    I am a fan of you two. I love the moments where Joseph says "we just reviewed a movie where...pause". Nick has recently reviewed 60 in print, 16 on cam, his eyes go on fade waiting for more detail on how to follow this tangent. and then. You roll with that thread from "gossipy ass nuns" to "hail satan" to "but why". Thank you.

    A prequel to Rosemary’s Baby…just what the world needed.
    Nice cast, but good grief. What’s next, a prequel to Citizen Kane? 🙄

      Yeah, thought that was scary at first. But if it was played out better in the film, that would be more of a warning to potential victims. If the protagonist is just dumb, that doesn't teach anyone anything.

    7:01 that would be dope! Like a Halloween vignette based solely on Ben Traymor’s Halloween night. Or the trucker whose clothes Michael myers stole. Freddy’s nightmares is basically the idea but with more. That would be my new fav. Move over black mirror.

    Hopefully someone who likes the books and has a flare for ominous but quirky horror adapts Son of Rosemary one day, I think this may suit Rob Zombie, his stuff can be bleak yet very cheesy.
    There was a very very boring tv series of Rosemary's baby about 10 years ago where they tried something different, I may watch this because that put the bar pretty low but I like the books.

      @CalebTizon 6 дней назад +1

      I would like a batshit crazy adaptation of that book, minus the ending! But yes the miniseries was trash. Watch the 2017 anthology film 7A, the last segment is a stealth sequel to Rosemary's Baby and is pretty satisfying.

    Great review! When I went to film school we would sometimes work with lavalier mics. Placement is very important when using them. When you position them on your neck where your voice box is, it can be problematic. It sometimes creates a echo or can catch your adams apple swallowing. They are excellent mics, but because they are very delicate, it can make your voices very loud. Suggestion: if you place them on your shirt slightly away from the very middle of the neckline, you may have better luck. (example- if Nick is on the left- place it left; Joseph is on the right- place it on the right. This way when you turn your neck towards each otber, there will be minimal interference.) Love you guys! Keep up the great work!

    "You're in Dubrovnik, I don't hear you." I wish they did a prequel to the woman who owned the apartment before Rosemary. We already know what happened to Terri. Or even the history of the Bramford going back as a series.

    I would have rather had a proper sequel to Rosemary's Baby. Show Rosemary raising him, struggling to adhere to societal expectations of motherhood while she increasingly realizes her child is evil and she wants out of the situation.

    There is always the need to go back to much better films. Rosemary’s Baby is a great film that told its story . There is no need for a prequel. There was a TV movie if I recall correctly from mid 70s called Whatever Happened To Rosemary’s Baby?

    I read Son of Rosemary in galleys, after having been a fan of all of Ira Levin's work, even the novel for Sliver and This Perfect Day, an adaptation of which would be timely today. Absolutely hated it. Felt Levin must have had some unending hatred for the reputation of Rosemary's Baby which he now seemed to want to destroy. For a while Mia Farrow was packaged with it, but fortunately it was never made.
