CFL will NOT be hit. You don't need to panic. We'll get some feeder bands. And we'll get tropical storm weather. Multiple RELIABLE sources predict the same path. Times have changed. It's NOT 1992 with Hurricane Andrew anymore. That was a Cat 5 over 200 tornadoes!!! We looked like someone dropped a bomb on us. Took 2yrs to begin to come back. Many of us who lost our homes NEVER did. Just prepare. Clean up your yard. Haul anything in that can be blown away. Bc all that crap becomes dangerous missiles for others. Bring your pets in. Protect those who can't come inside. Hope when it makes landfall, it's only a Cat 2. And doesn't stall. Thinking of those in the Panhandle..
🙏🙏🙏
Schools are closed the rest of the week across the pond from Tampa. Praying for all my Florida people🙏🏻🙏🏻

Prayers for everyone in Florida. I am in Central Georgia and it looks like it’s coming this way as well. Getting everything charged up and emergency, flashlights and candles at the ready.
Northwest Ga here...I'm checking and getting things ready too
I worry for folk in Tallahassee who will lose power and have tree damage and roof damage. Destin and Panama City are extremely lucky. They are right on the coast but this one avoids them completely I don't know why they are panicking.
NW GA here as well, getting my gear ready l, going in the morning to get gas for the generator before I head to work. Theyre saying we could have widespread power outages here as well as flooding.. @reneekeithley7653
Yes so I'm in my pool getting leaves out , neighbors in her garden and the tornado sirens go off. No thunder, lightning just wicked dark sky north of my suburb in Louisville. Check radar , back in got it clean ...for now!! Praying for everyone's safety in the path of Helene. Thank Ryan
Praying 🙏 for Everyone in the path 🙏 Thank you Ryan y'all stay safe too.❤
Don't be scared! Be prepared! Best weather slogan since "turn around, don't drown."
I wish one that would get spread that much was the one my parents used when me and my sister would complain about not having power after one moves through. "Wires start fires." Me & my sis were Louisiana Gulf Coast as children, and North Carolina Outer Banks as teens.
In the event of a power outage, having frozen gallon bottles of water may save your freezer and fridge contents. If you have a barbecue grill, make sure you have a full propane tank for it. Make certain your portable phone chargers are fully charged, too.
No lets go clog the grocery stores and start yelling at others fighting in checkout lines for water and toilet paper, thats what i observed today near tampa at a publix. Police had to stop the hysteria over water and toilet paper for crying out loud.
@@Bothomas-vm5hz Wow. Just wow.
@@ERAforALLI think anyone that lives on the Gulf Coasf needs to invest in a generator and a couple of large gas cans.A generator makes life so much easier. I bought one for Irma. I wish I bought one for Katrina as I spent 6 weeks without power. I envied the folks two streets over that got power restored a couple of days before. It was miserable at night as I could not sleep in the heat. Had to go to work feeling exhausted. I used my generator again two weeks ago when a cat 2 storm hit Louisiana. I ran the generator and it was great with a windiw unit a/c. All my neighbors have generators..it gets noisy in my neighborhood with all of them running. But boy does a generator make a difference!!

For what? They could run footage of some weather fool in his baseball cap and rain gear in the rain and wind from 5 years ago and no one would know the difference. All looks the same.
@@robertd9850 They go in after the storms and help people who are impacted. They give out supplies and food.
@@Michele_catmommy67 The weather people are not handing out food and supplies. That's the Red Cross. The weather people stand in the wind and rain in their news logo'd baseball cap and windbreaker and breathlessly talk about the hurricane as though nothing like this as ever happened. Thank you from the Bigbend. Taking a nap before the crazy starts. Grew up on the coast of NC. Moved down to South Florida era ago.
50ish-lol North Florida. This isn't good wherever this storm hits. Be safe, everyone. 🫶
Let’s keep everyone in our prayers, especially me since I live on gulf coast around Tampa. The Big Bend is about to get slammed again but with a major and more dangerous hurricane. Stay safe out there y’all, especially to our first responders who will be working tirelessly during this event. We’ll also have to lookout for the second disturbance down in the Atlantic that has 80% chance of formation in the next seven days.

If you are in Tampa Bay - go now.
@@susannbasta2972 I’m in zone C but my family is monitoring and deciding right now.
Counter clockwise spin up into land and inland
Watching from Poland - I have family in Central FL including my 92 year old mom who lives alone. Thankfully she is 40 miles inland.
Is there anyone nearby her that can either take her to their house or can at least make sure she remains safe?
40 miles is not that far. She should not be alone.
🙏🏼
Please get your Mom to go where other people are and where she can feel comfortable and safe. 40 miles inland from the coast is like being one block over. Also important: are there ANY bodies of water near her? Also: 40 miles from the coast is low lying area which means the torrential rain causes flooding, severe flooding and the hurricane pushes sea water inland. She may lose power, no electricity, 80+ degree heat-that is disastrous for elderly people.
Florida here, east coast. Prayers for everyone on the other side, et al.
Thanks for keeping us updated, Ryan.

I'm glad the forecaster are starting to forecast this thing as a real threat. I'm in the response business. My people called yesterday and told me they had 888MB readings, looking at cat 4-high 5. They aren't usually wrong
Just happy to get more rain in Ohio, hopefully everyone in the path of the storm stays safe and aware
@@ZachHighwind Hurricane Ike did A LOT of damage to the Ohio Valley, and it wasn’t heading directly there, as this model shows. We had a lot of wind damage and a massive, lengthy power outage. I suggest that you prepare for the latter: freeze gallon jugs of water now for your freezer. If you have a barbecue grill, make sure you have a full tank of propane. Take care.
Hopefully we, in Ohio, will be getting enough rain out of this to put a dent in the drought that we're in the middle of! Everyone stay safe and weather aware! 😌
Stay safe everyone 🙏 appreciate you Ryan
It’s been a relatively quiet year here in central Georgia, so this will be one of the biggest storms we’ve seen so far! My hubby drives an hour to work but thankfully he can work from home. We just had a baby and I don’t want him on the roads with this storm coming!
@@reborka very wise. Injuries and deaths for less severe storms are often associated with those who are traveling. I live near Georgia and when the last hurricane came here several people died in car accidents. No one checks to make sure they have the supplies they need to not go out.
he's not going to work from home because everytime a storm like this comes through central GA we lose power for days lol
Stay safe! Stock up on filtered water for you and baby ♥ sending good vibes!
I lived in Florida until 2018, since then other than that random storm in pensacola that came out of nowhere and did affect that area horribly, I have no really dealt with a hurricane here. Doesnt seem like anyone I know nor my job is even paying attention to it. I just got some water and lights because the community I live in loses power for the slightest wind and someones water breaks every like 3 months lol so who knows. But how are you feeling about this storm and should we be preparing the way we would do in florida despite not being close to the coast?
(I lived in Miami and people threw hurricane parties lol but we still didnt have work for a few days)
Will there be tornadoes??

Ryan is so chill as he reports. Experience tells me to get out of Tampa Bay, batten down , unplug, move things high, take your papers & get out NOW. It shall flood. Don't know if sandbags would help.
Thanks for keeping me updated Ryan!🌦️☀️🌪️
Living in Northeastern FL right now close to Georgia, we had some flooding about a week ago, maybe a bit longer. Where I live specifically it was pretty bad, and it's swampy so it holds a lot of water. The flooding could be really bad from this hurricane because of that and if the tide is high + surge. So we'll see what happens. Hoping as many people as possible stay safe.
Thanks for the update Ryan. It's all in God's Hands. Prayers for all of Florida and beyond.
Almost moved to Pensacola a few years ago. Saw alot of places getting fixed from damages and tarps on roofs. Glad I didnt move there.
i’ve been waiting for this 🌪️ STAY SAFE Y’all🩵💙
Holy Crap! We're in North Tallahassee. Straight up!!!
Don't panic too much. Fill up on gas for your vehicle and get gas for your generator. You will lose power. Get bread and cans of beans. Candles and flashlights. But if you have a generator you should be okay
It is good to invest in generator. I spent days looking for a generator after Irma hit. Than i bought a small generator as it was the only one they had. The next day Home Depot brought out the proper size ones. The generators really made life easy. I didn't have one for Katrina and suffered for 6 weeks without electricity...it was miserable at night. We used to go to the Mall to take a nap as it had a/c. You will just have to line up for gas for the generator. Otherwise it is rough without a generator as you can't rest during the night. I don't know how the old timers did it without electricity. Praying for you and your family. We has 6 hurricanes in 5 years in Louisiana. It is never easy i know. Stay calm for your health.
Get the heck out of dodge!
Very strong winds. 35 years ago yesterday we "South Carolina" suffered through Hurricane Hugo. Although I lived over 150 miles inland we were a direct hit with the right side of the eye of the storm.
The winds picked up 6:30pm on the 22nd and at midnight the winds were very strong and we got up to sustain winds in Lancaster county by 3am of 95 mph and the wind would not let up until 7am.
Yeah I definitely recommend Hugo. I went through them all in the Caribbean especially Hugo. Who can forget him🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
@@wendysplace3867 I was only in the 2nd grade when Hugo came through my area of NC, and I still remember how scary that was. It was a different kind of storm for us. I am praying for everyone in the path of Helene!!
I was in upstate SC as a kid when Hugo came through. It left an impression for sure as so many of us remember it as youngsters.
