@sebsignat8286 if we're going by the rules of the first film, that death shouldn't have caused the entity to attach itself to the drug dealer. The death is supposed to be suicide. That first death wasn't a suicide.

@@sarab3417 I went and I came back to finish the video 😂 It was worth saving the spoilers. I left the thread with shoulder pain, from how tense I was the whole viewing lol.
So glad you guys liked this one (I LOVED the first one), based solely on that I will actually go see this in the theater! Love you guys, keep up the good work!
I saw this movie tonight and this movie was excellent. The actress was phenomenal and it was super believable. The scene where she had the flashback of the car accident and she starts crying was so raw 😫 I felt so bad for her. I agree Joseph, there was no “filler” in this movie and each scene was solid and great character development. I was so anxious the whole time and entertained watching this
Smile 2 was actually a great sequel. I feel like there's a deeper meaning to have Skye wear sequence clothing, she's shining bright but no one really knows what's she going through. Her mom pushes her to get the tour back on after what happened to Paul last year, she's got her whole team supporting and agreeing with whatever she doesn't need.....and then there's Gemma. Gemma felt like the only real person in Skye's life who was honest. Her mom's whole "oh I gave up my life" speech, I was like lady your her mother that's what a parent does did Skye ask you to be her manager...no you made the choice to be. I swear having a stage parent would be terrible. Then there's alfredo, he was played so well, Alfredo reminded me of stalker cases like Bjork and Christina Grimmie where the fans are so obsessed to the point where you don't know what will happen, that apartment scene was so well done. Amazing film!
Not only has Naomi Scott been in Aladdin & Charlie’s Angels, she also was in the Power Rangers movie & the underrated Disney Channel original movie, Lemonade Mouth.
My theory about Marcus leaving the freezer is that he wanted Skye to actually die, alone, so the curse wont spread, but somehow the entity manages to kill him
Yea,but he didn't inject sky with the compound yet. If he didn't stab her, what's stopping her from walking out freezer, because the door was still propped open. The last 30 mins last me shook too.
No there was never a freezer Marcus and Skye only met in the bar after that point they never met again I believe the entity caught on Marcus was planning to get rid of the curse and the entity turned on it Skye and pretended to be Marcus giving Skye hope to then be drive into more insanity which is what the entity needs

Parker Finn is a force to be reckoned with. Here I was thinking 2022's Smile was a MASTERPIECE. Now, its accompanying sequel takes it up a HUGE notch! This was not a useless cash grab of a sequel. This is a well done horror film. Naomi Scott should DEFINITELY be an awards contender. Naomi and Demi in The Substance DESERVE Oscar nods. IMPRESSIVE and VISCERAL! ❤
I watched this review before spending my lil money & I just left the theatre and y’all were right! This movie was soooo good I actually jumped during some scenes.
I enjoyed the movie but that ending was really baffling to me. It throws the whole thing into disarray. So all that was imagined? But if so what was she doing the whole time in reality and how did she end up performing at the concert? If this demon or entity can make someone imagine entire days then it's impossible to overcome. Once you're infected you're done. I don't know if they plan on making a smile 3 but with this ending I really wouldn't see the point because there's no hope for the protagonist. Although it does create an interesting question about what happens if multiple people witness the death. Do all of them get infected?
It was explained to her that after so many days exposed to the curse/demon that the host can become totally detached from reality. In this instance the demon gave her a false sense of still being in control while manipulating her the whole time

This movie was ok, but I didn't like how (SPOILER) the scene where she killed her mom and such did not happen. I really didn't like that. Also, was Morris (the guy whose brother had the smile disease) not real ? This movie arbitrarily decides what it wants to be real or not. It's not cool for there too many "not real" or dream sequence scenes. It pissed me off. I still enjoyed it and will give it a 6/10.
When I first saw the trailer for this movie I was a little skeptical because of that fact that some sequels especially in horror don’t always do so well. I saw this movie today with the bf and we had a great time. 100% agree that if you never saw the first Smile you can absolutely see this one and just be drawn in by the glitz, trauma, and horror.
