You served me a great inspiration !. Nice work .... Great insights into your panning techniques that were very similar to how I approach a mix. Despite the fact I currently have no access to DAPS because I am in a windows 10 machine ... I have to create CBI Atmos mixes all the time for example using AWS Mediaconvert encodes to dd+joc 768. I use Reaper so I have to mainly focus on 3D BINAURAL releases as for now. I also encode them to Dolby atmos whenever possible but as you know they have limited to CBI 9.1.6 bed experiences or in other words I cant generate adm bwfs to submit them to you for mastering. Eagerly waiting for my time for a purchase of MacBook pro soon... In meanwhile I will be creating my mixes in 9.1.6, for example, using EAR production suite for windows 10 where I can then use AWS for Dolby Atmos exports. I typically monitor my 9.1.6 mix using GPL plugins like MPEG-H which has a bin monitor and I also use that for my RUclips uploads... One more problem I face is I have to deal with limited stems like 10 sometimes but still, I try to avoid the 8D type of panning and see if I can separate them to at least 60 objects for the sake of resolution ....Thanks again for a beautiful webinar ...
What type of mac do you recommend for Dolby Atmos? I am currently in the market for a new machine and Mac Studio Ultra seem like a powerful machine but pricey.
In this case, did you also print the a soloed effects from the stereo mix session to use in the Atmos session or you made new ones within the Atmos session by using multichannel effects plugins? Thanks for you time.
Good question. I took dry stems into the ATMOS session and started from scratch with all spatialization. I am not always using multi-channel effects, but when working in 7.1.4, I like to have the ability to make decisions based on the format, so I start with dry stems when possible.
I really enjoy your videos informative and fascinating thanks ❤
Great, thanks for this Justin.

My pleasure

I think the new mac minis are very strong candidates for this. The M2 specifically is more than enough to run most sessions.
