuild engines/ transmissions/ differentials, and see what this stuff does, more like, does not do, it is the classic case of "DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY" MR. ED GIBBS IS A REAL SNAKE IN THE GRASS. YOU WILL NOT GET AN HONEST ANSWER OUT OF HIM, AND WILL EVADE YOUR QUESTIONS. HE WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTION WITH A QUESTION( like a trivia question) what a bull shit artist!!!!
He posts this on every video

if this stuff is that good, the auto manufacturers would use it, but they do not!!!!!, I used this "STUFF" back when no one knew about it, I can say that "it did not help the engine, or hurt it either, in terms of engine longevity, so I can not justify its use, due to its cost, and end result. it would be in your best interest to cut open your oil filter for inspection on the next oil change!!!!!."
