I'm happy for Andy Samberg. I was surprised when I saw him in the trailer since he's usually more of a comedian.
❤
No mention of the photographs shown at the end during the credits used as tableaux for enactment during the movie, and partly explains some of the nudity you fret about. This is an adult film tackling what must happen when you are one of the first to walk through Dachau.
Ohhhh brotherrr. This sounds like a drag that I’m definitely not going to bother with unless it’s on Netflix and there’s nothing else to watch.
Thank you 🙌🏼♥️
My chats here amongst those seeing it in London loved it, so give it a chance Kellyrob and make your own mind up, but do stay for the credits and what’s shown to put the movie in context.
10:09 🤣🤣
Yes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Hello, Fellas waiting on the terrifier 3 review. Hopefully soon.
What if they don’t review that movie
@@wanya_telborn I really enjoy their takes on movie reviews.
@@wanya_telborn we will riot
Brave? She was topless in The Reader.
Oh, she is always naked in her films.
@@marissasabatino7538 I really liked the Reader, book & film. Left me more depressed than usual, but a good film, with a fine and believable performance from the young man playing Winslet’s lover.
@@kellyrob4296 I, like you enjoyed both the book and film with exceptional acting but the fact remains Winslet was nude in that film for which she one an Oscar for. Being nude in this film doesn't make her more or less brave than she was in The Reader. Thank you for your comment.
Andy Sandberg is this movie?!
That’s what I said
Hmmm... not sure about this review... pretty rough... will watch the film and come back.
I actually personally didn't think that real "Lee Miller" was a attractive womam to start with. When I saw her pics/photos i was asking myself she was a former model?!?! ummm I guess everyone could have been a model back then?!?!
Everyone should be able to model, otherwise it’s an industry that discriminates solely based on immutable characteristics.
Nothing to be proud of contributing to.
Either way, your take is indicative of one’s inner self amounting to scum.
Really? I looked at the old photos of her as a model and she looked very beautiful.
To each their own I guess, I thought Lee was gorgeous. Definitely model material.
This is my favorite artist bio. Her life was amazing. Her entire life should be made an epic film. A documentary on her life was riveting. Vogue model. Man Ray muse in Paris. Photographer. Artist. Stole a married, wealthy Arab and off to the desert. Ww2 war photographer. Knew Picasso. Married a British artist. Settled into a bohemian country cottage among the famous British artist and writers. Look her up.
If you’re counting the number of times the lead performer shows an area of the body, the story may be told in ways which do not encourage suspension of disbelief or compel attention.
Also, did the son not accompany his mother to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in the early part of his life and learn photography from her by taking photographs because she could not for some reason of illness or injury (I may be misremembering the biographical details)? So while he may not know the specifics of her WW2 work . . .
One also wonders about the ages of the principal cast members in relation to the ages of their characters 1938 through 1947 . . .
Other movie critics have been giving this film mixed to poor reviews in addition to you guys. This is seriously disappointing. Especially since this movie has an excellent cast with Winslet, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard, and Andrea Riseborough.
I enjoyed this far more than I was expecting, with a bonus of some back story about Vogue magazine’s early days in London. Tate Britain is about to open an exhibition of Lee’s photographs so I’m looking forward to seeing that knowing more about Lee than I would have normally. The photos during the credits made more sense of some of the scenes and the homage being paid to this fantastic photographer.
OKAY JOSEPH , you better get yourself on down to the UCLA Film School and get that directors degree. ❤️💯😭😭
It looked boring from the trailer. Been no marketing at all so I doubt many know it exists.
I saw this today and I have to agree about Kate Winslow portrayal unless it's really how Lee Miller was. She comes across a woman who had to put up with a lot of crap in her life even before she enters the war. She's very stern, tired and almost joyless. Although she does confess about how she was raped as a little girl and apparently that actually happened to the real Lee Miller. And to achieve the things she ultimately did during that time I imagine she would had to have been a very no-nonsense kind of woman. Someone who didn't put up with any men's bullcrap.
But if this wasn't how Lee Miller actually was then it would feel like an injustice.
I didn't see it but this approach could have worked.
1-- your take sounds sort of Bridges of Madison County, which, whatever.
2-- the take it sounds like it went seems Life is Beautiful which, at the time you realize the pov, breaks you to tears.
There Must have been more as to why it didn't work.
Again, didn't, won't see it but IMHO.
Love you two though.
Your lament of uneasiness that both of you grasp so effectively to highlight here, is well said! Perhaps the son she had is more a focal point? As a 'heir' to something she produced...or disconnected from, as a story formula🙁? It failed miserably perhaps from script - but your opinions on the results are valid☺
Lmao the twist sounds so stupid
I searched for the burial video but couldn't find it, is it a patreon post?
